Good Morning Red team!! Running late as usual so I'll be back later on!! I had a fantastic OP day yesterday! I'm all packed up ready for the gym after classes today too!!
Emily...there is no such thing as JUST one pound!! You did fantastic!!! Keep it up! Chelle...What I would change is...if you dont participate in the challenge you are eliminated. Participation should be mandatory and freebies are for those of us who participate. This isnt a weigh in thread its a SUPPORT thread with a little friendly competition, I get really aggravated at having to keep track of someone's stats and I dont have a clue who they are. I think its rude to sign up for something and not participate and I think it weighs the team down. Whoa...almost went off on a tangent LOL!! Okay gotta run to class, Have a wonderful morning Red team!! |
I just looked at Tina's WMB pictures...
OMG! You are such a teeny little thing! I could just put you in my pocket little pixie! |
Good morning Red Team. I am DOWN another pound. I'm not even going to attempt to figure out why, I am just greatful! I was on the go all day yesterday, so maybe that was part of it. Another day of running back and forth is upon me, so maybe I will shock my body into losing some more. I haven't seen 197 in over a year! I am so excited!!! And, it is another pound away from 200. That is the part that always seems to help me. Like a buffer in case I have water retention - I don't have to see 200 even if I am up a pound. Woo hoo!!! Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday on Sunday by the way. It was not happy, nor was it birthday-esque, but I am just greatful for my health and my family and friends and that made the day alright.
Off to work, hoping for a continued loss or at least a maintain. Cat |
This is the first time that I have participated in TBL challenge and I am loving it. I don't get to post as often as I would like but this challenge has really kept me focused. I am trying new foods and new exercises. I really appreciate all the support I have received from my team. I will definately return for the next season.
I like the challenges that Melissa gives us to do during TBL show. I really enjoy them and it is motivating to know that others are doing the same thing. I would like to see more challenges like....minutes walked per week or number or times working out each week or number or days staying OP. When I lived in the UK. We found out the distance between London and Glasgow and we challenged ourselves to walk that many miles on the treadmill over the course of a few months. It was a lot of fun. I am not sure how to deal with participation. I think tracking the number of times a person posts seems like a lot of trouble for the leaders. Maybe there should be a roll call on Mondays or something like that. |
Good morning ladies! Well for the QOTD, I couldn't agree with Melissa more. I am sure it gets very frustrating for her to have to track people who aren't participating. I know life gets busy and computers break :) but if someone isn't participating after a week or however long is predetermined, other then to WI, I think they should be eliminated. It does bring down the rest of the team. My own personal weight loss hasn't been great lately, but I am still here, and still going to make a big effort. Ok, think I got that one, without repeating myself and sounding like a complete moron :)
2 more days until I get my "Total Gym". I am so excited. My downfall lately has been baking. I have just wanted to bake bake bake. I made 2 different kinds of cookies and 2 different kinds of biscotti. They are all WW those, so that's good. I just don't know what my deal is. :) Well better get busy around the house. |
I just wanted to pop in a say good morning. I slept in a today, so I'll be back after I get the kids on the bus for personals and what not:)
|
Good morning Ladies! No more being down on myself. I'm over it. You all are amazing and inspiring!
Karen-- Congrats on being our team's Biggest Loser this week AGAIN! :bravo: You Go Girl! QOTD-- This is my first BL challenge. I tend to be a lurker, but I have pushed myself to be involved with this challenge because support is vital for success. It's been fun to check in every day and get to know my team members. Isn't there already a rule in place that everyone needs to check in with their team at least once a week? Why don't team leaders simply cut people that don't check in once a week unless they have gotten permission in advance from their team leader (in case of travel or other extenuating circumstances)? It might be more work for team leaders at first but it should lighten their load for future weeks. What do you think? Perhaps a roll call day would be easier. Although I would hate to penalize a regular poster for missing roll call. |
Good afternoon buddies,
I'm just popping on quickly to wish everybody a happy day. I have to run out during my lunch. Melissa: That is just AWFUL!! Especially to think it was a parent who took that money. Being a teacher I know how hard our PTA parents work and we just did a chocolate pop funraiser for valentines day too. One o fmy students sold 360 of them, I would be so pissed to know that someone stole that money that he worked hard for! BBL |
Muse and Tina – I have a Jari Love and a Gilad dvd on my Netflix, but I noticed that both require a weight bench or step. I don’t have either. What do you use or do you have another alternative for me to try? I used to have a step that I got rid of in a garage sale many years ago. Same with an elliptical I used to have. (Man I wish I still had those.) Is there anything to watch out for if I buy a weight bench or step? I found a couple of other dvd’s on Netflix that don’t require a bench/step that I’m gonna try until I figure out what to do about the bench/step.
Melissa (Hun) – Congrats on finishing week 3 and good luck on week 4. I’m sorry about the PTA money. That’s infuriating. I don’t get people who steal from others but to steal from kids just stinks! Grrrrr! And thanks again for all of the hard work you put into this for us. You’re a great leader! We appreciate you! Rennie – I have Leslie Fast Start Fast Firming that came with the Pink band. I also have an older one that had quite a bit of toning to it. I think it was Fat Burning walk (maybe from before she was calling it WATP?) I’ve done them each a few times. I guess I need to do them more frequently. I’m going to try a few other DVDs as well to get some variety. Thanks for the comments on my weight loss. It feels great! I’ve been trying to think what I’ve done differently so that I can continue to do it! I bought some new drinking bottles. I had been using a 20 ounce one and finishing it off twice at work (40 ounces). Last week I started using a 32 ounce one and finishing it off twice (64 ounces) – just the right amount to earn $2 a day for our trip. I also exercised about 5 hours for the week instead of my usual 3 1/2 hours. While working through the Beck Diet Solution (I sound like a commercial, huh?), I’ve learned to eat slower and to have smaller portions. I’m not sure if there’s one thing that has made the difference or a combination of all of it. I’m still afraid that it’s a fluke, and I’m gonna wake up tomorrow 5 pounds heavier. :D It’s funny how our minds mess with us. Terapet – I do Zumba too and I love it. I’ve never figured my heart rate while doing it. I think my teacher doesn’t do as high intensity as other teachers. It seems to be just right for me. I started out not as intense but have been trying to up my movements and putting more into it. I’ve never done Pilates. What sort of work do they in your body sculpting class? Laura – Thanks for the “8 Minute Fitness” suggestion. I’ve been researching it this morning. I’m going to try some other ones on my Netflix and maybe order this one with some other ones I like. I wish they had the 8 minute on Netflix but they don’t. Anything that can stop me from using excuses is great. I can fit in 8 minutes somewhere. I’m sorry you had another up, but hang in there. Your loss is coming. I can feel it. Enjoy your Westin Workout room. That sounds awesome and I know you’ll take full advantage! Jen – Hang in there. If you’re keeping track of your food, it has to be something temporary. I read an article at the beginning of the year. I can’t remember exactly what it was about but the main idea that stayed with me is that you have to focus on the journey not the destination. If you focus on eating healthy and staying active, the weight loss will come with it. Don’t focus on the scale (as our fearless leader always says….scales are for fish! ;)) It’s great that you have a wonderful mother! Emily – thanks for checking in! Way to go on the 20 minute run. I knew you could do it. And 1 pound is awesome! Cat – Yea on getting to 197! 189 is just around the corner! You can do it! Kari – thanks for checking in! I can’t wait to hear about your Total Gym experiences. Enjoy! Hi Counting, Andi and Melissa73! |
Hello....okay the kids are on the bus, and the house is quiet!!! Ahhh this is blissful:)LOL! I never made the gym yesterday, but I had an awesome workout at home. I two videos back to back and I can feel it today. Food has been getting better. It's so frustrating to me though because exercise just comes easy to me, but eating has and I'm thinking always will be my struggle. I'm trying my best though, and everyday gets a little better. It's so cold here today, I can't take much more of this cold weather. I just feel like crawling under my covers until oh about April!LOL! Not much going on though just hanging out at home today. I ran last night and picked up a few little things for the kids Valentines Day gifts. I found some really cute stuff in the dollar section of Target. Kev and I don't do gifts...well he does get me flowers, so I guess he gets me a gift;) I love it though because he gives them to me a few days early so I can enjoy them Valentine's Day. Okay I'm rambling now. Hope your all doing well~
Melissa- I tell ya some people are just plain evil. Who would steal money from school, knowing that it is for the children. That really burns me...I hope whoever it is they catch. Counting- -2 BRRR...I feel ya though I'm ready to head somewhere really, really warm:) I need to post over in the challenge today Terapet- I'm thinking of signing up for a pilates class...it sounds like you really like yours so maybe I'll go ahead and give it a try. I hear it does wonders for your body! Laura- How cool to have all that stuff right in your room. That is what I call a deluxe accomadation:) Jen- My MIL had a knee replacement a few years ago, and she like your mom was such a trooper. I tell ya it was the best thing she ever did...she can walk miles now without pain or swelling...I think Counting and I will take some of that warm weather off your hands!LOL! Emily- Don't be silly girl, a 1 lb loss is great...it's 1 lb closer to your goal. Getting to bed early for me is never a problem. I need sleep and I drop wherever and whenever I'm tired:) DK- I think I'm going to try that 15 min. snack rule. Like you I'm a huge emotional eater, and this may be a way to help that. Cakses- WOOO-HOOO 197...that is fantastic! Keep it up girl~ Kari- How nice will it be to have a gym at your house...let us know how ya like it;) This cooler weather may be making you want to bake. I hate baking, but it sure makes me want to eat baked goods:)LOL! Melissa73- Have a great day girl~ Karen- I have a step, but sometimes I'm to dang lazy to pull it out, so I'll either use my stair case, or I'll do knee lifts during the step part. Sometimes I also do the moves their doing with the step just without the step. Don't ya hate when you get rid of stuff, and then want it back...very frustrating. Everyone else have a great day~ |
DK - I'm sorry that you've been having cravings. Like I've said several times on here and in my above post (yes, I sound like a commercial) that I am working through the Beck Diet Solution. I pulled out my book to see if there's anything helpful I can give you on cravings.
One thing that I suppose I knew but didn’t ever think about was the difference between hunger, desires and cravings. I am finding that I can deal better with cravings now that I can quickly identify that is what it is. Here’s from the book:
In another chapter, she talks about how to deal with cravings. I’m going to list a few examples. Mindset Techniques:
Behavioral Techniques
I don’t know if you’ll find any of this useful. These have helped me a lot along with the other knowledge I’ve gotten from the book. |
I haven't been all that motivated to exercise lately but I'm keeping with it. My Zumba class was canceled last night because the schools were closed due to ice. In the past I would have used that as an excuse to not exercise, but I went home and did a 50 minute DVD (the same amount of time my class would have been). Both yesterday and today I didn't feel like my morning workouts either, but I did them anyway. Granted they were easier workouts but workouts none the less.
This past weekend I did some Tae Bo videos that I got for a buck a piece (VHS's) at the Dollar store a few years ago. My arms and thighs are still sore today from my workout on Sunday. Maybe that's why I've been lagging. (along with the cold weather funk!) I noticed that the 25 minute Tae Bo workout got my heart pumping faster than my 45 - 50 minute workouts. I'll have to keep with it. My eating and water have been pretty good lately as well. Take care and have a GREAT day everyone! |
I just wanted to let ya all know that we won this week...it was really close between us and the black team... 0.43 and 0.42! WTG ladies~

QOTD: I would make it so there is only one freebie, and people are removed as soon as a second miss occurs (though if they seem to be a regular participant, and e-mail an excuse or something, exceptions could be made). I don't like that people take freebies instead of posting a gain - I'd rather see freebies used only when something goes wrong and you just can't get to your computer. Gains or not, we all support each other.
I also think the calculation of weight lost should only be for those who weighed in. It doesn't really make sense to include those who didn't weigh in that week. Finally, I agree with DK that I would love to see more mini-challenges like the ones Melissa gives us to do while watching TBL. What if these were forum-wide challenges, and the team that had the most participants got to add an extra pound to their weight loss for the week? If the challenges were for 24 hours only or something, it might make more people log in and participate to help their team. Right now, I feel like chat could be seen by a lot of people as an extra activity rather than part of the whole TBL challenge. Karen, that description of hunger vs desire vs cravings was really interesting! I'm going to start trying to classify them for myself, and I think it will really help. |
just popping in to say hi today to all my fellow red team members & Diva ;)
I am back to work today but still have little to no voice. Thankfully we do correspondences via e-mail with our branch reps so I am doing that today. Everyone here seems to be sick, we had 3 call in on my team of 18 and 3 more of us should not be here. I am down another pound today! I think I can safely say I have passed my 245 buffer! |
Karen - You are awesome...thank you! I am going to try this technique. I have noticed a pattern of afternoon snacking so I am going to try and plan some sort of activity (maybe cleaning out a closet or something) for when the craving/desire hits.
Tina - I know exactly how you feel. The exercise is much more natural for me than the eating. I have to work really hard to keep it in check. It is hard when you have kids and they want all the bad stuff. One of my main motivations is my children. I want to teach them to eat right. I think it is going pretty good. The other day they were begging for salad for dinner.....SCORE!!!! |
Andi18 - Congrats on the bumper number!!! I am only 2.4 lbs away from mine. I cannot wait to hit it. I bet it is a great feeling.
|
Good Afternoon Red team...flying by the seat of my pants again! I've got to run over to the school to help the treasurer out with some stuff. Poor thing has to deal with both her own personal account and the PTA. Come to find out one of the teachers wallets was stolen yesterday and another teachers this morning. What the heck is going on!!!?
I dont usually go to the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays but Muse has lite a fire in me! I went and had planned to run for an hour doing 1.5 running 3.5 walking. Well I only wore 1 sportsbra thinking it would be sufficient...lemme tell ya...NO! My poor girls! I was gonna just run and hold them with my hands but I cant imagine how that would look LOL! So I did do 30 minutes of the walk/run and I'm gonna do another 30 on the elliptical tonight during the show. I also walked to the park and ride lot instead of riding the bus! I just dont know what has come over me!! LOL! I read through posts and there is so much I wanna say but no time at the moment so I'm gonna have to come back! Way to go team on the win!! So close between Black and us just means we gotta pick it up next week! And a HUGE WAY TO GO to Karen for being the team BL!! Excellent job everyone!! Okay off to issue a BL challenge then to the school, have a wonderful afternoon! |
Watch the show challenge for this week!:
1) workout of your choice during the show and/or 2) 1-commercial break holding chair pose as long as you can. Rest and hold it again! do it as many times as you can for a whole commercial break! AND 1-commerical break holding plank pose for as long as you can. Rest and hold it again! Try to do that for a whole commercial break! AND (thought you were done huh?) 1-commercial break, shoulder press either with a light weight or without. (hold your arms out to your sides either holding a weight or pretending to, press your arms up over your head and back down. slow up-breathe out, slow down-breathe in) Good luck!! |
Good Afternoon winning team!
I think it is so cool that our team won again. I hope one of these weeks I can be more helpful than half a pound. I love, love, love my new heart rate monitor. I was concerned that I might have been overdoing it at times so now I can keep track of how I am doing during the entire workout and feel so much safer. Unfortunately, today on the treadmill I had to set the rate slightly lower then I had previously but it was still a good 30 minute workout and I was so much happier with my rate of recovery. Karen-I am not sure if they call it body sculpting or something else now. I have been going to these classes off and on for years so it may have a new name. We use hand weights, bars and tubing and pretty much hit all the target areas during the hour-abs, glutes, abductors, biceps, triceps, quads, calves and whatever those muscles in the shoulders and back are called. I love to see the progress over time. Thanks so much for the information on cravings. I think I will try to use the no choice with conviction idea. I always told my teenagers to just say no so I guess I could do the same thing! |

I have to wear two of them as well! :dizzy: |
Hun
That is so terrible. I live in a small town and understand how hard the people work to get money for the kids to have things. It boggles the mind that someone would do something like that. Darn, sounds like they have a serious problem going on there. Hope they find out who is taking the things. You are doing so great. Keel proud and keep the cousins in tight lol. Terapet Oh I agree. I think the Pilate's I do really helps everything feel better. Laura That is great. To have everything right there were you need it. How terrific. Jl We do think about you when you aren't around. Jel Never look at it as ONLY 1lb. Add a few of those together and they make a lot. Look at it this way. I have less to lose today than I did last week :) Chel I have thought about this from time to time. Many times I have seen people say ( through out the threads I chat in ), " I haven't been around and have put a few lbs back on. " Or, " If I didn't come here to chat and stay involved with everyone there are days I wouldn't stay on track." I know for myself. I need everyone here. The story's, the advice and the encouragement are needed each and everyday. It can depend on why people aren't posting. Are they very busy with work, do they have a sick loved one they are taking care of so they don't have spar time? That would be understandable. I personally, don't think here is any reason ( other than something very important ) when a person joins a challenge that they shouldn't have to join in with the chatting at least a couple of times a week. This challenge isn't just about losing weight. It is about being here for each other. I think chatting, to an extent, should be mandatory. If you don't join in then you shouldn't be here. spider Sometimes the only way not to snack is to keep the stuff out of the house. Just take a deep breath and straighten yourself on that wagon seat. The horses, pretty much, know the way. You just need to guide them. We are happy for you to be here. Each and every one of us adds something different to our little group. Kari I understand that can be a downfall lol. I made these delicious XXXXX lol. We all had a serving and I tossed the rest in the trash under coffee grounds. I can't believe I did that, what a waste of money BUT I know me; I would have eaten more and it is my favorite not everyone else's. cakes You just keep with it and enjoy each and every 1lb lost. I remember not so very long ago I was 197. You wait and see. Won't be very long and you will say darn there was a time I was 197, look at me now. Karen Did I forget to tell you congrats. Sorry Ksk I am happy for you that you are doing so well. Could be a combination of things. For me, the exercise is not helping me lose weight. I am losing the same amount now as I was losing before I started doing all this exercise BUT the exercise is great for the body. I feel so much better. I am toning and getting in shape as I am losing weight. None of this can be bad lol. I happen to be at the docs office today so I did my weigh in a day early. I am going to do my measurements tomorrow. Can't wait to see if there is any difference. It is great you are sticking with it even when you don't want to. I have times like that to I JUST DO IT. Tina I don't know if this will help but here is what I have been doing. Fit day is great for me. I sit and plan out what I am going to eat the next day before I go to bed. Now this may change if I decide to make something different for dinner for one reason or another but I pretty much stick to what I have set for myself. If it isn't on the list it doesn't get eaten. Has just become a habit. Makes it much easier to know if it is something I want to allow myself to have for the day or not. I can exchange one thing for another as long as it has the same or less of fat and carbs and is in the same food group. Andi Nice going on the weight loss. I sure hope you feel better soon. |
Shy~ you are too funny!!! And you should be so proud of yourself for throwing them out! I am going to send some of these goodies to work with DH.
|
Kari
Thank you. It was really hard for me. Growing up very poor I have never forgot about not wasting things. Even now when I can afford I don't spend lol. |
Gotta a church meeting tonight, so this will be quick.
CONGRATULATIONS TEAM! I just KNEW we would do well this week! You guys are awesome!!!! Karen - congrats - you are doing fantastic! Keep it up!!!!! Hun, I was treasurer and president of our PTA for years. I KNOW how hard it is to raise that money. That is just disgusting! I have Leslie's firming workout with the pink stretchie too! I love it and usually do it twice a week :) OK, I feel better - I have to wear a bra and a sports bra too - and I don't even run! Leslie's boosted walking gets me every time! QOTD - I love the challenge and the changes for this time around were good ones. I would like to see people that have not posted or weighed in the first week be removed from the team unless they PM their leader explaining their absence ( no Internet, vacation, business trip, etc.) It is disheartening to those working hard to have to count the results from someone that just signed up and has done nothing else. It is also disappointing to see so few people participating in the exercise challenge thread. Considering it spans all 3 teams, I should NEVER see a post from myself on the same page. :( I would be comfortable with making participation in the exercise challenge or chat thread required, but we do need to give consideration to those with hectic schedules. Posting once a week (unless you let your team know you will be gone, or have extenuating circumstances - weather, no Internet, etc.) is not too much to ask. I like the rule now about not being able to win unless you are a "regular" in the chat thread. |
Counting... Its so great to see your sunshine on the board, even if you are missing the sunshine!! We had those springlike temps today I think I'm over the below zero temps! Hope it was POP for you!
Laura...oh Yay on your room!! I know how you wanted those the last time around!! You sure do travel alot! Do you like that aspect of your job? Jen...that scale is nothing but a machine! Next week will be better just keep on doing what you know you gotta do!! The machine will have no choice but to reflect! Emily...thanks for the encouragement!! I'm gonna try C25K Week 4 and see how it goes! Its good to know I've got a backup plan just in case I cant do it...gonna keep running!! DK...not to sound like a BL episode but gum is really great for those cravings! Especially peppermint. The smell of peppermint too. Supposed to get rid of cravings. Cat...WWOOOOOHOOO!!! Girl its just gonna melt off now!!! I'm so excited for you!! Keep up the amazing job!! Kari...oh I'm so excited for you to get your Valentine! LOL! I love to bake too, but noone around here will eat it so I just dont. I made chocolate chip banana bread the other day and had to throw it away because it got moldy...oh it was good too!! Stinkers! |
Melissa, my job requires travel Mon through Thurs every week, and then Fridays we're back in our home city. However, until now, I've been staffed on projects in NYC (where I live) so I didn't have to travel. I have to say though, I'm loving it! The only thing I miss is not being able to cook, but I've gotten to try lots of neat restaurants, and since I can expense things, I don't have to feel as bad about eating half an entree (which is what I usually do to keep it healthy). It's neat to get to see different places, and I always have an extra feeling of accomplishment when I can eat well AND exercise while I'm on the road.
|
Tina....ah sleeping in!! I'm so jealous! I love to sleep in, I find the older I get the less I'm able to though! Dont you just LOVE a quiet house!! My favorite time of day LOL! As long as every day takes you a step closer to success you are winning!
Jen...last time around I tried to implement a rule that you had to check in with your team once a week. But, it got me all stressed out. This time I figure hey, I'm not gonna beg you to participate. If someone doesnt want to play with the team, they are the one missing out. They wont know how much support helps in this journey so their loss (or gain as it tends to be). Melissa73....did you see now we've got someone stealing teachers purses? Ugh! PTA has insurance that will cover the loss, teachers dont, the loss of ID alone is enough to drive a person mad! Just such a shame. I keep hoping it'll turn up somewhere. Karen...thanks so much for the compliments. You guys are such an awesome team you really do make it easy for me! I consider myself lucky to have such a great support system. And my success reflects it! So thank YOU! I hope that exercise bug bites you!! It got me right in the tush! Its the weirdest thing. SB... good to see you!! Laura...it used to be that if you didnt weigh in you were out. And we had a few that got lost because of it and it was just a computer or timing issue. But when you make that rule you HAVE to stick to it. I like the addition of the freebie for those occasions. And I think you've got a good point on when to use them. I hadnt thought about that. I've got another mini challenge for our team, just a short one to start a healthy habit. I love little challenges too, just dont want anyone to get overwhelmed. Andi...Yay she passed the bumper!! WOOHOO!! I hope you get to feeling better and find that voice again!! excellent job on the loss! |
Terapet...so glad you are enjoying that heart monitor! Keep up the great job on those workouts!
Diva...feeling better? So glad I could make ya laugh! LOL! Rennie...oh very well said RE: the challenge!! I saw on another team someone admitted that they just werent ready to commit and withdrew from the challenge. I thought that was very big of her to do. Its so true though, you see the ones that stop participating start struggling. I wish people could just realize the benefits of the support team. Laura...restraunts would be so tough for me as those have always been "treats" but you seem to do pretty darn good! I'm really impressed with how focused you stay on yourself. Its gotta be a lifestyle and yours is to travel so you make it work! Good job! Whew, you guys were chatty today I love it!! LOL!! Time to get dinner going! Enjoy the show everyone and dont forget that workout!! |
Melissa! I was screaming your name (NOT LIKE THAT!) during these commercial breaks!
these challenges are killing me! |
Yup Mel, my illness is all cleared up and besides a few sore muscles from working out, I feel fine physically. Emotionally is a whole diff story. Just under some stress here @ home with my teenager, and then after a few words in the black team, my car drove me to Wendy's and I ate something I shouldn't have, then tonight I partook in an alcoholic beverage. Now I feel guilty and will most likely kill myself in the GYM tomorrow. I totally see what Tina means by the food addiction thing. What a weird experience it was. I had JUST gone to Goodies and bought new running shoes, and then went back for work out clothes, was all set to come home, work out, eat a healthy lunch and that be that, next thing I know I am ordering a burger and large frie. How does this happen? OMG! Sooooooooooo tomorrow I will do day 2 of the c25k, 30 on the elliptical, and then the weight machines.
I miss y'all...sigh... |
Congrats Team! You rocked the week!
Hun - The fact that I could light a fire under anyone is endlessly amusing to me but thanks! :) Yeah I can't run without the heavy duty armor either. Ksk - When I started with the Jari DVD I didn't have a step either. You really don't need it to get started the use is limited and from what I remember I was able to do it all on the floor the only one I think you really need it for is Ripped 1000? I was supposed to run today but we had a lot of snow. Snow on top of old packed ice/snow and a long walk in bitter weather just didn't appeal to me today, so I did 78 minutes on the bike while watching biggest loser. Boy was my butt numb though. Gotta me me one of those Gel seats. |
Hi everyone,
I am sorry I havent posted in the last week but I have been sick and not on the computer much. I took a freebie week cause I havent gone to WI. Congrats to you all for winning the challenge this week. You all are doing awesome Kepp up the great work. Take care and I will stop by tomorrow. Sweet dreams! Cathy/Canada |
Melissa, you are MEAN! ;)
I just did chair pose for half a commercial break, and I might die. Thanks!! |

So sorry you haven't been feeling well. It really is going around. Please take care of yourself and don't try to do to much until you are really well. Counting I have started trying to do the boosted walking, just a bit. Doesn't take very long of that an my lungs give out lol. |
I didn't do so well last night during TBL... I walked on the treadmill for the first 15 minutes, but then ended up stuck working through the rest, so I didn't pay as much attention to the show as I usually like to do. Also, I didn't do any of the commercial break challenges :( To make up for it, I'm going to do them whenever I next watch an episode of something live with commercial breaks (as opposed to DVRed, which is how I usually watch when I'm home).

Good Morning all!! LOL...I promise you I'm not trying to kill you! I did 30 minutes on the elliptical while watching the show and really pushed it hard the last 60 seconds. WHEW! So then when it came to doing the commercial challenges I was spent. The plank was enough to kill me! LOL! Commercial breaks are LOOOONG!!!!
So I had such an awesome day yesterday with food and exercise! I hope I hope it leads to a loss come Saturday. Busy busy day for me today! Taylor has an orthodontist appointment this morning, Jordan has a dentist appointment this afternoon, I've got 2 exams tomorrow I need to study for, gym, eating right and tonight I've got a meeting for a PTA committee to plan a Native American Culture week we are going to do. Anyone planning on going out for dinner tomorrow night? We were but I think I changed my mind I may just make something special. Not sure what yet though. Have a great day Red team!! I'll be back when I can for personals! |
Diva...I'm sorry to hear that you had a day of it yesterday. Remember what they say if the problem isnt hunger dont solve it with food. Whats done is done, you cant go back to yesterday and change things so dont beat yourself up over it. Dont make exercise a punishment. I hope you have a fantastic workout today! Today will be MUCH better!!
