Hi
Wow, I'm excited about the BL challenge.

I'm Melanie (TechieMom), 34, mother of 2 and wife of 1. I've just started my weight-loss journey in the last 3 months but I'm trying to stay focused and I'm sure the challenge will help. I'm currently struggling with my eating habits but I've managed to establish a solid 4 day a week gym routine.

GO Blue!!

Hay Blues-ers!! :dancer:

I'm so stoked for the challenge to be up again. I've taken a mental break from focusing on weight loss between challenges and I'm ready to get geared up again.

My short intro: I'm Kim, homeschooling mama to my two hooligans and wife to the fantastic Hadaad (who is also a Blue Team member this time!). I've done one TBL challenge and lost most of my 30 lbs there (23ish I think). My focus has been on eating less, eating smarter, and moving more. The last challenge saw me complete my goal of running my second half-marathon, and I'm now in maintenance mode with my running. I've got a 16K trail race next weekend then a 10 mile road race in October. Running has been a fantastic weight-loss tool for me and it's had a huge impact in my life.

So here we go with day 1 of the challenge! I've kicked things off by having a smoothie instead of cold cereal, which is a huge pitfall for me. I can walk away from most processed stuff but I love love love the cereal.

GO BLUE TEAM!!!! :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3:

YEAH BLUE!!! :carrot:

My name is Stacey and I am from the great state of South Dakota! I am a full time mommy to my 3 beautiful kids. I have been married to my best friend for 12 years. I am new to using message boards so forgive me if I mess up too bad! I am a great lurker but I am still trying to figure out how to actual post things. :p

I don't really have a "plan" yet, I am going to start watching portions and exercise at least 5 days a week. I lost 5 pounds already just by not eating after supper, WOW!

Anyway, I am really excited to make new friends and lose some weight along the way!

Stacey

Hello, Blue Team! I am Kori! This is my first TBL Challenge. I'm 35, newly married (2 weeks), and the mom of an 11-year-old DD. I moved to Newfoundland with my DH last year. He's from here, I'm from Alberta where we met. Long story short, he couldn't find a job here, and now he works in Northern Alberta, and I'm here in NL. But DD and I are happy here!

I started my weight loss journey in April 08 at 175 lbs. I wanted to lose 35 lbs for my wedding Aug 30, but only lost 23. However, my dress fit great, and I looked Fabulous!! Now I want to take off the last few pounds and tone up. I follow WW flex, and am going to go to TOPS with MIL, because WW is $$pensive. I also do C25K, and arm weights. The more I do, the more I want to do. I may throw in yoga, and I may join the local running club. I also get a lot of exercise shrieking and running away from my new husband!!

I love 3FC and value my new friends. I get so inspired when I watch TBL, and combining them is the best idea!

GO BLUE TEAM!!

Tamara 09-14-2008 11:14 AM

Hey Blue Team! I'm happy to be here. My name is Tamara. I'm a recent college graduate from the best city in the world! First of all, I'm a music junkie... love it all! I love beauty products and makeup: LUSH, Bare Minerals, MAC, and nail polish (OPI, China Glaze).

This will be my first TBL Challenge and my first time watching TBL on television. My weight loss journey has started and restarted over the past 3 years. But this leg of the journey began in January 08, stopped in March 08 and then restarted in June 08. I can't wait to finally shake this weight off, and get serious about healthy living. I love being outside (to walk, run, jumprope) during the warmer months, but as it gets colder I will head back to the gym. I've lost about 10 pounds so far, and I'm looking to lose another 20.

Nori71 09-14-2008 11:15 AM

So glad to be on the BLUE team again!!!! Nice to see all my old teammates and also the newbies!

Kori - I'm soooo excited for TBL to start on Tuesday too!!

I'm Nori, 37, live in Seattle, been married for going on 10 years and have 2 little girls ages 3 & 4. I'm not following a specific plan. I do count calories. Emphasis on whole foods and exercise - cardio and weihgt training. I'd love to lose 20-25 pounds this challenge. I think last challenge I lost 16? Cannot quite remember.

Woohoo - I'm a little of a junkie also! Although we recently started following a budget, so I try to stay away from sephora!

Tamara 09-14-2008 11:28 AM

Nori, budgetsmudget! LOL... just kidding. I am beginning recovery for bad budgeting/spending/wasting money, so I understand. The plan is to stash money away from each pay period, and then do hauls at Lush, MAC, Bare Escentuals, and candle etailers. I'll also save $$ for my online nail polish supplier that sells OPI and China Glaze for cheap.

Hi to all my BLUE Teammates! :cheer3:

My fiance and I :val2: are taking "We Are Family" to heart. We both signed up for this challenge. However, he's on the RED team.

We have been working together to lose weight for the past 90 days. Between the two of us we have lost a total 124 pounds . We are both dedicated to living a healthier lifestyle.

:flow1:My personal goal: 225 by the end of this challenge:flow1:

Hi Everyone,
I just logged my starting weight and am looking forward to getting started.
My primary objective for today is to make sure I accurately weigh and record all of my food, even the little bites I take here and there. They DO add up!

Good Luck Teammates

:oOoooo Tamara!
Sounds like you have "sources" for great beauty products on the cheap! Hope you will provide links so we can all be skinny and beautiful for Christmas this year!

:cheer3::cheer3::cheer3:3 cheers for BLUE!:woohoo:

Good Morning Teamies! Can't wait to get rolling! This is my second BL challenge, (formerly on the Black Team) I lost about 11 lbs last time around, hoping to increase that this time, and I plan to work HARD!

I am in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Oregon) which I love 3/4 of the year and moan about during the gray winters here. Married for almost 2 years, Dh is supportive of my weight loss journey and is getting healthier just living with me ;)

Calorie counter/WW plan awareness and walking/jogging/strength training is how I plan to drop these pounds.

I'll be back later today for more. Have a great Sunday Team--Make this day count!

Afternoon Chicas!

My name is Michelle and I'm 23, I've been married to my husband Daniel for a little over a year now, we don't have any children just my one dog Lexi. We just bought our house in January so we are still working on making it the best we can.

I just graduated from a technical college with my associates in Business Systems Administration and I'm working on my associates in Accounting Admin. I usually go to class 4 nights a week after work, but I'm not scheduled for a few terms because of lack of classes for me that are available to take.

I've run the Biggest Loser challenge since I basically showed up on the 3FC forums in September of 05. Someone else was running them prior and they dropped the ball, so I picked it up and have carried the torch ever since.

I've been called the weirdest multitasker by a lot of my friends and I tend to juggle a lot. No fears, I have a way of making it through it all. ;)

My goal this challenge is to really buckle down and get exercise back in my life. Its my biggest problem area, and last challenge my complete lack of motivation caused me to only lose a half a pound. I want to finally get the majority of this weight off! :dizzy:

vixjean 09-14-2008 12:36 PM

Hi All,
You can call me vix or vixjean. I am 28 and gained a considerable amount of weight in 2005-2006. I have been working at this for a solid year now and lost about 20 lbs. I am not a fan of drastic measures. I am slow and steady, but promise to support this group all the way through! :cheer3:

This will be my 3rd BL challenge. My goal for this challenge is to lose 15 lbs. I am going to start calorie counting and working out again. I love the support from 3FC and this challenge. My mini goals are below in my signature.

I worked for 2.5 years as a fitness instructor, and can help with workout questions, feel free to ask me. I am very poor in the food area though, so expect my questions on that topic.

I work in a very stressful environment, importing and U.S. Customs Brokerage. I work long and stressful hours, so I am not usually available during the day to chat, but love coming on here in the evenings to check up my team.

GirlyGirlSebas 09-14-2008 12:36 PM

Hiya Bluesers!

My name is Rhonda and this is my 4th Biggest Loser Challenge. I'm the wife to another of our Bluesers, Frank Ricard, and Mom to two daughters, 8 and 12.

They say that three's a charm, but I'm betting that the 4th time around is the charm for me! I've made some great OL friends and had a lot of fun with the last three challenges, but it's time to buckle down and get healthier and thinner. Last year, I lost 30 pounds. My goal is to lose another 30 for this year and get into Onederland. I basically follow the Southbeach way of eating, but I've decided to add calorie counting to the mix. I've also decided to get serious with the C25K program and finally put that gym membership to work.

I'm ready to rock this challenge. Who's with me?

:cheer3::cheer3::cheer3: GO BLUE! :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3:
