Aggie and Beila: love love love the dresses. I was always a little tomboy as a kid but now I just want to be that girly girl. Not in a 'I love everything pink' way.. Just want to be more elegant and sophisticated I guess..

I weighed myself today after a few days seriously off plan. I expected to be up 3-4 pounds but was actually 200.8. That is down a bit from last week and close to my lowest of 200.2 on 7/4. I'm so happy!!

I'm now seriously back OP. I found a phase 1 SB diet buddy and am committed to doing a very clean 2 weeks. I need to get the junk out of my system so that I'm no longer driven crazy by cravings.

Belia - it would figure that I could manage to put my foot in my mouth on an internet forum. Sorry bout that.

Aggie - glad the scale is moving, it always feels so great to get over a hump. What a beautiful town, it's great that you've been able to enjoy the outdoors.

Do the robot - a trip with your boyfriend to New Zealand sounds great. That’s somewhere else I'd really like to go. Actually I just want to go EVERYWHERE. But I love adrenaline junkie type stuff and know there's a ton of those activities in NZ.

i think i was kidding myself when i set my target at the outset of this challenge. what i am hoping to take away from this if i dont lose over the 12 weeks, is at least i know i am capable of maintaining over a longer period of time

As long as we're sharing dresses, I just bought this dress for my BF's cousin's wedding at the end of this month. As you can see in my sig, it was my reward for getting to 155

I love how fun it is, and I can't wait to dance the night away (there's an open bar, so I WILL be dancing dancing dancing the night away). And I got a WAY lower size than I normally do! Or maybe I AM this size?? Who knows!

Love that everyone's posting pictures of dresses. They're so much fun to look at and super motivating.

Scarlett Awesome to read you are feeling strong and in control. It looks like you're well on your way to onderland. I'm rooting for you!

I've been doing okay this week. Curious to see what the weigh in will be like.

Thing is, I still want to do way better! I know I could do this once and for all and for months and months if I could just get into that mindset. I feel like I've never totally had that "straw that broke the camel's back" moment. I need to force myself to just pour myself into this effort, the sooner the better. Dilly dallying with this issue is so much more exhausting, but only in retrospect.

So, I just posted that "oh, I need to try harder, I know I can, I know I can" post, and then began reading my first ever diet book. I am so blown away and already feeling so much more relaxed after only the first page and a half. I wish I could just copy and paste it all on here somehow. It's called You On a Diet, and it's Dr. Oz? Who I'm not familiar with, but someone I respect lost a lot of weight and said she owed a lot to this book. To be clear: it's not a plan. So far it seems to have a lot to do with debunking diet myths and making things easier on yourself. The subtitle of the first chapter is "Work Smarter, Not Harder."

I am not at all the type of person who reads this kind of thing, but it's so logical and reassuring so far. I will report back if anyone's interested!

EDIT: Okay, so there is are guidelines/plan involved. All the better(?)

Fassgal - congrats, what a great week!!

Ish - thanks also I don't think you really need that "dramatic moment" to be motivated. Just look for motivation in the life you want to live. Also, YAY that you found a book that is helping you get going. I LOVE Dr. Oz. I'm sure that book is far from a pop-diet book.

And thanks again for the congrats. I haven't been under 200 since I was in college, probably sometime in late 2008!! It really feels like I'm getting my life back.

ish: you dont know dr oz???? shocking to me! hes been on oprah numerous time, and has his own show now....hes a super nice personable guy aswell...i read his book a while ago...
