Bigdog, are you loving this Atkins? Sounds like you are getting on plan!
I'll have to try the whipping cream also, that will save the carbs from my splenda that is use. I use worchestershire on my steak, chicken, pork and don't seem to have any problems it's 1 carb

Welcome, Dee!

I've been going off of what I remember from whichever book my mom has, but I downloaded Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution today. I think as long as you have one of the books written *by him* prior to his death in 2002 you should be good to go.

How long does carb flu last? I'm struggling with it more in the past two days than I did when I started (ten days ago). Bleh!

Today has been good. I did pork roast and mojack for breakfast, a salad for lunch with turkey/ham/cheese and ranch. Dinner will be one brat with kraut and mustard and broccoli on the side. I'm a bit low on veggies, but may have to play catch up tomorrow.

I'm getting about 100oz of water a day, so now I'm off to drink some broth and see if that helps. Thanks again!

If you do a google search on "keto" flu you should find some good info... It can take a few weeks to become fully "keto" adapted... I had symptoms for almost 3 weeks... But most of the time I felt pretty good...

Too funny- I was wondering what HWC was . Love it!!! Can't wait to try it in scrambled eggs to WOW my chef DH

Bigdog, you make me wish I liked coffee!!!

Skelly, I kind of cringe at the calories and fat sometimes, too!

Trips, that sounds like what I'm going through, too, so that's good to know!

Honestly, I've had a few cheats which are probably responsible for the extended "flu" type feelings I'm having. I've almost come to the conclusion that the momentary feeling of the sweet/crunch/carb/poison on my tongue is just NOT worth it!!! I'd rather experience the long term satisfaction of control over what I feed my body and the health that is a result! (almost... it's amazing how strong a hold the carbs can have over a person!!!)
