Bigdog Atkins '72 is the original "diet"... that was the year the original book was published... It basically starts off at what is essentially "zero" carbs... Just 2 small salads a day to get you into ketosis very quickly and then each week you can add 5 to 8g of carbs a day... It's flexible, you can decide what you add back... You just have to keep it to no more than the 5 to 8g of carbs... It just counts carbs... So it's very simple... It does limit heavy cream to 4 tsp's a day and cheese to 4oz a day as well... And this is the key to all the Atkins plans eat just enough to be satisfied... the fat and the protein should hopefully prevent you from overdoing it...

My meals today consist of peanuts, chicken strips and fries. Back to the drawing board tomorrow! I'm going to look at menus online of some restaurants we frequent so I can make some better choices later on down the road. It sucks, too because I was down again this morning.
