I'm sat at work in my winter jacket with no plans to take it off. I really miss double paned windows, central heating, and insulated buildings...can't wait to get out of Japan and move back to the West.
Yesterday was fairly good for eating and I got in a great run and pushups/core session, despite the day being off to a really rocky start.

Diana (LA) That's a huge compliment. Thank you very much. I do care about everyone here and want all of us to succeed against the "fat monster". I have been battling that thing for as long as I can remember. Congrats on the 1.5 pounds. That's fantastic!
Cincimini Hi and Welcome back!
Pint How did your shopping trip go?
Wednesday Ugh! I am so sorry to hear that you had the flu. I hope things are starting to look up for you.
LadyLai The grilled salmon sounds awesome! I used to eat fish/seafood at least 3 or 4 times a week. I recently found out that I am allergic to shellfish. I stopped eating all seafood in the mean time. I am planning on going to an allergist soon to get this allergy thing figured out.

Well the scale rebelled today as I feared. I was up 2 lbs this morning.
I didn't let it stop me though!! I am really feeling yesterday's run/incline walk in my muscles today. I am sore. I also ate late last night. So I'm feeling that those 2 lbs are water. It'll be gone in no time.
So I was up and down the stairs a few times today with doing laundry and then toting the heavy baskets upstairs. I was on plan with my eating, so I am not worried there either. Just got done with some of Bob's 15 min abs. I already feel it, I wonder if I'll be sore like last time. I look forward to the day that I am strong enough to work on improving my form more.
Yep! I was raised from infancy in Albany, NY of all places. I'm just living in Japan for work, been here since summer 2008. 3 years total and nowhere near as much in savings as I'd hoped to show for it, sadly.
Vixsin Hang in there. You know about the sodium from the restaurant.
Something funny about me: Last weekend I had some leftover steamed broccoli, so I put it in my omelet the next day. It was so good. Would you believe I have been thinking about a broccoli omelet since. I actually forgot to get some broccoli at the store today. I will have to buy some this week and see if I like the broccoli omelet again. I mostly eat spinach omelets.
Shells & Roxanne - Thank you!

Okay so I went to WalMart (EVIL!! lol) and I found a wristwatch that is supposed to keep track of your calories burned while exercising. You have to set up your profile in it (Height, Weight, Age, Gender, etc.) before the first use. Anyone know if these are accurate? It was $40.....I'm hoping it works as well as the chest thingies you guys use on here. Suggestions? I can't wait to use it tomorrow!

Unfortunately, I can't answer your question. BUT, I'm curious to know the answer and to see what you think of it!
Well, I made it a protein day. Also, I was so frustrated with today, so I took it on on my exercise and just had to run.

Ran 1 mile
Leg strengthening and slimming DVD
Breakfast: Greek yogurt, banana, coffee
Snack: 8 cashews
Lunch: LC Fish
Snack: Baby carrots
Golden Globes Dinner night (I make fancy meals on awards nights ): white wine and Dijon mustard marinated chicken, braised kale and portobello mushrooms, sesame and soy glazed green beans, whole wheat pear tart, glass of sangria

Hey, everyone. So, I finally went grocery shopping today. I always procrastinate doing that when at school. I don't have a car, so having to take the bus is this three-hour long ordeal. I had some oatmeal for breakfast and then didn't eat again until the evening because I was literally out of food. Ended up eating a biiiiig burrito and had to stop myself from binging. I think I did well, considering I'm still 400 calories under my goal of 1500, but it's late and I'm not particularly hungry, so I might not bother. Anyway, tomorrow I need to start exercising again. I've had a lazy weekend and am starting to feel antsy. Hope everyone's well.
Diana - I'll have to move back for a bit to get situated but I'm thinking I'll flee the cold and move South, maybe TN or TX.
Today was embarrassing. First day of TOM and I lost the battle against all that candy and junk at work. Probably 1000 calories of chocolates, cookies, and crackers. It's so embarrassing to type that number! Had a very small dinner to make up for it.
Breakfast - 100
-Yogurt (47)
-Cracker (50)
Lunch - 350
-Leftover kimchee/tofu/veggie stirfry
-Snap peas and mini tomatoes
Good Morning, All! I hope you have a great start to your week! Let's make it a great one!
I've been having problems sleeping because of TTOM. I go to bed cold and wake up hot. Last night when I got into bed, I got all nice and toasty. Right before I feel asleep, I rolled the blankets down, so maybe I wouldn't wake up during the night hot. It worked! I slept better last night. I still have problems sleeping during TTOM, though. It must just be a hormonal thing. At least I didn't wake up hot.
Good very cold morning, everyone! It's -6F here this morning. Yuck!
Diana--Yay for a better night's sleep! And that broccoli omelet does sound yummy.
Krampus--Whoops on all that candy, but good for you staying accountable to us. I'm sure you'll get back on track right away.
Eurydice--Great job on not binging!
Diana(LA)--Let us know how it goes. I have the chest strap one. It's pretty nifty! And you're right, fat won't win!! No way, no how! Congrats on being halfway to goal!!
Lindsey--That dessert does sound amazing!
Vixsin--I ate late last night too and the scales were up for me this morning. I had a feeling with the soy glazed green beans, the sodium must be through the roof. We'll get there!
LadyLai--Great job staying away from those temptations. Those grilled veggies sound awesome!
wednesdaymorning--I am so sorry you were so sick! Glad you're feeling better, though.
Cin--Welcome back!! How was India?? We missed you!
