Aggie, I'm super achy too. I ran yesterday and woke up today with my stomach so sore I could barely move. I planned to go to the supermarket today and get seriously back on track, but it didn't happen. Hopefully this will be gone tommorow and I'll be able to stock up on eggs and salad.

It makes me sad to see our thread slip onto the second page! Especially at the dawn of a new week. I suppose everyone's busy having a great summer.

I feel like a cheat finally winning stars! It was only because of a huge gain the week before. I didn't even think about how that would effect the stats.

A big high five to everyone who weighed in, gain or loss. We still have five weeks left of the challenge. I know that, personally, my original goal is unattainable in the next five weeks, so I've decided to make a new goal for myself in that time period. I'm now aiming to lose another eleven pounds by the end of the challenge. It keeps me motivated!

Aggie The country for the summer? That sounds lovely! I would love to go swimming right now... It's the rainy season here so it feels almost tropical. It's hard to drag yourself out of the air conditioned house. I'm missing a proper sunny summer!

Scarlett Hope you're feeling back to normal!

themilesawaygirl Glad to see you weighed in. Are you feeling more in control this week?

Hope eveyone's having a nice weekend!

Ish, I completely agree.

I think Khat summed up my feelings lately pretty well.

I lost some weight and I just enjoyed it too much (you know.. looking good and stuff). If I want to reach my goal I have to be more careful.

It's easy to be super energetic and into the challenge when it's new and fresh. Now that we're almost 2 months in and we've lost some people, the excitement is starting to wear off. Also it's HARD to stay OP for 12 weeks.

I'm now super committed to getting back on track. I planned out my menu for the next few days and wrote out my shopping list. I'm going to string a few good days together and get my momentum back. I'm also gonna try to post more and be more active in the challenge. I've been slacking off too, posting my charts later in the day than I should.

Lets all try to regain the initial excitement and finish strong. Pretend that it's week 1.

MORE ENERGY!!!

In the theme of re-energizing this thread (and myself) I'm going to post some pictures that motivate me. Hopefully some of you will post some as well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I LOVE gemstone jewelry. My dream engagement ring is a sapphire. I promised myself I would purchase this aquamarine eternity band, for my right pinky, once I reach my goal. The ring would be a reminder of how far I've come.

I REALLY want to wear this dress to a wedding on 8/20 (My Birthday). I'm still a few pounds away from the smallest size it comes in. The dress is Badgley Mischka and I want to rent it from RentTheRunway. I'm trying to imagine myself in this dress, feeling like a million dollars, on my birthday.

I want to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon next May. I'm in 2 mile shape, but I dream about doing a half marathon. The Brooklyn half goes through the Coney Island board walk, Prospect Park and the streets of Brooklyn. I'm planning on doing a 10K (6.2 miles) on Halloween, so I hope to be able to run most of a half by May.

Scarlett Yes! I love your "more energy!" photo and your photo inspirations. I'm going to do the same. I think we can do a lot in five weeks! I'm committing to daily exercise and daily posting too!

P.S. - The dress is gorgeous and I love the idea of a ring as a visual reminder of what you've accomplished! Also, I had no idea you could rent dresses. That's awesome! A half-marathon is doable! I have a friend who just ran one after training for a year. I have some fitness goals too, will post my photos as soon as I figure out how.

Big Reasons I Want to Lose Weight
Inspired by Scarlett

1. Europe. I've never been and I've been working hard this year paying off loans and saving for a big backpacking trip. I know that I will enjoy myself more if I am feeling confident and strong enough to tackle the challenge.

2. High waisted skirts, dresses, skinny jeans and clothes in general. I want to work on buying classic pieces of quality clothing and building a wardrobe. I love fashion but you wouldn't know it lately...

3. MORE ENERGY! I'm 24, a kindergarten teacher, in a great relationship, travelling the world and I shouldn't feel so lazy and unhealthy all. the. time.

Those are the big three for the moment. Looking forward to seeing others!

scarlett: i find it very hard to stick totally OP for 12 weeks as well. the challenge at times has been discouraging, not good! nonetheless im trying hard this week.

ish: my husbands family lives in norway, so we came here for the summer, its much cooler here than where we live, so its good for my little one. im still on maternity leave for the next year! so im trying to enjoy this time off and put it to use as much as i can!

i guess my biggest reason for wanting to lose this weight is my wedding. me and DH got married just a civil wedding over a year ago, but i still dream of a big wedding, with family and friends. we were thinking next summer, or the summer after that. depending where we stand financially. nonetheless, id like to be at goal by next summer, bc being so overwegith this summer, is very discouraging/depressing. i want to wear cute dresses and bikinis. ugh, just been feeling low this week!

Aggie Norway, I'm jealous. Maybe I'll have to visit your fit self this time next year! I'm sorry the challenge has gotten you down at times. It has for me, too. I guess it's just a let down to see what you know you could have done vs. what you have done. Maybe in future a monthly challenge might be best for our personality type. In the mean time, we have more than a month. Let's just do what we can, while enjoying ourselves in our new environments. Try not to let your weight get you down. These memories will last you, focus on what's really important! I know you'll make your goal by next year, regardless. No need to feel down on yourself this summer! Sending lots of love!

Scarlett

Awesome pics. I love the dress. The color is so pretty. A half marathon would be such a big accomplishment. I think it's great. I hope you feel better soon. It sucks being sore and achey! We have a virus circulating our house ATM, I can't wait til it's gone!!!! I haven't checked in on how my jogging went during my daughter's wk at vbs. It went so well that my husband's been keeping the kids so I could jog when he gets off work. I've gotten 9 jogs in, so I'm feeling psyched! It's actually helping me thru this stupid virus. Oh, and the ring is super cute!

Ish

That high waisted skirt with the dark pantyhose is sooo cute. That would be a good outfit for my body shape, if only I had the legs to pull it off! it's a work in progress!

I agree with everyone about getting the momentum back. Oh and Cat eyes, congrats on being the biggest loser!!! Yay!

I woke up today feeling kind of Blah and considered putting "getting back on track" off until tomorrow. Then I saw your replies and decided it must be today. The first few days, getting the junk out of your system, are always the hardest (especially when motivation is wanning). I'm going to do it!!

Ish - I REALLY want to go to Europe too and I'm 24 also (hopefully turning 25 soon in that yellow dress ). Unfortunately I'm in grad school part time and it will probably be awhile before I can afford to travel . I'm hoping to be able to do some smaller cheaper trips in the not too distant future. I also want to get at a size I'm happy to stay at so that I can build a wardrobe. I love clothes and hate buying stuff because I tell myself I'm going to lose weight. Let's do this!!

Aggie -Wow Norway sounds awesome. I'm sure you'll look like a princess on your wedding.

Sniperhill - The soreness is gone; hopefully soon my body will adjust to these longer distances. It’s a good sign that my lungs are now ahead of my body. Glad you've been jogging and hope you feel better soon.

ish and Scarlett, awesome pictures.

I love the idea of hiking, and I would love to plan an active vacation to somewhere in South or Central America (I can multi-task and use my Spanish ). I have to visit Sumidero Canyon in Chiapas, Mexico. And I would love to be able to hike there.

I love clothes and fashion too, even though most of the time I walk around here looking less than put together. I'm pear-shaped and maybe this dress would look better on an hourglass, but I would love to be able to rock it confidently.

My mother has also been killing me and the sister (Jumelle) to take family photos. However, I cannot do it, and it hurts a lot every time I have to tell her no when she brings it up. She's used to being able to take us for photos whenever she wanted (this house is lined with pictures of us up until puberty also known as 'Weight Gain Central'), but I hide when I see a camera. I won't even take candids. So, I would love to be able to grant her wish when I feel confident enough to do it.

Aggie, Norway sounds awesome. And I can completely understand your desire about the wedding. You'll be gorgeous, I'm sure.

Hi girls.
I love the idea of re-energizing but I'm sooo de-energized at the moment.. I was on a weekend long vacation at the sea and it was great yesterday but today my bloodpressure's been severly low (75/50) and I feel like I'm in a dream or betweeen-sleep-state of mind.. I fear it's because my cortisol level dropped some more but I can't really tell without taking blood tests and that takes weeks to get results back.. I guess I'll see what happens in the next few days..
Congrats on everyones success, I'm happy with my two stars (finally )
I'll post some inspirations tomorrow, I'm just to tired for it right now!
