Fettuccini with Creamy Tomato Sauce

recipe ingredients
8 ounces fettuccini, dried
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2/3 cup lowfat ricotta cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
2 teaspoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (about 14 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained

recipe directions
Cook and drain fettucini as directed on package, omitting any oil. Spray a large saucepan with nonstick spray and heat over medium high heat. Cook onion and garlic in saucepan, stirring, until onion is crisp tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, then reduce to simmer. Cook, uncovered, 5 minutes, until slightly thickened. Serve over fettuccini.

    EXCELLENT. By far the best recipe I’ve tried from here. So easy to make, and absolutely nothing needs to be changed with the recipe. It was very, very good.

    I have made this receipe so many times, and it comes out perfect everytime. Tastes too good to be diet. Have made it also with regular spaghetti noodles.

    This was reaally good. I used a packet of splenda because i didnt have any sugar on hand.

    This dish was really good didnt expect it to be as good as i thought i just added a little salt to it but other than that it was good!!
