Aw that's a shame about the job, I was going to ask earlier, but I didn't wanna mention it just in case. Strange that Mel hasn't been around, I hope she's ok, she was doing so well.

I just saw on the bbc site that there have been mini tornados not far from here, scary stuff, it was very windy and noisy in the night. Oh, just incase you didn't know Morrissions is doing 10 muller lights for £2, bargain hehe.

I want to set myself a challenge for Christmas, I don't want it to be in terms of weight lost, because I always seem to fail them, any ideas?

Some quick suggestions before I hurry off...
...down 1 dress size (or 2!) by xmas
...walking / cycling (or other exercise) for 30 mins longer (or by distance)
...keep a "star chart" for every time you don't give in to the urge to eat something off plan + set a star target to aim for!
...aim for an achievable BMI
...aim to be another 1 or 2 notches in on your belt
...aim to fit into that perfect Christmas outfit!
Hope one of these helps ... must rush off now...will visit longer after wi tomorrow night...love ff x

Hey all,
Well, my night has been ok, had a fritatta with WW chips and 2 teacakes, so that not too bad. TOM is hitting me hard this month, so I hope with loosing all this liquid I will have a loss on Thursday. But I doubt it after the weekend I had.

FF, great ideas there, I've set myself a goal for Xmas, but so far I'm not even close, I actually gained 2lb...grrrrrr. But oh well...I think trying to fit in an outfit that you can just about fit in now but not be abled to wear it all day is a good goal. I have soooo many outfits like that and it's a great fealing when you can finally wear them more than 2 hours without having the urge to rip them off lol....

Hiya Girls,

Just thought I'd pop by and post a little, thanks for the ideas on the motivation, I'm thinking along the lines of everytime I resist a naughty I get a star (I wouldn't have got one last night lol).

Have got half way back on track, I am trying harder, but I'm nowhere near there yet lol, I'm off to the gym tonight for an aerobics class so that should give me a bit more motivation. Feeling very tired right now, mainly because of coming back to work and having to drag my bum out of bed in the morning lol.

The mouse is still around, but I'm coping fine, going to keep it that way. Its my hubbys birthday in a couple of weeks so I'm busy thinking up fun and cheap ideas for him. Hubbys bike got written off so we're waiting on an insurance claim, we're pretty gutted because we won't be able to afford to replace it *sigh*

Right, time to file some paperwork and then home, get changed quickly and off to the gym

Hi all,
WI for me tonight - lost 1.5 lbs feeling very chuffed especially cos I went out for 2 meals this week. My mum and my mother in law have their birthdays one after the other on 24th and 25th.

Hey Moonchild - you've mentioned your fritatta before - what's the recipe? And I'm sure you'll get into those outfits by Christmas - it's 13 weeks exactly till Xmas - if we can all manage just 1 pound a week between now and then we will have lost nearly a stone each and another dress size down! Now that's worth trying for!!!!

Hi Crazy Helen - we all have to give into the naughties every now and then - I know I do Good for you doing the aerobics class - hope you enjoyed it. I keep promising myself I will go but haven't got round to it yet. I keep telling myself that I don't have the time - but the truth is I don't have the motivation/energy. Instead of sitting on the sofa in the evening with the laptop I should go to the gym. I'm so sorry about the bike. Hope you come up with some good ideas for hubby's birthday.

By the way - has anyone tried any of the aerobics-type DVDs/videos? Are there any that anyone would particularly recommend? I was looking at Davina's power of 3 and there was one that was called something like belly-dancersize

Hope everyone has a good week - love ff x

p.s. our usual SW consultant was on holiday this week and we had a stand in - she forgot to mention the password and I didn't think to ask till I got home. Can't text my consultant while she's on holiday - could anyone please oblige with the password? Cheers ff x

Last weeks password will work for this week. Please don't post the password on the forum as sw is a business and they don't like forums posting the password.

Hi everyone! I came across this forum when looking where to buy slimming world directorys and think is great!

I lost 2 stone 5lbs on SW last year for my 21st birthday party, and of course, its crept back on and more! So i'm starting again however I've just graduated and because im only working part time I can't afford to go to the class! But this seems to be a great substitue! Everyone is doing well too!

My mum is starting rosemary conely and although i think its a great diet and a great idea, i dont think i can eat that way. Its all about reduucing portion size as well as healthy meals. It made me realise how good SW is and how much choice you have. So fingers crossed.

Just thought i'd introduce myself anyway!!
xx

Hi Bex and welcome to the forum, I know what you mean about the Rosemary Conely diet my mum did it but I couldnt lose weight on it, been doing great on slimming world though.

Well done FF! That's excellent, I'm really pleased for you

I went to aerobics last night and loved it, it's so much fun, our instructor pushes us really hard but it's worth it. I used to use some dvds for exercise I can't remember which ones but for me they didn't keep me motivated, it was too easy not to do it. I find paying for the gym keeps me going because I really struggle to pay the gym costs each month, but everyone is different, I think you have to find what's best for you.

I had a yummy dinner last night, Chris made me a tasty quorn bolognaise, mmmm yummy, we have the leftovers for dinner tonight. I also have pasta for lunch and will put some pesto with it. I'm becoming a green day fiend!

hi all, sorry, haven't posted all day, was really busy this morning at work and i went home at 11 cause I was feeling absolutely rotten. been having cramps since sunday and today I felt really naucious...brrrr...didn't follow my diet either. went to inlaws last night, had spagetthi bolognese with tons of garlic bread....really dreading the WI tomorrow.....I really need to get myself together.

Bex, welcome to the club, I'm sure you will find lots of ideas here.

The recipe for the fritatta is dead easy, you can vary it in different ways. Just use some left over pasta and fry it in frylight for a couple of mins. mix 3 eggs, some milk and some fromage frais and poor over the eggs and let it set until the bottom is a bit brown. then sprinkle chease over it and put it under the grill until the cheese is golden...yummy. I also used potatoes instead of pasta and on monday I put jalapenos on top. Usually spice it with salt, pepper, paprika and curry.....just experiment. It's great fresh, or the next day at work, hot or cold.

Well, this week is messed up diet wise but I need to kick myself and get back on track. Glad when TOM is gone and I can go back to the boxing.

Going to bed soon, speak to u all tomorrow. Oh FF well done on the loss!!!!!

Hi all, had a hectic day today but from somewhere or other I found the strength to refuse a fish and chip lunch!!!!! I thought about next weeks weigh in and said no thank you and went for a baked spud with baked beans instead. The SW force was strong in me today

Hi Bex, hope you enjoy hanging out here, and hope you lose as much weight as you want to with SW. I don't fancy the RC diet myself but I know someone who has lost 3.5 stone and swears that it's the best diet ever!

CrazyHelen, I know what you mean re the motivation, I keep saying to myself that I really must book to do the aerobics class - but my hand never reaches the phone I bought a dvd yesterday - but it's just sitting on my dvd shelf and I haven't even taken the wrapper off it

Moonchild, sorry you're feeling poorly I hate having cramps. The garlic bread sounds yummy - but I know what you mean re the weigh in - it's funny, sometimes thinking about that works to stop me eating (like today) and sometimes it doesn't! Anyway...thanks so much for the fritatta recipe - it sounds sooooooo yummy - I'll have a go at the weekend - I'll try it both ways with pasta and one with potato and see which I prefer. By the way I didn't know you did boxing ... is it kick boxing you do? or boxercise?

Night all, hope we all have a good day tomorrow,
Love ff x

Sorry you're not feeling well MC, hope you're better soon.

FF you will get there with exercise, its just getting into the right mindset, I really didn't feel like going on Tuesday, but then when I got there I really enjoyed it and am so glad that I did, having said that my stomach muscles are really sore still, my instructor loves to make us to sit ups lol.

I maintained this week, not really happy about it, but I only have myself to blame, not enough exercise and too much bad food. When will I learn? I'm beating myself up about it a bit to try and motivate myself, its so silly because I want to lose, but chocolate and garlic bread are just so tasty lol. Time to be tough on myself and to eat healthily and exercise more.

I booked a trip to Russia yesterday (I visit an orphanage out there), the flights are booked for 26th April next year, and I'm determind to be at target by then, I need to lose an average of 2 pound a week, if I manage it I'll have got to my target weight in almost exactly two years (including a few breaks). I am so determinded to be at target by then because I used to live out there and I was really slim, and ever since I left I piled the pounds on, I hate it when I'm there and people look at me and say that I've put weight on, and although when I was out there this year people were saying how much I'd lost I want to lose more. I'm losing weight for myself, but I guess what other people think is still a big pushing point for me. It was a trip to Russia that made me decide to lose weight in the first place.

Anyhow enough of my waffling, I have my target, I decided not to set a target for Christmas, and just to go for the big one of April. I can do this!!!

Hey ladies,
Feeling much better today, thank god...couldnt really have felt much worse lol. I've decided to start afresh tomorrow, as my week is already messed up. Got my dreaded WI tonight and will have a nice unhealthy dinner afterwards.....just to get it out of my system....and then start from scratch tomorrow. No excuses....13 weeks to xmas, 1 stone off minimum, hopefully closer to two.

FF well done with the willpower, may the force be with you lol.....I'm doing boxercise, but not in the gym, but in our community center...two coppers are the coaches. And they are evil! But it is a great workout, and my other half is enjoying it as well.

Helen, sorry that u didnt loose this week, but I'm sure u will be better next week. Be strong....unlike me lol...

I love those final blowout meals, hehe! I'm doing ok today, I'm diarying everything I eat, that keeps me on track. My wedding and engagement rings have been really lose recently, I need one of those little things that makes them tighter, and then when I'm at target I can get them made smaller. Its a nice state to be in but not something I considered before losing weight.

MC I think we should make a pact to stick OP till Christmas, then we can get through Christmas day and really enjoy the naughties.

Hi folks,
Hope you've had a good day.
I had no trouble sticking to the diet today...was good all day cos I was taking my mum out for a meal tonight. I was relatively good - ordered a warm chicken salad. Had a couple of bites of salad and then spotted something black with antennae and lot of logs crawling from under a lettuce leaf!!!!! I nearly barfed Needless to say - I didn't have anything else to eat. I still feel queasy - keep wondering if it had a mate and I already ate it...I wonder how many sins in a millipede? Will it be on sins on line do you think?
Love ff x
