12/31: 239.3 (.2 gain from yesterday, frustrating!)
My conclusion is that as time passes, exercise is not a choice but a must. I haven't exercised in 3 days, I think, and it can't be good. I also have to be nice to myself and - while pushing myself to stay motivated - not allow myself to feel down and give up. One day at a time!
Today's plan
Food planned: chicken, sausage, cucumber, salads, sautéed mushrooms, coffee, tea, water. I am not good about the times of day: I might eat a salad for breakfast, sometimes and that is OK.
Finish cleaning the house, have it all nice and how I like it. Get something finished for work.
Start the New Year with a clean house, prepped foods, a positive attitude, determination and gratitude for all the blessings in my life.

I am sorry you missed the appt due to bad weather. You have a great attitude and I am sure you will walk comfortably before spring.
I also struggle with water intake. I saw a pin on pinterest recently, where people labeled two water bottles. I have a huge water bottle I bought off amazon but cannot drink properly while at work.
Here is the pic I found and thought was a good idea!

Things happen. I am so impressed that while sick you still had the strength to perform successfully at both jobs and stay positive. You know, enjoy those margaritas and count them as your total carb, if you want. They even make margarita mix low or no sugar, if I think about it like the Skinny Girl version of booze.

Congratulations on weighing less than last year. That is indeed a wonderful accomplishment.
I am also happy to have you Ladies as part of my support system. Thank you!
We are not really celebrating today, low key, at home, watching fireworks and the TV. Might not stay up later than midnight as I would rather wake up at a my normal time and start the day right.
TRADITIONS AND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
Here are some fun and silly traditions that I have witnessed and heard from my grandma and family growing up.
Start the year right: don't over sleep, get out of the house and do something fun so that the whole year you get to do that, wear something new at midnight and have money on you so that you get new things and have money throughout the year.
Do things you would like to do all year: exercise, eat right, be nice to yourself and others.
Eat 12 grapes and make a wish for each of the 12 seconds before midnight. Hard to do and wouldn't because grapes are high in carbs.
Always make a wish and thank God for all the good people, experiences, things in your life that you had the entire year before the year ends (do it at midnight)
Now, I know these are just traditions, but they make me smile and remind of good times and dear people. I tend to follow them though (no grapes this year). Funny, I know!
Do you have any traditions related to the New Year and New Year's Day?
Good luck and have a wonderful day, Ladies!!
