  • Oh and anyone who WAS reading my blog, it's back!
  • Thank goodness we are all a bunch of sweeties (see below, good grief!!)

  • Ooh piccys Olympic Stadium and houseboats. Slightly better than my weekend sniffling.
  • Super pics Jen and YP... you both look smashing after that run....sounds like a fun weekend for all.... Kylie, sounds like you're doing good...hope your shopping trolley move went ok.

Sarah, get that hip checked out my woman...

Veg, get some lemsip and feel better soon

    Everyone esle, hi

It's starting to rain here, will continue through tomorrow so after curves they'll be me and two soggy doggies tomorrow morning...better dg the raincoat out.

    Have a good one all.
  • Very very well done to you Runners on here... absolutely amazing!
  • I just went to dinner with friends and I got talked into running the Boston half marathon next year. My friend and I are both going to be 40 in January so we decided that we would do it before we get too old!!!

He wants us to have t-shirts that say 40 and available....we'll see
  • Go for it!
  • My legs feel a lot better so I'll be trying running club. I'm actually quite excited about it! I went for a swim this morning, because I feel so lazy after not exercising for 2 days.

And even better, Up and Running are giving a 10% discount to members of my gym. (I just wish I'd known that before I bought my last pile of stuff from there the other week...)

My weight is up a bit (I thought it was) so I'm trying to have a good 2 weeks to get it back down to 11 stone before the end of the month.
  • Yay for happy legs!

My legs are happy, I took them kickboxing last night, but the rest of me is SO TIRED I haven't felt like this in a long time, but I used to feel this tired all the time, so at least I'm sure it will go away! I want an early night tonight but we are entertaining I need to tidy up when I get home It looks like a bomb went off in my Amsterdam bag!

I got a stupid e-mail yesterday which has upset me a bit. A friend of mine, who I've known since I was 9, was invited to the wedding, I gave him 8 months notice of the date. He told me he was working on that day. Well the invites went out about 6 weeks ago, and he didn't reply, then I got an e-mail from him yesterday that says he is working in Liverpool, but will finish at 3.30 and drive down to London to come and "dance till dawn". There's so many things wrong with this!!!! First of all, he'll not only miss the ceremony, but the dinner as well, then there's the whole thing about him probably arriving in the middle of dinner, in the middle of the speeches or some other stupid time. DF is worried he'll come in and start being loud and making a fuss (I'm not so sure that he will). THEN he wants to "dance till dawn" somewhere AFTER the party..... ****-o, if you can't get down here for the WHOLE THING I'm not extending it just for YOU! IT'S MY WEDDING NIGHT, THE ONLY DANCING TILL DAWN I'LL BE DOING WILL BE HORIZONTAL!

It's just the last straw in a long line of stuff, like "Oh I haven't seen you in ages, let's meet up." Then I suggest a date and he can't do it, but he never re-arranges. Or expects me to drop everything because he's "In town". And when I'm in his town he's "ill" or something. I think I only overlooked his stupid flakey-ness for so long because he's got a really whacky personality, he's really arty and fun, but now I just don't care for his pathetic little, "Oh all your work projects are like short stories, are you keeping a diary..." NO I'm not writing about my work in stupid little books just because you think I should. Although I am going to start a scrap-book with my races in.

  • Has he got a problem with you getting married? Some people just don't like weddings.
  • I don't think he has a problem with me getting married, although he isn't married himself, and I know he's been to plenty of other people's weddings

  • 2frus I would not invite him to anything else. Som epeople never get embarrased by letting you down or having their own ideas of when they SHOULD come. They need hitting with a big stick!

Not been good today. All the fault of the Departmental Frenchman who decided I needed cheering up with a gorgeous French chocolate cake! So moreish and so wrong but soooo delish!
  • Feel free to post anywhere homebloom I don't go in the chat room haven't been in for years.

I'm done in. Been walkies up a big hill. I say 'walkies' but the dog wouldn't come.
  • I had fun with the shopping trolley, one casualty of the move so far, my red cow lost its horn

I'm off to Primarni today for socks! I'm sure I have a sock monster in my old house, hopefully he stays there. And to look for a replacement for the cow

I'm eating too much sugar It's either that or drink red wine I'm gonna have to watch it!
