It has been such a.long.day. I am tired. I did L1D2 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and I hate her. HA! But really, every muscle in body hurts. I hope I can get out of bed tomorrow!

Here is my updated menu for today!

Breakfast
Coffee w/fat free creamer 2pts
2 Morning Star veggie sausage patties 4pts
1 packet of strawberry jam 1pt

No AM snack...I was so busy today!

Lunch
Chicken taco w/black beans 7pts
Salsa 0pts
Ice cream sandwich 4pts

Afternoon snack
Banana 0pts

Late afternoon snack
Low fat string cheese 1pt

Dinner
Ranch pork chop 5pts
1/2 cup brown rice 4 pts
Strawberries 0pts

Total 28pts
Unused 2pts

Since I lost weight I got bumped from 31 to 30 points!

OK...I am in Alabama and idk if y'all watch the news or not, but they are calling for snow. Up to 4 inches. If you have never been to the south when it snows then you won't understand. But basically, everything shuts down. People fight in the stores for bread and milk. no.joke. Our local weather man that I have loved since I was a small child gets hate mail when they call for snow! We just got bumped to a Winter warning, not a winter watch. With that said, I have no idea how my day will go tomorrow. LOL... say some prayers for me! These Alabamians have no idea what to do when the weather changes! Haha!

Hope y'all have a great day!

I love how active this thread is! I put up a post asking about why people chose veggie/vegan (curiosity, and ice breaker) the WW forum in a veggie group yesterday, and I still haven't had any responses (unless you count me replying with "no one?" after waiting LOL).

Fattitude got me thinking... Every day I box myself in with fresh fruits and veggies, and really haven't gotten creative with my foods. I even have chickpeas in my cupboard, it just never occurred to me to make use of it. So the DW and I went for a trip to Chapter's, and picked up a new cook book.

"Big Vegan" by Robin Asbell. This thing is HUGE! I love the index. As an example, I looked up chickpea, and found 5 recipes. LOVE IT!
http://www.amazon.com/Big-Vegan-Reci.../dp/0811874672
http://www.robinasbell.com/

Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. I'm excited. I've been 100% on plan all week long. Wish me luck. I hope all of you fantastic ladies have an equally fantastic day!

Wednesday
Breakfast
4P Oatmeal (1 cup, cooked) - http://www.bobsredmill.com/
2P Unpasteurized Honey (1 tbsp)
0P Banana (large)

Lunch
9P 6" Subway Veggie Patty with FF Honey Mustard (no cheese)
-Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Green Pepper, Pickles, Cucumber, Banana Peppers
*Left over from the day before

Dinner
2P Little Big Bread (1 serving, 2 slices)
1P Veggie Bacon (2 servings, 2 slices) - http://www.yvesveggie.com/
1P Vegan May (1 tbsp)
0P Mustard (1 tspn)
0P Tomato (3 slices)
0P Romain Lettuce (2 leaves)

Snacks
3P Wasabi Peas (2 tbsp)
0P Kiwi (small)
0P Clementine (small)
0P Gala Apple (small)
0P Celery (1 cup, chopped)
0P Carrots (1 cup, chopped)

SoMuchFattitude: So true, and for some reason I don't ever think of it in the moment. I have a can of chickpeas in my cupboard! I need to be more adventurous.

smashlers: Flexetarian - I love it! LOL. I'm the helper, but my wife does a majority of the gardening (she plans the produce we plant, and the landscape... I water and talk to them, lol). She enjoys being creative, and we often swap our herbs for fresh lettuce with our dutch neighbours, lol. This year I'd like to get more involved, I love being outdoors.

thewalrus0: Welcome to the thread! And welcome back to weight watchers. I can relate the the fatal "all or nothing" mentality. We need to have a little room for ourselves to be human. Remember: you are still down from where you were before, and you can do this!

oksoitsjen: Oh my word. Really? Snow is part of 6-8 months of my life, coupled with windchill warnings (-30 to -40 C)! We just had about a foot build up over two days. No one missed work, hardly anyone was late, lol. We even have designated "Snow Routes" that you can't park along. When we have heavy snowfall, they declare the snow routes, they send out the plows and and gravel trucks, and everyone has a route to get to work/school. I live in Calgary, AB, Canada though. We get the weirdest weather. We have hail the size of golf balls in July, and we have warm fronts called Chinooks that take our weather from -40 C to +5 C within hours.

I have been watching the menus, just to see how WW's eat. (I go to my first visit to a meeting Saturday.)
Does anyone eat eggs, like today I had two eggs cooked in grape seed oil with sliced zuncihni with black coffee for breakfast. Does that sound like an ok meal for WW's?

I was in Oklahoma for Christmas this year visiting my sister and it was hilarious to see the state go into major panic when they called for a Christmas "blizzard". When it was all said and done, you could STILL SEE THE GROUND!!! haha Coming from Massachusetts, a blizzard to us is feet of snow! Very amusing how one thing is so second nature to us. I was out there once during a tornado watch and I was freaked out that every little noise was a tornado coming but my brother in law was laughing at me because they're so used to it now.

I leave this afternoon to spend the weekend in Toronto for the Canadian Figure Skating Championships and I am SO EXCITED!!! I get to see a bunch of my "skating" friends (aka girls that I have met throughout the years going to different skating events) and get away for the weekend. I packed gym clothes because the hotel has a fitness center and I'm going to try my best to be good!!! No vacation mentality foodwise for me!

Chickadeee: YES!! I actually have my own chickens that lay actual eggs ::Blink:: and its amazing. I eat an egg pretty much everyday. 1 egg=2pts. In fact, I am hard boiling some eggs right now! (PS, I can't stand egg substitute, its not worth it to me) Cage free, the way to be. LOL ok I am done.

Jen! Stay warm!!! We had a blizzard in Indiana a few days after xmas... It was a cozy winter wonderland, I watched Brave, and Christmas Vacation, and ALL of season 1 of Girls. (I can't lie: I enjoyed it.) My house was clean, my kettle was warm.... it was good.

Mandelea: I have looked around the veg page too.... not to much action. I need an active thread, and this is it! I am going to look and see if my library has that book you suggested. I could stand to leave out some cheese once and a while.

TODAY I WEIGH. Pretty nervous. I have slowly, but surely told pretty much everyone at work I am doing WW so they all know. Which, I never intend to do, but I seem to slip and tell everyone around me when I am actively losing.

Does everyone know that you are on a WL plan?

Please hurry up Friday - I need this week to be OVER....
-----

MagicEyez - Thank you for your kind words! This is why I love 3FC and don't feel the need to go to the WW meetings themselves. I get the support here!

Chele615 - I'm a foodie. I can't do margarine - the scent makes me gag. I can't choke down FF cheese. I have a hard time giving up taste on anything. I'll be completely honest about PB2 - I love it. It's 2tbsp of dry powder to 1tbsp of water. I mix 4tbsp dry and 2 tbsp water and the texture is remarkably similar to peanut butter. Don't stray from the measured amounts - it doesn't work It's not as sweet and definitely tastes more peanut'y, but I like that. It's not as processed of a feeling in your mouth, if that makes sense. I'm a fan. For 4 dry tbsp it's 90 calories, 3 grams of fat and 10 grams of protein. It's 2pts for 4 dry tbsp. Again - I love it.

smashlers - What is Cambozola cheese? Good luck on your WI today!!! And yes, everyone in my life knows. I feel it keeps me more accountable.

thewalrus0 - Welcome!!! I also feel like for the first time I've got the mental aspect right. I struggled with calorie counting and just love WW PP.

oksoitsjen - Oh yes! JM 30DS is no joke. I'm in Atlanta and we're suppose to get 1inch - everyone is panicked here. Hilarious! I lived in Vermont for a few years....ONE INCH and people are losing their minds.

MandeLea - GL on your WI today!! I make the mistake of eating the same foods over and over again and then I burn out. I'm trying to make sure I have a lot of variety this time so I don't do that to myself.

chickadeee55 - Yes! That'd be a good WW breakfast! I like eggs and eat them, but I'm super picky about them so it's only on the weekends I have them and that's only if I make them. Have fun on Saturday!

Chele615 - Are you a figure skater? My SIL is a judge and does the national level judging!

------

I'm hoping for a better day today! We did not go to Mellow Mushroom, but I did equally as good. We went to some grill and I had grilled swordfish, spinach and rice with a side salad and light ranch. I ended up at 13 or so points and had some left.

Our rain is suppose to turn to gross sleet/snow today - oh joy. LOL I see a bubble bath in my future today.

Breakfast
2 Van's Organic Power Grains Waffles (5pts)
PB2 Chocolate (2pts)
Banana (0pts)

Snack
Yoplait Light + Fiber (1pt)
Fiber One Brownie (2)
Blueberries and blackberries (0)

Lunch
2.75oz smoked turkey sausage (3pts)
3/4c. rice w/ veggies (4pts)

Snack
2tbsp port wine and cheddar dip (2pts)
Baby carrots

Dinner
TBD - 19 points left

Good Morning Ladies!!

How awesome is it to see new people coming in !!! I love it !!!

I managed to stay on track yesterday, but I had to take a snack with me to the bowling alley cause I was hungry and knew I wouldnt be done until pushing 830. I was so hungry by the time I got home!!!! But, I had a salad with fresh lemon and a smart one ... so yesterday was a good day! And I bowled a 246 one game beating the boys on my team! w00h00!!

smashlers ** I'll be crossing my fingers for you at weigh in ... I know you're gonna be great!!!

oksoitsjen ** That Jullian Michaels is pretty tough huh?! I have some of her workouts, not sure which ones ... I did the first one and thought I was gonna fall out - never did 'em again! lol ... oops!!! I sort of felt like I slacked off yesterday cause I didn't do my Zumba, but I bowled 3 games, at a pretty quick pace (the guys were throwing lots of strikes ~ lol) so at least I got a little 'sumthen in!

Did I mention how exciting it is to have all of us on here to chat?!? lol .. I love it!!

PS ~ Gary Allan in just 3 more days!!!!!

MandeLea It's so crazy! It's not even freezing so it won't stick around very long, but everyone is panicking! Haha! We don't even have snow plows! They have to be sent down when we have big storms!

Chele615 I'm sure it's the same way here! I was born in Chicago, my family lives there, so I have experienced real snow...These people are just nutso around these parts!!

smashlers If we got a real blizzard I think people would seriously die. Haha!

SoMuchFattitude You aren't too far from me!! I bet y'all don't have any bread and milk at your stores either!! I am so so sore today! It's way worse than yesterday! Jillian Michaels is no joke.

chickadeee55That sounds like a great breakfast! I love eggs, so I usually eat them on the weekend and use my weekly points!

OK... I don't really have a real menu for today. This is what it may or may not end up as. I haven't had breakfast yet so it will mostly just be an AM snack.

Breakfast/Snack
Coffee w/fat free creamer 2pts
Banana 0pts

Lunch
Brown Rice 1/2 cup 4pts
Ranch Pork Chop 5pts
String Cheese 1pt
Strawberries 0pts

Afternoon Snack
Apple 0pts
Strawberries 0pts

Dinner
Chicken and rice casserole-Haven't figured out the points for this one yet
Squash 0pts
Salad w/fat free ranch 2pts

I will update as this changes...I'm hoping to get to play in at least a little bit of snow today!! Y'all have a great day!

oksoitsjen - How are you getting 4pts for 1/2c. of brown rice?

My tracker says 1c. is 5 points and 1/2c. is 3pts.

I have 3/4c. rice today and it's 4pts on my tracker so I was confused. =/

Hmm...

SoMuchFattitude I was really confused about that... My scanner said it was 4pts for 1/2 cup uncooked, which makes about 1 cup cooked. Then when I looked it up online, I kept seeing 4pts for 1/2 cup. SO I went with the 4 points just to be safe? It is Success Boil In Bag Brown Rice... What do you get for that?

oksoitsjen - I'm getting 4pts for 1/2c uncooked - so that'd be a little over 1c. cooked for 4points. When I look up just "brown rice" in the tracker it says 5pts for 1c. cooked, 4pts for 3/4c. and 3pts for 1/2.

I do know that when I make rice 1 dry cup will make about 3 cups cooked - so it's probably just the cook difference.

I'd use whatever point value you feel comfortable with.

Oh man - this whole cooked vs. uncooked stuff blows my mind....

SoMuchFattitude Me too! And there were so many different point values, that I just went with more to be safe! I might cut it down to 3. Hopefully the one point won't make that much of a difference. When I look up brown rice on the tracker and online, I get 3, 4, 5 and 6pts. I guess it just depends on the kind of rice. 4pts for 1/2c dry, 1 cup cooked. That's what it says when I actually add the points up with the calculator.

SoMuchFattitude ~ No, I'm not a skater. I just really enjoy watching it!! Although I'm from Mass, I enjoy going to the Canadian events much more because it's cheaper and my friends are all there. Being a dedicated fan for so long (since 2002), we have had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with some of the skaters, so it's nice having a personal connection. Most of the skaters we consider friends are retired now, but some are starting to pop up now as coaches at these events...so that's fun!

2.4 lbs lighter, y'all! I was so nervous about a gain because of my activity last week! I guess I will continue with that same strategy this week! Also, I talked to my meeting about a food scale and they all love theirs. I am going to order one on Amazon right after I am done with this post!

Somuchfattitude-Cambozola is a favorite cheese of mine. It is a creamy base, like a softer Brie, with specks of deliciously stinky Blue Cheese. It spreads like a dream..... on celery ::wahhhhhh::
