Hi, Maryea, congrats on losing weight. Even if recycled, a loss is a loss! Kudos!

My weigh-in day is Sunday too and I also had a maintain ... lol, guess I said that, rambling a little.

Ended eating day early at 1450. If I need a snack will have one but not hungry. Exercise was an hour's walk in the a.m. and 20 min this evening, plus a lot of running around plus pulling weeds, etc.

Todays cals-1760, Exercise 60 min strength training at the Y.

maryea-good for you for maintaining during the family visit. Controlling the blood sugar is a very good goal.

Am2-You are doing great. I appreciate the good example.

Marie-My dog has been limping for years due to arthritis. She is a happy girl none the less-although not good for long walks anymore.

okay I am gearing up for the Jewish high holidays. I will devote my attention to repenting for my sins and not to eating all the super yummmy sweet dishes I'll be preparing for family and friends. I have to remind myself to relax and appreciate the boundless love.

Hi all, sounds like everyone but me is on track. If there are two rails to the track, I'm only holding on to one. It is what it is and at the moment, I'm not wanting to lose weight for a medical reason. I just want to maintain. And lately, maintaining is at my previous losing cals. 'Tis a bummer.

Time to exercise and make my afternoon mocha.

lucinda-Wow, that is a lot of food. You will probably lose weight as a result of the calories burned from all the work involved in that much cooking.

Marie-Well one track is better than completely derailed. Good for you for posting today. Hang in there and think good thoughts. You will get back to weight loss soon enough.

Todays cals 2110, exercise-60 minutes step class at the Y. I would have skipped the Y and stayed home and chatted with my hubby over a glass of wine but he "pushed" me out the door thankfully. He is a good man to have around. Only one more day until FAC.

I have been cooking all day and eating healthy salads and protien is the dr. braggs amino acid liquid. I still have residual panic over eating tomatoes due to the Atkin's diet I went on 14 years ago. Yes, I lost weight on Atkins but it had long lasting mental health effects for me.

Lucinda, Adkins was torture for me. My DH lost weight on it but my food allergies and food dislikes made it miserable. No one could pay for me to do it again. Good luck with all that cooking. Being vegan, that cooking list must be difficult.

Tera, 10 points for your DH for getting you to the Y. If you have FAC tomorrow, enjoy yourself!

Today, I'll be below 1200 calories. Only a short 20 minute walk with the huskies. DH is out of town and Blizzie is finally bandage and cast free. She's gone on a walk 6 days straight. She's a much happier girl. The walks are slow for her but all that matters is her happiness. We probably only walked about 1 mile. Thursday is my non-exercise day - non-aerobic exercise day.

So the calories being low is interesting as I went to SBUX with my friend. A non-fat / light syrup no whip grande java chip is only 190 cals. So I had that, a mocha made with almond milk (30 cals per 8 oz), and after work a non-fat mocha. Three mochas in one day. And Mary thought she has too many??? But it is my protein for the day.

Hi, all, apologies in advance for a me-me postie but so tired, been putzing about all day, typing on the internet when I could be working productively, but that's okay, too.

I am ending eating day at 1535, exercise was a walk and gardening, pretty much.

On second day of returning to my ovo-lacto vegetarian roots, which isn't a problem to me as I did it 30 years or so before going carnivore some years ago. Think it'll help me.

Doing three hours of yoga classes a week now. Mondays and Fridays are restorative yoga with singing bowls being played and we do it all on the mat and it is lovely, and Wednesday went to my first ever hatha gong class, actually the first ever in my gym. It was heavenly. A huge professional gong is played (expertly, I thought) by the instructor who instructs a different kind of hatha class in synch with the gong and the poses are meant to be held long enough to feel vibration from the gong, which I didn't but it was beautiful anyway and I can't wait to do it again. I am massively out of practice and was very klutzy and have to modify my yoga due to past injuries, but it was just the nicest class.

Have to go to bed, guys.

Total cals-1955, Ex-long walk with my neighbor. I am trying to be good but I admit I had some wine tonight. Oh well, it was yummy.

Marie-I am so glad Blizzie is happy again. I figure we all have stuff to deal with as time goes by and we just make it work. I love my Belle just the way she is. Good job on the calories.

Lucinda-good idea to fill up on salads before the big feast.

Am2-we posted at the same time again! I enjoyed reading about your yoga experience. I have practiced some yoga at the Y in the past but not so much recently. I do think it is great exercise though. When did you decide to go vegetarian?

Happy Friday my challenge friends. I'm on track even though I ate 1200 cals yesterday and still managed to gain .4 pounds this morning. I really have a bad relationship with the scale. It is either love or it is hate. I finger saluted it and went on my way. The pack and I walked longer this morning and then I ellipticalled. Tonight I'm going to cut out stained glass for a panel I'm making for a charity auction. I figured I'd bring my stuff into the living room and have a Stephen Colbert Report marathon. I'm about 3 weeks behind.

Tera, thought about you this afternoon and wondering if you and your DH were on a date.

Am2, your yoga practice sounds sinfully interesting. Have fun with it.

Well, the pack needs dinner so off I go.

Todays cals-2185, no exercise.

Although the calories are high, this is actually pretty darn good. Hubby and I went out for dinner at Frankies (Italian) and I kept the wine to one glass, the garlic rolls to 1.5, a small serving of salad and only half the pasta and marinara with mushrooms.

Marie-You know the low calories will eventually equate into lost pounds. Patience Grasshopper. Keep up the good work.
