Whoa! 20,000 is a lot, isn't it? That's an ASTRONOMICAL amount of stairs! Too funny about the badge, but I totally get that, LOL!

Default Day one! :)

B: 2 slices bacon
2 boiled eggs
Coffee black

S: jack pepper cheese

L: shredded red cabbage, ground beef, mushrooms, green pepper stir fried in Wok - served over raw cabbage/lettuce

S: 2 small tangerines. (Crazy high in carbs!!! ). Still learning...
Slice bacon
Coffee black

D: chicken breast and chicken leg
Green beans

22.6 carbs
1068.8 calories

I used to always drink my coffee black and then started adding flavored creamers and artificial sweeteners like my DH does. Not worth the 5 carbs!
Back to black .
7,500. Steps. (Garmin)
P.S. No pie today . Taking it one day at a time!

That looks like a good day food wise... When I added fruit back I started with fresh berries, relatively lower carb, and I weighed them so I could be sure exactly how many carbs I was eating... Sometimes I would have 2oz of strawberries with just 1tsp of plain unsweetened heavy whipping cream on them after dinner and it was like having "dessert".... well, sort off... Lol...

Atkins '72 allowed for up to 4tsp of heavy cream a day... So I would use 1tsp in each cup of coffee I had and then have 1 or 2 tsp's to use in scrambled eggs or something I was making for dinner... or over my berries for my little "treat"...

I usually eat strawberries and blueberries - my DH bought Tangerines and I didn't realize they r high in carbs. Stupid ? But what brand whipping cream? I've never bought it before. That would def b a great dessert and good in coffee.
Headed to grocery store today. Will have to throw out my FF plain greek yogurt too. - it's 10 carbs.
What are your top foods for success and that keep you guys on track?

That's a great question, bigdog! I'm anxious to hear other's answers as well. I think the thing I'm most excited about is cheese "chips" and taco "shells," lol! I love cheese and thankfully it doesn't stall me. I crave crunchy! I take a piece of parchment paper and lay two slices of cheese on it, then nuke it for a minute or maybe a little bit more. When it cools you've got this crunchy, yummy snack. If you want to use it as a taco shell, fold the cheese in half (holding the parchment paper) until it cools in the shape of a taco shell. I've also used it as "bread" for a sandwich and "chips" for guac.

Crustless pizza is another one of my favs. I just put a bit of tomato sauce and whatever toppings strike my fancy into a flat-ish soup bowl and nuke for 30 seconds or so.

I've seen oopsie (or cloud) bread mentioned but have yet to try it. If that one tastes good I think the only thing missing in my life would be tortillas!

If you're allowed strawberries you can take a serving of frozen strawberries, a tablespoon or so of water and whirl them in the food processor for sorbet. A bit of stevia helps if the berries are too tart. (You can do the same thing with a whole, peeled orange, but the carbs are high.) Hmm... you could add in some cream to make it more like ice cream! I haven't done that yet.

Chia seed pudding is pretty good. It's 3/4 c unsweetened almond milk, 2T chia seeds and vanilla or almond extract. Combine and stir every ten minutes until set. (I've stirred it a couple of times and left it in the fridge overnight, too.) If you want to make a meal out of it you can add 2T of almond butter and 1 T shredded, unsweetened coconut. If you add the almond butter and coconut it ends up around 375 calories, 15g protein, 18g carbs and 15g fiber, so only 3 net carbs. It's amazingly filling and the chia seeds help move things along in your digestive system.

I try, at the beginning of the week, to make things that are easy to grab thru the week if I'm having trouble figuring out what to eat. I'll either do roasted chicken breasts, a turkey breast or a roast cooked in the crockpot with a jar of pepperoncini peppers poured over the top. I also love coleslaw, so I'll take a bag of ready shredded cabbage and make a sauce of 1c mayo, 1/4 c white vinegar, salt and pepper. It helps me get my crunch in, lol! I've been buying the steam-in-bag veggies to make prep more easy at dinner times, too.

Something I'm doing this time that seems to help is to plan dinner with family a bit differently. In the past I've almost done two different meals. This time I plan a main dish that we can all eat, a veggie that we can all eat, and then, if something else is needed I'll throw in something else that they'll eat. Last night we had hamburgers (mine was bunless), fries (which they ate) and broccoli and leftover coleslaw. I've been putting more of an emphasis on veggies which is good for all of us. Tonight is eggplant parmesan (w/o breadcrumbs), meatballs, fettuccine and salad. I'll skip the fettuccine.

Anyway. Didn't mean to turn this into a book!

I do know that misson makes low carb tortilla shells which are great for rolling up meat, cheese or whatever, and also flat out bread lite is awesome and is low carb high fiber, I roll up fried eggs and bacon for like a burrito
1/2 a wrap is only 3.5 net carbs and they are huge so 1/2 is all I need, what kind of cheese do you use to make the cheese chips

Oooh... um, ya, I'm gonna have to try that! I'm kinda drooling, lol. Breakfast burrito with the tortilla and pizza with the flat-out! YUM!

I like pepperjack slices the best right now. You can use shredded cheese, too, but I haven't tried that yet.

I usually buy organic heavy whipping cream...so usually brands like Horizon, Stonyfield, or Organic Valley... or sometimes I'll get fresh cream from local dairy's every once in a while... BUT Atkins '72 only allows 4 tsp' total for the day, so that's basically only 1 tbsp + 1 tsp.... So not very much... And I pretty much avoid sweetners... But I find that plain heavy cream, even just a teaspoon of it is so rich and to me seems to almost have a natural "sweetness" to it... that on some berries it's like having "dessert"

And cheese definitely stalls me... So I had to stick to 1 to 2oz a day tops... My favorite was Cabot Alpine Chedder... 1oz of that really hit the spot for me when I wanted a little "snack".... And then that left me another oz. of some other sort of cheese, usually shaved Parmesan to split between my salads for the day...

Default Day 2

Love all the food ideas and Let's just say - whipping cream is my new best friend!
Ran by the grocery store before lunch and grabbed some more eggs, bacon and picked up whipping cream , romaine lettuce, cukes, broccoli, Brussel sprouts (incredible baked w olive oil), mushrooms, green peppers. Checked out the Atkins Frozen dinners (will wait on those) and bought the Atkins Choc covered almonds - 1.5 carbs per serving (love that they are individually wrapped per serving), Atkins Dark Chocolate shakes (to replace a meal if needed).
We had a meeting this pm and the boss bought in cookies and soda. I had some diet coke and for some reason- I said that I just started a low carb diet! I hate to tell people I'm dieting becuz they start watching me. Lol!!

I had the cream w my coffee when I got home and it's like dessert. Yum!! So much rich flavor in 1 tsp- didn't need sweetener. Save save save all of your suggestions!! I do lettuce wraps a lot and the crunchy cheese idea, etc is awesome. I always have frozen berries on hand (when I get out of induction)

So today I had
B: 2 boiled eggs, 2 slices bacon
S: Atkins choc covered almonds (thks Skelley!)
L: chicken breast (on the run- appts all day)
S: Atkins Indulge peanut butter bar and pepper jack cheese)
D: will be my ground beef concoction ( beef, mushrooms, green pepper, green cabbage "woked") served on a huge mound of lettuce ( catching up on veggies).
Coffee w whipping cream
Is worchestire ok to use?
Water water and more water!!!

15.8 net carbs. 1301 calories
I can't believe ALL this food and only 15.8 carbs!!
I wasn't going to get the Atkins products but it said good for all phases -
I'm continuing to read my info. I do need to print out induction plan. Now I'm not sure if I can have the Atkin snacks on that....
Sorry for the book!!!
I'm reading "the New Atkins Made Easy" by Colette Heimowitz 2013 (got from library). Success stories, dining out tips. Etc. and the Atkins carb Counter app rocks! I looked up Burger King net carbs on that- YIKES! But if you get the whopper and throw away the bun- skip the ketchup - all good! The book even suggested asking for extra lettuce so you could wrap the meat in it

Haven't weighed yet but hope this plan works!

Bigdog it sounds like you're all set... I'm glad you like the HWC... I use a tsp in my coffee without sweetners too and it's pretty amazing that little bit does the trick for me now... And it's only like 17 calories I think.... So compared to how I used to drink my coffee with milk and sugar I'm actually saving calories now... Not to mention all those carbs... Enjoy!

Today was kind of off. I had an Atkins crustless chicken pot pie, cheese "chips" and guac. My stomach was kind of wonky so for dinner I just had a little bit of chia pudding. 976 calories, 36g carbs, 24g fiber was the total on my diet tracker, but it's less than that because I only ate a bit of the pudding. I only got about 75oz of water in today, too. I had a .2 loss, lol, so that's good.

Edited to add: I did good tonight. It was dh's bday and we had red velvet cake and three types of ice cream! (His aunt hosted, lol) I was able to resist and, except for one quick moment, I really didn't want any. That's *definitely* a first!
