holy cow! It's been so long! I just wanted to kinda check in here and say hi. I'm not doing completely horrible, but I'm not doing great either. I know this sounds like a total cop out, but I'm definitely kicking it in high gear over Christmas. I have 3 weeks at home with no class or work. That seems like a godsend right now, but I'm gonna get bored FAST if I don't have anything to do. At this precise moment, I am just desperately trying to get through finals. I don't think I've slept more than 4 hours a night since last Sunday, the 3rd. It totally sucks. Good news though: I got on my school's newspaper staff! I'm excited. Or at least I was before I stopped sleeping. Anyway, it sucks that the challenge has petered out, but I would prob be in the negatives anyway. I'll definitely be into doing it (or something else) once the new year gets here. I'm going to Vegas for SB and I wanna look good!
Anyway, since my schedule is SO messed up right now, I'm gonna wish y'all a stinkin awesome merry christmas in case I don't come back again for awhile. I'll also begin the happy bday in 19 days wish for myself 21!!!

peace y'all

Hello every one!

Jen Happy Early Birthday!!!

Kiwi Congrats on the 180's you go girl

Suz sorry to hear that your family did not make it....

My daughter is home from Duke University, and while away this semestar she has managed to get herself a Yorkie! So with that surprise my husband is less than thrilled already thinks our cat and dog are too much now we have this little 2lb. cutie running around trying to take over... He is cute, however trying to mingle him into the pack is not going over so well, so it is chaotic to say the least..
Well girls I have lost another 2lbs! whoo hooo!!! still in the 190's and my short term is to be like Kiwi (my hero) and hit the 180s by Christmas!

Have a healthy day everyone and Kiwi hope fam is feeling better soon!

Wahoo Danni and Congratulations! I need to start doing some exercises so I can shake some weight loose!
I feel for ya when it comes to the pets. When my mom comes down she brings her poodle which doesn't go well with our dogs so there is constant whining and barking.

Good to hear from you missindy, My you are always having test. Its no wonder College kids are always wanting to release some built up stress!

Well I did awful yesterday on my eating. My grandsons birthday is today but we celebrated Sunday and of course they sent the cake home with me and i have done nothing but nibble! I wont' do it today and I am going to start doing some exercises to help me.

chat later

its 11:30 am my time Suz and I am still in my pj's. Looks like its my turn with this flu bug. But i don't have it like the others did. I'm just very tired. Throat is very dry.

Ivy sorry about your son. I know it is killing him not to wrestle. That flu bug is getting everyone I hope your other son is feeling better. We are passing it around over here. Jake got his Foot ball jacket yesterday. He was so proud of it. It was really hot yesterday but he was wearing it. ha ha

I had this cute idea for a stocking stuffer for my daughters. I bought some nice kitchen utensils in the color of there kitchen then I wrapped it in a pot holder matching there kitchen. Tired a ribbon around it and I will put it in there stocking. For the guys I bought some craftmen wenches and sockets and wrapped them in work gloves tired it in raffia.

Well, i'm tired so I'm going back to bed

We just got back from singing christmas Carols! About 20 of us decided to go to the Seniors in the church and sing Christmas carols at each of their homes. We started about 6:00 tonight and got home about 9:30 and then had refreshments at my sons house. We really had a great time and all the Seniors loved it. We went to 12 homes. My throat is killing me. But it was worth it.

I saw the baby again! So pretty!

I guess I should fess up. Looks like I put 2 pounds back on. I was back up to 191 this morning. Just to many sweets and parties! But if 2 pounds is all I gain over the holidays I guess that is good. I'm not changing my scales yet. I'm going to wait until Friday and see if I can shake
it loose!

Suz enjoy your vacation! Oh and she is my 5th Grand Child.

Hello Everyone:

Hope everyone is doing well

MyIvy...how is your son doing? I hope he is feeling better

Suz - I would leave the scale alone for a while especially this time of year, sometime frequent weighing can thwart all your efforts when you are faced with very tempting foods IYKWIM..but you are doing great just remeber your exercise!!!!

Kiwi....Congrats on "grandbaby #5!!! How exciting a Christmas baby! She sounds beautiful! Enjoy!

Well as for me my daughter and my "grand DOG" have arrived... He is a very cute Yorkie but yaps quite a bit, nothing annoying "yet" He gets along great with the Cat but the pug and him kind of keep their distance and when they get to close to each other they both "yap". But all in all it is great to have her home! She has gained a few pounds this semester and after seeing me and the weight I have been loosing she is working out and eating like me since she has arrived, I hope she sticks with it she is such a beautiful person, but if anyone with a weight issue knows it is hard! So wish me luck on keeping her on track!!
As for me!!!!! I HAVE MET MY DECEMBER GOAL!!!!!!! I like Kiwi wanted to see the 180's by Christmas and today I am drum roll............189!!!!!!!! I have lost 4 more lbs.!!!!!!!!!! : So I am quite pleased with myself!!!!!! Thats my good news I hope you all have good news to report this week.

Kiwi...hope everyone feels better from the Flu!!

Good Morning
Danni thats great that you are in the 80's I usually don't weigh myself that often about once per week I will not weigh myself till Friday we have lot to do in the next few days i have 1 exercise class left tomorrow then we won't start up again until after the new year so I will have to get out my exerxise tapes for over the holidays

Kiwi I am sad that you gained back 2 lbs but you will be able to get rid of them I know you will

Now if can manage to get rid of a few by the end of the year I will be very happy I think once I get by this 170 hurdle it may come easier i hope

Take care suz

Happy Holidays everyone!!!!! Hope you all enjoy your holiday however you spend it.

Well mini update....I am in terrible pain, I have or should have said "HAD" a sebeceous cyst growing on the outer side of right leg...well it ruptured under the skin and I started to get a raging abcess so on Thursday I had to have it lanced and that hurt soo sooo much well today Saturday, my hubby and I get to remove the gauze packing that he (the suregon) packed it with....yuck yuck.... Why do they send people home to do jobs that they are not equipped to do? I mean if I was well versed in "wound care" I would not have a problem, however I did not attending nursing school and I think this task should be left to the professionals who studied hard and earned a degree to this kind of stuff, not me and my ill equipped hubby to do so in the shower! changing the dressing the past couple of days was so so stressful... and now today we get to remove the packing that was there to help it drain ?
Wish me luck and to top it off the Augmentin that I am taking well to put it nicely has kept me in the bathroom, and now this a.m I woke up and I am loosing my voice... Merry Christmas LOL

Hope everyone does not pack on too many pounds....have a super Holiday....gotta run...well hobble off to the shower to start the debreeding process,

Danni

Danni bless your heart! I feel sorry for the pain you are in and all that yucky bandages you have to deal with.
I know exactly what you are talking about because I had to change my husbands bandages when he had surgery. You take care of yourself! Of course, I guess you have to since the doctors sent you home without a nurse.lol

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!! DON'T OVER EAT BUT ENJOY!
