Friday

Sarah: I know, besides you and I, Nori and Serena are the only ones around these last several days. Catherine is away and Katie Bug said something about Spring break so they're forgiven, everyone else where are you!!???? Maybe they all came down with Spring Fever.

B: cereal L: Lean Cuisine D: 6" subway sandwich S: angel food cake

Pts: 24? Exercise: none Pedometer: didnt' have it on :(

It was nice getting home at 3:30 yesterday, unfortunately my daughter reminded (on the way to the sporting goods store to buy new soccer cleats) that she had dancing @ 4:30. I got her there by 4:30 to find out it was her recital day :o and she was supposed to be there at 3:30!! It's just at the community center so it wasn't a big deal, just hadn't planned on it. DS and his friend had to stay with me. Then off to the library, drop off DS friend, stop at subway and next thing I know it was 6:30, homework and help studying for tests and I got next to nothing done that was on my "to do" list! I need more hours added onto my day. I never even vacuumed, the dog hair is taking over the house. Pretty soon I'll be coughing up furballs. I'll be home early again today so maybe I can do the much needed housework tonight.

Well, I guess I complained enough! Oh, I told boss that I didnt' want to go off my diet today, he just said well let me know when you want to go. That's one calorie bullet I dodged.

Mo

MoNewEngland 03-31-2006 09:11 AM

Yes, I think I bought B&M vegetarian beans, they just don't have any bacon fat in them. I think it was 140 calores for 1/2 cup and maybe 5g of fat?? Can't remember exactly, it also had around 8g of fiber. I'm guessing around 2 or 3 pts if you're doing WW per 1/2 cup.

Nori71 03-31-2006 09:57 AM

I missed checking in yesterday. Things going well - just busy. My Mom is having surgery today and she'll be in the hospital for a few days and then have a long recovery, so we've been getting things set up for that. Did a little "summer" shopping for the girls.

I do strawberries and blueberries in shakes too. Not too into beans. Should work on that.

I hadn't gotten a chance to work out yesterday, so at about 8:30 decided to go to the gym. The gym is only 5 minutes away, so no big deal really. I've never gone that late at night though. It was nice! And I slept like a log.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far. Mine is just starting. And it's beautiful here. I should go buy some flowers and start with the yard.

Katie Bug 03-31-2006 11:58 AM

Really quick post here.. I'm leaving for spring break in about an hour! I'm going with my boyfriend and his family to the mountains. It's supposed to rain, though :( I guess I'll get a lot of shopping done! Hope everyone has a good weekend, I'll be back Monday or Tuesday!

MoNewEngland 03-31-2006 01:32 PM

I just went outside for a smoke and it is beautiful out!! A little breezy but nice and sunny. I was thinking it would be a great day to go buy flowers too but it's too early to plant here.

Nori, I hope everything goes well for your mom. Wow an 8:30 workout! I was in bed by 9:30 last night. I skipped lunch so I can leave at 3:00 today and now it's 1:30 and I'm getting real hungry :?: I should have snacks in my desk but I'm afraid I'll eat them all instead of saving them for an emergency.

Have a great weekend everyone, wherever you all are! Oh, I tried on my Gap 14 jeans this morning and managed to rip off the belt hoop trying to get them on! I guess I tried them a little too soon :o :o I'll check eBay for some in a 16 I guess.

Nori71 03-31-2006 02:33 PM

Sorry Mo, that had me giggling about ripping off the belt loop!

Have fun, Katie.

doing better

Well, I've been doing better the last 2 days. I've managed to stay within my points and it hasn't really been much of a struggle. I'm not sure why. It's normally a major fight with me but I haven't been extremely hungry. I've been able to turn down stuff that I normally would really like to eat. I baked a cake 2 days ago and haven't eaten any of it. Of course I'll probably have a piece today cause we're celebrating my nephews birthday. But I still have plenty of points to spare. Normally all my extra points would have been gone after the first 2 days but I've only used a few of them. I haven't really done any excercising but I guess because of my depression my energy level has plumited again. I'll probably go for a walk today. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Monday

Hi girls, hope everyone had a great weekend and Nori I hope your mom's surgery went well. Serena: maybe the spring season has gotten you back on track.

I'm still at 18 lbs. today but I didn't do that great over the weekend (plus TOM is here I think), I didn't eat a lot but not the right things. We had a dinner party last night and the things I shouldn't have had were wine and a 1" slice of a pumpkin streusel pie I had made. Also two chocolate chip cookies that I baked on Saturday. Also, I had gravy on my turkey :o DH also made a leg of lamb but I didn't eat any of that.

We had a fishing buddy of DH over for dinner. The man is 86 and a riot. He played DD new piano like a pro and said he never had a lesson in his life. He was in WWI and was full of stories. My mom, sister and my neighbors came over as well, it was fun for spur of the moment.

I am going to concentrate on water today to get rid of some of the salt in my body! I haven't had my period since December! It's very light though, I may have to call in for a prescription to get it going normal....happens all the time.

B: Bagel w/ little cream cheese L: 2 choc chip cookies D: turkey w/ gravy, potatoes, green beans, cranberry, sausage stuffing, 1/2 reduced fat biscuit, 1" slice of pumpkin streusel pie Pts: 40? Exercise: none Water: none (Big problem area)!!!!

I took another trip to Goodwill yesterday and bought myself a nice long tan skirt and black knit top, a pair of exercise pants (now I have to use them!) and a couple of things for each of the kids and a pair of jeans for my friends from Express for $1.00 I also hit a rummage sale Saturday morning at a local church that was $1.00 for a brown bag full of clothes! I didn't find anything great but got a few things.

I just realized my boss has a meeting in his office and I need to get my milk and cereal out of there! I hope the meeting doesn't last long because I'm starving!! I may break down the door shortly. Hope to hear from everyone this week. Mo

desertdreamer 04-03-2006 04:34 PM

Hello Hello!

How's my favorite bunch? I've been gone for a few weeks, decided to lay low for awhile until I could get myself together and quit my whining. I am doing much better and feel really good.

As of today I am starting over weight wise and + some. I'm okay with it tho', I always said I would never give up no matter how many new beginnings I had to take to get to goal. So here I am!

Have had a busy few weeks, kids were off for spring break last week and I started some spring cleaning. I started feeling really good with the new meds and felt like cleaning, so I spent days doing that. I actually had a good time with it and it really gave me a feel-good-about-myself accomplishment. Always feels good to be in a real clean house!

I have been looking for a puppy! I have wanted one for years and finally I think we are in a position to have one. My kids are old enough to help which is good. DH says I only want one because I'm itching for another baby!
Yeah, right! I never was allowed a dog when I was young so now is my chance! Cannot wait!!

Has anyone had any experience with blue lights? You know the ones for seasonal affective disorder? I'm thinking about getting one, as I've noticed especially this year for some reason, that with it getting sunnier and warmer my moods are so much better. This will help keep me on track with diet and exercise I think.

Ladies, it's so good to be back here with all of you. I hope you have all had a beautiful start to your week. I look forward to spending lots of time here getting healthy & getting back into the swing of things again. I sure missed you.

Keep shining! :sunny:

Nori71 04-03-2006 04:53 PM

Hi there, Danielle and welcome back! I do have a friend who benefits from blue lights. He has a lot of physical problems in addition to depression - like severe food allergies, eczema... Anyways, he has used them for years. Especially in the winter and fall. He lives in rainy Salem, Oregon and it is grey a lot there.

Maureen is officially in ONEderland now!! Congrats girl! Drink loads of water today and you'll be down tomorrow. BTW - is that normal for you to have such irregular periods? I'd have been freaking out thinking I was pregnant! Fishing buddy sould like fun! My grandfather has stoooooories too. WWII and otherwise. I like listening.:)

Serena - glad you are feeling better and were abel to save points. I bet as the weather gets nicer, you'll continue to feel better.

I lost 2.5 this week. Maybe I can be in ONEderland by my 35th birthday on July 15th. I keep not trying to set dated goals, but this one keeps creaping back into my thoughts.

My DH's birthday is tomorrow - so that means I'm making a cake. As long as it's out of the house by the next day, I should be fine.:p Get this, he wants liver and onions for dinner. :barf: So I'm making extra dinner tonight for the rest of us to have tomorrow night!

serena37 04-04-2006 10:48 AM

?

What are blue lights?
I do feel better with the weather but unfortunately all it takes is 5 minutes outside and I'm sneezing and draining and sick as a dog. I've never been big on medications though(didn't even take pain medicines after my surgeries) but I think my allergies make me feel worse than my surgeries did. LOL. Plus even the day time formula medicines cause me to just want to sleep.

Anyway, my oldest sons allergies have been bothering him really bad too. He stays stopped up all night and can't sleep. I don't really know what to do for him.

marinemommyof2 04-04-2006 11:47 AM

Nori - how is your mom doing?

Katie - have a great spring break!

Mo - LOL on the belt loop. I have had 2 pairs in the past pop beltloops....LOL.....

Serena - way to go with keeping within your points!!! And what a good idea to take a walk. For some reason, the more you exercise, the more you feel like doing it. Then you feel like something is missing when you don't exercise.

Danielle - how fun to get a puppy! We have a dog that I rescued years ago. He's been the best pet we could have ever wished for!!! And way to go getting back on track!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

MoNewEngland 04-04-2006 12:21 PM

Tuesday

Hello ladies:

Danielle: I hope you inspire me to clean my house. It is a great feeling when you get things accomplished isn't it. Glad you're back with us. I've been "not good" the last two weeks or so and I am slowly trying to pull myself back all the way onto the wagon seat again. We adopted a mutt (1/2 golden 1/2 collie) about two years ago and except for a couple of incidents where she's nipped a young neighbor, she's been great. We learned to put her food way out of the way, that's what she was possessive of. She's also adjusted to the electric fence which was well worth the cost. Good luck in whatever puppy you find, I've found that mutts are much healthier than full breeds though, but it's just your personal preference.

Serena: DH put a humidifier in my DD room last week and it seems to help a little. DD also takes a chewable Zyrtec for her allergies and it also seems to help. I've had a cough and tickle for almost two weeks, probably allergies, although I never suffered from them before. Just another problem added as I age!

Nori: I meant WWII, I laughed after I re-read my post. Hope your mom is doing well. I love the new picture, the baby carrier brings back memories! LOL

Sarah: I think I might have the beans tonight or tomorrow, I've been thinking about them! I still haven't tried the smoothy yet either.

Another not so great day: 6B: cereal L: Lean Cuisine S: two cookies :o D: leftovers (turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green beans w/ little gravy) and a small piece of pie :o
Points: 36? Water: none (fountain water was disgusting) Exercise: just shopping with kids after piano practice, 4200 steps for the day (just over 2 miles)

I'll try to go buy water at lunchtime or after work tonight. Have a great day!

Mo

Nori71 04-04-2006 01:21 PM

Mo - I didn't actually notice the WWI reference! I just noticed that he was the same age approx as my Gpa!

Sarah - My Mom is doing great actually. A little sore and tender - but that's to be expected I guess. She had a hysterectomy in addition to bladder repair and reconstructive surgery on her vagina (due to a rectocele (sp?)). I guess that can be needed after pushing 7 kids out. She said childbirth was a cinch compared to this though! I will not be trying to find out what condition I'm in after 7 kids!

Well, gotta get some work done and when DH gets home we are going to go for a hike. Trying out some new trails today. Should take 2 hours.

Have a lovely day ladies!

marinemommyof2 04-04-2006 07:00 PM

Whoa Nori - 7 kids!!!!! Bless her heart. Thank goodness she's doing okay. What a trooper!!!

Mo - I'm with you on the mutts. Our's is healthy as a horse.

Have a great night, everyone!!!

jamamom 04-04-2006 07:28 PM

I am back!

Hello everyone! I am back! I had a great weekend! BUT now I am back to the mess here! Things here are getting crazier by the hour it seems. I just have so much on my plate that I do not know what to do. I have been faithfully seeing my trainer, I have the sore muscles to prove it. Well, I have caught up on all of the reading since I have been gone. Do not have times for personals yet! So glad to be back, though! LOL to all of you!
Catherine

MoNewEngland 04-05-2006 09:06 AM

Wednesday

Hello ladies:

Welcome back Catherine! Way to go with the trainer, send some motivation and willpower this way.

Boy, I got a wake up call this morning, I ate bad again last night and this morning I unofficially weighed and was up 2 lbs!!! I've been slacking off a lot of the eating, exercising and I've never been good at the water. I do have my period which might account for the increased appetite...yes, I'm trying to find an excuse!

As far as TOM, I've never been regular. In fact I had to take a fertility drug in order to have kids, so no I don't really worry when it doesn't come. The bad thing is that sometimes when I finally get TOM, it's light and drags on for a long time and then I have to get a prescription that stops it and starts it again (regularly) so then it's like having it for 3 weeks. I think that might be what's happening this time.

Anyone watch Idol last night? I'm not much for country music so I didn't really like any of the performances. I did vote for Elliot Yamin based on his previous performances.

B: cereal L: Lean Cuisine, pretzels S: RF wheat thins w/ cheese :o
D: hotdog on roll, beans & RF sunchips D: granola bar & 2 pt. ice cream

Pts: 36? Exercise: none Water: 16 oz

I did stop and buy salad stuff for dinner tonight, my big problem is as soon as I walk through the door at night. I can't wait for dinner to be prepared and I start picking, as with the wheat thins. Then I watched the Women's NCAA championship and I ate the granola and ice cream, it was a good game did anybody watch it? Maryland won in overtime...maybe it was nervous eating!

Well have a great day, I can't believe it was in the 60's over the weekend and today it's snowing like mad!

Mo

marinemommyof2 04-05-2006 12:10 PM

Catherine - WELCOME BACK!!! Great to see your smiling face again!!

Mo - sometimes we all need a little break to eat a lot. As soon as you go back to your normal points, I bet you have a drastic loss!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Katie Bug 04-05-2006 01:20 PM

HEY LADIES!

I got back from my trip Sunday but I was too tired to post. I had a blast! The cabin was super-nice and the view was wonderful. It was nice to get away from everything. I'm so glad I got accepted to my dream college, but now I have to deal with lots of confusion and a big financial aid mess. I'm the first person from my family to go to college so we are all very confused!

Food and exercise flew out the window on my trip. I was constantly munching! I was hoping the 3+ hours of walking I did each day would counteract all those excess calories. Well, I gained 2.5 pounds but I can't tell if it's from food or PMS bloat. I'll just have to wait and see. Food in under control, but I need to buy more oatmeal. I swear, I don't know how I could live without my oatmeal!

Welcome back Catherine and Danielle!

Nori- It's good to hear that your mom is doing well. Keep us updated!

I think we're going to call the college soon. I hope it goes well!

Have a great day everyone!

{edit: I was SO CLOSE to my March weight goal of 160- 161! I'll never find out if I made it because of bloating, but I think I did great!}

marinemommyof2 04-06-2006 12:04 PM

Morning everyone! Hope you all are having a great day. :)

Nori71 04-06-2006 04:40 PM

Sarah - I just did Jiggle Free Abs and I liked it! I still like Tammilee Webb's I Want Those Abs too, but I'll probably start alternating it with this one.

Katie - You were super close! CONGRATS. We all know how 1 pound comes and goes so easily when you are bloated.

I came down with a cold suddenly yesterday and felt horrible all day until I decided to get my butt up and go to the gym anyways. I'm so glad I did. My headache went away and I felt much better. Today I feel fine other than the congestion.

Hi Catherine! Hi Maureen! Hope everyone else is doing good!

It's such a nice day here and I think I'll see if my Mom wants to get outside for a little walk with the girls. She's supposed to be walking a little each day now.

MoNewEngland 04-07-2006 10:57 AM

Friday!!!

Good morning girls:

Katie, glad you had a fun trip, I'm sure you made goal, congrats.
Catherine: I hope things are going well for you and the relations are healing.
Nori: You need to come here and be my trainer, you have such motiviation.
Serena: Hope things are well with you, where are you?
Sarah: thanks for the kind words, my eating hasn't gotten any better, I can't wait for TOM to leave, maybe that will help.

B: cereal L: Lean Cuisine S: 2 cookies (at hairdressers) When I got home: slice of italian bread with peanut butter and a handful of potato chips D: 5 pieces popcorn chicken, 1/2 baked potato with RF sour cream, granola bar...I was a bottomless pit!! Pts: I'm guessing at least 40 :?:

I decided yesterday last minute to leave early and get my hairdone because the lady had a cancellation. I had it cut much shorter into layers, I wanted a Meg Ryan look but I got nothing like it. It's so puffy on top I feel like I have a hat on and DH said I looked taller! I didn't have time to style it myself today so I'll know tomorrow for sure if I like it or not. I had highlights done too and those came out good. On my way home I bought a glass display cabinet at the Salvation Army. It was $185 and was nice. The woman there told me a man who owned a furniture store retired and his son donated all the unsold furniture so it's brand new. I was up till 11:30 last night washing and drying my china set so now I can finally display it. DH wants to stain the cabinet because it's a pickled oak but I can't decide yet.

Well soccer season is starting, DS has practice tonight. I won't miss the soccer days, they're a pain in the A$$. Working Mon-Fri then cleaning and driving both to and from soccer leave me only Sunday after church to relax and then there's always something to do then. I miss having my Saturday mornings, those were always mine for going to yard sales. Oh well, one of the small sacrifices we make as a mommy!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Katie Bug 04-07-2006 03:11 PM

Hey ladies!! I've been taking a week off from exercise. I've been watching what I eat, but not counting calories. I find it hard to do on weekends and breaks because I don't really have structure in my days.

I have a new April plan. There are a lot of events in April and May that I want to look my best for - Prom, senior trip to Disney World, lots of banquets, my birthday, and graduation!

Food: I want to log as much as possible, and try to stay around 1400-1500 calories a day. That's working for me.

Exercise: I am going to shoot for 5 cardio workouts a week, but 4 will be fine too. Each cardio workout should be 30 - 60 minutes long. I will try to log my exercise daily at the Presidential Challenge website. I also need to incorporate weights/toning this month. I need to shape up my jiggly arms!

Weight: I want to lose just a few pounds, or maintain. I'm looking to build muscle this month and I don't know if my prom dress would fit right if I lost 5 more pounds! It's already big on me! (Which I guess is a GOOD thing!)

I hope to be back later for personals! It's supposed to storm a lot this evening, so if I'm not back you'll know I'm in the basement hiding :D

It's been AWHILE since I was here at all, but I now have time during the week to get on a few times and post and update and keep up with everyone ! March was a SUPER busy month here in Alabama. Monday

Hi ladies:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Welcome back Elizabeth, my stats are in my ticker.

I have been bad this weekend and for the first time, I won't bother to post everything I ate, I can't remember it all anyway, I grazed too much! This was just a continuation of how I ate from last week. I didn't gain anything (yet) which is good and I came prepared to work today with a lean cuisine, fruit and yogurt. I also have a big package of chicken I'll be grilling up tonight when I get home.

Catherine: I hope all is going well. Post soon, we miss you. Hope the trainer is being gentle with you :D

Serena: Same with you, what's new, how are the boys?

Nori: I hope your mom is doing well.

Sarah: What's new with you, what have YOU been up to?

Katie: wow, you have a busy schedule coming up, enjoy!

Danielle: Where are you? You haven't posted in a week! Your talk of cleaning inspired me to clean out both the kids closets last night. I have 7 big bags of clothes to donate on my way home. I also cleaned my downstairs hallway which was a "catch all" area. I've been bad for over a week...you can fall of the wagon, just don't fall off the wagon trail and into the valley below I guess. It's getting nicer outside, keep visiting here and posting and soon we'll be back on track together! We miss you!

Well I guess I'll sign off, I hope everyone gets back on track with posting their updates.

marinemommyof2 04-10-2006 11:04 AM

Welcome back Elizabeth! It's great to hear from you!!!! I'm so glad you're loving WW! I sure love it when I can get my butt there!

Katie - I bet you'll be beautiful in your dress! The Firm makes a video called Jiggle Free Arms - maybe it's just the thing you need! I'd love to have nice shaped arms, too!

Maureen - it's good you've got a plan to get back on track. Forget about the grazing. :)

Nori, Danielle, Serena and Catherine, can't wait to hear how your Monday is going!

Notice my ticker....I gained a little back. I'm trying to get back in control this week as well!

jamamom 04-10-2006 03:01 PM

I have not disappeared

Hello lovely ladies! I apologize for not being here! I haven't felt here or there at all this last week. I collapsed at work on Wednesday, My doctor put me on some bed rest affter that and gave me something to help me sleep. It didn't! I was still up. The stress of every thing going on is really getting to me. It is tearing me apart. Emotional eaters beware, I think I have you all beat this week. I ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's yesterday in one sitting. Go ahead you can yell at me I did yell at myself when I was done. The FIL has a permanent room in Assisted living if we can come up with the proof of pay for it. It would be so nice. He comes back here at the house on friday if we do not get anythin worked out. Anybody have a 150,000 dollers I can use? It is nice to have a little freedom here at the house. He went to the hospital on Tuesday after he collapsed, they ended up putting a pace maker in. Me and DH still argue and it gets pretty heated. We know we are fighting because of all that we have on us and unfortunately we are using each other for an outlet. We are trying to correct that problem. Sometimes it does not work so well. As soon as I get my scanner working I will post my children's spring potraits they came out so nice. The trainer is going well. Yes, he is working me. I wish I could spend evey day with him. That would physically kill me though. My weight is holding even with TOM. I have more endurance doing some activities. Walking all the hills at the race track was a lot easier. It didn't kill me. I have read up on everyone's posts i just do not feel like personals right now. Thank you everyone for checking on me! LOL to all of you!

Hi Elizabeth!

I"m here! My weigh in reflected my weekend!! Only down .5 pound after a fabulous week of eating on track and exercising. I "thought" I would be "OK" making chocolate chip cookies - just a 1/2 batch you know! Well, after realizing my problem as I ate about 3 cookie's worth of dough I then proceeded to eat 7 of them - this was Saturday night. I then got into my old rut of not eating anything, healthy or otherwise after that...as a sort of self inflicted punishment. Thankfully DH and I talked it through yesterday and I got out of that old cycle for this "binge" and am back on track today. This is the real world, I'm not perfect,() I'll slip up now and then - I've got to get that engrained, forgive myself QUICKLY, and move on. I know it in theory, in my head. I do wonder if I'll be able to make a batch of cookies ever again though. :?:

Catherine - I hope you are back to 100% soon! Obviously, you just read my above confession, and even if I had not suffered a set-back this weekend myself, I wouldn't judge you! Not for 1 second! Although my binge wasn't "emotional" just "lust". You are under some serious stress. Plus, B&J's is DAMN good ice cream!!:) Yes, post pics of the kiddos! I'll share some in a bit here too...

Katie - You'll have to post a dance pic too! I'm sure you'll be stunning. What color/style is it? I hear you on not losing anymore weight when you have an event and have a fitted dress. I had to have my wedding dress altered 3 times after the gal finished it because I kept losing weight. Finally at the final fitting about 2 weeks before the wedding, she said "enough is enough"! Too bad I went on a honeymoon! That's when everything went downhill food wise!

Hi Mo! Sounds like you are armed with a plan today! How's it going! I know how hard it is to get back in a groove once you feel like you're in a rut. I'll happen. Just continue with your good planning and it'll click again. You're so dang busy with "your life", I don't know how you do any of it! My Mom is doing much better now. Thanks for asking.

Hi Sarah! When's the move?

Elizabeth! Hi stranger! Congrats on your continued success!! My stats are also in my siggy! Down 33 pounds since 1-5-06. My "plan" is to stay away from chocolate chip cookies!:D :crossed:

Hi Danielle! Check in soon! Along with any other MIA's!

Here's some pics from our hike a couple weeks ago. This trail is just .5 miles up the road from our house and there's tons of trails, so you never have to take the same one. It's been great fun and equals about 2 hours of exercise each time. I guess you can only upload 5 pics at a time in each post, so I might do 2 posts!:D My baby Melina turns 1 tomorrow!!!

Nori71 04-10-2006 04:24 PM

OK, a few more. Our house is sort of in the middle of the closest zoomed in neighborhood shot.
Sorry it there's repeats from first post. I couldn't remember which one's I already put up.

marinemommyof2 04-10-2006 04:31 PM

Catherine - good luck, sweetie. I know things are rough right now. I hope you find the money you need to keep FIL in the assisted living home. I think it would relieve so much stress in your life.

Nori, your husband and children are BEAUTIFUL. What a gorgeous family the four of you make. And what a gorgeous place to live! I keep meaning to ask you if Nori is short for anything?

We're still waiting on my husband's orders to see how they're worded - that will determine when exactly we'll be moving. But it's looking like the kids and I will move in early August! :) WAHOO!

Nori71 04-10-2006 04:35 PM

Thanks Sarah! My "real" name in Lenora. I go by Nori or Nora to most people. Depending on who they are. If DH isn't calling me a "cutsy" name, I'm Lenora to him. He likes it. I like it now too. But in 6th grade I didn't and decided to go by a nickname.

That's nice you can move when the kids are on break. Not so disruptive. I guess?

marinemommyof2 04-10-2006 05:04 PM

Lenora is pretty, too! I like Nori - it sounds Asian. :)

Eric is going to be starting Kindergarten when we get there. And they have a full day Kindergarten program, so my 1 year old and I will have a lot of time left to hang out together. Which is good, because I feel like I have been missing so much by working.

Nori - did you lose mroe weight over the weekend? You've lost so much! And your pictures look FABULOUS!

Nori71 04-10-2006 05:19 PM

I think it IS Asian. I think it's the seaweed wrapper on Sushi, isn't it? I've met 1 other Lenora who goes my Nori. I've only ever met 4 Lenora's - including my great-grandmother. For some reason I thought you already had boy(s) in grade school. I keep thinking you have 3 boys - even though you screen name clearly states "2"! I think I got confused since you referred to you DH as one of the boys once when you were counting numbers! Sorry. In spite of my cc cookie binge, I lost .5 pounds. I suppose it'll slow down my progress on the scale this week. But that's Ok.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Tuesday

Hello ladies:

Cathy: I hope you're taking good care of yourself, did you collapse because of exhaustion? I hope something works out with the assisted living place :crossed:

Nori: the pictures are great, when I first looked at them it looked like a desert backdrop. I pictured Washington State looking like a forest (yes, I've led a sheltered life!) :dizzy:

Sarah: Are you still moving to South Carolina, am I remembering correctly? Kindergarten is such a cute age! My two usually get along great but lately they've been getting on my nerves with their bickering and fighting over petty things. Last night they got sent upstairs for 20 minutes to prevent me from losing it!

Hello everyone else!!

As far as eating is concerned I didn't do great but much better than I had been. B: cereal L: Lean Cuisine S: 5 milkduds (last 5 in box luckily!), handful of RF sunchips D: 1/2 piece chicken, 1/2 cup baked beans, 2" piece cornbread, real small spoon on rice, S: granola bar w/ tea
Pts: 28? Water: 24 oz?

Again, my BIG problem is the minute I walk in the door. Today I think I'll eat my 2 pt yogurt just before I leave work and drink a seltzer on the way home. Does anyone go bike riding? I'd like to try again but last year when I tried my A$$ killed me like you wouldn't believe, even with a gel seat. I might give it another whirl, I'll see if I can fit the bike in my van (I don't want the neighbors to see me go for a 5 minute ride!!) :o

Have a great night, oh Idol is on!!

Mo

Nori - have a great time with your baby tonight!!!! I love 1st birthday parties. You should have seen my baby with his first cake. Let me see if I can figure out how to post a picture of him with it....lol.

Mo - yes, we're still on to move to SC! Looking like we'll move in July or early August. My husband's orders should be finalized soon!

:)

marinemommyof2 04-11-2006 04:42 PM

Hi again Ladies

I was so glad to hear from everyone ! Hope you are all doing well

:woo: Happy 1st Birthday to Nori's daughter :hb:
My Sam turned 1 on March 25th it was AWESOME. Sometimes I just want
to boohoo because he's growing up SO fast for his Momma. :D

Sarah, I know you're SO excited about moving to SC. It's a beautiful place. What area will you be moving to ? Loved the pic of your son and his cake btw. TOO Cute

Nori, you look FANTASTIC. And wow such a beautiful family you have ! Love the new pics of you. You are doing so awesome !! BTW, I know a Lenora and she's 3 1/2 and lives next door. We also had a family member who is a cousin in my family. So you aren't alone.

Mo, I meant to tell you Congrats on a job WELL DONE with weightloss !! Keep up the awesome work ! I know it holds you accountable when you journal everything you eat. You're a brave soul to post it here ! Go Girl !! :carrot:

Katie, I do hope you will post a pic of you and your beautimous dress ! It sounds so pretty. :)

Catherine ~ I am SO sorry for all you've had to endure. I will keep you and your's in my thoughts and prayers. Assisted living is wonderful, yet costly but such a good place to give you and your DH some peace of mind. My Grandmother who is 96 yo lives in one and it's like a resort. She is SPOILED rotten there. LOL - but it's been a blessing and relief. I hope you get some needed rest. :goodvibes

EVERYONE ELSE - :mag: WHERE ARE YOU ?What has become of you ? You are missed, and it would be GREAT TO hear from all of you. I think some PMs are in order. :soap:

J says hello. For those of you who remember DownontheFarm that is my husband. He has been a little under the weather lately after some extensive oral surgery, but he's a trooper. :goodvibes

:cheer: Keep up all of the Good Work !!! :cheer:

P.S. At WW's tonight I've lost an additional 2.2 lbs :cp:

Hugs & Stuff ~ Elizabeth
