Cool Sticking With It

Well I'm not sure if I am doing this right but I thought I would try to do a new thread. Since ours our old thread says week 1 and we are on week 2 it only makes sense.

Anyway, Today is Thursday and I am still "sticking with it" !! I'm doing good on this diet and I actually tried a diet pepesi and managed to drink most of it.
I felt like I stuggled alittle more than usual because I didn't drink as much water yesterday. I normally drink bottled water and I was out and didn't want tap.

I did lose a pound on the scales but It keeps going up and down so I will wait until sunday before I make any final judgements. My goal is to lose
2-3 pounds each week but as long as I lose something I will be excited.

I hope all of you find me.

See ya

Talking sticking with it

Guess What?!

I bet a friend of mine $100 I could lose more weight than her.
What the heck was I thinkging?!

Angel I hold you responsible for it. All the money you won got me excited!

I have until Jan. so I will need all the support I can get. DON'T LET ME QUIT!
The funny thing about it. She and I were just talking about how much weight we wanted to lose and both our husbands were there and then I said to HER HUSBAND "If I win you pay me $100 and if she wins MY HUSBAND will pay her $100." I was actually expecting sarcasm back at me but he said "Sounds like a win win situation to me." So both our husbands agreed to pay. YAHOO!

See that all the motivation you need.
Take it from me, when money is involved its a whole different ball game.
Don't worry we won't let you quit. We'll just keep reminding you what you could do with that $100.

So is your friend starting right around where you're at, or does she have more or less to lose?

Good Luck, You Can Do It!!!!

Talking she has less to lose

Actually, she just want to lose 30 pounds. That could work for me. After all, as you begin to get closer to your goal weight its harder to get it off.

I think I have a competitive streak in me.

Good luck to everyone!
I weigh in this afternoon. I think I may have lost 1 pound. I had a quesadilla that was not on my diet yesterday for lunch, but other wise I did pretty good all the rest of the week.

Yea Potato!!!!!! Go girl!!!! You can do it!!!! Uh-huh, Uh-huh!!!!!
I truly believe that!
I am up to 4 1/2 miles which takes me about 1 hr and 15 min to do. I try to do it early in the morning or late in the evening when it's not too hot. I also do an exercise video on the days that I don't walk. I need to do some weight and resistance to gain muscle, but I just havn't figured out what I want to do. I don't go to a gym and I don't want to spend the extra money to get a membership. I need to get some weights to workout at home with, I guess.
Anyway!!! Go Potato!!!!

Hello every one!

I'm new, is it ok if I jump in?

YAY! for sticking with it and YAY! for exercise and YAY! for winning a $100 (potentially)

I woke up at 5 am and went running. I am pretty sure the appropriate word to describe the experience is "sucktastic". It was hot, humid and EARLY but I did it

Way to go Amber! I got up and walked 4 1/2 miles. At least it's cooler early in the morning than late in the evening.
Glad to see you on the thread!! Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Amber. Hooray for finding us!!

There are 2 things I find difficult about your exercise program.
1. 5:00 A.M, 2. Running

Just messing with you.

How long have you been running?
exquisitern walks 4 1/2 miles and she has medical problems. She's such an inspiration.

Congratulations Vapixie! That's great!

I've been running since... first weekend in May? I don't usually run in the AM (I hate getting up early!). But I'm training to run a marathon (what was I thinking!!!!) and the training program requires two 'maintenance runs' between the group runs on Saturdays. This morning was the only time I could squeeze in a second run, and since I skipped the group run last Saturday to go to a bbq and eat lots and lots of food....I figured I should haul my butt out of bed.

So I do my running 3 days a week, and weight lift 2. What does everyone else do for exercise?

Talking what do you think?

Well i just got in 5 minutes of exercise!! Now I realize it was only 5 minutes buuuuut, something is better than nothing!!
A girl has to start somewhere!

I think we should have a challenge among us. I brought it up before but I don't recall anyone jumping on it. Anyway, I've seen other groups talk about points and stuff but I'm not really sure how it works but I know I am up for almost anything.

What do you think? Any ideas? Lets make it something we can all do at whatever level we are at but also gets each of us out of our comfort zone. You know makes each of us go to work.

We could include water, weight, inches, exercise, cheating, any ideas??
