Ive got an appointment with the Eating Disorders person on Friday, will find out about what I should be eating. Right now, Im trying to stick to less than 30g of fat a day, according to fitday Im averaging about 20, but this Xenical woman told me I should be eating between 40 and 70g

I have never been so wet in my life. There is no way I'd have run that far in this weather if it hadn't been for the running club, but I did it! We went slow (had to stick together at the pace of the slowest person), but I made it round surprisingly easily, and even had enough energy for a spectacular pavement dive after about 12 miles...

I suspect I might have a hugely bruised leg in the morning though. I'm currently eating toast and drinking hot chocolate in an attempt to warm up, hopefully tucking myself up in bed will help too, although I'd like to be dry before I do that!

I know what you mean Helen that rain is horrendous, I went with my sister for a couple of miles walk this afternoon and it poured down the whole way round. Hours later I was still cold and ended up going to bed for an hour in an attempt to warm up. Hope you soon get warmed up!

Ouch Helen I hope your leg is OK. I ate so badly today. Not horrific but too much junk. We had an open house at school and we had these gummy lifesavers and hershey kisses with caramel. I can't refuse chocolate and caramel.

I couldn't get to the gym because I have a paper due tomorrow that I have to finish Tomorrow I'm wearing my running stuff to school so I can run after class but I'm leaving early so I don't run into the rat problem again.

RSG... I don't really like Hershey's chocolate, but for some reason I can't walk past a kiss, my favs are the mint one's that come out at Christmas....they are magnificent...don't beat yourself up by eating them today, you'll run it off tomorrow

Helen: Pavement diving sounds painful, was it done intentionally or not? Hope you're all warm and tucked up in bed now, hot choc sounds good.

Chris is a good friend of mine and we do so well with our weight loss when we are together. However now we are apart we need all the help we can get.

Went to the doctor today and I need to get my cholesterol down also need to lose weight big time.

Look forward to getting to know you all. I just need to figure out how to work stuff on here.

Hello Clydegirl - welcome and good one for de-lurking yourself!

The pavement thing was not at all intentional, believe me! This morning my "running muscles" are feeling fine, we went round really slow so I'm not actually that worn out, but the side of my leg is hurting from the bruises and grazes! Ah well, it could have been a lot worse - and none of my nice new running stuff got damaged - so I'll live to run another day.

I didn't work out this morning though, although I might do some weights or stretching tonight. I'm not setting foot outside the house to do anything if it's raining though, I still feel like I'm not quite dry!

I spent half of last night whooping my *** in the gym and half of it baking gingerbread men If I see another gingerbread ever again it will be too soon! However I still have 11 more that I need to make, which I'll either do on Sunday or next Wednesday. I'm packaging them up now and there's going to be a HUGE box full of them!

I know how Helen feels -

I was off to my fave Indian in Hammersmith and the police had stopped buses going up there - "Oh ok I thought, roadworks, I'll walk". Police had cordoned off most of where I wanted to get. I tried a sneaky walk thru countless estates (lovely!) but no. The restaurant was in the cordoned off bit.

So I squelched off to the cinema and found my two friends had been waiting there as they had come from Shepherd's Bush. I DID have an umberella in my bag but I had a handbag and carrier bag to carry and I hate that. So my fleece was wet thru and so was I!

Anyway we had a really lovely crunchy goats cheese tart and I had the raspberry belgian beer I liked before we settled down to see the film scanner darkly.

I did use my brolly when we got out but it was so windy it spent most of the time inside out - which is why I hate 'em!

Frus - oh nooooo - what are you going to do? Find another photographer? BTW, what do you need all the gingerbread men for? (Just seen the picture and they look yummy!)

Peacock - shame about the Indian but the goats cheese tart sounds gorgeous and I like those fruit flavoured beers as well (not that we get them very often up here). Did you ever find out why the Indian restaurant area had been cordoned off?

Helen - ouch, ouch, OUCH - I've been doing a lot of hard surface diving recently so I know how you feel. Hitting the deck is a real jolt to the system but I think possibly worse is that split second before when you realise your feet have gone out from underneath you. Its probably the shock that stopped you from warming up quickly.

Hello CG and welcome. There's a programme on TV here called Diet Doctors and the nerdy nutritionist woman says that oats are particularly good for lowering cholesterol and its probably right because even though I've got high blood pressure I do have a very low cholesterol level and I eat porridge most days for brekkie. What sort of diet are you following?????

Chris - I've changed a lot since that photo - in fact its still on here somewhere from before when I had a slightly different ID. Oooopppps - just found it its the avatar on my previous ID from before Suzanne merged them. I think that picture is about 6 or 7 years old. I wonder what I weighed when I posted that thread - I do sound depressed. LOL @ my reason no. 10 though!!!!!!

Just got side tracked reading some of the 2001 threads - I wonder what happened to all those people. All thats left of the people posting at that time is Veggie, Chris and me.

Its been pouring with rain here as well. Its a pain in the because the Moor where I walk the dogs is a lowland raised peat bog so it LOVES rain! The peat soaks up the water like tissue paper and then turns in to a sort of dense jelly but it looks normal, except it raises up a bit, but when you tread on it you just sink down and down (depending on the amount of rain) this morning I was up to my knees in it before my feet hit a firmish surface! Scary. I'm hoping it won't rain any more so the water level will go down and I can get a decent walk in before the weekend.

Right now I am resisting the urge to go and bang my head against the wall. However, going to university with creative types, and having a particularly cool creative/photographer on placement here with us last year - I have just e-mailed him to ask if he wants to make a wedge with free champagne thrown in!

What do you mean 'favours'???? To give kids at Halloween? that - our local kids are having to make do with Quality Street. I tried fruit a few years ago (I thought it was the healthy option) but their little faces were SO disappointed.
