Thanks Val. That squeaky treadmill is worse than annoying. I think it's at just the right pitch to hurt my head after a while. It totally drowns out the gym music, and if I use my mp3 player I have to turn it up so loud I'm gonna cause serious damage to my hearing... ahhhh whatayado?? lol.
And thanks too for the info about Curves. I sort of gathered from some of your other comments that the equipment was set weights, otherwise you would be able to challenge yourself more. do they also have cardio? Maybe you could explain to them the circuit is not enough for you anymore but (since you like the convienence of how close to home it is,) you would consider using their place for cardio workouts for a reduced fee? Just a thought.

Curly~ what did you spend $100 on not get meat?? LOL... Never mind- silly question. I do it all the time. hehe it infuriates Lee

Petra~ Can you imagine ANYONE who could stick to Ornish's plan faithfully for any length of time? LOL... it's def a tough one!

It's still nasty here. Lee checked the rain guage this morning, 3.20" in 24 hours... can we say YUK!!

Well Ladies, I weigh in tonight and the scale this morning said good things.
I'll pick lightweight clothes and just not eat for the rest of the day ..

No, really, I wear the same thing every time, and I started eating regularly a few weeks ago, so my weight is not a starving weight anymore lol. I do wish these meetings were in the morning tho lol...

Hi everyone. I had a really long day yesterday. I think I saw 30 patients in one day. I took the boys to day care for the first time too. They came home exhausted so I think it was a good day for them. They are going again tomorrow.

Val-that's a lot of money for Curves. If they had more stuff or better hours it might be worth it but I think I'm with you on that one.

Dee-I'm not planning on writing a book. I want to open my own weight loss center some day.

Angel-have a good time with your friend.

Where is everyone else? Charlie, Gwena? TTYL

I had an ok day here. I bit higher on the calories then I like.

Exercise: 45 minutes curves, 45 minutes walking

I agree with Petra.. dont know why but i am sooo tired.. been havin those pre menopause night sweats so i am waking up every 2 hours.. then when its time to get up i feel like i havent slept... plus the pollen is terrible here & driving me crazy.. I am very much looking forward to the weekend!!

Dee wooshed!!!! ok di did better today walked 3 miles this morning, then went to work out tonite.. calories are good carbs were ok... I need a challenge!!! lol

Hi Girls,

Wow, where'r all the PICs today? I've never seen us this quiet before. Holiday coming up, everyone must be busy. I'm working thru it, as usual. Open 365 days a year lol.

It started raining here again tonight... *sigh*.. Yesterdays paper showed scenes from Seattle- people hula-hooping in the sunshine lol... and a pic of here, umbrellas and coats... things are really goofy these days hehehe...

Yup I woooshed. 5.5 lbs this week. I actually cut back on my gym and am wondering if that did it?!?! .. It just feels good

Dee congrats on the 5 pounds!! Wow!!!

I've been starting to figure out my deficit everyday. I was just aiming for 1600 calories or less a day but now I'm aiming for a 1000 calorie a day deficit. It makes more sense especially now since my calories a day needed for weight loss is going down!

Thursday: 1664 (836 deficit) 45 minutes elliptical, 45 minutes weights
Friday: 1697 (1018 deficit) 45 minutes curves

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a good Easter! I went out for dinner and had a steak & no exercise today since both curves and WWW were closed! So I had a very low deficit today. I'll be back on track tomorrow

Saturday: 2073, 695 deficit - 45 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes weights
Sunday: 2145, 234 deficit - no exercise

Hmm I don't know that much about setting up challenges. I've only been in the one. What type do you want? Maybe an exercise challenge this time?
