Welcome to FF, good to have more people posting around here.
I've decided when I'm off work for 2 weeks I'm going to experiment with MCs cooking ideas, we're away for a week, but I should have more time to cook during the week I have at home, I need to get more adventurous in my cooking.
Had a lovely meal last night, and I can honestly say I tried my best. For my starter I had marinaded tomatoes which was yummy, and I really enjoyed them, I was really proud of myself for staying away from the brushetta or the garlic bread. Main course I had spinich and ricotta cannaloni, I know that wasn't 100% great but it was the best thing I could find, and the only one that came with a tomato based sauce, yes, I resisted pizza which is nothing short of a miracle. Everyone else had puddings but I for once refused, and apart from one diet coke I stuck to iced water all night. A great evening, lovely to see my parents and I don't feel guilty for unhealthy eating. Hubby is taking me out on Saturday night, and I don't know where we're going so I'll have to do my best then too.
Took my car to have my puncture checked on my way home last night, and was gutted to be told that because the puncture was in the same place as a previous repair they couldn't repair it, they hadn't got my tyre in stock but I booked it in for Friday, and they'll do its MOT at the same time. I asked how much the tyre would cost and was told £146 because the tyres are sports low profile tyres *sigh* gave the guy the big puppy eyes and sighed, and managed to get it down to £130.
Doing a big mail out at work today, I've been put in charge of those things as our admin is leaving, although I'm not admin, I hate mail out it bores me senseless.
Oh, and I lost 2 pounds, so I'm very pleased with myself, I'd not had the best week so I'm really happy with that. Off to BLT tonight.
How are you guys doing? MC I'm sure you'll be fine, and remember its not your fault you're bloated so if you don't see movement then don't get too down about it.
Oh well done on your loss Helen, 2lb is great!!! And good stuff that you enjoyed yourself last night and still stayed on the plan...BRAVO!!!! I wish I had that willpower sometimes lol.
Real shame about the tire tho....but well, you've managed to get him down a bit, so thats a plus.....
I'm on red today, so I'm going to make some Burgers tonight. Not going to make chips, cause the beef patties are quiet big, so that should fill us up.
Really hoping for 3lb off this week, cause if I get another 3 off next week, I'm down to 17st on my Birthday....
How did everyone else get on at WI yesterday? I went to BLT last night, it was a new instructor, but she was really good and I liked her music style which was garage instead of dance, I didn't think I'm worked too hard but I'm aching loads today so she must have put us through it, maybe I'm getting fitter so I don't notice it at the time.
Got back from the gym and Chris had cooked me a really tasty meal which wasn't too high on the syns but then we drank a bottle of wine between us, ooops!
Hey ladies,
Unbelievable but true, I've lost 2lb yesterday....hooraayyyyy!!!! I was sooooo pleased. Seems that I am back on track and I only got 4lb to loose to hit 17st.
Going back to boxercise next week, so if I will be really good I just might make my minigoal. Working all weekend, so I won't be having fancy lunches, which is good on the syn side of things. The downside is that I'm home from Tuesday to Sunday, so that might mean unneccessary picking. Need to prep looooooooaaaads of syn free picky stuff.
I tried on a pair of trousers that I could barely close a month ago, and they closed without trouble, yay. And a size 18 shirt, which made me look like a sausage fits as well, hooraay!
So I'm in a really good mood today, and I hope it carries through the day...
Well done Helen on the workout, for me it's the other way around...I'm in complete pain during the workout, but I'm not sore anymore afterwards...well next week I probably will.
Had Burgers last night for dinner and a nice (well needed) glas of wine.
Hi all,
Hope you are having a good weekend. I've had a busy one so far...My O/H and I went to Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight this morning - it's where we first met I wore a new dress...me...in a dress...Elvi size 1 (16-18) I felt positively elegant!! We had a lovely lunch there (green day for me so baked potato and cottage cheese Then, in the afternoon I went to the hair dressers and had a complete restyle - had the last of my curly perm cut out and had a sleek and elegant bob done instead - I was worried but I needn't have been - I love it! Then I came home and attacked my wardrobe. What I mean is, I tipped every single item of clothing out if it onto my bed and tried everything on. I had clothes in every size from 26 to 16 (the 16s and 18s were only bought recently). Now I have only 16, 18, and a few small 20s...the Sally Army has the rest I feel so chuffed with myself. And what precipitated this madness?...Why did I have my hair chopped and decimate my wardrobe? I got on the scales this am (I always take a sneaky peak on Saturday to see how things are going) and as of this morning I have lost 5 stone
FF, ooohhhh sounds like you are having one great weekend....wow. Congratulations on the loss and the clothes washout.....Can't wait to do that as well, but so far, all my 'bigger' cloths still fit me as well...not complaining, just means I got more clothes to wear lol.
It's great to have such a boost when stepping on the scales. I had it on Thursday, was in a real ratty mood all week and when I stepped on the scales and the 2lb were off, that was absolutely fantastic.
Was working yesterday, so didn't do any picking. Had a solero smoothy (5syns) for desert, so thats not too bad. Working again today, made my fritatta for lunch today, so that should fill me up. Going to have a chicken stirfy tonight. Was really tempted to have a chippy last night, cause I couldnt be bothered cooking, but I resisted and just had my chicken and a baked potato...phewww.....
Thanks Moonchild. Excellent news re the 2lbs off I've not tried the solero smoothies - they sound yummy tho'. Well done on resisting the take-away - that's a tough one to resist!! I'm a baked potato addict since starting this diet - have several per week - I miss having butter on my spud, do you? I descovered recently "Butter Buds" from Lakeland - it's a powder that is made of de-fatted butter - I checked them out on SW web and they were 1 syn each sachet - 1 sachet is enough for my spud and makes me not miss the butter. I don't use them all the time - cos I love cottage cheese or baked beans, but sometimes I just hanker for a buttered spud
Right - think after all that talk I'll go and have some breakfast and then I think some retail therapy in the Trafford Centre. Sorry you've got to work over the weekend Moonchild. Hope you have a good day - I'll think of you when I have my treat - Starbucks skinny latte - naughty but delicious Love ff x
Hey guys just checkin in quickly - it's been a crazy couple days and next week will also be manic. My WI was a little disappointing as I was only down a pound but if I think about it I am 10lbs down from where I was a month ago!
Hey Mel, better a pound down, than a pound on, so don't be too dissappointed....steady, steady you are loosing the weight.....don't let that throw you off....well I'm off home. Have a good evening girls xxx
Sorry I haven't been around to post much this weekend, its been really busy, and my internet at home was really slow. Speaking of internet did you get sky sorted yet Moonchild?
I had a fun weekend, we went out on Friday night, Chris took me to a place called Myo which is an eat as much as you like buffet which serves Chinese, Indian, Mediteranian and Thai, it's very tasty, I stuck to diet coke all night, and although i ddin't eat 100% according to plan I did well, I managed to continue it as a green day, and didn't have too many extra syns. Saturday morning I went to a BLT class (yes I am addicted ) and then we went into town where I bought myself some new tracksuit bottoms, and a new top.
Oh, I got a electric food steamer from work on Friday for £2.50! I unwrapped it all on Saturday morning and made myself some tasty rice and vegs, I quite liked it. My Mum cooks chicken in hers and its well tasty.
