Hey hey hey, Sunni's in da house!!!

I was away at my parents this weekend. I did have internet access but I was lazy. Hehehe. I'm not going to confess what I ate because dayam, it was a lot.

Ang & Echo - your avatars look great!! Both of you are stunning!! Love the witch costume!

I wanted to be a bellydancer for halloween considering I'm not that self-conscious anymore about revealing my midriff. Well, we decided to visit Mr. Sunni's brother+wife on Sat and we couldn't make it back in time for the trick o' treaters so we just got a few stragglers (teenagers). Man, they are so lame. For reals. I got two boys, one was maybe 16 and the other was I think 10. They were both dressed in jeans, t-shirts and their fave football jersey. Um, ok. They had no bags so I asked them "do you have something I can put the candy in?" The older one goes "yeah" and takes off his baseball cap. Then I said to the younger one "are you going to share the candy with him?" and he shook his head before cupping his hands for candy. They are hilarious, made my day. My dad loves to hear about kiddie antics, so he really enjoyed it as well.

The good news is that when I went home, the very first night my mom and sis said I looked good. This was surprising because last time they just said "oh yeah you look a little smaller" and I have only lost 2 lbs since I saw them. So it was nice to hear that I'm still shrinking. My sis talked to me about what I do to lose weight and I think she's going to use the same tricks to lose weight herself. When I wore my dress that I had bought JUST for the occasion (I can re-wear it), my mom said "oh you look VERY nice" and even my dad commented (he never does). So I was smiley all day, hee hee.

Ok, back to the grind today. I have so much to do on my list. Argh! Talk to you chickies later!

Thanks, Echo. I hope you have a great week too!

I had my weigh in this morning and I am down 3.4 pounds this week to 270.1. I can't wait to hit the 260s!

I am planning to make spaghetti squash tonight for the first time and am looking forward to it. Hopefully, I won't screw it up too badly! I'll check back in later with my confessions.

i'm really struggling staying within my calorie limit of 1500-1600. today i ate just over 1900 calories. i got hungry at midnight, as i had an early dinner. so i went over my calorie intake

i think tommorow i'm going to steam some veggys and force myself to eat some veg with my dinner, so that i feel fuller. i heard that low calorie high volume food can help with the feeling of being full without going over your calorie intake.

im beginning to think my body is happy and wants to stay at 160lbs!! but im not , i've still got a podgy tummy i want to slim down. im really struggling, but going to keep trying. i saw 159.8lbs on the scale this morning, but after todays calorie intake, no doubt it will shoot back up to 160.9lbs again gah!!

exercise wise, i did okay. did c25k week 2, and walked an extra 30 minutes, then did 10 minutes on the rebounder and then 15 minutes of step.

total calories eaten 1926

caloried burned 785

calorie deficient 693

predicted pounds loss 0.20

===

so tommorow's plan:

1500 calories!

breakfast : some raw almonds and an apple. (i need to eat something light as i'm doing jump training (plyometrics)

workout - p90x plyometrics.

lunch - steamed brocoli and mixed veg, with some protein

dinner - steamed veg and protein.

will allocate 200 calories for naughty treats i've been craving doritos for awhile. so going to measure out 200 calories worth. which will be like 10 chips!! and then 1300 calories for main food.

Thanks Echo, I like the pic of myself with little Hayden too. She is so photogenic.

I walked at work today and came in at just under 1500 calories today. Today's meals were:

water
carnation breakfast drink

spaghetti with meatballs
roll with pat of garlic butter
1/2 cup green beans
1 cup fruit cocktail
coffee with creamer

3 oz shrimp sauteed with celery and onions
1 1/2 cups of asparagus with pat of butter
water
coffee with milk

Echo, you will see the 159 again, and soon! I definitely add steamed veggies to meals on days that I'm hungrier - a big bowl of green beans helps me stay full and is very often a huge help for staying within my calorie range.

My confessions for today:

B: 2 morningstar sausage links, 1 piece whole wheat toast with 1 tbsp ICBINBL

L: 1/2 whole wheat tortilla with 1/4 cup light shredded cheese, 1 apple, 5 almonds

S: 1 100 calorie bag of popcorn, 1 banana

D: 1 cup spaghetti squash roasted in 2 tsps olive oil (it turned out so yummy - I baked it for an hour and then sauteed with basil and garlic for a few minutes), 1/2 cup brown rice

E: 30 minutes treadmill

You're welcome Hydra! aww Hayden such a nice name bless

Thanks Emily!! I really appreciate your support!! i think i just felt guilty yesterday and frustrated with myself. but you're soo right! i'm going to add steamed veggies to curb my hunger

--

so last night i was reading my book "winning by losing" by jillian michaels. that came in the post the other day, was so excited

i found out that i am a balanced oxidiser. i did the quiz in the book. which i suspected anyways. cause i crave both meats and breads. so each meal should have carbs and protein. which im happy about.
-

also i recalculated my BMR lol i know im obsessed haha!

i took my basic basal metabolic rate of 1524 (from the BMR calculator online) and multiplied it by 1.1 which jillian says is the sedentary physical activity.

which gives me a BMR of 1676. so if i wanted to maintain my weight, and i just sat on the couch all day. thats how many calories i would eat.

so in order for me to lose 2lbs a week. i need to basically burn 1000 calories and eat 1676 calories a day.
or eat 1200 calories and burn 476 calories a day.

jillian in her book mentions, how its a good idea to change your calorie intake from day to day

Quote:
Jillian Michaels:
"..it is important never to let your caloric intake drop below 1200 if you're a woman. restricting yourself any futher will quickly signal your metabolism to slow down. also dont go to long without eating. 4 hours wihtout food is a reasonable maximum. dont skip meals and always eat breakfast. this will keep your blood sugar stable and cravings under control.....

another way to prevent your metabolsim from slowing is to vary your intake from day to day throughout the week- the human body cannot slow metabolism to adjust to a reduced caloric intake if it isnt fixed from one day to the next......

....varying intake from day to day so that my metabolism is not able to adapt to a fixed reduction...."
also she mentioned the hip waist ratio., which i calculated this morning. and mine is 0.93 and she says the ideal waist to hip ratio is 0.80 for women.

measure your waist around your belly button.
then measure your hip which is a few inches below , the widest part.

then its waist divided by hip.

My plan for today. Eat 1200 calories today.

breakfast - eaten - 292 calories

lunch - eat no more than 454 calories: ate 506 calories. so for dinner can only eat 381 calories.

dinner - eat no more than 381 calories. - I ate exactly 381 calories! yeh me! :broc: with lots of calculations haha.

exercise plan: resistance training today with weights.

1. workout 1:
p90x shoulders and arms - done !

2. workout 2:
jillian michaels trouble zone
did not do. dont have enough energy to do this!

Drink 2 litres of water.
i drank 1.2 litres.

i met my target and ate only 1200 calories today i'm gonna do that for the rest of the week - since yesterday i had a high calorie day of 1926 calories. so my metabolism should be able to cope with it. then next week will cycle calorie intake from day to day.
if i stick with 1200 calories for the rest of the week, then monday i should see a loss of 0.6 lbs from my food restriction. and depending on how many calories i burn through exercise can bump that up to at least 1lb loss.

Hey everyone... I want to apologize for not being too active the last few days.. i have been in alot of well i wont say pain, but discomfort. II have had bowel problems... severe bloating and last night I woke at 3am after having a horrible time getting to sleep and when I went to the washroom,.. what I thought was diaherrea turned out to be blood... so I spent the remainder of the night etheir in the tub filed with hot water to ease the pain in my tummy, or curled up on the floor mat int he bathroom. I went to the doctor this morning and he ran a whole bunch of xrays and blood work. He is testing me for Didiverticulitis, Crohnes, and Celiacs Diseases. He is sure it is one of them. So I am now on two differant types of antibiotics, and then I have to go back to see him and have a colonoscopy scheduled to narrow it down to which inflammatory bowel disease it is. I am so good with my diet too because i know that white flour and lot of sugar bloat me badly. But with Halloween (cheesies) in the house on Saturday, and then left overs from a bake sale on Sunday... I did not eat MUCH of those things but ate too much for how my body reacts to it i guess... aghhhh today I am sticking to water and mild food.. broth, jello.. type things.. as I am even having a hard time eating those things. I am heading to work now as even though I am so exhausted laying down increases my discomfort so I may as well get paid to stand .. lol Sorry again for being MIA.. be back this evening

OMG Angela, you poor thing! please dont apolagise!

aww i hope you feel better soon. and that the tests go okay.
thanks for updating us. i hope its nothing serious and they are able to help you. that must have been very scary.
rest up and hope you get better real soon.

also how is your cold? if you're still taking high doses of vitamin C - maybe cut down on the vitamin C as high doses can cause stomach upset in some people.
