  • That's excellent Moonchild, you're steadily losing which is great. I bet you're excited about your cats, that's really good news. I'm looking forward to a weekend of relaxing and hanging out with friends too, no work this weekend yay!

My Russian friends got their visas through so they'll be arriving at my Mums on Sunday, I can't wait to see them
  • Sounds like you got a lovely weekend ahead of you as well. I really can't wait to have my cats back, it's been so long.

I think I'm over my cravings now, so I'm off to a fresh start today.
  • Ah - just realised why your cats were away from you for that long. Of course they have been in quarantine! Hope they forgive you (cats can sulk for England). Occasionally after a holiday one of ours would march off with her nose in the air but when we had the two and they looked after by my very over indulgent grandma they would try to pretend they hadn't been overfed. They could not hold their pot bellies in for long!!!!!
  • Lol Peacock, yeh I know, I'll probably get the evil looks for a while....

Well all, I'm off for my 2 week holidays......I speak to you when I get back, hopefully at least 4lb lighter.
  • Hi again all. Only been doing this SW strictly for few days but it makes me feel so much better in myself - more energy etc - that I am determined to stick it out. Is so nice to have this forum to vent, celebrate, chat, share ideas etc! Am doing my weekly weigh in every monday, have got an exercise bike as can't go cycling with this horrific weather! Hope everyone is doing well on the dietr and no-one is flooded!
  • Hi all,
just in an ecafe, told u i would write. started boxercise yesterday, and pretty sore today lol.
Determined, well done, glad you can stick to it. Have u weight urself yet? Well until next time, hang in there xxx
  • Glad you're making the most of your time off, boxercise sounds like good fun, I kind of fancy that myself. I've been really busy this week which has done wonders for my eating (I'm too busy to snack), but has been bad for my water intake (I forget to drink as much as I should). My husband and I are laying a laminate floor down through the living room, which is something like 28 square metres in size. Its good fun, but doing it in the evening, and working full time too is pretty tiring, I enjoy it though.

My Russian friend made it over so I've seen them a couple of times, and I'll be spending Friday to Monday with them, good fun time.
  • Made it!
    Hi all,

Hope you're all well - had weigh in tonight and lost the magic llb which now means a total loss of 4 stone - catch my breath. It's been a weird week - a few people have commented on my weight loss and a pair of tight 3/4 pants actually gets over my bum and fastens lol.

But i still see the BIG me in the mirror and still pick up the biggest sized clothes - I mean I still need to lose alot more and I'm determined to get there - however long it takes - even tho I'm celebrating with a lovely slice of toast and butter! I guess some habits don't go away!

So good luck everyone - we can do it - whether those loses are large or small - they're losses!!
  • Well done Bubbly, you're doing really well.

I'm amazingly 3 pounds down this week, even though I wasn't as good as I should have been, and my only exercise was from decorating, so I'm pretty pleased.

I'm looking forward to a good weekend, going to my parents place tomorrow to see my Russian friends, and spending four days there. We're going to Warwick Castle on Saturday, and having various meals out (yes more eating hehe). I am really looking forward to seeing them.

The living room walls are celing are now painted, and we've done about half of the floor, we're hoping to get it done tonight before the weekend, it's going to be hard work though.

Hope you're all doing ok, I should have more time to post in a couple of weeks.
  • Great weekend, but I ate and drank so much I'm just looking to maintain this week if I'm lucky. At least my social events are all out of the way in one go so I can get to working hard.

    How is everyone?
  • I stayed the same this week, and although obviously I'd have liked to lose I am pretty happy as I know I didn't stick to my plan at all. How did you all get on?
  • Catching Up!
    Hiya

hope everyones Ok - I guess you can tell its summer and the sun's actually out -hopefully we're all busy doing things and not completely going off the rails.

I stayed the same last week as well crazy and this week i'm hoping - touching naything wood- to at least do the same - We've just had a weekend away at a friends birthday - and there was lots of alcohol - fish 'n' chips to die for and ice cream - whoops!

Still i really enjoyed it so i'll go with the flow - i do finally now realise that actually I'm not on a diet -this is life - so you have to go with things and don'tdeny anything - just have it in moderation!

So next weigh in Wed night ...we'll see - i'll keep you posted!
  • Hiya Bubbly,

Its funny how we both stayed the same last week. I'm back into the swing of things, I think I've chased off the mouse (see the August thread), and I'm eating well. Just need to get the exercise sorted.

I know what you mean about it not feeling like a diet but like a way of life, that's why I love Slimming World. Its the first time I've tried to lose weight and actually stuck to it for a long period of time, and enjoyed it.

On Saturday Chris and I went to Nandos for lunch, I love Nandos food. And I managed to stick to my eating plan. I'm so pleased that we can eat things like that.

My friend is staying over this weekend, her mum's away and I offered her a bed for the weekend, I think we're going to Birmingham on Saturday shopping, and then if the weather is nice we'll have a BBQ in the evening.

Looking forward to weigh day again.

I was chatting to my neighbour last night and she looked at me and asked how much weight I lost, I told her, and she was so nice about it. In fact I've had a lot of comments recently about how good I'm looking, and I'm loving every minute of it, although I still see myself as big. It is a big confidence boost.

I go on holiday 5 weeks today, and I'm much smaller now than I was last year. I got a couple of cheap bikini bottoms from Tesco in an 18, and then I'll wear a vest top over the top to hide my tummy lol I wonder how much weight I can lose between now and then.

Yay for the hot weather and the sunshine!
  • I'm back!!!!!! Well seems like we are all losing the same....I've lost 3lb, 2 weeks ago and stayed the same last week. However I have been majorly naughty over the weekend. Had food from the chippy twice, went out boozing and just generally did not stick to the plan whatsoever, so I either will gain or hopefully stay the same again this week. I'd put my money on the gaining side of things tho. But oh well, I've learned my lesson, enough greasy food for the next few months....yikes, my poor bowels were deffo suffering over the weekend.

Going to Boxercise again tonite and tomorrow, so hopefully that will help a bit...
  • Yay, welcome back Moonchild, its been too quiet in this thread without ya! So, we're all back on track now, weigh in will tell the story I guess. Funny how our weight loss in here is always so alike.

So, did you do anything nice while you were off?
