Good evening all,

I'm so tired it's not funny. I didn't get enough sleep, and have worked out the usual Monday amount... plus helped the pool guy scrub down the sides of the winter blanket. I'm going to stay away from him tomorrow when he's back opening the pool. He's very chatty, and I felt funny just standing there not helping, so I helped. I wonder if I get a discount for that?

And I got a heart rate monitor today. I'm going to be changing over some of my treadmill sessions for swimming soon and I want to make sure I keep the basic calorie burn up. So I put all my info in and today I burned 1,113 calories over the different exercise sessions today. It did make me work a little harder during the first treadmill session (to get that heart rate up). In the end I'm not sure how much to trust the actual calories burned, but it will give me something to compare to once I get in the pool.

Of course it's 8:30 and I feel like I could hit my bed right now.

Well I finished my 5K yesterday. It was fun, just marching in place and stairs. And I guess my stair challenge wasn't such a good idea. Or maybe I did too much too soon. LOL. But hey, I like to challenge myself at least! LOL.

My left ankle feels sore, I was on my 9th set climb and was going bk down and stepped down on it funny. But I say getting myself from climbing them one time all outta breath to going up there 22 times in one day is purty good. I will still go up more times a day than usual from now on. Ah well, I tried.

Gotta go but I'll be back 2mrw! Hugs! Selina

I was on the computer earlier for to long and got chilled. It happens to me all the time. Well tonight instead of getting a sweatshirt I hopped on the treadmill. I only got 20 minutes done but I did manage to work up quite the sweat. At one point I even sprinted at 6.7mph!!! It was only for 15-20 seconds but I don't care. I did it and didn't go flying through the wall so I am VERY proud of myself. I even did another sprint at 6.0 after that.

Off to plan my food for tomorrow.

i cant wait to start TBL challenge...this is all very new to me but i'm really looking forward to to.
i've been updating my 3fc blog with my fitness goals and what i have actually done (as in the 20=something april challenge)...and decide to try web walking again. i yahoo mapped a place i'd like to go and found out the distance from my house to there, 1262 miles. so every mile i log will go towards getting there....something to work towards and gives some motivation. i put that on my blog and am gonna update that too.

Hi everyone! I just posted on the thread to sign up so I thought I'd pop on here and do a quick hello. I'm trying not to be too intimidated by the HUGE thread!

Joining a TBL team sounds like a really great way to get myself back on track and staying there. I was doing really well with 6 solid weeks of fitness and 6 lbs lost, but I injured myself on a run last week and things kind of fell apart. I was upset because I was stressed about the injury keeping me from joining a 1/2 marathon clinic later this month (still not sure if I'll make it!) and instead of doing other activities and eating mindfully I stopped all activity and went back to emotional eating.

Tonight, though, I was back at the gym for a gentle workout since most of the pain is gone. I stuck with the elliptical out of kindness to my poor leg even though the treadmill looked so tempting! So, starting tonight I get my head back in the game about proper eating too.

Woman, you just KEEP on showing me reasons why I should LOVE you, more and more.

It shouldn't surprise you that I gave this book to my own daughter some time ago (she is 15 now) and when I perform in the "Vagina Monologues", I am ALWAYS "The Angry Vagina".

Aren't they fantastic?!! I LOVE my HRM!! It's been a great investment. I push myself harder and it's paying off. I burn approx 1100 calories (per the HRM) with 1 hour of weight training and 1 hour of cardio. I don't "count" my exercise calories for anything in particular, but it's interesting.

I haven't read C*** yet, but one of my sisters has and really enjoyed it. I'll have to ask her if I can borrow it.

C***? Interesting!!! LOL. Dunno anything bout that.

Anyhoo, I should be in bed but working on tax stuff. Waiting on two of our kids SSNs. Two caseworkers are great about it, one slacks really bad. So we wait. I may either file without them and amend later. Or file an extension. Not sure yet and waiting on him to get home from work to help me decide! LOL. Uggggh!!!!

I never ever wait to do them. And I've done my own since I was old enough to work, took H & R Block's class once I got grown. Used TurboTax online this year, first time ever used anything. And always did ok. But this year we have our business stuff and our new house, etc. Just too much!!! So it looks like it's ready to send once we decide when. Blah blah blah. I'll shut up now, has nuthin' to do with weight loss! Cept I keep wanting to eat bc I hafta wait up for him! I'm bored and tired. Not good. Imma go watch TV, might march a little too.

Nite!

Oh yeah, was gonna say too, I want a HRM!!! How much do they run? Never looked at them. Think it would help me alot because I tend to slow about halfway thru and never pick the pace up again.

Selina - you can get Polars (imo, the best) for about $80 I think? Mine was a little more since it had some extra programs, but in the end I don't use them that much, so should have just got the basic model I think. You some tax $ to get yourself one!

Alright, since the topic was started, I have a question for those of you out there that use Heart Rate monitors (HRM).

What type of HRM do you have & how do you like it?

I am considering getting one (we have one for the elliptical, but I want one for everything). Any help would be great, and there are probably some other people other than me that are interested too.

Selina - Get those Taxes done girl
THANKS!
