I'm in! My goal is 146, but I'll be thrilled with anything in the 140s since it's been so long since I've been there.

Oooooh! Good idea! Count me in!

My challenge : Lose ten pounds by New Year. I'm at 155 right now. If I could ring in the NY at 145, I think I'd die of happiness. I can't remember the last time I saw those numbers. Sixth grade, maybe?

You could try running up/down the staircase during your lunch break. Believe me, it'll get your heartrate up and your legs will get one **** of a workout!

I want to be at my halfway point by New Years. This means getting to 225 which would be a 50 pound loss total. I have about 22 pounds to go. totally doable I think if I can stay on track at Christmas.

I'm totally in. And I think i'm going to challenge myself more than usual this time. I'm looking for a little under 3 lbs a week...a total of TWENTY NINE pounds by New Years. That'll put me at 179. Whew...that's more than I usually ask of myself, but I think I can do it. Fingers crossed!

Good luck all!

Hi Ladies,
How are you all doing and how is your new years challenge going?

I thought I would share a little bit --- I am proud that I increased my treadmill workout today a little bit --- I was doing like 25 min and about 1 mile. But today I did like 1.4 miles and almost 30 min. I am especially proud because I did 2 stretches of 3 min each with running at the speed of 6. 6 was unbearable for me and i could do Max 5.5. At 6 i would last like 30 secs. I had a good day today.

I am also thinking of getting the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred DVD. But I had questions --- will that be not so useful after 30 days?? I mean then you are stuck at the intensity you had at the 30th day right and no more intensity spikes?? So I am wondering if I should just get it from my netflix or buy it!!

I have also decided to reward myself if I get to my new years goal. I really wish to lose 20 lbs but if I get anywhere in the 150s I will be sooooo excited. And I am thinking of ways to rewards myself without going broke!! ANy ideas??

I am so in! I want to lose about 25 lbs by NY. I know that is a really high goal, but I need to be in the low 150s again....its been too long. Thats 2.5lbs per week. My biggest problem is accountability. I always do well on the challenges where I am on a team (which means I can't slack off because I am causing someone else to fail). So, anyone out there who wants to be tough on me go right ahead - i need it!

Overall goals - workout 5x week and yoga 3x week. I bought an elliptical for my house so I have no excuses now!

Good luck girls!

I would suggest netflixing it and see if you like it first. I bought it and HATED it so now it collects dust on my shelf.

As for rewards, I am rewarding myself with a new tattoo if I keep up on not smoking. If I meet my new year's goal I am getting a new lip ring those are just things I am motivated by!

Update!

I'm taking this challenge seriously so, in addition to the C25K program (which I'm doing 3-4 times a week), I signed up for a kickboxing bootcamp today! The bootcamp consists of a minimum of four classes per week : cardio kickboxing, bags, body sculpting and a bags+body sculpting combo. ... tonight was my first session (body sculpting) and it kicked my butt! (sorta like how it felt the first time I tried 30DS). I just KNOW this bootcamp is going to help me in this challenge!

Reward? This is going to sound weird, but I'm going to get a bustier/corset. I've always wanted one : I think it looks downright awesome with jeans and knee-high boots, either over a white blouse or on its own. see pic (not me. I only wish I was that thin!) What do you girls think?

OMG the corset is such a great idea. I would love to get one of those too. Fredricks of Hollywood has some really cute ones which you could wear over jeans too. I saw um last year but dropped the idea because my love handles popped out on the sides.-- yuck.

Nicole, The 25 pound goal is definitely a challeneg but you sound motivated enough to do it. DOnt worry, there will be plenty of accountability. I added you to my buddy list and will PM you too.

I havent thought of a great reward yet -- but I have been wanting a pair of really nice jeans. I was looking at a pair at diesel and True religion. I couldnt believe it that the diesel didnt make the pair I liked in a waist size more than 29. OUch --- I felt sooo fat!!
I gotta get um.

My bf and I go shopping together. He loves diesel and always pushes me to get stuff there. But I never do. First of I dont love their clothing but I do love their jeans. But I stillnever get um and he always says why. WHo will tell him that the one i like is not made in my size >?? so the only thing i ended up getting was a pair of shoes.
