Whoo-hoo Kim!! That's a fantastic loss! I'm thinking that I can also arrive in Onderland in September!
Mo - OMG, those cookies must have been good to have your DH tell you to never make them again! How funny. I made pound cake and my DH uct it up in slices and put it in the freezer for later! It must have been good to him, because he was loving me after he tasted it!!! MEN! Sarah - I've been discovering more about the mind body connection also. With food as well as exercise. I notice that when I'm exercising and thinking about my body...the muscles working...how I want to sculp my body...I get a much better workout that when I'm reading a magazine or book. I start moving slower when I'm reading. Just me. Well, my weight in wasn't too good yesterday. It is TOM and I was up 3 pounds!!! I know it's water, but still... Well, I'm off to do my Pilates. CBL. |
LOL-Mo-guess what I had for lunch? BURGER KING! LOL Funny.
Great job Kim!!!!!! |
Nori - I'm glad you are discovering the mind body connection, too. I see people running on the treadmill and reading, and I can't help but wonder how they don't fall! But seriously, I've also read your muscles get a better work out when you're actually thinking about it. What a neat idea. So far, on disc one, this self hypnosis guy is saying that if you tell yourself over and over "I'm fat" then your mind will give the message to your body and your body will comply. He also goes into a lot of other reasons why people carry extra weight. And he mentions that you shouldn't try to fit anyone else's ideals, you should acheive "YOUR PERFECT WEIGHT." I really like that idea.
Hope everyone is having a great day! |
well morning everyone.. gonna be a hot one here today!! pool is not warm enough for my body yet.. but kids go in it... I went out to the movies with DD and we saw lake house.. i won't tell you about it in case you want to see it.. glad we got to go and get out.. i did not eat much dinner (salad with some turkey) knowing I would be eating popcorn.. can't break that yet... and I know everyday weight flucuates so a weekly or monthly reading is the best and then avg .. but still it is an addiction for me... but today scales were up a pound from yesterday..so i am gonna keep my weekly weight at yesterdays.. haha.. it says I have reached my goal!! my first 10 lbs gone...
sarah- what disc are you referring to.. I would like to hear more about it.. I believe there is some truth to that.. I see you are steadily going down on your scale.. what calorie range or plan are you doing?? sorry I don't know that yet.. Nori- That dreaded TOM .. what a bugger but it will soon be over and normalcy will return.. do you find you have to do anything different to help with weight gain or bloating..or anything that helps.. I hear walking helps with bloating.. i try water pills if it gets really bad.. i also hear tomatoes is supposed to be good.. keep up your good work.. !! so many goals met.. MO- I will have to look back over the posts to find out what cookies Nori is talkin about.. ok well tata til later.. Kim |
Hey Kim! Thumbs up or thumbs down on the movie? I started out doing weight watchers. However, it was very tedious for me to always be figuring out the points and journaling. So I've slacked off. I am trying to eat less processed food, and make better choices. Have you read the book Superfoods Rx? It's amazing. You really look at food differently when you think about what you can do for your body. (Don't get me wrong - I'm still having slip up days where I have donuts and everything....I'm trying to reduce it every day.)
Here's a link to the cd: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/159...Fencoding=UTF8 Congrats on your loss!!!!!!!! |
hypnosis
i bought a hypnosis cd one time and tried it but your suppose to relax and just sit back and listen but I was never able to relax cause even once my kids go to sleep I have to listen out for them cause when my husband falls asleep he's dead to the world. Even when he's awake he does't hear them half the time. I've been trying to find what I did with it so I could give it another try but I have no idea what happened to it.
My hair was down to my waste and it was getting on my nerves so I had it cut the other day. It's pretty short. I do that every few years. I let my hair grow all the way down and then get it all cut off and I've always donated it for the wigs for children going through kemo and I could have kicked myself cause I had thought about it all day and then completely forgot until I got up from the chair and saw all my hair lying on the floor. |
Serena - I was wondering how in the world you'd get a peaceful moment to listen. LOL Bless you for taking care of your family first. I bet your new LIGHT hair feels great!!!!
|
Mo-ooooooooooooo
Nori-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Kim-mmmmmmmmm Everyone else-eeeeeeeeeee Come out come out wherever you are!!! |
evening all.. well all are asleep.. ahhh the sound of quiet...... oops spoke too soon..19 yr old just pulled in from work.. oh well..
I did not exercise and today my as* feels like it is twice as big as usual..if that is even possible.. i like exercising it makes me feel toned.. so i thinki will do at least leg lifts and some crunches b4 bed to not feel guilty.. i also am afraid of what the scales will read.. .. serena what a lovely gesture you do with your hair.. hi sarah, mo, nori... catch you all later,, thanks for the congrats.. I love to be a loser .. Kim |
Thursday
Hi ladies:
I was off yesterday for the kids last day of school. I went to DS school and then we went strawberry picking. DD had a party and then her piano recital so it was a busy day. The pool filled up last night. Tonight I'll start the pump/filter and hopefully the water will warm up, we threw a solar cover on last night...I don't know if they work or not?? Kim: congrats on the loss!!! A quick hello to everyone else, busy this morning after taking a day off. Mo |
hi everyone..
mo.. yes those solar covers work awesome!!! but you have to leave it on.. a few days .. mine did not want to wait that long.. so just covering it in the evening and a little in the am it warms up 1 degree each day ours is 74 now.. it was 69 when we opened it.. as far as exercises in pool... the stuff i do is lay on back then using your arms get your legs to the fromnt of you then you are on your stomach and I go back and forth like that.. hard to explain,, but you will feel it in your abs.... experiment.. the movie (LAKE HOUSE) was good, thumbs up..a little slow, won't tell you anymore tho.. did my watp 2 mi.. i like how I feel afterwards... i find in summer i gravitate towards more fruits and veggies.. just don't feel like big heavy stuff, and I get fuller faster... any of you like that?? hope it helps me lose those pounds!! The dreaded scales have crept back up to 232... i know it is just flucuating but it is still annoying.. i should be in the 220's next week for sure.. i am a bit hungry so i will go eat.. see you all later!!! Kim |
I swear my 14 month old knows the keyboard. I had a long post all ready to hit enter and she hit the Esc button once again!:o
Talking about movies. I watched Freedomland last night. I wasn't overly impressed. I usually love Samuel L. Jackson movies, but this one was just so sad to me. I need to go see The DiVinci Code still. Anyone seen it? How did it compare to the book? I loved the book. I'm down 4 pounds form Monday, so my TOM water weight is off. Kim - I love fresh fruit and veggies, so summer is a much easier time for me to eat healthy too. We're on our 5th watermelon in the last 10 days or so!! And cherries are almost here. I make these killer cherry chicken lettuce wraps. Yum! Serena - I'm like you - let my hair get real long and then chop it all off! I've only donated to Locks of Love 1 time though - they need 12 inches and usually I don't let it get that long. Melina wasn't acting like herself this am, so I'm not going to the gym. I'll see how she is later on and we'll go for a walk outside. It's supposed to hit 85-90 today though. Hi everyone! |
Did I mention that I'm starting a part time job on Monday? I haven't worked (outside of the home) for 2.5 years. I went and bought some new make-up yesterday. I have turned into a mascara and lipgloss girl since staying home all the time. I bought some new lipstick and blush. Anyone tried Clinique's Black Honey lipstick? It's so nice. Don't let the "black" scare you off - it's not goth-like at all! Semi-sheer almost a berry. So many of my friends like it - it really looks good on anyone I think - no matter your coloring.
|
well howdy all.. just thought i would jot down my days menu.. see how it looks in print..hahaha
B: 2 c cof w/ splenda & 4 t coffeemate apple w/ 1 T nat. PB L: (2 oz) deli Turk breast w/ let, tom, onion, banana peppers, mustard, and 1 t ital dressing. Snack: apple, 2 cheetos. D: 1 and 1/4 C Chicken Tetrazzani (chick, noodles, cheese and mush soup) 1 pc garlic bread. Green tea w/ 2 t cof mate total calories today ... only 1080.. plus I exercised.. i will go have a light snack.. probably couple hundred calories.. just to bring the numbers up.. i am a tad bit hungry and I did not really have much veggies so i should go eat that.. although those stupid oreos are calling to me... but i never like the after taste i get from sugar or chocolate.. so looking for other options... i think another apple with pb.. yum!! ok later..Kim |
Kim - I could never get by on so little food! Is that a low day for you? I was LOL about your coffee though. I have to add so many calories in for my coffee too because of my addiction to coffeemate!! I use the flavored full sugar stuff that's like 35 calories a T. So I eat like 100 calories of Coffeemate a day.:o
Well, today we were planning on going up to the mountains for a hike, but Melina woke up so tight in her chest and coughing. She's had mild cold-like symptoms for a coupple days, but today she is sick.:( BTW - I saw the preview for Lake House yesterday and it does look good. I justrented 8 Below and want to watch it this weekend. Hope everyone has a good weekend. And a healthy one!:carrot: |
oh well grand total ended up being 1540.. i am just not sure where I should be calorie wise.. the calculators all say i should be taking in more but i am just not wanting the food... i guess because i am eating mor ewhole foods it fills me up longer and fuller.. so i will just have to kinda play with it and see where it gets me.. as long as the "trend" each week/month is downward i am making progress, right??
I am really toning up so when fat comes off i will be trim underneath, not flabby...so muscle is going to make weight go up a tad, i have a great attitude and trying to keep it.. i am trying to tell myself now i am skinny and shedding off this illusion of weight..haha, and that i am a beautiful person inside and out and worth the effort i am putting into myself.. i have been having such a negative and down beat impression of myself and no one else is going to be my sunshine so i have to do it for me.. we beat ourselves up alot but do we build ourselves up?? i have to live me i might as well like me.. haha... i kind of meditated on it in the tub last night.. and it really helped with my positiveness today.. we live at the shore so we pulled in our crab pots today, and are having crabs for dinner..corn on the cob too.. probably make a couple chicken tenders for the kiddies too.. you all have a great day! Kim |
cool! 8 below is out!! I gotta go rent that thanks Nori!! yes that is a low day for me.. but i did get up to 1500.. i was up aroundf 1900-2000 but onlyt losing .5 a week so i was thinking of dropping it back to 1700-1800 a day.. i just haven't been real hungry.. so i will probably have a real hungry day this week where i even go over and it will balance out more than likely... you know those days where u can't seem to ever get full?? well bye..Kim
|
If you feel satisfied and healthy eating where you are at, then that's probably good for you. Sometimes when someone isn't eating enough though their weight loss slows or even plateaus. So maybe you aren't eating enough for your metabolism either? I aim for a 1,000 calorie deficit 5 days out of the week (500 the other 2) and a typical day is between 1,500-1,800 calories a day. I eat 300 calorie "meals" about every 3 hours throughout the day. So, sometimes 5 and sometimes 6 meals. I burn on average 500-800 calories through exercise - with a day or two at 1,000.
|
kudos to you for embracing the skinny you!!!! she's in there!!
|
hey where is everybody?? busy weekend i guess.. well I was so not structured today.. went to a picnic.. and ate all this stuff i normally do not!! my calories were way over..but since i have been way under for many days i think i will be ok..hope hope.... will let you know how i do at weigh in.. ok my right hand itches ..is that money coming in or going out???/ as my grammy would say.. lol...
hey exercise question... should i exercise 3-4 x a week or 5 x a week?? i am new to getting back in shape.. and i know the body needs tiem to repair.. so what are your thoughts??? ok well see you all tomorrow.. night! kim |
Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. My MIL is in town, and we went to San Diego to visit my husband. It was great. We went to the Gas Lamp District, Sea World, and Old Town San Diego. I love sightseeing!
Kim - since you are new to exercising, I would recommend 3x a week to start. Listen to your body. You'll know when you're ready to move up! Plus, it also depends on whether you are doing just cardio, or cardio and strength. Nori - hello! What will you be doing for your part time job? I love the Black Honey gloss from Clinique, too! :) Mo - hi! :) Hope everyone had a great weekend, Sarah |
Monday
Hello ladies:
DH said he weighed today and gained 5 lbs! He said he's going to start dieting again today. Hopefully I will join him. At least maybe he won't keep bringing home the bag of milkduds anymore! I'll try to weigh in tomorrow if I remember. I actually have TOM again I think! I'll have to break down and see the doctor eventually. I'm making quesadillas for dinner, I'll just try to go easy on the cheese. It rained here the entire weekend and the fireworks were cancelled. My sister decided to bring the kids away Wed and Thur nights so I either need to do some serious cleaning or find a good book to read! Anyone have any reading suggestions? I'm trying (again) to read We Were the Mulvaney's but the writing seems so dragged out, I'm losing my interest. Well, I skipped lunch to be able to leave early, I'll check in tomorrow. Nori: that lipstick sounds nice. I hope you had a great first day of work! Kim: I need to post my menus too to keep honest, I'll start posting once I get back on track completely. Sarah: I'm glad you had a good time in San Diego, it's on my list of places to visit before I get too old! Mo |
Hi Mo! Wahoo on DH starting to diet! It always helps when your SO is also trying to be healthy. :) One warning for San Diego - there are so many, um, soliciters/homeless/bums there. This is really not an exaggeration - we went to Burger King. There were a couple of vagrants in the parking lot, and we were approached by two of them. Then, while we were eating, we were approached by two more in the restaurant. Then, as we were leaving, there were at least 6 in the parking lot. It's hard for me, because I want to hand everyone money. While were in Old Town, we were approached by a man who spun himself in circles while asking us for money so he could put a deposit on a gas can because he said he hit a car. It was strange.
As for recommending books, LOL, do you have a weakness for fast food? If so, read "Fast Food Nation." Yucky. LOL If you like FLUFF books, you know, like good reading while sitting at the pool, I recommend the author Marian Keyes. I read "Lucy Sullivan's Getting Married" first, and had to get more stuff by her it was so entertaining. Tell me more about what type of books you like, and I'll keep recommending. :) |
hi everyone..
hey sarah,, i love to read too.. i like a good suspense with some adventure or figure it out book with a touch of romance .. i love them.... I have been reading mary higgins clark.. i liked one of nora roberts books..but most don't intrigue me.... as far as exercisr i do the watp video.. mostly cardio.. leg lifts, knee ups and side steps.. lifting 2-3 lb weights up above head 20x at different times... and some bicep curls.. so how does that count??? Hi mo.. are your TOM's getting irregular?? Mine have been coming every three weeks sometimes.. not normal... i am 43 so doc says early pre meno stuff.. my excuse to really rip into DH and torture him..LOL just funnin.. poor guy... Nori... yes the skiiny me is hostage and I will free her.. this fat lady keeps trying to stuff brownies in her face to keep her quiet... LOL i am soooo determined with the help of my fellow buds to shake this fat away for good.. thanks for any help and posts!! see you all later..Kim |
hey slimkim! it totally sounds like you've got the exercise under control!!! if you ever decide to add a little more weight training (because the 2-3 lb weights you're doing count - but you may not be working all your muscle groups) go check out the book "Body For Life" from your library. There are exercises for every muscle group outlined in the back, and ways to do it without fancy gym equipment.
however, since you like work out videos, i can also recommend the firm. they combine cardio with weight training. i noticed the most difference in myself when i was doing those videos. you can actually rent them from netflix, that way you can try before you buy!!! lol free that skinny girl!!! and when you free her, help me free mine, too!!!! |
thanks sarah! as far as the firm... what kind of weights should i have on hand.. ? do i need any other items.. ? hate to get into it and then find out i need stretchie bands and a ball and etc... i am new this time around.. and this weight is the most stubborn it has ever been.. i am at such a loss with how to gauge my food.. w/w or calories.. maybe my body is just sitting back saying..let's see if she is really committed this time.. if she is then we'll drop some more weight otherwise why bother she's just gonna gain it back.. do you think that is possible.. i mean yesterday i only took in 1400 calories.. and i weigh 232! I am kind of sedentary but move around alot to clean and cook... but i was 230.5 last wed!!! who knows.. ok catch ya later..Ki m

books
slimkim: I'm certainly no expert at this but one thing i learned in weight watchers is that you have to eat atleast a certain amount a day. With WW you have a point system with my weight range I have 24 points a day that I have to eat. I'm alloud extra points during the day but i'm not suppose to go under 24 because your metabolism slows down. Once you lose to a lower weight range then you decrease your minimum number of points. So maybe you aren't eating enough. That sounds funny but it could be true. I don't wish to sabitash you in anyway way so that is just a suggestion. I have also heard that increasing your intake of certain vegetables will help to speed up your metabolism I thinks it's mostly the leafy green vegetables but there are a few others too.
Hi all Speaking of good books, I haven't had time to read in several years now but I use to work at a book store and read all the time and really enjoyed it and I was wondering if any one has read any of the christian romance novels. I read this one series (I can't remember the name at this moment) but it was actually really good. You'd be surprised at how good a romance novel can be without being "dirty". Don't get me wrong I enjoy the others too but I was just surprised at how good these could be. My favorit books are the mystery or even sci-fi. I wish I had more time to read. The most I get to read any more is blues clues, or nick jr books. I think I'm gonna try something different. I'm the type of person that needs complete structure so my husband agreed to let me try nutrisystem. It's actually really expensive but I'm getting desperate. I saw an add for a thing called medifast which is similar to nutrisystem and it's actually a little cheaper but they don't have nearly as large a variety of foods. I looked into jenny craig but they don't tell you how much their foods cost so I looked no further. It's probably not the best thing to try mainly because with eating already prepared meals your not really learning how to cook for yourself but the way I see it, if I can lose the weight I'll worry about the cooking part later. Besides, I think my main problem is the sweets and the snacking in between. If I can teach myself to avoid those 2 things I would probably be OK. It's not like I don't really know how to cook. We stopped frying foods years ago. Every once in awhile we'll treat ourselves by frying french fries and chicken tenders but other than that everything is baked or broiled. We very seldom even have butter in the house. The last 2 times I made pancakes I mixed in a little peanut butter in the mix and didn't even use syrup. My oldest asks for pancakes every day but he doesn't like syrup so it's no big deal for him. |
Hi-
This is my first time on 3FC. I noticed there were some references to medifast and nutrisystem. Please save your money! The food on nutrisystem tastes like an MRE. And for those of you not familar with military fare, MRE's taste like cardboard or worse! AS for medifast, it is mainly a low calorie liquid diet (oprah went on it a long time ago), as soon as you go off the diet the weight comes back with friends! Also, there are some serious medical risks with the diet! I wanted to try Jenny Craig, but, am worried about the cost. I tend to get overwhelmed with all the choices out there for diets and don't know where to start! Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks and have a great day! |
Wednesday
Hi ladies:
Welcome Bren: stick around, we love new blood! Serena: maybe you could do a structured plan using Lean Cuisine and WW frozen dinners. Find a sale and stock up on them. I'm sure most of those other plans have a lot of frozen food. Then you could just fill in with "real" food in between like fruits and veggies. Then again, I'm better at giving advice than taking it myself :o Thanks for the book recommendations. I like all kinds of books...last year I listened to a lot of classical books on audio. Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Madame Bovary, The Jungle, Lady Chatterly's Lover, Great Expectations, etc. Now I'm listening to "We Were the Mulvaney's" (Oprah book). Last night I read a short book called "Night" by Elie Weisel...about a teen and his father and family being brought to Auschwitz. It was very good. I'm on the waiting list for Marley and Me (man and his dog) at the library. I love Wally Lamb, like John Irving and need some new stuff to read. I read fluff books now and then too. Any hot and steamy ones out there????!!!! Yes, my TOM is VERY irregular, always has been. I either never get it or get it continuously which is what's been happening since April 1st. The doctor keeps saying to regulate it with the pill, but I don't want to if I can help it, plus I'm no good at remember to take the darned things. Well the kids are away for two nights with my sister. Maybe I'll head to the library after work and browse. Have a great day everyone. Mo |
mornin everyone.. well this weeks weigh in was showing promise.. still trying to figure what calorie range my body loses good at... i am faithfully keeping a journal.. drinking lots of water, veggies, fruits not much processed stuff.. scales read 230 and I guess since i was 231 last week it is a loss.. not really where i wanted to be.. but any loss is better than nothing.... i am thinking maybe a dietician would be able to help me... we'll see// anyways you all have a great weekend.. we've been busy with jr life guard training for the boys and the girls just got hermit crabs..a summer thing i think.. gonna do the beach later,.. and put the pots out for some crabs..yum! ok bye!! Kim..

Slimkim - try Nori's site (I think she uses FitDay) because it will help you calculate how many calories you need. Don't forget you need MORE calories when you're exercising to sustain losses.
Serena - my friend Shirley went on Nutrisystem. She lost 16 pounds. She said some of the meals are good, but she said some of the soups are just like Lipton Cup O' Soup. My 2 cents - Jenny Craig is priced very closely to Nutrisystem, and when I did JC I enjoyed the foods. However, please remember I'm back here today because not only did I gain the weight back, but I added the friends like Brenda did. Brenda - WW is great. Sensible, easy to follow weight loss. I hear a lot of good things about "Winning by Losing" the book Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser wrote. FitDay or NurtiDiary are great sites where you can track your calorie intake and figure out where you need to be. :) My best advice - drink more water!!! For me, that and exercise have been the most important. My body seems more willing to forgive my cheeseburger and fries when I'm exercising and drinking my water. LOL-Mo-I don't have any suggestions for steamy books. I read one years ago and the characters were named Fabian and Olivia - but I can't find it, and I can't remember the title!!!! Okay - gotta work. :) |
Party!? Need Help
Ok I had a Go Diego Go bday party for my 3 year old a few weeks ago, I set up a fake rain forest out side with streamers hanging down as vines and animals all around for them to search for and play with, and it was a big hit. Now, I'm doing a zoo animal theme for my soon to be 1 year old and am out of ideas. I was planning to just set up a zoo design with animals for the kids to walk around and look at kind of like at the real zoo but I don't really see where that would be fun for the kids to walk around and just look at fake animals. So if anybody has any ideas let me know.
I do have an idea for anyone who is doing outer space theme or similar, such as buzz light year. I did buzz light year for one of my boys one year and instead of getting traditional icecream I bought astronaut icecream. It was a big hit. It's kind of expensive so I searched all over the internet for the best deals. The reason I go to these lengths is because I want the kids to enjoy the party and I don't want the birthday boy to put too much emphasis on presents, which works really well cause last year my oldest son only got 2 presents at his birthday party but he was extremely happy with the 2 he got. |
Serena - I'm like you - I don't want my kids being greedy little boogers who only want presents at their birthday.
I think because the kids will be so young, you absolutely should go with your zoo idea! You could use stuffed animals you have around the house and put them in fake zoo cages! You could set up one of those little kiddy pools with fake fish the kids can swim with, too! I think they'd really enjoy that. If I come up with anything else, I'll write again. |
Friday
Hi ladies:
Serena: I'm glad the party was a hit! Good luck with the zoo theme. The kiddie pool with fake fish sounded fun. Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? We're just going to my Mom's on Monday for a picnic and fireworks. I might work Monday. The boss said I could bring my daughter in with me for the day. She's been asking to come so maybe I will do that, there won't be many people around anyway. If she gets bored I'll just leave early. I started tanning and my body (lower stomach especially) is extremely itchy!! Hopefully this weekend we'll get to use the pool for the first time. I'm getting excited to see two of my sisters in a few weeks. We're all meeting at Lake George in upstate NY. Nori: Where are you? How was your first day at work? We haven't heard from you since then I don't think. Hope everyone is well. Everyone have a great Fourth of July!! Mo |
Work is great. I cannot believe I've only been there a week. I'm catching on fast - I'm so familiar with doctor's clinics, so that'sa plus, but it is a new position for me.
I lost 2 pounds this week. I spent over $1,000 about 8 years ago and lost a ton of weight on a medically supervised diet. I will NEVER spend $ to lose weight again. That's just me. Structured plans work great for many people. For me it's come down to doing what I know I need to do, doing it everyday, messing up somedays, getting back up and getting back on it...it has to be me making good choices because I want to. Learning portion control is ahuge thing for me and that's taken counting calories and weighing and measuring my food. And like Sarah said WATER and EXERCISE have become a major par tof my life. Kim - try Nutridiary.com for logging if you are interested. It's free and once you put in your numbers it'll tell you how many calories you need to lose 1-2 pounds a week. You can track calories you burn through exercise. It works out like math for me usually. Sometimes hormones get in the way. Speaking of hormones. Has anyone here had an IUD before (Mirena brand is what I'm interested in)? My blood pressure has gone up, even with exercise and weigh loss - so doc wants me off of birth control pills, since they can cause that. I have until my next cycle to decide, since she will put it in when I'm on my period. Sorry I've been MIA - hope you all have a lovely 4th of July!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../4thjuly_1.gif |
?
I was gonna try nutrisystem but the last thing I want to do is spend a bunch of money on nasty tasting food. So I guess I'm gonna start going back to the WW meetings and maybe join curves. I still would like to start taking martial arts but I still haven't found exactly what kind I want to take. My church is starting up with softball again and I use to play back in highschool, and wouldn't mind doing it again but their doing a co-ed team and I'm not comfertable with co-ed.
|
Hi nori.. well I have had an IUD for the past 6 yrs... I got the copper T i don't recall the name tho... I have had no trouble with it at all.. in the begiining you may have some cramping and spotting and irregular periods at first.. but being i forget to take pills and i am a bear on the shot it was my only alternative to not having # 7... CONGRATS on your 2 pound loss!!!!!!!! wooo hoooo !!!!! send me some losing vibes {{{{{{{}}}}}}}
we have had non stop company.. so I have been making entertaining stuff and not journalling,,, oops.. I will start again tomorrow.. I just pray for a loss.. this wed.. i think i will i just have to exercise... Serena.. ww is a great program.. if you like support it is worth it.. I will sign up again.. but right now i am doing the at home program.... I already have all the books and stuff but i have been trying to just llok at my calories that takes a little more figuring out and then i will be good to go.. Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a nice holiday! Our's was very nice - my husband got to come home for the long weekend, which was great!
I can't believe it's Wednesday. I really feel like it is Monday! Only the rest of this week, and next week, and then I'm done working, and it's time to focus on our move!!!! My eating went better this weekend. I'm back to focusing on drinking my water and watching my PORTION sizes. :) |
Wednesday
Hi ladies:
Glad everyone had a great fourth of July. Not much new here, still trying to get back on the dieting full time. I'm going to stock up on water and fruit tonight. DS is starting 3 weeks of camp at the Sound School tomorrow so I've got to get him all geared up with sprays, lotions, beverages, snacks, hat, etc. so I guess I'll be heading to Walmart. oh I almost forgot!!! I got my haircut and I got it cut very short!!!! I never had my haircut so short before but everyone seems to like it. I still get a shock everytime I go past a mirror. It's kind of spiky on top and on the sides with a wisp in front of each ear and some bangs cut at an angle. I finally got the nerve to go all the way. DD said I look older and she doesn't like it. DS just kind of laughed. DH said it looked good but that I looked a little like my brother! LOL If I don't get used to it I'll let it grow, but so far I'm liking it. It's very easy to put some gunk in it and squish it around a little. Have a great week. Mo |
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I weighed the other day and was 201!! Hopefully I'll hear that wake up call!!
