Wheeww…

I am Sweaty!  I just went for run and AGAIN, I beat my best time!  This run was 38:02, another 20 seconds gone.  WOOHOO!  It’s super muggy today. For those of you who don’t live in Michigan - the humidity SUCKS!  It’s 75 and sticky just walking so imagine going for a 3.15 mile run. Yea, tell me about it.

I got on the scale today and it’s moving down. I don’t actually weigh in until Friday morning so we will just keep on plan and hope for a nice number!

Making Progress

I just got back from a very good run!  I went on my usual 5k route that’s around my house and finished in 38:22, my new best.  It’s fun to break my old numbers.  I did the same thing as before with jogging and walking a certain amount of time and I really like that system.  It seems to work for me.  I guess when I say I’ll just run until I can’t anymore and then walk until I can run again, I walk A LOT longer than really needed and give up jogging faster than needed.  So putting it all in the numbers is a great thing for me.

I’ve been doing well with food this week (my WW week goes Friday to Thursday) Friday and Saturday I stayed in my points and on Sunday I ate a light breakfast and lunch and went to my Mom’s for a BBQ.  I obviously couldn’t count my points there but I ate well.  Slowly but surely I am remembering how easy it is to stay on top of things if you really want to make a change.  AND I DO!

Yayy!

I lost a pound this week.  Not sure how that happened but I’ll take it, as always.  I’m starting to feel good about being on track again.  I am very excited for the 5k in July.  I went to the track with a friend tonight and had my best run ever.  I am not able to run the whole distance yet but I jogged 7mins, walked 3 for the first 30 minutes and then I jogged for 5 mins, walked 30 seconds and then jogged to the end!!  I finished with my best time of 38:56.  I’m pretty happy about that.  I still have 6 weeks until the race.  Enough time to drop a few minutes off my time. Plus, race day always gives you a mental boost, what with all the screaming fans!

Thanks for the Support!

Still Here.  Don’t give up on me.  Started counting points again this week.  Started training for a 5k on July 4th that I am running with my Dad.  Started believing I’m over my slump.  We’ll see….  Thanks again!

5/3rd River Bank Run 5k

Patti and I went downtown this morning at 7am for the 5k.  We walked the majority of the race because training has not been happening.  It started to downpour at the 2 mile mark and that sucked but we finished.  It took 52:20.  Next race is in June and I am GOING to train for it AND I am GOING to run the whole thing!

Aaarg.

THINGS ARE NOT GOING WELL.

Back and Better than ever!

It’s official, I am back! I started my week off on a bad note by eating ice cream and chocolate bars but I ended on plan and feel good. I needed that break but I’m sick of feeling like shit about myself and want to be on plan now. I lost 1 pound this week and can’t believe it. I thought I would gain or stay the same, so I’m happy.

My Mom and I had our first Bootcamp class last night and IT. WAS. KILLER. I loved every second. Never have I pushed myself that hard. I’m sore today but can’t wait for next week. We started with a 7 minute warm up run/jog/walk, used a 15lb body bar and did lunges, squats, bicep curls, tricep and shoulder presses, used the lines on the parking lot to jump over (next time we are going to jump over curbs or something, this was practice to get out knees up - I might die) and ran up a hill 10 times. We ended the outside part with suicides. We moved inside because it had rained all day and no one wanted to do our core on the wet ground. We did a lot of planks from elbow to push up position. I was sweating so bad my forearms were slipping on my mat! It was a GOOD workout.
