No Kobe is my Lab. He is very high strung. My Golden is mister layed back. The walks seem to have taken some of his energy out which is what he needed. He has a wonderful personality but was constantly in my face before. Now he can be happy laying at my feet. It's amazing what a little change like that could do. He's what Cesar would call a high energy submissive dog. Congrats on the 220's Curly.

Hi Everyone!

My internet has been down all day. We had terrible storms all night. My poor dog kept me up because she was scared of the thunder. The chicago river by our house is super high and we're still having strong winds with microbursts. I don't know how long I'm going to have my net up but I'm glad I got a chance to do my calories!!

I lost 1 pound again on my weekly weigh in today. I had my monthly weigh in at curves also and I was down 5 pounds last month which is a big drop from my normal 11 pounds a month. The woman who weighed and measured me said I might be staring a plateu *yikes* just what I've been afraid of! I'm dying to get to one-derland too!

Curly congrats on the 2 pounds!!

Hey There PIC's,

WE're having a heck of a storm here tonight too Val. After a couple days of (very abnormal) snow lol.... it's raining cats n dogs and the wind is really blowing. I'm expecting the power to go sometime. We have candles ready lol. I just hope it doesn't happen til after 24! (If you're a 24 fan you know how I feel )

So far it's been a pretty good week. I faltered a little bit this weekend, but not near as bad as I have been the last several weeks. Thanks to the girls at the store giving me gentle reminders lol... I'm still enjoying my time at the gym. Tomorrow is my long day there. I do a long elliptical, and then the complete circuit... then I'll do some treadmill. I'm upset I may not be able to keep my membership now tho due to the drug company deciding I make too much money to get help from them for my meds. This time I can't blame it on Lee the meds are just plain expensive. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Val~ congrats again gf!!!! WW says a loss of 1-2 lbs. per week is the most healthy.... besides that a plateau isn't necessarily a bad thing, giving your body adjustment time..... and maybe it will stay away for just a while longer lol... woooHOOOO onederland!!! btw, your lil foster is adorable!! I hung out on that site for a loonnnggg time lol.

Petra~ I'm kinda glad to hear I'm not alone in the "gets herself in trouble when she doesn't journal" catagory lol... I've really come to look up to your advice and I guess it's reassuring to know you go thru the same things too... LOL sorry if that sounds kind of hokey.. I don't know how else to put it tho. I've seen the Dog Whisperer a few times. It's just amazing. I bet The Boys are really diggin' the extra attention, not to mention the exercise for you A real twofer!

Curly~ Yayyyy for you for the Two-Zeros!!! Maybe we'll hit Onderland together! Your Kandi was a sweet looking lady! It seems that you were meant to have Chai tho... it takes a special kind of people to deal with special animals.

Angel~ Congrats for getting those eggs in early tonight lol. We had hail here in the last couple days too. I'm sooo glad it didn't damage my car!!! Lee keeps trying to get me to park under cover but its too muddy to walk from there to the house Size 16 Juniors!! Way To Go Woman!!!!!!!! What a victory that must feel like for you!

Well, You all have a wonderful day/evening.... Keep up all the hard work ladies! I love our group Thank you

We have had really nice weather the past few days so now I"m getting worried about what is on the way seeing what you guys are writing. We usually get the Chicago/Missouri weather a couple days later so I guess we are in for it soon.

I got up early to walk the dogs again this morning. Took them out last evening too. I'm sure they are wondering what the heck is going on here. I have come to the conclusion that I am one of those people who will have to keep a journal everyday for the rest of my life. In just a couple days I have myself eating 2000 calories if I'm not watching what I'm doing. They may be 2000 healthy calories but if I keep that up I'll gain my weight back anyway.

I made crabcakes last nite & instead of using bread in them i used the pork rinds.. they were awesome!!

I really do think u have to keep your diet structured... if its by using a journal or by rotating your meals... i am an oddball in that i could eat the exact same thing ... or same 7 or 8 meals and just rotate them and be happy...

so since i eat the same things all the time.. its pretty easy to stay oP.. well that and living in the sticks where if u wanted fast food you would have to drive 20 miles to get it!

Petra the 30's temps are comming back.. at 87 yesterday it was almost too hot for me.. i started out walking with one of those lycra exercise tanks and a t-shirt and after the first 2 miles i was stripping! lol I had bought myself a pair of addias dri fit shorts and they fit great ... but when ya start walking they start crawling up your legs. grrrrr walk 2 feet yank shorts down...

lol i ended up with a lovely outfit of my t-shirt tucked into the fornt of my shorts and hanging down in front of them so everyone passing by couldnt see my lovely upper thighs!

ugh! back to work today... shouldnt be too bad cuz i worked saturday morning so at least my desk wont be overflowing this morning..

didnt get the carpet put down in the bedroom ..but i got most of the things done i set up to accomplish..

Petra: keep up with your journal .. think we both needed a little mental break .. I think the morning strolls with your boys is just what u need to unwind and have some peaceful quiet moments before u get to work and everyone stresses u out! lol

Hi Girls,

I just hafta bump us back to page 1 again. It always surprises me not to find us there lol. I hope you are all having a great day.

Angel~ LOL.. I remember as a kid thinking that my sisters, brother and I fought SO MUCH, and it just couldn't be normal.... well, it is Eventually, they'll be all grown up and living in seperate homes- and they'll be best buds! Just keep 'em busy as ya can during thier break. And, maybe get some good earplugs hehehehe... hope ya had some fun at the gym!

Curly~ I think you think right about you guys needing the mental break... you've been at this for a long time. What's really great is that both of you can just step right back up to the plate and see your goal right where ya left it!

Petra~ ...And Curly is also right about you taking that extra morning time for you and the boys. Hopefully it relaxes you- gives you some time to just zone in on you!

TLB, mom, LisaWY, Jeannie, Turtle, L2L........ Where are you girls???? I know I'd love to hear from all of you again. Ya been gone toooo long!

Val, Gwena, Zoey, Charlie...... (I hope I"m not spacing out anyone cuz you are all so important)

ttfn Ladies!!!! CIAO!!

I'm still stuck, stuck, stuck! I'm seriously thinking of hiding my scales. I'm trying to up my calories, but I made a wrong move at lunch. I kept my portion size small and the heartburn I'm having will make me rethink my food choices.

I did get my work out in today. .5 miles of brisk walking for a warm up, stretching, and weight lifting. I decided to switch it up and rode 2 miles on a recumbent bike afterwards. I would really like to hop on my treadmill, but my mountain of laundry is calling me name.

Val - We had some minor thunderstorms, but nothing like they had farther up north. In fact my brother in law and little niece were in Springfield and they weren't in the tornado's path... thank God.

Angel - I really want to see the Shaggy Dog movie. The dog in it looks just like my boy.

Dee - back at ya.

Congratulations Curly!!! Now THAT is some accomplishment!! Look at how much you've done and how far? WTG!!!

Beatlesfan.....You just have to keep doing what you're doing!!! Believe me...you're body is just trying to fake you out so that you'll give in!!! Hang in there.

Iwmonn.....You've got great support at work, thanks to the girls there. We are all rooting for you!!!

INstead of the Shaggy Dog movie, we went to see Disney"s Eight below. It was a great movie, sort of a tear jerker given the story line and I'm a mushy person with animals. It was based on a true story. Very proud of myself for only having 2 handfulls of popcorn!!! YEAH!!! Didn't want all that liquid pseudo fake butter oil topping clogging my arteries Stayed within all my limits and that was a good thing.
