Dude... Is that really your BMR? That's awesome. I just checked what mine would be at my goal weight... And realized that it's 1600-1700 at a low energy lifestyle. That's awesome. I'd been wondering recently how low my daily caloric intake would end up being when I lost all this weight and whether or not I would feel hungry a lot. Clearly, the answer is not. ^^

K now I am going to bed.. lol g'night ladies... O! and this morning of course tom showed up and I still was down to 203.8 on the scale and this evening.. it was 9pm and tom was in full swing so to speak.. lol and the scale said 205... I was just 205 on a good day last week.. so yea woot woot! happy girl am I this evening! K.. now I am going to bed for real.. night night!!

Angela - awesome on the weight loss!! We've been kicking blue team butt lately (sorry Echo ) and you're sure to make us a winner this week too, woohoo!

Echo - sorry to hear about your cramps. You get a floppy hat?!!? Argh! I got the standard grad cap. I looked like a total tool in it too although I was super happy about wearing said cap. Hehe. I would LOVE a floppy hat. Yeah my parents were super excited about me graduating too. Well, my mom was more matter of fact about it, my dad was excited - he got me the flowers and bear I wanted. Don't worry about going over your calorie limit today. I'm sure all that bike riding will either maintain your weight or cause you to decrease.

Garnet - good job on the jumping jacks today! I was just thinking of attempting those but I decided to do a few lunges instead.

It was raining all.day.today. It was so gloomy and for some reason I kept having these memories (sad) pop into my head. You know, my embarrassing moments from high school and college? I just kept thinking about them and wondering what I could've done differently. Like it would've made a difference, right? Anyway, I'm betting it was the weather.

Today's confessions:

Breffix - 1 cup skim milk + 1 tbsp cocoa powder. Spiced wheat noodles.

Lunch - 1 cup gobi manchurian, 1/4 cup leftover roasted potatoes, 1 cup cooked white rice

Snack - chips!!

Dinner - Healthy Choice Steamer, Chicken marsala, two spoons of pomegranate. I hate pomegranate. I tasted it once when I was a kid and didn't like it. This time figured my tastebuds would've grown up some and I would like it, but I didn't. Something about the texture throws me off.

Exercise: um. some lunges. Didn't do anything because of the rain.

Tomorrow's a new day. Getting a walk in the minute it's nice out.

Goodnight gals!! Talk to you all tomorrow

G'night, Angela. Way to go on the calorie intake. I've been working on refining my cooking skills so I've been experimenting. So far, all experiments have tasted pretty darn good. ^^

okay today i'm going to be really strict with myself and eat 1800 calories!!!

i gotta hit the shower, my cousin and her two little daughters are coming for lunch. and im all sweaty from doing my c25k and bike. total calories burn so far today is 858 calories.

having potato parathas, so had to burn extra calories lol. im thinking each paratha is going to be like 730 calories. i did some rough calculations haha. already had cereal in the morning. so means that no dinner if i have 2 parathas at lunch.

Okay. So I stepped on the scale and it's up from it's low point a few days ago. To begin with I was a little confused. How is that possible. I've be on target every day this week. Then it hit me. Like a ton of bricks. Muscle ways more than fat. I know I'm working my muscles. I've done push-ups for the last three days. They're girl push-ups but I'm doing them. I loathed push-ups in school because I didn't have the upper body strength to do them.

And I know I'm still losing. While checking what size I would be for the enell's, I noticed something. My chest measurement was smaller. I remeasured it a couple of times and decided that it must be the different bra I was wearing. But for the heck of it, I measured my waist. And then my hips. Everything is my center is already starting to shrink. My arms and legs are about the same, but my middle is shrinking.

So. Bottom line, it doesn't bother me. I'd still like the scale to be lower, but this Tuesday is a weigh-in and a measurement day, so I know that I'll see progress either way. And progress, no matter how small, is still progress.

Hey Garnet, yes thats right my BMR is 1800 calories

thats awesome that your goal weight calories wont be that low and remember when you exercise you can up your calories also once you want to maintain.

my cousin came over today and she noticed i had lost weight and said i look good and shouldnt lose anymore or get skinny.

but i personally am not comfortable at this weight, i want to go down to at least 150lbs and then will re-evaluate how i feel and look.

aww thanks Sunni. feeling better now, still on periods, but no cramps so exercised today

i did week 2 of C25k. and then rode my bike for 50minutes. did interval training. 30 seconds of fast with 2 minutes normal. burned about 500 calories.

and then my nieces came over, (my cousins daughters) they are so sweet, 4 and 7. i usually play make believe with them. bless. today we played aliens on mars haha one of them brought a poster of mars, so stuck that up on the wall and the rest we just make believed. she also bought a fossil so incoportated that into the story too. i remember jillian always says be active with kids, its good for them and for you! and you burn a ton of calories. haha so true.

bless the youngest, saw my dumbells and wanted to exercise with them! lol she was like, i can lift it! they are like 3 lbs and 6 lbs. i said to her later on we can have an exercise session. and we did. but i gave her something light to hold and she wasnt having it, wanted to hold the dumbell. so i let her hold it, but i held it so she wasnt really carrying the weight and she was doing shoulder presses lol. and then we did some cardio haha. we did jumping jacks , running on the spot. and then she took over and told me to jog on the spot and stop and so on haha.

then later on, i timed them doing sprints. kids have so much energy.

its funny during dinner. the 4 year old wanted to eat my paratha, so i gave her some of mine without the spicy stuff. and then gave her some yogurt, at first she wasnt that keen, but then really loved it. its so true, kids really copy what you do.

then later on, the 7year old got hungry, but her mom said, no she cant eat, cause she doesnt eat dinner properly and gets hungry again. i disagreed and thought she got hungry cause she has a small tummy and we were playing. so i said, i will give her some fruit. so i gave her a banana and then the little one wanted some too. so i gave her a small tangerine.

i felt like jillian lol.

although they did get some sweets earlier on, but not too many. its fun being an aunt lol. i did enjoy playing with them

the 7 year old has a wii. and wants to play tennis, and she talks a big game! so i said to her, bring your A game and get ready to have you butt whooped, she was like, yeh yeh i will beat you lol.they have a week off school so will plan to go see them.

i used to do that when i was writing up my thesis or preparing for my viva thinking if i had just taken another path i could be free from this torture! lol

but you've done amazing Sunni. you're a Doctor of philosophy! thats a huge achievement!!

Jillian once spoke about this, how the scale is just a way to monitor how you are doing. expect your weight to fluctuate up and down.
especially after a workout your muscles will be sore and they retain MORE water to repair themselves. so you will weigh more.

and its a popular misconception, dont worry i used to think the same! until i read about it on number of posts on this website. that muscle does not weigh more than fat. but looks leaner

the increase you saw, is nothing to worry about, its probably just water retention, because you have been working out so hard. and dont go by daily weights at all. like you're already doing, check your weight on a weekly basis. but dont panic if you see your weight go up, it will just be because of water retention because you've been working out so hard!
hope you dont mind me commenting on your confession. sorry for barging in! just wanted to reassure you.that you need not worry about weight fluctuations

and thats so awesome you're already seeing a difference, thats amazing! well done!!

i'm planning on doing 30DS next week! you've inspired me

well done on doing push ups! i know i couldnt even do girl push ups! but i can sort of do them haha i still dont go down very low though

I know, I know. It's exciting to thing about prospects like that.

I wouldn't base your decision on whether or not to lose more on what your cousin suggests. As long as the weight you're aiming for is healthy for you and your body, that's what matters. I know that if/when I get down to a weight like your current one, I'll likely come across a few people who tell me the same thing.

But it doesn't matter. What matters is that you want to be at a healthy weight and a healthy BMI and they should support you in that.

EXACTLY ! thank you Garnet!! I really appreciate that! for so long, nearly all my life people have told me that i need to lose weight my family mostly and now that i am, they are like, dont lose too much dont get too skinny dont want you a thin face. lol you cant win. but if i eat my BMR calories and just workout hard than i should be fine, and it shouldnt affect my face. i've lost the podgy puppy fat i had on my face, and i prefer my face like this.

very well said Garnet, i'm so glad you understand and you're so right!!! thanks ! i really appreciate it

Just popping in to confess...will address posts above tomorrow morning. to all!

Breffix - 1 cup skim milk + 1 tbsp cocoa powder, instant oatmeal with 1/4 cup raisins

Lunch - Indian buffet. It was really delicious. The others we've been to around here were awful so I barely ate but this one made stuff that tasted just like I liked it so um I er ate...pretty well. Ok, let's just move on.

Snack - 1 large banana, some chips

Dinner - chinese soup and some baked wonton strips. My chinese soup is just chicken stock, 1/2 tsp soy sauce, couple of drops of sesame oil, chopped green onions and mushrooms with beaten egg stirred in. Wonton strips are wonton wrappers cut into strips and placed on an oiled baking sheet at 450 for 3-4 minutes.

Snack - 1/2 apple

My calories were low for breffix, snacks and dinner. I'm hoping that balances out the lunch. I wasn't stuffed full when we left. I stopped a little after I felt comfortably full. Thinking back, I should've skipped dessert and then I would've been fine, but whatever. Learning experience.

Exercise: ugh, none. I better not get into a habit of not doing anything AGAIN. I was really enjoying getting into a routine.

Goals for tomorrow: exercise and staying on-plan for food.
