No, it doesn't burn unless you scratch it, which is a no no unless you want it all over your body. It just feels itchy, but putting a really warm wet wash cloth and holding it no there helps with that. It's the feeling of not being able to open my eye all the way that is worst. I don't have anymore of the clear lotion, so am using the pink stuff (just have to remember to wipe it off before I go pick up at preschool).

Everyone with weekend issues...I have the same problem, so I allow more calories on those days and take less calories during the week. i also try to get as much extra exercise as possible, even if it is doing squats while cooking supper, or mimicking the WATP moves while watching TV. This helps me keep it in check, but it takes constant deliberate focus on it, or I slip.

I was listening to a talk radio show this morning and a girl called in who has lost 130 lb. and she said something that really hit home with me...she said somewhere along the way (of her weight loss) she realized she was focused on the wrong thing. "My body is made to do things, not look pretty." She said she realized instead of worrying about how she looks doing things, she needed to just worry about actually doing things she wanted.

It hit home with me that I should be doing the things I want to do because my body was made to move and get out there and DO THINGS, so who cares what I look like doing it right now.

Thought that might spark something for others as well.

Purple - That's true I like that, and it's good to remember that... like when i'm running on a treadmill. The fact that I can do it at all is good, I don't have to wear a ballgown while I do it.

However, I have to say that from an artsy-fartsy perspective, I find bodies in motion to be quite beautiful.

THIS is exactly why I don't weigh myself on Mondays! By Wednesday it's a *true* picture.

GOOD points to share, Theresa! Thanks!

Hi everyone - just saying hello as right now it's too hard to keep up with everything. Yesterday I participated in the first ever 3FC 5K. It was a lot of fun and really neat to get an entire website of people from all over up and moving for a day or a weekend. They might even do it on a monthly basis. Could be another "on the side" challenge for us as we gear up for the next round.

Thanks for sharing the talk show thoughts Purplefirefly. When I watch TBL on TV, I walk through the house and climb stairs during all of the commercials or just stand in place and march. Takes some of the guilt off of watching TV.

Afternoon Everyone ! !

Nothing new to report from here. The weekend was nice...we did a little shopping (new shoes for the gym (I'm very thankful for my employee discount, I can get New Balance shoes for about $30/pair))...we made it to the gym both days...I made a fantastic dinner of chicken fajitas yesterday, and all the washing & ironing is caught up for the week.

I had a .6 lb weight gain this week, but I'm not sweating it...so many little things could cause that. The switch to calorie counting is good.

And now for my random thoughts on what has been posted since I was last online....

- How did we go from baggy underpants to commando?

- Eliptical trainers....I'm not there yet, a tip of the cap to you who can do them. I suppose I should try, but I am enjoying the bike, rowing machine, and treadmill right now.

- Tips on being frugal....boy am I the wrong person to have anything to say about that one. I am not the financial person in our house, and there is a reason why.

- Goal weight? Right now I don't know if I have one. We just focused on losing 10% at a time as mini goals and a 100lb loss as the main goal. Thankfully/hopefully, I will be needing to set a new main goal soon.

- Goal for the next challenge? I want to hit the 100lb loss before the challenge and then I have a 10% goal to meet by July 4th.

Man, I hate that hour after lunch...everything is dragging by. Ok, well if you are as bored by reading this as I am by writing it....WAKE UP.

Later ~

Hey there! ITs been a great Monday! Lost another 1.5 lbs and that with expecting my TOM.

To keep my family's grocery budget down. I plan every meal and snack. It cuts out impulse buys. Takes about 45 min to do that especially if your are including new recipies. I save aprox $40 per week doing that. What other job is going to pay you $40 per hour to plan? I look at what ever money I help save this 1 and 1/2 income family as a wage. Its my job to reduce expenses. I also use many of the other tips. Going cammando saves money too!

Enjoy your evening!

I got to watching some reruns of TBL. Got me alittle motivated. I would love to look as good as those women do after they have lost all that weight. I know I can look good too but just can't get off my bottom. I know I need to and I know I can but sometimes too lazy and sometimes just not motivated enough. I just wanna look good again. I wanna feel sexy again.

Purple - Poison ivy is a big fear of mine. I've never had it but I am sure I have walked through it many times. I never even knew what it looked like until we bought our house 4 years ago. It is growing quite thick up and down our road. Thankfully there doesn't appear to be any on our property or surrounding lots that the kids play in.

I love my Diva. I'll never go back. You can't make me.

Menu planning is a big money saver here. I invested the $350 in a new freezer last tax season just for that reason. I scour the grocery ads and buy in bulk and freeze. Just remember to package properly so it isn't freezer burnt when it comes out.

Turn down your water heater a few degrees if you haven't already.

I am up .3 pounds for this weeks weigh in. My 10 day trend is down .4 from last week though. I am really struggling to stay anywhere near the 1500mg of sodium the doc wanted. My goal is to have an average of under the RDA of 2400mg.

I have got to get on track. My 15 year reunion is in less than two months.

I have a silly question...if you use cloth napkins instead of papertowels, dont you then use more electricity because you have more laundry? I'm sorry if that sounds like a really dumb question its just how my little mind is working today LOL!
