brianalee~ a free day every 10 might not be so bad. i do free meals every so often. what do you mean by free day? like you go nuts the whole day? like you described? maybe you can do a free meal vs day every 10 days?
scarlett~ i feel you, this is my second month on the diet, and ive had a bunch of slip ups, theres a lot going on in the summer get togethers wise, and it hasnt been good. but youve made the right move in the right directions doing southbeach and running. i think when you start seeing those numbers drop youll be motivated again!
I liked sb phase 1. I couldn't stay OP with phase 2, though. Idk if it was the reintroduction of the fruit or what. Good job trying something different. and good luck!

I'm having the same problem right now. I want to eat EVERYTHING! I do have a more relaxed wkend plan than wkday plan. Not neccessarily (sp?) a cheat day anymore. I could have cheat days when I was bigger and still lose weight, but not anymore. I just watch my portions and allow myself an extra 500 cals a day on the wkends. It helps me by keeping my metabolism going and it keeps me from feeling deprived.
If you're craving choc milk, buy some Muscle Milk chocolate protein shake mix. I use it after every workout, whether it's cardio or strength, and it tastes like yummy choc milk. I look forward to it. It's my daily indulgence

Thanks alot . I'm think you hit the nail on the head. The early 200s has been my "hump number" these past 2 years. I'd manage to pull a few good weeks together but wouldn't go any lower than this. Therefore I think I'm a little extra frustrated that I've stayed here for the past 3 weeks. Once I get into the 100s I'll probably get re-energized. Oddly, the running has been keeping me motivated. Usually if I'm working out like a fiend and the scale isn't moving much, I get annoyed. But, I've made alot of progress with my training program this week and it's been a bit of a NSV. I'm just grateful I have this thread to keep me accountable in getting there.
sniperhill - I've been loosely following SB throughout the challenge, eating mostly SB friendly food with some cheats. I have PCOS therefore, staying away from simple carbs is really the best thing for me. In the past I've had alot of success with the program, I just go off it hard. I'm finally realizing that I have food issues and will never be able to "eat normally."
It sucks that you have PCOS. I've read about it a little and saw that losing weight helps with some of the complications associated with it. So, hooray for you! I hope it gets easier for you
Beila my weight is also going down very very very slowly. I can't wait to see 149 on my scale (or 67kg)! My body just won't let go of the fat. I keep pushing and pushing. Eating less, working out.. I added more protein, more strenght training.. I started intermittent fasting. I don't mind doing all this. But I would love for this muffin top to go away already.. Hugs from me!!

Sniperhill - I know losing weight will help with my PCOS. The symptoms got alot worse once I hit the 190s. Aerobic exercise is also supposed to help with regulating hormones, so hopefully my running is helping. I've certainly had less mood swings and more periods since we started this so its getting better. I just get insane simple carb cravings and can't handle consuming them.
I'm with you on being stuck between 150-155. I've been stuck around 155 for awhile now, and just began pushing the scale down. I didn't mind as much bc it's my lowest weight in years. I can see how it could be frustrating for you since it's your highest weight. You'll be in the 140s before you know it!
Oh nooo I went away and I can't remember if I told anyone. I think I meant to weigh in on Wednesday last week but was so busy frantically packing that I forgot :-(
I think this means I'm out, sorry everybody! I'll still hang around and try and catch up with everyone. July is so busy for me, I'm really excited but I have no idea what it'll do for my weight loss. If I'm still hanging on by a thread I'll stick with 142 for my last week's weigh in and come back this week

sniperhil--We can do this. Pound by pound, let's keep each other accountable. When you reach a low weight, PM me, and let me know what you did, exercise and food, and I'll help keep you accountable so you don't go back up again. If you go up again, let me know too, and I'll help you with some motivation and encouragement We can do this!!
