  • Urgh I hate TOM, I have managed to eat my days syns already today lol and I've not really been that naughty! I'm firmly at 15 syns and determined to stay there for the rest of the day.

Welcome to the thread and to Slimming World, I understand what you mean about the whole seeing it as a lifetime thing, I am exactly the same.

Peacock I hope your things arrive soon, I'm loving Slimming World, I can't believe I've stuck to it so well. I went to aerobics last night, it wasn't BLT (which I prefer), but it was still a good class. I'm thinking I'm going to try energise and tone tonight, it looks like fun, and it's early which means I can eat dinner afterwards.

Right gotta go, I'm not in the office much coming up to Christmas. Have a good day!
  • oh I know!! :D
    thanks for the welcome

oh I KNOW that 1 or 2 pounds is a sensible weight loss (I have some little hand weights that are 3 pounds each and MAN I know when I have lifted them a few times)!! but sometimes, esp after a time of no movement, you just want a quick loss to get the motivation kicked in, you know??

I am from Scotland originally (Stenhousemuir) but live in Ruislip now (west London).

I will get my profile sorted soon.

    How is everyone today?
  • Ooh another West Londoner (I know, you will always be Scottish!).

Checked this morning - still no postal stuff from SW.

Have you tried making some soup? That is quite good at getting one kickstarted (as long as you don't put lashings of cream in!).
  • I'm fed up, I maintained, I know maintaining is better than putting on but I tried so hard and worked out loads I'm really dissapointed. It'll be a hard weekend for food too, staff Christmas meal on Friday night and then we're away for the weekend. At least most of the Christmas stuff with be over and done with then.

Bums and tums tonight, I'm becoming very flexible lol!
  • Hi all, sorry I havent posted in a while, but I was fed up. Helen, well done on the 5lb loss last week thats great, so don't be sad that you maintained.....

Anyway, I've gained 2 lb last week, after loosing 4 the week before. And I have been good, soooo good. I was well peed off, and completely fell off the bandwagon...Had all the crazy foods under the sun since last thursday, chinese, indian, mcdonalds, kfc, you name them....well, needless to say that I'm definetely not going to my WI tonight lol. I hat a wee xmas dinner last night and have another on Saturday. Then another week and I'm off to Germany. So I will be good next week, then go off to Germany and be naughty and then have a fresh start after the xmas......grrrrr I'm well annoyed with myself....
  • Welcome back MC, sorry that you put that weight on, maybe it's fluid retention or something? It's good to have you back with us, I missed you.

I haven't got time to post more now, but wanted to welcome you back.
  • I had a total blow out over the weekend, but I knew what I was doing, and I don't feel guilty because I loved every minute of it! I'm back OP now and exercising still.

I bought some new scales over the weekend, I'd been using Boots own brand electronic scales but they were very random and unpredictable. I picked up some scales from ASDA, they calculate your body fat as well as your weight. They seem really good. They add an extra 3 pounds to my weight over what my other scales were saying, but they seem more stable so 3 pounds extra doens't bother me too much, I'd rather have reliable scales.

The run up to Christmas should be ok for me eating, I've not got too many social events on and I've got the time to exercise.

How is everyone? Peacock did your things arrive?
  • Hey I maintained again this week. I'm feeling really unmotivated at the moment, it's really hard not to compare my own weight loss to my friends. They are losing weight very fast, but I found out that is because they are eating something like 500 calories a day. Which I know is stupid and I am not going to do that myself. But it's really hard not to think about it.
  • Still not received the SW stuff - apparnelty the courier or whoever has trouble sending it????!! I have left instructions and Boots, Next, Debenhams, Laura Ashley have had not problems sending stuff.
  • Hi I haven't been able to get the SW password this week. I am not asking for the password. But, I would just like to know if anyone knows the syn values of Weight Watcher's carrot and swede mash, Weight Watcher's ratatouille and Asda's Sushi 'Fish pack' (It is the larger package)?
  • Hi Girls, how are you? I've been too busy to post much this last couple of weeks. I lost a pound this week so I'm pretty chuffed with the whole Christmas party things going on.

    How is everyone?
  • Well done crazy helen! I am not used to so much partying and my trousers are protesting! I kept having to check out the label as I thought I had got size 16 instead of 18's on! Sadly no. I have obviously put the old poundage on!!

Never mind I now have my SW stuff. It is for 4 weeks so I hope it counts from when i actually received the stuff - which was Tuesday. I am happy that Quorn stuff is a freefood as I love the sausages anyway.

This is the first Christmas I have been in a Happy mood on the day sleading up to it. Most people int he shops so far seem quite chilled too!
  • I told the SW lady my stuff has come and she will be rigning me the Thrusday after Christmas Day for a chat and no doubt to find out how much I have indulged!

    Have a great Christmas everybody!
  • My sister has a sw weigh in on that day I don't think she's going...
  • I really enjoyed Christmas and ate like a pig lol. I? ve put on 4 pounds which is better than I expected. Easing my way back in now. Glad to hear your stuff arrived Peacock.
