Cathy in Canada...I hope you are feeling better! I think those winter dulldrums are really going around. Perhaps we all need a little sunshine LOL! I myself love the snow!

Nicoya... good to see you!! I hope you find that apartment soon! I hate moving so I dont envy you! and I'm not gonna move again till its into my own house!

Rennie...tell hubby I support that decision to throw the scale out the window 100%! LOL! Our bodies just fluctuate so much from day to day and hour to hour for those things to be relied on too much. Measurements is where its at!

Hun.e.B 01-31-2008 06:13 PM

Okay, I know I missed alot of personals but either 3fc is acting funny or its my computer. But posting has been a chore! So if I did miss you I'm sorry!!

I was wondering if Red team wanted to do a challenge? I found this really cool site where we can as a team log ourselves moving across America, it shows you pictures of where your team is at. Kinda cool. So that'd be an exercise one even though we've got the too the moon thing.

Or I can come up with something else. Let me know!

Mom23BC 01-31-2008 06:59 PM

Hello! Just a short shout out to everyone. I hope everyone has a great day!

HuneB: Sounds great! Just let us know.

Shy Moment 01-31-2008 07:09 PM

One time someone here said to me, " You never ask for support yet you encourage everyone. " I said to her and will say again. You all have no idea how much support you give me. I count on you to help me through the hard times and to keep me accountable.

Hun
He is serious. He was not happy lol. I better keep my mouth shut or that scale will be gone and I will be doing a weigh in every two weeks at the docs office again lol. I really like keeping track of the bmi and measurements more than the scale. I like the idea of a challenge. I am always up for a challenge. lol I need accountability and while the 21 day challenge does help me and keep me pretty much in line. My challenges are very general. I have found the last couple of weeks I have been allowing myself to slip here and there. Nothing major and not keeping me from loosing weight but one has to wonder how many of those slips can you do before it does effect the weigh loss. Tomorrow is the first. Time to pull myself up by my boot straps and get back on the trail that is taking me right where I want to be. Kind of hard to explain. Eating is still ok, exercise is ok. More a few extra carbs here a few less min of exercise there kind of thing. I don't think I would even have the scale in the house if it weren't for this challenge lol.

Tina
That is the very reason I do not weigh myself a few days before the DOT is to start and not until a few days into the DOT has begun. I can gain a ton during that time. It can't possibly be weight gain. No one can gain 5lbs in a few days lol.

jasmine
35lbs is a lot of weight to loss. That is so terrific. When you think it isn't coming off fast enough just think about how much better you feel with it off.

Kari
We all go through it and we do understand. If it were chocolate and crap I wanted during my DOT I would be happy lol it is FOOD lots and lots of FOOD. I can keep the crap out of the house lol I can't keep the food out of the house. Then there are times I don't want to eat at all. I don't cook then. Hmmmm wonder if I can just say I am having my DOT everyday so I don't feel like cooking lol.

cecil
Times like this are when at home videos are great. You get your exercise, you get warmed up and you feel good about yourself. Also relieves stress. I don't even care if the kids are killing each other while I exercise lol.

Cassie
There are a few great meds out there that the doc can give you. They really do help. I found just eating a good diet and exercising has really reduced the amounts of migraines that I get. I do understand, get them so bad even breathing hurts my head. Maybe try some yoga when they are hitting you. Stretching and relaxing exercises really help me.

spidermonkey78 01-31-2008 07:48 PM

I am up for a challenge....anything to keep me motivated!

I hope you all had a good day....Mine has been stressful and I want a glass of red so bad, but I am trying to be strong and resist the urge.

skinnyvibes 01-31-2008 09:31 PM

I am so up for a challenge, I need something!!

Cassie501107 01-31-2008 09:54 PM

Good evening, team!

Danielle- Thanks so much for your kind words! I am always shocked when I hear MY name and "inspiration" in the same sentence ....but I thank you, and YES, it's wonderful to be back and feeling more in control.

Melissa & Rennie- Thank you both! I do think that I will see a doctor, because these migraines REALLY get in the way of life, especially with 2 young children to look after. My guess is that they are hormonal related, but my diet may have a bit to do with it because I do over-do the caffeine. Weird, though, how caffeine is in Excedrin Migraine, which does help me most of the time.:?:

Okay! So! I am going to take some pain reliever before bed tonight, in the hopes that when I wake up, the headache will have eased enough that I am able to get up and work out. I am SO determined to get--and stay ON PLAN. I am not really expecting a loss on Monday because of TOM, but hey, I'm going to try for it anyways, and for sure have one for the next Monday. I am NEEDING ONEderland!

Editing this to say..Melissa, I think the challenge sounds fantastic. Any extra PUSH in the right direction is wonderful. :)

:hug::hug::hug:

Catway8 01-31-2008 10:00 PM

Hi everyone,

I am feeling the same. My nose is burning so I am guessing a sinus infection coming on. I like the snow but going from -25 to +7 in 24 hours no wonder we get sick.

Can I ask you what the c25k is? I havent gone for weigh in yet this week. I might just wait till Monday we'll see how I feel. I hope your all having a good night. See you all tomorrow. Sweet dreams!

Hun.e.B 01-31-2008 11:29 PM

c25k stands for couch to 5K. Its a running program that eases you through 9 weeks of training at at the end you should be able to run 5K. Here's where I got the program.

Scenestealer 01-31-2008 11:40 PM

Roni, I hope you're okay! Maybe you should see a doctor? Don't want anything to happen to you!

Counting, I hope you're doing better diet wise at your conference than I am! Good luck with all the catered food... it's really killing me (see below).

Cassie, I'm so sorry about your migraines! I've luckily never had one, but my mom is recovering from breast cancer and is on meds that sometimes give them to her... it's awful! I'm so sorry you're going through that as well.

Melissa, the challenge sounds fantastic - definitely count me in!

Good: I went to work out the second I got up to my hotel room, and did 2.5 miles on the treadmill. At our networking event, I didn't touch a single appetizer even though the servers kept circulating the crowd and trying to get me to try something. Dinner was a pasta bar, and instead of meatballs or sausage, I opted for a ton of grilled veggies with a little bit of pasta. And I chose penne instead of cheese filled tortellini.

Bad: I picked ranch dressing with my salad, and vodka sauce with my pasta. I had a third glass of white wine even though I was plenty buzzed after two. And THEN, after dinner, I ate two more of the Doubletree cookies (see my blog about the first one), even though I knew exactly how bad for me they were. What's worse, I'm sitting in my room wanting to go downstairs and beg the front desk clerk for more.

However, I just checked Daily Plate, and I'm 500 calories over for the day. It could be a LOT worse. If I can be really healthy tomorrow, I'll call this trip an overall success. Unfortunately, that's a really big if... have a great Friday everyone!

It's -7 today! Brrrr! When will it warm up. I didn't excercise last night and I felt bad about it. But I was just so stressed out I couldn't so anything other then watch TV. When it's sooo cold I just want to cuddle up and not move. Ha! Anyway I am going to try and force my self to do it tonight. So wish me luck! And good luck to us all! We have a Weigh in coming up! Yeah!

Cecilia, you are making me glad I moved away from home! ;) Stay warm! I totally understand not wanting to go to the gym when it is so cold outside!

For those that don't know, Cecilia and I realized we graduated from the same high school, my senior year, she was a freshman, and she now works at the same place I used to work at until 4.5 years ago! This is definitely a small world. I know last challenge two of my former black teammates found out they were like 3rd cousins.

Andi18 02-01-2008 12:11 AM

Unfortunately not going to be able to do personals as it is nitey nite time for me. But I did want to come in and say hi! I did read everyone's posts and I hope those that are feeling ill are feeling better soon.

Migraines suck that's all there is to that! I was diagnosed with Chronic Migraines about 3 years ago, since I left the job that I worked at during that time I have maybe had 5 migraines (that's in 1.5 years!). I think mine were stress induced, plus hormonal induced during TOM, but mostly stress induced!

Melissa, I love the sound of that challenge! It sounds similar to the one we did last challenge ;)

Want to post my big news for the day.... I FINALLY joined a gym!! 24 Hour Fitness was running an awesome deal today! I had to sign up, I couldn't pass this deal down! I'm saving $10/month with this plan! Love it!!

Okay, no I'm going to bed! Night!

Shy Moment 02-01-2008 01:29 AM

Cassie
I remember the first time I saw the new Excedrin commercial. Was talking about how Tylenol was great for aches and pains and such but Excedrin was the only thing for a headache. I just laughed. Heck they should have paid me. I had been a walking talking commercial for them saying the very same thing for years. I have had them on and off my whole life. Both of my kids get them too.

CountingDown 02-01-2008 07:37 AM

Laura, I'm doing quite well. My little secret works well for me. I always request vegetarian meals when I register. They are usually amazing and much healthier. Dinner was on our own last night and we found a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant.

I also keep low-fat cheese sticks and protein bars in my bag for the "break" times. I just steer clear of the cookie and pastry trays that way :D

Glad to see so many reds doing well. We are gonna nail it this week - I can just feel it!

Well, gotta pay attention now - the speaker is staring at me

melissa73 02-01-2008 07:52 AM

It's February 1st. WOOHOO!!!!

FEBRUARY GOALS
1. continue being OP (on program w/ no cheats WW)
2. continue focusing on the 8 healthy guidelines- WW
3. work out at least 4 out of 7 days a week
4. continue the c25k program (I started this week)
5. fit into my size 16 clothes
6. Reach my 10% WW goal

I have a few obstacles this month. Super bowl sunday is the first one but I already have a plan of action and I just have to stick to it. My second obstacle is teh bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino with the buffet, I just have to make really smart choices and drink tons of water instead of alcohol. My third Obstacle is Valentines day because DBF is taking me out to dinner and then we are going to get massages. Soooo, I have to pick a good restaurant from DWLZ and plan my points and make sure I exercise alot those days or the day before and after to earn some aps....so when I use Wap's I won't feel guilty. I think for these two occassions I will have to use WAP's and NOT touch my ap's this week. Either way I won't use both of them.

I didnt get to work out at all yesterday or Wednesday. So today I am getting to the gym while DS is at basketball practice and i'm going to do 60 min of cardio 30 of them being 1 of the week 1 sessions of c25k. Then for strength I have to do legs, abs, back and biceps because I missed my leg day on Wednesday. UGH!!!

Cassie: Sorry to hear about the migraines. I suffer from serious migraines as well and there are many triggers for me: Stress, exhaustion, being hungry, and menstrual migraines are the worst. They are very debilitating...i've been to work late, left early and usually throw up every time I get a full blown one. If I feel one coming on I have to take an excedrin migraine very early to catch it and beat it before it gets full blown, if I get a full blown migraine I have to take a Zomig and lay down in the dark with an ice pack on my head to get rid of it. NOT FUN!!!! 'Caffine helps me to get rid of them sometimes...When I have a migraine I eat crackers adn drink pepsi. LOL

Melissa: I'm game for any kind of challenge. They help keep me on my toes.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Diva 02-01-2008 08:53 AM

Well it's just a raining and windy and mild temp's but it's supposed to get cooler...sigh....of course I have a lot to do. Shopping for food, paint, and some new furniture items. Need to pay the rent. We are going to start our remodeling & redecorating today and tomorrow. I'm soooo excited. Does anyone else get excited about curtains? LOL!

I did go to the er yesterday but ending up leaving after about 2 hours or so. I figured if THEY didn't think it was important enuff to take me back right away, it must not be, so I left with instructions to take an aspirin and rest, so that's what i did. I slept a lot yesterday. My bf told me they usually don't take ya back right away unless you arrive in an ambulance or if you are in distress. I'm feeling better. No pain so far today besides the pain I've had for 2 weeks in my back, but I can live with it. It's not bad and it doesn't slow me down.

Anyway, I'll most likely be busy for the next few day's with all we are doing and then Super bowl on Sunday! Go Giants!!!! So I'll see you all in here bright and early Monday! I'll try and check in during breaks and whatnot. Little does dude know, but I am great at supervising HIM doing most of the work, hehe

Good Luck with y'all challenge. Mel gave me the idea to start one up with the Black team, so I did. :D We start on Monday!

Have a lovely day beautiful RED team!
HUGS!
Roni

Scenestealer 02-01-2008 09:07 AM

This morning, I got up at 5:30 so I would have time to hit the hotel gym for at least 45 minutes before packing up and checking out. Now, I'm sitting at breakfast in the conference, and I am SO proud of myself! I grabbed a bowl of fruit salad, skipped the bagels/pastries/donuts, and whipped out a packet of Kashi oatmeal I always carry with me when I travel and put in some hot water from the tea service. Hopefully I can keep up with this healthiness for the rest of the day, though the only thing left in my bag of tricks is an apple. 12 hours till I am back to NY and back to my comfort zone of healthy home cooked food!

Hun.e.B 02-01-2008 11:02 AM

Laura...I think its really fantastic how you hold yourself accountable for the little slips here and there. I'd say you still did pretty great considering the circumstances and you got in that workout! Just keep learning from the slips and you'll do great!!

Hun.e.B 02-01-2008 11:08 AM

Andi...that is crazy about you and Cecil! Talk about a small world huh! The exercise challenge I mentioned is very similar to one we did last year but there is this site that keeps track of all of it for you. Very cool! All you gotta do is input your miles. Way to go on joining the gym!!!!

Melissa73 that is a great idea...I think we all need to post up our February goals!! Have fun with that c25k!!!

Roni...I hope the challenge brings you guys together and fighting strong!! I'm going for the Giants too...I hate the patriots! LOL! I would LOVE to redecorate but I'm saving it all for when we get our house! Which better be soon! LOL!

Laura...way to go this morning!!!

Hun.e.B 02-01-2008 11:11 AM

Alrighty, so I did really well with points yesterday but my choices were pretty high sodium, eating dinner last night I could tell how salty my chicken was. So today I'm doing a flush..literally! LOL! Water water water!! I gotta meet that scale tomorrow!

I also figured out that I was doing Week 2 of the C25K wrong...I was killing myself needlessly! So todays run should be piece of cake! And that will make 5 days straight of exercise because I was on the elliptical last night for 30 minutes while I watched Lost! Yay!!

So, who has some healthy Superbowl snack ideas?? I think we need to share! I have no idea what we are doing yet, but I'm sure it'll involve eat and drink. Thank goodness for flex points! LOL!

I'm going to come up with a challenge and we'll start on Monday! I'm pretty sure I know what we are gonna do just need to hammer the details down. So look for that and it begins on Monday!

Have a fantastic day Red team!! Dont forget to post up those weigh ins before Monday deadline!!

Hun.e.B 02-01-2008 11:13 AM

Totally forgot my February goals:

Continue with the C25K and doing the elliptical on alternating nights.
Meet my points target each day of the month (gonna be rough with superbowl)
work on being more organized!!

Sugar-N-Spice 02-01-2008 12:10 PM

Good morning ladies!

Laura, you are doing great by making up for your slip ups, IMO that's the name of the game. Go you!!! Have a safe trip home!

Cassie, yes, you ladies with all this great weight loss already truly inspires me! I want that too! I am praying that today finds you feeling like yourself so you can tackle what lays ahead. You're almost to Onederland!

Cat in Canada, oh no, you can't be getting sick! Lay low for awhile and try and get lots of rest! Hang in there!

Andi, yay a gym membership!! Was it really spendy?? When I went to TBL thing last weekend there was a lady in front of me who had a membership (she's also lost 75 lbs!!) and she was talking like $600bucks for 3 years or something? I though, EEK! lol She also was wearing the monitor that the contestants wear on the show, that, she said was like $300. :dizzy: I may just bite the bullet and drag my large behind down to the one we have here and see what they want to charge me.

CountingDown, oooo busted! :p Be a good girl now, and settle down and do your work! Ha!

Rennie, I love your dh's philosophy on the scale! You're lucky, many men don't "get it"!

Melissa73, I have no doubt that you will meet those February goals! Ugh, I'm with you on the super bowl thing, gonna be tough. But we can do it!!!

Roni, while I'm glad that nothing was really wrong with you, it's a big bummer about the ER's these days. Take care of yourself and listen to your body, if you feel 'off' then you march your tushie in there and demand to be seen! Have fun with the redecorating! I want to do it too, but like Mel, waiting for our house! Good, you got the man trained right! :D

Melissa, yay on another super fantastic day!!!! Sodium is really a pain in the butt isnt it? You're on the right track tho, chug chug chug! Glad that the c25k thing is going so well for you, I could not be prouder of you! And yeah, I agree, it is weird seeing me w/ famous people, huh? LOL Love the picture though!

Everybody, have a great day! Make it your best and keep reaching for those goals!!!

Utahgirl1982 02-01-2008 12:47 PM

Sorry I have been MIA......my brother and his g/f have been staying with us and i have not been able to sit down long enough to write anything :dizzy: It has been way crazy here lately....been running everyone places since I am the only one with a car at the moment. Everything has been going pretty okay except yesterday was a bad eating day for me but I am back on the wagon today! My mom said that she has a bunch of WW stuff in storage and if I cant find it then I am just going to go to a meeting and get more in person support as well as online:hug: Well hope everyone has a great OP day and kick some butts!!!!!

melissa73 02-01-2008 12:52 PM

Melissa: I'm only on day 2 tonight, for C25k. I like this pace and can't wait to get to week 2. I"m really excited about training to run. Something i've never done before and always WANTED to be able to do.

I am so excited, one of my fellow teachers stopped me in the hallway and told me that I looked like I lost weight. She could tell because my boobs were smaller. YEEHAW!!! I was sooo excited. That's the one thing I want more than anything is smaller boobs (and a smaller stomache) so for someone to notice made my day!!! :carrot:

Roni: Curtains can be a little exciting to me too! LMAO. I'm glad you're feeling better!

Laura: Great job avoiding all those carbs at your meeting. I"m sure you can't wait to get home and feel in control with your food again. Love the bag of tricks. I always grab a WW pack, 100 cal pack or somethign light when I"m going to DS's game or something...Just so I won't be tempted to go to the snack bar!

GO PATRIOTS!!!!
Okay, so here is a great recipe (or two actually) that I am bringing with me to the super bowl party at DBF's sisters house.

WW empenada's (yummy) and only 2pts for 3 of them

30 wonton wrappers
1 lb ground beef
chili powder
diced onion
salt and pepper
1 egg white

Brown the ground turkey, onion, chili powder and salt & pepper until cooked.

Spray a cooking sheet with pam and then line line up some wonton wrappers on the tray. brush the edges with egg white (so you can fold them and press them together and they will stick). spoon 1 tbls (or a little less) of the ground turkey into the middle of a wonton and fold over in half and press together. Continue to do this until you fill all the wontons. Bake in the over at 375 for about 10-15 minutes. Until slightly crispy.

These are a very good snacky food and I couldnt' get enough of them

I put my home made salsa on top of the empenadas and they added flavor and a kick (due to the jalapeno in my salsa)

Home made salsa recipe (make in a food processor for best results)

3 medium tomatoes quartered
1/2 onion
1 clove garlic
few sprigs of fresh cilantro
Juice from 1/2 a lime
1 tsp salt

Pulse to get your desired consistency. DELICIOUS!!! All veggies and 0 pts for WW.

These two are a defnite for me and I'll post more when I figure out what else i'm going to make. I saw a recipe somewhere for baked buffalo chicken wings....that might be something to keep me away from their usual fried chicken wings.

melissa73 02-01-2008 12:54 PM

Utah Girl: I started WW up again on 12/29/07 and and I have all the information. If there is anything I can help you with online, through pM or something let me know. I can help you figure out your points (there is a new quiz to take to determine them depending on how long ago you tried WW before and I can give you the healthy 8 guidelines, etc. Just let me know.

skinnyvibes 02-01-2008 12:57 PM

good morning ladies! Well my kids are finally at school today. Ridiculous that they cancelled school on Wed & Thurs. So both of my kids were grouchy this morning because they had to go. :) I got on the scale this morning, and it looks like I'll probably have another maintain this week. Which I guess isn't too bad since TOM has reared it's ugly head. I just have to keep focused. Which has been a struggle lately. I did have a NSV this last weekend (well DH and I both). DH and I went to buy a new pair of pants, because both of us only have one pair that really fit. Everything else is just way too big. I was able to fit into a size 14! I can't remember the last time I could wear a 14, I'm thinking high school. Dh was able to fit into a 34! He was as shocked as I was about my 14! He hasn't worn that size since high school either! Well better get my bootie moving.

melissa73 02-01-2008 01:00 PM

Kari: Awesome NSV!!! Doesn't it make you feel great? I can't wait until someone else notices that my boobs have gotten even smaller! LMAO :carrot:

Tina30 02-01-2008 01:30 PM

Good afternoon ladies~ Well I tell ya I've never been so happy for Friday to roll around. Today is my last day of babysitting. I love the little guy to death, but if I don't get some sleep soon, I think I may kill someone!LOL! I'm so glad we have nothing going on this weekend! My throat is kinda bugging me today, I pray I'm not getting sick. I need to clean my house so bad, it's not even funny. Kev has a half day today, so he should be home soon. He gets out early the last Friday of every month, and he always jokes that since the kids are in school we could have some "afternoon delight" well everytime something is going on. Today the kids schools are closed due to the snow and I have the baby. Poor man I don't know if his fantasy will ever come true!LMAO! We got quite a bit of snow here last night and this morning. It has stopped now, and the sun is shining. Not sure if I'll be up to exercising today. My back is really hurting me, so we'll see. Well I just wanted to pop in and say hello. Have a great weekend ladies~

Melissa73- Honestly why is it always the boobs that go first??? I started out with a DD and now I'm in a C...I wish my thighs and rear would shrink that fast!LOL! How cool though that people are starting to notice. That always feels nice, keep up the good work girl:)

Kari- Great job on the size 14 jeans. I know that felt great, it's always nice to go down sizes:) Are you and your husband both doing this together? That really helps when both are on board. Great job!

Melissa- 5 days in a row of exercise, girl you are a machine. You think I can borrow one of your days and add it to the 5 days of exercise I'm supposed to do this week?LOL! Looking forward to a red team challenge:)

Karen- Thank you so much for the kind words...sometimes it just helps knowing I'm not the only one struggling with my food.

Rennie- Your right getting on the scale during DOT is not the smartest thing to do...it is just a total mind trip.

Cassie501107 02-01-2008 01:32 PM

Happy Friday, everyone!

First off, I want to say a couple of things....first of all, February 5th is SUPER TUESDAY. If you're in a voting state, I urge you to get out there and CAST YOUR VOTE! It's so very important to do so, and if you don't know much about the candidates, take some time to look up who they are and what they stand for. This is our future we're talking about, let's have some say in it, huh?;)

Second! Any other Catholics here? Lent is right around the corner, so it's time to make a sacrifice...I'm having trouble thinking of what to give up....what are YOU going to go without for these 40 days?

Finally!

Thanks so much for all the advice and sympathy regarding migraines. For those of you who said you suffer with them as well, I know your pain, believe me, lol. I know I have triggers, and I need to find them, but yes, the ones when I am on my TOM are WORST. Ugh.

Okay, now to the weight loss. :D

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning, which is new to me...I usually do fitness DVD's, but I wanted something lighter today since I still have a bit of a cold. Eating is going well, so today has been a good one thus far.

Have a WONDERFUL FRIDAY, everyone!

:grouphug:

Tina30 02-01-2008 01:33 PM

Danielle, Laura, Andi, Counting down, Celica, Barbara, and Roni- Your girls have an awesome weekend, and to all of you watching the super bowl I hope your team wins...personally I don't even know who is playing. Sports are not my thing AT ALL!LOL!

Scenestealer 02-01-2008 01:45 PM

Melissa - I'm going to post lots of healthy Superbowl recipes on my blog tomorrow; will post the link here when I do.

Cassie - I'm a bad Catholic. When does Lent start again? I will give something up, gotta think about what...

I am doing REALLY well at my conference - lunch wasn't too bad, and I even had one tiny treat (but didn't eat a ton more after). Go me! Will post more later tonight.

Cassie501107 02-01-2008 01:47 PM

Laura, it starts on Ash Wednesday, which is next week...the day after FAT TUESDAY, which I hope to not celebrate. lol.

skinnyvibes 02-01-2008 01:50 PM

Ok so I just did 10 minutes of yoga. I know that's not much, but it's my first time doing it, and I really enjoyed it. My little man (1 1/2 yrs) was trying to do it too. It was so cute!
I also updated my ticker. I just talked with my Dr's office and since my son was born I have lost 88 lbs! I had my beginning weight as what it was when I started WW (when he was 4 months old, at 233) but I figured I would account for all my weight that I have lost! It's just so hard to believe I let myself get that heavy!

:carrot:

Ooh, we can be C25k sisters. I did day 1 yesterday! Also, my boobs are always first to go. Unlike you, it's my midsection that I'd rather see go first, so losing boobs, isn't my first choice in wl success! (But who am I kidding, I'm happy when ANYTHING is smaller!)

Yesterday I said I'd check in after the gym. Well, I got totally busy and never made it back to the computer. But I had a fantastic workout. Day 1 is done!

YAY Jaime....I have a C25k buddy. I'm doing my second day tonight. As well as another 30 minutes of cardio on either the bike, elliptical or both. I am also doing strength: abs, legs, biceps and back. Usually I concentrate on two muscle groups (and alittle abs every day) once a week..Monday Wednesay and Friday, but this Wednesday I didn't make it to the gym. :( I usually get a good workout 5 times a week and this week I only made 3 days. Better than nothing but it's been a week from HE**!!! I'm just so glad it's over tonight! Mostly issues at school. i teach a social emotional behavioral support classroom (5th graders) and my class was an absolute zoo all week....1 kid didn't have his meds for the first 3 days of the week, and then I had crisis with two other students 2 or 3 times this week. MOre than usual. UGH!! Hopefully next week is better!

I know that most of you are complaining that your boobs get smaller, but it is an absolute joy for me. These puppies are a 40DDD (probably a 38DDD now)! I have wanted NOTHING more than small boobs my entire life. So these huge things, I'd prefer to have them cut off truthfully. LMAO. So to have someone notice that they are smaller, I'll take that even BEFORE my waist at this point. hee hee hee I'm giddy about it!!! I must decrease my bust! LOL

Tina: I was NEVER a sports fan in my younger day, but when DS started playing sports, he got me hooked. I love to watch him play (soccer 1st, then basketball and then baseball). He's trying out BMX racing this summer and he went snowboarding for his first time last weekend and he's hooked. God I need to be two people and rich to keep up with my one child. I became a DIE HARD RED SOX fan over the past 3 years and DBF is a huge football fan, so I started to get hooked on the Patriots this year, although I always routed for my New England Team, it's more interesting now that i know what's going on! And Brady is a HOTTIE!!!! So that helps!

Well I only have 1 1/2 hours left of school/work and then I have to take DS to get his hair cut. Then I'll be going to the gym. YIPEE!!! I really love going to the gym, but with DS home alone sometimes I just can't go...I hate leaving him alone at night! So I stay home and let my mom work out and other times she watches DS so I can work out! Wish we could just go together...but unfortunatley, only when he has basketball or local soccer practice can we do that. Which is tonight!!!

Sorry, this got a little winded...its been nice to be able to chat with you guys finally!

She probably got the one where you pay for a couple of years up front and then just have to pay the renewal fee after those years have passed. I am going to pay month to month which for the Sport Club level is $39/month, but I will be paying $29/month! Plus I only had a $29 enrollment fee. Had to pay enrollment fee and first/last month so I walked out of there paying $89 after taxes and every month starting later this month $29 will come out of my account. I was looking at paying up to $50 for a single parent membership at the Y so I was beyond excited with only having to pay $29. Granted I don't get the discounts on kids sports at the Y, but I think we are done with going through the Y for sports now anyway. My hubby won't use the gym with me so there is no need to add him to a package. Woo-Hoo besides that, he can exercise at the University for free! My friend has the Body Bugg, her trainer makes her wear it all of the time. Jillian doesn't promote it on her show, saying it gives a false sense of security as it isn't always accurate. I'm not paying $300 for it. Not gonna happen! lol

I have had a difficult week for weight loss. It was a stressful week due to TOM, band camp details (my husband and I are in charge of a camp for about 250 people this summer) and volunteer meetings messing up my gym schedule. I think maybe I was using food to soothe my anxiety that probably could have been curtailed by some time at the gym. Alright, so this week will be better. Still working on incorporating more vegetables into my diet. Had lots of peppers, onions and mushrooms in my spaghetti last night. It was great.

I am so glad it is Friday. I have to drive my daughter to lots of band stuff this weekend which should keep me out of trouble. Just got to watch out for Sunday evening (super bowl goodies).

Scenestealer-I have had those Doubletree cookies, I can understand those being a serious temptation!

Good Afternoon Red team!! I just finished Week 2 of the C25K! I still cant wrap my head around the fact that I can run for 90 seconds and not keel over dead from a heart attack! Next week I tackle 3 minutes of running...SCARY!

I went from class to run today, I figured out I gotta bring a piece of fruit or something to eat afterward, I got a little woozy. Very weak legged, thankfully I could sit and wait for the park n ride bus for awhile.

Barbara...whatever WW help you need just ask. We've got several WWer's on our team, myself included. Tomorrow at our meeting we are supposed to be getting some ideas for Superbowl snacks. I'll be sure to share and between that and Laura's blog we should all be able to come up with something yummy and OP!!

Jaime..I'm with you!! LOL! Actually I blogged about this on our MPMU site, but I carry all my weight in my midsection. My legs look skinny with a mound of fat on top..just like an icecream cone! LOL! Dont believe me check out my before pics again LOL! So how do you feel after Day 1? Was it hard?

Skinny....Holy cow!! 88lbs!!! That is incredible!! Way to go!! What an incredible inspiration you are to us all!!

Laura...cant wait to see your recipes!

Tina....GASP!! You dont like football?! LOL! I used to not like it either but Really got into it about 10 years ago, now I LOOOVE me some football! LOL! If only my broncos were in the SB!

Cassie...thanks for the reminder to everyone. This election is one of the most important ones our country has come upon. I've got my voting hat all ready! LOL! I'm not catholic, dh is but not practicing. Do you think it would be sacreligious to do a lent type challenge? Like we all commit to either doing something for 40 days or not doing something for 40 days. I wouldnt want to offend anyone.

Kari...Yay you are shrinking and people are taking notice!! What better affirmations can you ask for! Way to go!

Hun.e.B 02-01-2008 03:53 PM

Melissa73...thanks for the recipe! I think that is something I might actually enjoy and I'm thinking of how I can even make them to be more oriental flavored! Like a potsticker or eggroll!

Terapet...I'm sorry you are having a rough go of that emotional eating. Someone around here had a quote or maybe it was on the show that said something like...if the problem isnt hunger dont solve it with food? Such a hard cycle to break! I hope the stress lessens!
