Good Morning Ladies,
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did. Traveled to Mississippi to hear a band (Dr. Zarr's Amazing Funkmonsters) play at the casino there. Awesome group if you like music from the 70's-80's era. A big group of friends showed up. So we danced all night long!
Saw a guy that I used to work with a few years back. Funny thing is, when we both worked for the same company, he rarely spoke to me. But Saturday night he talked and flirted with me all night long, danced with me twice, then wanted me and my friend, Connie, to go with him to the blackjack table so we could be his good luck charms. He ended up winning $1,800!
We hugged, kissed good-bye and parted ways. I told Connie that it kinda hacked me off that he couldn't/wouldn't/didn't talk to me whenever I was 35 pounds heavier! I'm still the same person.
Has that happened to any of you?

Hello Linda...sounds like you had a good weekend. I haven't had that happened with anyone yet, but I'm only down 5 lbs...maybe someday it'll happen.
Happy Monday morning!

Hi all!!!!!!!!
Vacation was wonderful!!!
I can't say that I stuck to my WW, but I wasn't as bad as I could have been. Looking at my scale at home, I have either stayed the same, or maybe lost a pound, it's hard to tell. I don't weigh in until Thursday for the official weight, but the last day that I weighed before going on vacation, I had lost 4.4 lbs. I guess all that walking really helped. I didn't exercise on vacation, though we did go snorkeling one day in Cozumel. When we got to Panama City, I did walk on a treadmill at the resort every morning for 1 hour, which was 3.6-3.8 miles. This morning I walked for 1 hr and 25 minutes and walked 5 miles.
How is everyone doing? I haven't read back to see who the queen is yet.
Hope everyone is doing fine.
I had fun on vacation, but I was glad to get home too!!!

Donna!
Welcome home. So glad you enjoyed your vacation. Did you come back all nice and tan? That's great you didn't have any weight gain on your vacation. That is SO easy to do.
Did you get a chance to go to Playa del Carmen? I loved that place last year! Water and sand there are beautiful. Now I'm feeling vacation sick!

Saw the Dr. today for my check up. One month after starting Metformin (500mg once a day) I have lost only one lb. She is increasing my dose to 500mg twice a day. Here's hoping that this month is more successful than last.

Hey girls!!! well, I survived my camping ordeal. Hot and humid is all I can say!!! Ds had a great time though.....there were 6 boys from his boyscout den and lots of things for them to do. Camping by myself is not something I like to do....(dh was working out of town, and other ds was away at school) I did it though but only for ds. The threat of a storm and high winds made us do the fastest teardown EVER!!! Believe me, when you have to schleep all the equipment, coolers, sleeping bags, chairs, etc etc....a good 300 ft to the car.....YOU MOVE FAST. That in itself was a workout. I feel as though I've been derailed diet wise though, I did eat healthy and all of that but since TOM came yesterday, I have been non exisistant in the excercise dept. Gotta work on that. I did give in to some sugar cravings yesterday but feel on track today. I tell you....its a day to day battle sometimes.
Hey...how come no one is calling me Queenie?
Emzi.....Nice to meet you! Dh LOVES the World Cup. He tries to channel flick every chance he can!! He's originally from Warwick, where abouts are you?
KKitty....good luck with the new meds.
exquisitern...WELCOME BACK!!! Sounds like a dream vacation!! Great job on the treadmill. Now back to the real world.....*sigh*

uh....I guess so. He was very close to Warwick Castle and went to the Warwick School for Boys. He left there when he was 16 though. I would love to return for a visit, he still has cousins living close by but all his immediate family emigrated with him. Sorry....he was working last night so he missed the game.
Just got in from a great workout. I'm am SO GLAD I went....I was feeling tired and crampy, but now feel energized!!! wooohooo, and I'm back OP!!!

okay girls.....I am officially a big blob of jelly!!! I went to the gym this morning thinking....okay, I can do the core body ball/class and hoping I wasn't too crampy and blah feeling. I made it through the class and then the teacher said..."who's here for the jump rope class?" hmmm, who wants to burn 900 calories in an hour? WELL HELLO??....I DO!!! So I paid my extra 5 bucks, and boy oh boy do I feel spent!!! We would skip rope for 3 minutes and then switch to push ups for 1 min.....then 3 minutes of skip rope, then 1 min of abs....etc etc and switching up the basic jumping for a ski step, running step, jump on one foot, double jump, swing leg step....etc etc..... I am so proud of myself for lasting the hour!!!! of course, this means I won't be able to walk later....

Are you standing upright and walking now or crawling? Personally, I'd still be on the floor of the gym!
