That's FANSASTIC Nadalie!!!

I only lost 1.2 pounds this week. I'm amazed that the scale isn't showing more, but it is what it is. I think I overshot my 10% loss goal for this competition. I've lost 20 pounds and 12.5 inches (from the "regular" areas) in 2 months, so overall I'm happy with that. 12 in December and 8 in January - but under 5 in the 3 weeks of this competition. I feel like I'm not contributing so much, but I'm being honest when I say I'm doing what I should be doing. My body is for sure looking better and I'm getting those "magical-20-pounds-gone" comments now.

Just wanted to pop in and tell everyone to keep up the great work! How great is this challenge for keeping us focused on our goals? I'm also doing an Amazing Race Challenge with my sisters gym and it really is keeping me on task.

I have been very bad about participating in the chat - have been swamped with work but hopefully I'm through the worst of it and can now be a true blue team member with a bit more frequency.

Just wanted to say hi and check in. Weigh day is tomorrow - am keeping my fingers crossed!

Good morning everyone,
I have sent Chellez a pm to say I am quitting the team. I am really struggling with my binge eating and I feel right now the only person I need to be accountable to is myself. This is so odd for me because I'm not a quitter but it is what I need to do. I will see everyone on the show thread because I will continue to watch the show because I love it. Thank you for all of the support.

I received your pm and responded this morning shay.

Before I jump head first into painting again this morning, just wanted to report I'm down to 195.5 lbs....

Dont you just hate that... you weigh in then lose another 1/2 lb...

Default Non-scale victory

I just wanted to write a note about what I think is a big non-scale victory for me. My biggest problem in weight loss has been emotional eating. If I get really upset or angry, my first thought was to run to the pantry and grab whatever might be in there and eat until I physically can't eat anymore. It could be cereal or wheat bread or yogurt. It didn't matter. This type of struggle is what's kept me from being able to get to my goal weight.

On Friday, I had a horrible day. Things at work are terrible. We're severely understaffed and I'm literally doing the jobs of three people (two people have left within the last six months, and, instead of hiring someone new, they've decided to just give me their responsibilities). Then afterwards I had a nasty run-in with a friend. He has issues with depression and isn't reliable about taking his medicine. He yelled at me for no reason, and, even though I know that his depression (and the fact that he had been drinking) was to blame, it really hurt my feelings. To top it all of, I was PMSing big time!

Anyways, the moral of the story is that, instead of sitting around the house yesterday and binge eating and feeling sorry for myself, I took a long walk with my dog and kept my calories in check. I kept *thinking* about eating, but I didn't do it. And part of why I didn't do it was because of this challenge. So, I just wanted to say "thanks" to Chelle and everybody else here for the help!

Chelle--I got it thanks. And I am taking you up on your invitation.

Zinkemomx2--Thanks, I will. I have been really struggling since November. I thought joining the challenge would be helpful and of course different things work for different people but right now....I think I need a different type of support.

Shay - We'll miss you, but I understand. Binge eating is one of my demons as well. You have to tackle it however you see best for you. I'm with you on the scale thing. I would not be weighing myself once a week if it were not for this challenge. See you around here...I'll be stalking you to see how you're doing!

Erin - Great victory! Don't you hate being the dump person at work. I've been there before too. It's like you get rewarded for being a good, capable and hard-working employee by getting more jobs dumped on you.

SHay, you take care. I think we all realize that sometimes, all this focus on food and eating & reading other people's posts about eating/bingeing, can be a real problem for some of us. I will admit that when some people post about doing an off-plan thing that it does put evil thoughts in my mind as well as how good that item would taste! Some other forums have had to be more specific about not posting about binges for this very reason. You take it easy and be gentle on yourself.

Chelle - hey that halfer will help you next week!!

SCGirl - VERY good job on redirecting yourself. What you did on that bad stressful day was really proof of the lifestyle change you have made. BRAVO!

Note to the shoppers: Wal-Mart (at least up here) is going thru their seasonal clearance. They've put all their fleece, workout wear pants & tops on clearance for as cheap as $6/7. You might want to swing by and see what you can find. At least where I am, it will be cold/chilly for 2-3 more months, so I can wear this stuff NOW! I was very excited.

I also want to say "thanks" to Chelle and all of the posters from this challenge. I said goodbye to my best friend and her family...the ones who live right across the street. They left this morning for their move to Florida. I feel heart broken today and can't quit crying, but I haven't turned to food. Thanks, Blue team.

Shay, I'm going to miss you.

Thanks Momto, Sportmom, and Rhonda--I will be around. I'm hanging a lot in Chicks in Control and the Intuitive Eating thread under general diet plans. Rhonda you are always posting comments in my blog so I need to start visiting yours and posting comments there as well.
