I have a job interview tommorow at 11:15 and it's an hour away. I want to let you all know that I will be late on posting the chart.
I ate and drank all weekend and breifly saw the 200s again on Mon morning (beer bloating). That certainly got my butt in gear. I'm just glad to post a loss this week. Can't believe we only have one week left
What does everyone think of these dates for the next challenge? I really liked the Wed/Thursday weigh ins. It gave you a few days to straighten out a tough weekend. This challenge really helped me get right back on track after a bad day or bad weekend. Knowing I had to weigh in was really motivating.
Baseline Weigh In - 8/24 - 8/25
Week 1 Weigh In - 8/31 - 9/1
Week 2 Weigh In - 9/7 - 9/8
Week 3 Weigh In - 9/14 - 9/15
Week 4 Weigh In - 9/21 - 9/22
Week 5 Weigh In - 9/28 - 9/29
Week 6 Weigh In - 10/5 - 10/6
Week 7 Weigh In - 10/12 - 10/13
Week 8 Weigh In - 10/19 - 10/20
Week 9 Weigh In - 10/26 - 10/27
Week 10 Weigh In - 11/2 - 11/3
Week 11 Weigh In - 11/9 - 11/10
Week 12 Weigh In - 11/16 - 11/17
This makes the final weigh in the week before Thanksgiving. I initially wanted to start the first week of September, but realized that would make the final Wednesday/Thursday weigh in on the US Thanksgiving. This would give us two weeks off before we start up again.
Also we can keep this thread going during the "gap" and you can weigh in if you want to. I am attending a wedding on 8/20 and will want to stay on track.

Aaaargh ever since I came home I'm sooo bad.. I need to get it together.. It's the last week already;(
I would love to participate in the next challenge but 1st of October I'm moving away for college and I doubt I'll take a scale with me. Come to think about it. Maybe its better I take it to keep myself in check.. God knows student life can be very 'diet sabotaging'...;(
Okay, I'm just making small losses now, b/c of summer months enjoying outdoors and going out with friends, I've been eating more! Oh well...one more week. I'll try to get it down as low as possible! This has been a fun and good challenge for me. I really pushed through my plateau and I think this challenge had A LOT to do with it.
Scarlett--I agree w/ whatever dates you can. Honestly, since you are taking track of the weight losses, whatever works for you. I will continue to lose weight anyways, so hopefully I will be in the low 140's by the time we restart again!
I really thank you for all of you help! LOVE LOVE LOVE the charts and stars!
I hope I can make another honorable mention or deans list this last week!
Belia - thanks a bunch. My anxiety level is through the roof right now trying to prepare for tommorow. I REALLY want this job. I got no sleep last night and feel like crap right now trying to focus. Hopefully I sleep well tonight and calm down by tommorow.
I'm boucing around 148.5-150 myself. Let's stay focused and stay BELOW 150 and get back down to that weight even sooner than the end of the month. You can do it!
Yea! Loving the positivity!
Scarlett - Good Luck on the interview! And as for the next challenge, the dates you posted seem fine with me, any changes you make to it will be A-okay with me
Good luck with the interview!!! Hope all goes well for you! I get wound up when I have something big coming too. Or an appt., or any little thing where I have to be on time. I'm always early, but I just can't stand the thought of being late. -Anyways, we're all rooting for you.
Thank you so much guys. I just drove 2 hours each way on about 3 hours of sleep in the last 2 days (the main office is an hour farther away). Hopefully I'll be able to sleep now that it's over.
I believe it went really well. I decided ahead of time what I wanted to focus on and managed to hit most of the points I wanted to. I also thoroughly researched the company and managed to not stumble over my words. She said they had more interviews next week. The ad said they had 5-8 spots open. The vibe I got was she liked me and would like to hire me if she can. I'm probably out of luck if I'm competing against people with much better credentials. I'll find out at the end of next week (hopefully). At least it's done now.
I'm beat. I will at some point post the charts, I promise .
Sorry for the delay. I took a bunch of people out and did some work on the charts. All the missing people this week weighed in last week. All the multi-week missers are out. Thanks again for the support.
I'm really surprised I was kicked out. I know things have been slowing to a crawl around here, but still! I considered myself an active participant. I've never missed a weigh-in before and I wouldn't have if I could help it.
I just got back from Hong Kong last night. It turned out that the internet was even more restricted there than I thought it would be, as Hong Kong is independant from china in a lot of other ways, but it turns out I still could not log on to a lot of my usual sites, including forums like this one.
I don't know, it just doesn't feel very supportive, if I had actually been struggling, or fallen off the wagon or whatever, to just find yourself ousted. Especially without a word of wonder or notice. I guess maybe if this were a competition, but otherwise, being on this end of things, I don't really get this aspect of the challenge. This isn't just me wanting to get back in or whatever, either, the challenge is pretty much over anyway. Just some perspective for next time around.
Yeah, a couple of hours later and this still kind of gets to me. I guess the weekly weigh-ins became somewhat of a mental checkpoint for me in my daily decisions. Not a good feeling.
