Charlie, did you have trouble with your plan? Stay in the game baby! I went through a really rough patch, but I'm back on track now. I just needed a kick in the butt.
Just got in from church and had a quick bite to eat. How is everyone today? Rainy and cloudy here.....not much to help to keep you raring to go and staying OP. Already, I instantly crave CARBS!!! Funny (not funny haha but) how the weather affects you. GOTTA STAY POSITIVE though!!! I made these new cinnamon buns by pillsbury this morning for the boys. They are reccommended by the American Diabetic Assoc. so I thought I'd try them as they are made with Splenda and are only 110 cal. 23 gr carbs,3gr fibre AND have 2gr protein. They were pretty good. I only had one and 'auctioned' off my second one for a gazillion back rubs, 2 breakfasts made by ds and a dinner made by other ds!!! haha...if only I could claim those.
Charlie.....COME ON GF!!! baby steps...will do it for ya.
Curly.....Great job on the pound loss!!! woohoo... WTG!!
Petra.....YOU CAN COME OUT OF YOUR NEW CAR NOW!!!! hehe...I have visions of Petra staying in her new car ALL WEEKEND!!!
Beatlesfan.....WOW!!! good for you on the treadmill workout, glad that little *kick* helped
Too cute auctioning food off for help around the house.
My plans for the day are to do laundry, clean my kitchen, motivate my girls to clean their rooms, and make supper. I'm making broccoli casserole for supper tonight, but opted for lower fat versions of the cheese and cream of mushroom soup. I know it will still be calorie laden, but just a smidge won't kill me. That and my daughter requested that I make it.
Angel-you are killing me. I have not been in my car all weekend. I did attempt to take the boys for a ride last night. Kobe is totally nuts in the car. He wants to sit in my lap while I'm driving. Picture that. He also throws a doggy temper tantrum when I get out of the car and go into a store without him. He insists he has to get out and go with me. It makes it no fun to take him anywhere. Poor Buddy never gets to go anywhere with me anymore because I can't take him and leave Kobe home (although I'm tempted sometimes). I was hoping the bigger car would help but it didn't do much so it looks like I will have to put up another barricade in this one. He actually jumped out the window of my subaru once so he always rode in the back with a barricade after that. I'm actually still pouting about having to spend the money on a new car. The mechanics gave it two thumbs up and were impressed with the price I paid for it. Seems I did a good job for a single woman.
I've been in a bit of a funk lately. Still OP. I think this is so much a part of me now that it would take a lot to really get off course but even I haven't been consistently journalling lately--yes, me the journalling goddess. I've given up on egg counting. I did still lose a pound this past week. As of tomorrow, I will have been at this for a full year officially. I think Curly must be having an anniversary soon too.
I meet with a group of women at my church once a month and we met yesterday. One of the women commented that not only has there been a transformation in me physically she can tell that I am now really at peace with myself. That was a nice thing for her to notice. I also seemed to have rubbed off a little on one of the other women who has decided to eliminate all the "whites" from her diet and has started to read food labels much more carefully not that she was ever really overweight.
I went shopping at BJs again yesterday. I am convinced that someone who buys for them is either a low carber or is very sensitive to this issue. There are products there that just can't be coincidence.
I just got back from womens work out world. It's snowing here today!
Charlie are you having trouble following a low carb diet? I tried one and I couldn't stick with it either. Don't give up though. You might want to try another plan. You don't need to do low carb to lose weight!
Angel those cinnamon buns sound really good but I doubt I would be able to stop at one! Good job on all your willpower!
well its not really that i can't do this plan, when i stick to it the plan really works, its my motivation i lack having any of it.i have never really been a motivated person at anything for a long period of time,so this is no different,it does not matter what plan it would be that i am on,it would be the same. so its something that i will have to work out in my own brain i guess
phew...glad is Monday!!! Lately, the last few weeks I've had a free-for-all mentallity on Sundays.....and it shows. My food log was almost 2000 calories and I know alot of them were bad carbs. I know better but I just had them anyways. Today seems like a fresh start, been doing some spring cleaning cause I know its around the corner!!! Going to have a bite to eat for lunch and then head out to the gym. Yesterday is in the past and was only one day.....

Valerie Joy.....Good for you 1 pound gone forever!
Petra and Curly......OP for a whole year! You guys will get there!
I have a new book 'Yoga for old babes' (or something like that), and a new video, WATP, so maybe I can get some exercise in on the days that I don't get out for a walk. I can't really get into a lot of exercise plans because due to back surgery on L3,L4,L5 & S1 I am limited to lifting no more than 20#.
Greetings to all PICs. Hang in there.
I added a picture to my profile, if anyone is interested.
I left this morning knowing that I had forgotten something... I forgot my water bottle. I don't take money to school with me that way I can't rationalize my need for a goodie. Thank God a co-worker had a 24 pk of water and let me have one. Gotta love sweet people like that.
I am stuck at 180 still, but I'll take that for now since I was off the wagon for a bit. I bought some skinny cow ice cream sandwiches and they are quite tasty, but my husband ate 3 of them!
Congrats on the weight loss Val!
Great pic Zoey! I love your props! Enjoy your yoga.
Beatlesfan....yum yum...love those skinny cows!!! My boys eat them more than I do these days. Have you tried the mint flavour? Thats my fave.
Zoey.....So nice to put a face to the name now.... Were those gifts you were holding up?
Valerie.....YOU ARE DOING SUCH A GREAT JOB!!! another pound...WTG!!
I went to the gym today and busted my butt. After yesterday's blow out I really needed to get back into it. It made me feel great!! ...I really wish the gym was open on Sundays, I find there's really not much to do and I get bored easily. Note to self.....duh? DO SOMETHING ON SUNDAY'S!!!
