Just keeping at it is the secret to success in this game. It's a long haul and will have ups and downs, but if you can keep going through them all, then you WILL get there!
TOTM is never fun, Lozz. I usually want to eat EVERYTHING in sight and really have to fight to avoid it. Try going low carb in the run up - I've found that helps me. I can't tell when mine come anymore as I'm going through menopause already and only get about 4 a year - I feel ridiculously bloated at the moment so maybe it's time again. Or I AM pregnant
And don't worry there's no danger of lazy little me pushing too hard. I'll get there when I get there. Slow and steady.....(I just want to stop paying, lol)
It's typical. AF has arrived, and whilst I'm not in much pain, I totally flipped out at the man thing this morning. URGH!! I feel so bad!! I just started yelling at him for no real reason bless his heart. After apologising profusely, I sent him out to his fave fishing shop for the afternoon. so he can spend whats left of his wages and get away from nasty me for a few hours lol.
Been on the Wii for 20 mins so far today, will do some more later on and I've got chilli to look forward to for dinner tonight. That's something I suppose lol
Yep, slow and steady... that's for me. I threw some WW bread away yesterday as it was bl**dy awful. I don't know what was in it, but it tasted like sweetener or something. I think I bought every WW product imaginable last time I did the plan, but now I'm going it alone and counting calories, so bought a small granary loaf from the supermarket bakery. Much nicer and in moderation I'm sure it will be fine.
Hope your man has fully recovered when he returns from his fishing shop spree. Hope he doesn't buy any maggots!
Agh yeah any diet bread is terrible chocmonster! So not worth it...
Well I was at an interview yesterday (which went well!) but it was a 5-6 hour journey each way (which we weren't expecting.. it was only supposed to take 3 and a half?!?) and as a result I ate mainly fast food and high sugar high fat highly processed everything which is so unlike me and my normal foods! Oh well back on the horse today right?
I'm going to be house sitting for my friend in a couple weeks so will have some time to myself for about two weeks.. I'm thinking about giving the 17 day diet a shot. Anyone else tried that? It's not a fad diet despite what that title makes it sound like. I've ordered the book anyway cos it looks interesting and I fancy giving following some sort of strict plan a go tbh.

Good news re your interview. I've not tried the 17 day diet, but good luck with it if you try it. I ate out at lunchtime and had a carvery, so back on the horse for me too tomorrow
I'm so far off the horse right now. Finally getting to the part where I begin to be happy without I look and feel, and all motivation to keep it up is GONE. Boooooooo. I will be back and back on the horse very soon!
Oh dear, looks like most of us are not having a great week - I actually ate at McDonald's - certainly not gluten free!
One thing I like to think to get myself in the right mindset to stick with my plan is 'No one will change for you. You are the only person who can alter your future.' This always strikes a chord with me, probably because it's so true! What do you guys do to try and get back on track?
I'm not having a good week either. Definitely overate yesterday. :-( Haven't exercised as much as I would have liked (although I've only had two 'off' days, so maybe I'm judging myself a bit harshly)
I'm also starting to get a bit obsessive and wanting to LOSE WEIGHT FAST - which my approach does NOT necessarily deliver.
Now you lot - BACK ON THE HORSEY!!! You know that if you don't get back in the saddle quickly, it'll all fall apart. Even if you just bob along and don't break into a canter, just being on it will remind you to stay on the right track.
There are times when we all need a break - lord knows I've had a few over the last year or so - but the important thing is to keep at it, even if it's just to maintain. Remember this has to be a lifestyle change as much as anything. You know it ladies
Sorry if that sounded a little preachy - not meant to be - just giving my fellow challengees a friendly kick up the b*m Not that this weather helps - I sooooo want to munch carbs! Yikes.
Now...it's Friday...it's party time....altogether now...I will be strong, I will be strong....or does this only apply to me
Brilliant Ellie. That's why I joined this thread to get a kick up the bum and stay motivated. Back on it today. Had my cereal this morning and then just had a ham salad sandwich for lunch. Not decided what's for tea yet.
We will all be strong!!!
It has been a rocky week for us all by the looks of it. Weigh in tomorrow... not looking forward to it, coz AF is messing me around so much!
I'm just plodding along at the moment, being as good as I can, but I did have to have a bite of man things ham and mayo mini french stick yesterday. ONLY 1 BITE!! But my GOD! IT WAS GOOD!!!
Other than that, my appetite has been naff, and I know i'm not having enough cals. But, I just can't stomach much at the moment. I'll have brekkie and then nothing until dinner @ 5pm-ish. I know it's bad, but that's just the way I am when AF comes to visit.
Hoping she'll bog off sooner rather than later lol
I hereby promise to be back and responding to all your messages etc next week. I started to crawl back on the horse today, but need another leg up tomorrow and sunday to be back at it with a gallop on Monday. Haven't been on the scales for a few days, but got on them this eve, granted with wet hair from the pool and not first thing in the morning like my normal weigh ins, BUT I didn't like what I saw at all. I don't know how I expected I could cheat all week and it be OK, but half of me couldn't help hoping!
Sorry for being crap this week, I will be back with a bang on Monday! Got a mad weekend of preparing for a big presentation in uni on Monday, then things chill out for a week or so, whoop!
Been ill with a stinking cold this week. Hooray for the weekend!
Just got my trusty tape measure out and I've lost an inch on my hips, waist, bust, thighs and arms in 11 days. This is only the second time I have measured myself since I started, but nice to see an improvement even if it only 1 inch
