Hi everyone!

Went to my WW meeting today and had dropped 3 more pounds!! But I had to do some major working out and drinking water to shed that Red Velvet cake!!

Missindy Congratulations on the News of the Scholarship. I hope by that news you meant you got it!! Wahoo!!

Scalewather good to see you back on track. I've been slacking on the exercise sense you've been gone. Monday I'm starting back. I promised myself I would exercise at least 15 mins a day 5 days a week. Anything less than that is just excuses I make.

Suz I'm glad your instructor was good but it sure would have made for a funny story. ha ha

Danni your wisdom astounds me.

Bonnie how are things going with you?

hey everyone!

I ate kinda bad last night after work, but I didn't eat hardly anything all day, so I guess it kinda made up for it. And, anyway, it was REALLY good and definitely what I needed/wanted, so I'm gonna be okay with it. But only this once!

Other than that, I'm keeping pretty good on everything. Got some extra exercise this morning cause my car wouldn't start. Man it is SO stinking cold here. I called my dad to complain about my car, and my hand seriously hurt when I switched ears and put that one in my pocket.

Oh, and unfortunately, I have not gotten the scholarship yet. I had to fill out a killer application a few weeks ago, and now I'm in the finals for it. It's all good though cause I have to go do an interview, and it's in my hometown, so I'll get to see my parents again in a couple of weeks. yea!

I hope y'all have/had a great weekend. And stay warm!

What do you mean no words of Wisdom! I write these things down!! I love reading them! I try to apply them!

A few days does not make a plateau. You are doing great. But just to help motivate you a little Danni, here's my words of wisdom:

I'M DOWN TO 181 AND GETTING SMALLER FOR ALL TO SEE.....

IF YOU DON'T LOSE WEIGHT I'LL MAIL YOU MY CLOTHES....

'CAUSE THEY'LL FIT BETTER ON YOU THAN ME!!

Good Morning Everyone:

Kiwi....
Your clothes may fit, but who really would want those "old" outdated rags on their back? hmmmm??? donate them girl to a "short" homeless shelter...

Suz I currently live in the thumb of Michigan...Port Austin...quiet little resort town that booms in warmer months..Ann Arbor is about 2-3 hours away, have had to take my son to their wonderful hospitals so I know that area all too well. If you ever come to Michigan look me up we can do a lunch oops..no we could take a walk

I am feeling better today, not so blue about not loosing even a pound, ounce something.. I danced around for about 45 mins. I am switching up my exercise routine and I am suppose to increase my calories every other day, according to my coach so I added 200 extra yesterday today will be a "normal" 1200 and tomorrow I will add the extra 200..geesh...no one ever said all this was easy..

Words of wisdom for today:

Becoming enlightened is like being a pumpkin.
God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff -
including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.
Then He carves you a new smiling face
and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
So if you fill yourself up with junk, all the hard word to enlighten you wil be lost!

Have a great day ladies,... (even you too Kiwi.....)
Keep moving and drinking that water....

Good Morning,

I'm exercising at 8:15 this morning so I have a few minutes. Danni, I think my motivation might have worked for ya! (meow psst psst) Don't hate me 'cause you an't me!

I've bumped up my exercise routine also. I learned Saturday how to figure points for exercise so that I can either eat more, maintain or lose. Pretty cool. My goal for them was to add 3 points for exercise this week. Which means 25 minutes at low impact at least 3 times this week. My personal goal was 15 minutes 5 days this week. So it all works out!

Congratulation Suz for the weight loss!!

Missindy good luck. I like your new pic on myspace.

Where is Bonnie and Scalewatcher? Com'on ladies hang with us. We all have set backs, DON'T GIVE UP!
Scalewatcher when ever you are ready just let me know. Tell me what I need to do that will hep you.

Yesterday was pretty horrible for me. Because of dealing with my car, I had to deal only with food in the office cause I couldn't get back to my room. (oh how I love puppy chow though) I did get a bunch of extra walking though cause my car was stuck on the other side of campus. I'm probably gonna weigh myself tonight to see if I've gotten anywhere. I've tried not to cause I haven't been doing that great, and I didn't want to get down and do worse, but now I'm curious.

Oh, and Danni, it's still cold here. They said it would get warmer, but now they're saying snow. I love snow, but I would rather it wait until I get my car back.

And Kiwi, I'm glad you like my pic. It's an old one. I have to do my "photo shoot" tomorrow to get a pic to go with my editorials in the paper, so hopefully there will be another one, a new one, up in a couple of days.

have a great day y'all!

Good Morning everyone:

Hope you all are doing great and still on the "healthy" track of life. We have not heard from some of you and are getting a little concerned.... Ivy where are ya? Scale? Bonnie? hope to hear from y'all soon...

We know Kiwi is still here, ya hear her contantly don't ya...I am starting to hear her in my sleep talking all that trash she talks... "don't hate me, cuz ya ain't me", ...plllllleeeeaaasseee.......the heat in FL must be getting to ya, or is your bp up again? Messin with your thinking? Just playing with ya...ya know I love ya... my new diet buddy....

Missindy...it is cold here too...whoo eeee...it is a whole 1 degree... my poor dog won't even go outside, and I know he has to pee...he just looks at me and turns around and gets back in his bed...

Well ladies...I have to go take blood pressures... well I am learning how, it is not going well I mean most hospitals and dr.s office have the automatic bp machines right? ....mine do.. Ya strap on the cuff, press a button and the machine reads the bp right?
So why the heck do I have to learn with antique equipment???? They keep tellin me that soon it will be like tying my own shoes time will tell right? so off to use my poor kid as my patient...boy is HE glad I am taking this class...

Words of wisdom:
Don't count the days in your weight loss journey, make the days count. One bite at a time.....

Danni

Good morning!

Why is it that I lose all the weight I'm going to lose for the following week on Saturday and Sunday? I weigh On Saturday mornings. Then on Monday morning I will have dropped 2-3 pounds from Saturday morning. Then I spend the rest of the week TRYING to lose more but only to find that on Saturday Morning the only weight lost was what I lost that Monday morning. I know I know at least I lost. But what in the world am I doing on Sat. and Sunday that is causing the weight loss that I'm not doing the rest of the week? If I could figure that out I could probably lose more weight!

Okay take a deep breath...... So how is everyone this morning?

Danni every time you do your blood pressure thing this week I want you to think of me. Picture my face. Hear the words coming out of my mouth as I say........
"What is wrong with you? That's to tight!!"

chat later

Kiwi- that's kinda odd. it would seem that your weight would go up over the weekend and drop during the week. that's kinda how mine is. weekends basically just don't count. I get no exercise unless I work a bunch, and if I work a bunch, I eat there too and that combats any good.

yea it's snowing!

Hey try this new reciepe I got. Its wonderful!! I made this tonight for the church and everyone loved it.

1 can ff chicken broth
1 can ff refried beans
1 can black beans (drained)
1 small jar salsa
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes (use the petit diced)
(I used Rotel in place of the salsa and diced tomatoes)
1 can corn (about 14 oz is what I used)
10 oz chicken breast, cooked, shredded.

I added the refried beans, tomatoes or rotel and broth.......heated it to "dissolve" the refrieds and then added the rest of the ingredients. Think it was 3 points for a 2 cup serving. I LOVED this soup- 1 cup was very filling and yummy. Enjoy......

Good Morning,

Well I made the soup for everyone at church and they all loved it! Everyone wanted the recipe. I did change it up a bit. I didn't have any tomatoes so instead of adding salsa and a can of tomatoes I just added 1 can of Rotel to replace both. Basically the same thing but with a kick.

Missindy if I didn't lose on the weekend I just wouldn't lose all week. It can be frustrating because I really don't do anything on the weekend and all week long I'm trying to exercise and control my eating habits. Maybe that's what it is. I work all week to lose but nothing. Then on the weekend when I'm not really dieting all the work I did that week shows itself. The rest of the week is showing what I did over the weekend.

Goals?....7 pounds for Feb

Well, we got snow, but we also still have class. I hate going to a school where almost everyone lives on campus.

Got some personal turmoil going on right now, but it's all good. Lost another couple of pounds. That's good. And now I must go and study for a quiz. hooray!

I'm thinking about starting a new post.

This one is like over 10,000 comments. I was thinking that maybe since its so big it causes new people to avoid it. What does everyone else think?

We would use same title we would just start new at one. It might even be good to start fresh since this is a new month. We can start new goals. Actually find something that we all have in common that we can work together to achieve. Yes I know we all want to lose weight. But I'm talking besides that.
Like something we can all DO together to make each other accountable. This way we can encourage each other more because we are doing the same thing.

Make sense? Give me your feed back.(today) If we are going to do this then lets start today. Lets find a common ground. Like walking (which I hate) But I've seen where people count there steps? I guess you would have to have something that tracks that. Lord knows I don't want to count my steps all day. I'd forget and have to start over! ha ha Are if you have a better Idea let me know
