It is looking like something. Our "library" is now the "conservatory". The piano comes Thurs morning. We have a guitar and harmonica to go with. I can see the whole floor. I moved pic gallery from the west wall to the north wall. It is an upright piano.
I haven't tinkled any ivories in 25 years. I am looking forward to reteaching myself. Sis is sending all our old piano books too.
Futon cover and hockey gear in the washer.
AMC on in 10 min. 1 little guy naps. 2 will watch a movie.
I hope I can get movin again if I stop. Long evening ahead of me. We are expecting about 150 to the pancake supper. I am clearing tables and serving tea/coffee.

Holly--you are making me tired. sit down with me and have some tea. I sold my piano last year. I just didn't have time for it anymore. Enjoy--If you have played in the past it will not take long before you are playing again.

Mel--Food shopping is one of my least favorite things to do. I always buy to much and end up throwing out half of it. Can I say I hate to cook!

Where is every one? Have you all caught that nasty bug I had this past week?

Shad--How is work going?

Not much happening here today. I've had trouble staying awake today. I think I have a touch of Spring Fever. It's a beautiful day.

Default At least it is Wednesday.

I'm really, really tired. Didn't sleep last night, it was just so noisy out there. I had to have some windows open and the trucks and trains and planes seemed to be coming and going all night long. Then I had some horrible dreams which is so unusual for me. I guess it is time to start looking for somewhere somewhat quieter for me. This place really is not worth the money.

Work is moving along okay. Got my timesheet signed so I guess I might get paid someday. You mean all this and money too!!!!! One day I will get everything I need. I suppose that will be the day that they ask me to sign the contract of confidentiality! or maybe the day I leave.

Didn't go for my this morning - or do any exercises . It was enough just to drag myself out of bed! and I am really dragging the butt today. Tomorrow will be better I hope.

Holly - 150 to pancake supper!!! Is this at your place or some church hall or other???

Mel - I will ring you on my Sunday morning which is your Saturday afternoon. Does that sound okay?

Everyone sounds all pepped up and busy. Hope you are all getting over the bugs and lurgy's. Happy - you must be out there getting more kudo's from more people. Tig, Painter, Teel, Linus, Rose, hello

It's DS1's birthday next Monday. I haven't yet got him anything. Just rang him to say hello and see what he wanted. Doesn't know, can't think of anything. So now I will have to do the thinking.

Right, that was lunch break over. Better get back to the mill. Oh yes and I had better run down the stairs again to get to the ladies before the situation gets urgent. Geez - lucky I don't have a real problem!

I am home!!!!!! Answered a couple phone calls and now sitting down!!!!!!!!!!!

I made and flipped pancakes for 3 hours straight( didn't clear tables). It was a huge success. Our first ever Pancake supper at our church, Hosted by our Sunday School and run by my friend and I was her support crew.It was a beautiful display of community working in harmony. Delightful.

I need to gather garbage, clean the litter boxes and go to SLEEP!!

I am lovin my nice clean office.

The forms should all be finished soon. I might wind them up over the weekend or save some for nest week. I called the agency and told them some would be late..the deadline was yesterday...but they said fine. i also wrote post-it notes on each one going out with her name on them and her statement. No fool am I. but I know she's right from past experience of my own. Now for the good news. Yesterday was Day 6 and today i am 180!!! I have lost 2.5 lbs already, feet aren't quuite as swollen and I feel fine. No low sugar problems either. After the next 3 weeks, I may reorder the food. We'll see. I have another weeks grace before I have to order so the food will be here before I finish this box. You have to know I am loving the convenience of it and have a lot of time left over on weekends.....almost like having a personal trainer/cook.
Now I need to keep myself going and not just sit around wasting the extra time!!!
Here is a "funny"....I got the papers together for Social Security and mailed them out on Monday. The mail came and now there is a letter asking me iof I am still disabled and please answer this questionaire about my improvements I will never understand why with all the computers they have now that they cannot feed into it info so redundant forms don't keep going out!! the only thing they should be checking up on me with is IF I AM STILL ALIVE!!

Ceejay~ Gee and I was going to give you my next shopping list too! I used to do the same thing (buying and tossing) and then recently I have been forcing myself to stop. Money was the main thing with the cost of food Hope you're feeling better. OH...while I was on another website I saw an icon for a football team in Paragould,AK....a college... and now I have forgotten it's name!! I said...HEY I KNOW THAT NAME AND SOMEONE WHO GOES THERE!!!

Holly~ One of my favs is pancakes. I could smell them over here!!! YUM!! Very nice results she got then. I'm glad it went so well.

Shad~ Between the new job, the smells (pollution) of the city and those noises...no wonder you didn't sleep well. Perhaps a tape or cd with meditation like music running in the background would lull you to sleep. I know it works for me. saturday aft. is fine.

Where have all the 's gone?????
HELLO!!!!!!!!
HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE

Mel-Paragould does have a couple of high school football teams.--Are you ordering your meal online???? Maybe that's what I should do.

Shad--Hope you can find something more peaceful. You need your rest.

Holly--Glad the pancake supper turned out great.

As for me nothing exciting. I've been recalled to the gyn office for a biopsy tomorrow. Guess this 55 year old body just isn't as healthy as I would like for it to be. I've also checked on the payment history of the credit cards that I paid last week. It sure is nice to see those 0.00 dollars.

Morning all!

Just a quick drive-by posting. Really tired today… stayed up too late last night watching stupid television and still got up at 5:40 to go to the gym. I let TB sleep in since he went over on his ankle on the way back from dropping off the car last night and was in considerable pain once we got home. Thank goodness for cabs in this city!

Mel~ Congratulations!! You are getting results and it is worth its weight in gold if it also saves you time! Way to go!

Shad~ sorry the new environment and loud outside noises are keeping you awake. I feel like that every spring when we open the windows and I realize how much fun it is living over a major commuter thoroughfare. Mel may be on to something… a white noise thingie could help, or there must be a quieter location to rent.

Holly~ Glad the pancake function was fun and well attended. So nice when a community can come together for something like that.

Ceejay~ spring fever can be a good thing. Go with it I say.

Happy~ I don’t mind the hamster wheel it’s the squeaking that gets to me. Where do weekends go?

Meadow ~ I could use some of that willpower dust. Spring is just around the corner. It might be hard for me to get a new hairdresser since I did it myself, or should I say to myself. Next time this will have to be a “green job” (that is a job you pay someone to do). Nothing wrong with being a bit slow now and again.

Gotta run off and do some work. Later chicklets…

Better nights sleep last night although I still feel a bit like the proverbial dishcloth - got woken before the alarm this morning by the pack of local village idiots yahooing down the street. I will be finding somewhere quieter very soon, but that will probably mean leaving the beach area which is a bit hard. One of the men here has a flat (furnished) coming up for rent and has promised to take me to see it next week. I have to find somewhere else for the week after next anyway since the apartments are booked out for the entire week due to some society wedding (some society - these places are not flash). But at least I can leave all my stuff there this weekend while I go home. Bonus, not having to pack it all up again.

Madcat - don't know about your hair, but I doubt that mine would have grown out by May. Check out the hairdresser now, don't have to get it done, but at least you can check up on what will have to be done and whether it will damage the hair any more. Should we get you a hair extension for a wedding present??? or a wig??

Ceejay - I got one of those biopsy thingys done a while back. They said there was abnormal cells. I went along and it all turned out okay. Nothing strange or sinister, just another medical procedure to have to endure. I'm sure you will be fine too. Seeing a big fat 0 on the credit card statement is the greatest satisfaction. I love it.

Mel - wonderful news - oh skinny being - just goes to show what can happen when one isn't tempted with the 'extras'. Such a nice person you are to do the forms for the aged and infirm and darned contankerous! Saturday arvo your time it is. I'll try for around 6am my time so we sort of have the 'normal' hours. Better start making notes about what I should chat about I guess.
It's your own fault that they keep sending you forms to see if you are disabled. They keep hearing stories about the madwoman leading the mayor by the nose. There are computer systems which will spit out the information - provided of course that it is fed in properly in the first place. The local departments of family and welfare services are chasing themselves up and down stairs and corridors at the moment since they put in a new integrated system (SAP). They are finding or have found the same people in about three or four different places from previous systems and have been paying out for non-existent claims, kids, defactos, wives etc. Apparently there is a bloke in Sydney who lives in a $A1m + house and who is drawing $15k a year in a pension. Haven't yet found out which pension it is.

Okay, better go strike a blow for the workforce. I have a man here waiting to talk to me about BOM's - no not the terrorist variety, that would be easier.

Holly - cheers yourself but right now would be more in order. Let's go see if I can get these eyes open wide and the brain into gear before discussing terrorist tactics with the coal miners.

Hello all. I've been sick since last Tuesday with a cold virus. I've been dragging my sorry self to work - probably a mistake and more than likely why I'm not getting well. My DD has been nagging me dearly. Or is that DearlyDD is nagging me? Slim and I went to Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 this morning on the bike then breakfast before work. Nothing better than an early morning sunrise ride to church.

Sleeping is something that I haven't been doing well either with being so stuffed up and coughing. Drat. BOMs... Building Materials, here. We're up to our eyeballs at work in converting BOMs on the project.

Somehow last week I squeezed in my annual mammo. Pun intended. Got the results and I'm good to go for another year.

Lots going on around here but I'm fading fast. More when the breathing part is easier for me. to all!

Today is the day for the biopsy and I'm a bit frazzeled but I will survive this.

I've been using ediets.com for their food menu's and decided to follow the Total Body Makeover by Bob Greene. I signed the contract yesterday and did 20 minutes of aerobics. I'm hoping this is the boost I need to kick up my metabolism. I did take measurements this a.m. and nothing has changed from last month but due to the unfortunate circumstances that occurred I'm not stressing over it just starting over. On the total body make over I'm to drink 64 oz of water per day and exercise. This is the things I need most. I've gotten out of the habit of drinking my water. I'm going to exercise after I get back from the dr's office.

Have a good day.
