So far February has been a pretty crappy month for me. I have had weeks of binging on really salty foods that were also all highly processed. I had a night out drinking with friends. I also haven't been to the gym or exercised once. In the last week I have managed to get my self more on track but the gym still isn't happening right now because I am working too many hours at work to have the energy to go to the gym afterward.

With all that in mind I have seen 159lbs on the scale two days in a row. I think it is a bit early to call and perhaps it is just water weight or a little dehydration I am not sure but I am still pretty excited at the prospect. I am hoping this can jump start my efforts a bit and get me a little more focused on my goals.

Hi all!

I hope you don't mind me jumping here, this is a thread I've been looking forward to join for a long time!

At weigh in today I finally left the 180s behind, so here I am!

I started my journey last January, and did really well for around 4 months, then I moved from Asia to the UK, and life got in the way and I regained some of the weight I'd lost.

I restarted properly on Jan 8th 2012, and I'm determined to finish this journey this time!

I'm currently the lowest weight I can ever remember being, and am really looking forward to the journey between now, goal and beyond!

Congrats on breaking into the 170s @takingcontrol ! I had my weigh in today and lost another 2lbs this week, which means............169!! WOO! Delighted I've maintained the loss, hoping that it will be another 2lbs down next week!! One weird thing though, I weigh myself once a week at my local pharmacy where the machine tells you your weight, BMI, % body fat etc. The first week I had 33% body fat, then last week I dropped down to 28% (and lost 2lbs) and this week I'm back up at 30% eventhough I've lost another 2lb...? I just finished TOM so I don't know if that would affect it...but would that mean that I just lost 2lb water weight and not fat? Anybody got any words of wisdom?

Hey, everyone! It's been a while since I was on 3FC. I started out last August at 178.8, then slowly and painstakingly lost weight down to 174.4 before I got fed up in October with my slow progress. I'm sure I gained back what I'd lost, and probably more--the scale and I were not on speaking terms at that time.

Since then, I've had a number of significant lifestyle changes. I decided what I wanted to do, career-wise, earned a certificate from a paralegal program, applied for and was offered my dream job, quit my minimum-wage holdover, became financially independent and moved out of my parents' place into a cute apartment two days after Christmas. I'm getting enough sleep at night. I take a Spin class and lift heavy free weights at the YMCA three times a week. I eat well. And, for the first time in a long time, I'm counting calories and losing steady weight. I've lost five pounds since the beginning of February, when I started weighing myself again and weighed in at 174.0lbs.

I just hit 169.0lbs this morning, a one-pound loss for this week despite three hectic days of sick kitty and bad eating. I'm wearing jeans that haven't fit me comfortably in almost two years. I'm looking forward to more changes in the weeks to come.

Veela--here's hoping I DON'T see you here after your most recent post, lol. Good luck and get on outta here!

Way to go, Buckkeepblue! We're 169 buddies! Also, those machines are NOT a good measure of your body fat. If you're interested in tracking that, find a trainer who uses calipers or water displacement to measure BF%, or buy a pair of calipers for yourself. I got mine for about $8 on Amazon.

I'm going to go through later to read up--this has been an absolutely insane week with starting the new job and tests in school, etc., etc. Down another pound to 162

Hey ladies!

Back at 3FC again, after a long hiatus. SO sick of yo-yoing up and down. A change in all-or-nothing thinking and perfectionism, however, has got me thinking that over the next year I may actually finally get to goal! Calorie counting and exercising this time around. So far lost 6.7 pounds since the Feb 8 and feeling good about this (obvi some of that is water weight, but whatev...it all adds up in the end, right?!). So glad to be back and to be a part of this wonderfully supportive community. Let's do this ladies!!

wannabenurse way to kickstart your weight loss!! & welcome back~

I got down to 167 this week! but I was sad when I saw 168 on the scale this morning, but i'm assuming that it's from the bloating / water retention from my period. hoping that number will go down again afterwards!

My weight is up a few pounds so I changed my ticker. However my inches are down. It's prob water weight but seeing my ticker move up is super motivating to get it back down again!

Hey everyone. I wanted to join this thread.

I started my weight loss journey at 175 the beginning of this month. And as of a few days ago I weigh 167! Whoop whoop

I haven't been working out and I've had a little more junk food than I should have - note to self: do not buy Cheez-Its - but I'm still down 5 pounds. That puts me at 160, almost out of this thread and into the next! =D

I've had a whoosh the past two days and am now down 2lbs so 161.1lbs (I actually saw 160.9lbs but then the scale fluctuated up at the last second). So I'm almost out of the 160's! However, if it doesn't drop down soon I'll probably have to wait for about another month just from the way I lose.

I'm going to take a tentative step into this thread. Weighed into the 170s for 2 days now and hope it sticks. 179 exactly this morning! really happy to be back within reach of my previous low weight (172). Now just need to keep this losing up.
