Well, journalling seems to have paid off a little. I didn't have to post as big a gain as I was fearing. I'm only 4 lbs up from my all time low so I just need to keep on this path and we'll get back to where we need to be.
yeah Petra, as much as we hate it....journaling does work!! I had a nice surprize this morning of a 2 lb loss!!! wooohoooo Just came back from the vets office and had a heart to heart with the vet about my cat. Hard to believe that she's almost 21yo and although she's got some health concerns......it's not her time yet. I was almost balling like a baby
hellooooo. How is everyone today? I dashed off to the gym and got in an hours worth of workout. I hate it when they close so early!! Any exciting plans? We've got a bbq to go to, my neighbour is moving to Alabama and we're having a pot luck street thing for them. I made some choc chip cookies and was verrry tempted to have one until I checked and 1 little ol' measly cookie was 3 PTS!!!! I don't think I'm going to waste it on one cookie!!! See? I'm learning....its all about choices. Hope everyone has a great weekend. We have a heat advisory on right now, and I know some of you must have it alsol......stay cool!!
and yes ugg is short for UGGGG-LEEE.. the peach kitten and the graykitten are just beautiful , however this lil guy who popped up after i thought i only had 2 kittens under my house, and i looked at him and said "shew arent u ugly... HOWEVER..
what he lacks in beauty he more than makes up in personality!! he is the only one of 3 who will even come near me! the pretty one is Missy the momma, she even let me pet her yesterday!!!! quite an accomplishment for a kitty who woul run in the woods when i opened the door!

I'm somewhat back on track.... I've been monitoring my intake again.. getting ready to actually break out the points calculator again... I've missed my meetings now for 4-5 weeks but I've already asked lee not to let me make excuses for not going next week. Thankfully I still haven't gained anything since getting back from vacation- other than the usual 2-3lb fluctuation when one weighs daily (at least once ).
Angel~ You are SOOO right. It IS all about choices. Hmmmm... I think I'll post that lil saying right by Petras rules lol... Hope you had a great (and OP) time at the bar-b-que!

Has your lil siamese wannabe got it's points yet? Lee thinks Ugg is absolutely adorable lmao... he's such a sucker for any lil kitty. hehehe... ours are getting bigger every day. We have appts for the 2 boys to get fixed on Monday (but since Sam won't come to us yet we had to get a trap from the humane society). They are great! They'll pay for the neutering (and the spaying if we can catch the momma cat)... but we do have to pay for shots. It's a fair trade. I just hope I don't wake up and find Clyde in the trap or worse yet.... a skunk

Just got back from the gym. I have a confession to make....I was a fan hog!! hehe....well no one else was there, so I put both upright fans on full blast. woohooo
Well what a surprise! We actually managed to trap all the cats and get them to the vet this morning... Lee called to tell me all was well and everyone had gotten NEUTERED.... mama was not a mama lol... I just assumed since he was adult, and the others were hangin' out with him, it was mom...
Anyways, the deed is done. And Sam has been even somewhat social, letting me pet him a tiny bit. I tried to hold him but that was tooo much for now.
It was sooo hot today at the house.(I'd hog the fans if I had em for sure Angel heheheh). So nice and plesant at work, but that's right on the coast. (I was tempted to offer to work overtime ).. I have the next 2 days off, and our plan is to get up waayyyy early and get some tree work done around the property before it gets to warm. I'm thinking I can sweat some of this off. I'll def need to keep an eye on the water intake. I've gotten sloppy there and I really can tell the difference.

Hi Valerie!! I'm so glad you posted. I was beginning to wonder if you were okay or sick. Don't get discouraged!!...yeah, I know....easier said than done. You have done an amazing job so far AND you are also working right now. Big changes!!! Its hard to fit it all in, but don't give up!!! I'm rooting for you!!!

Lee hadda go get another estimate on his car...(which he got, for $500 less than the est that the insurance guys gave) The insurance Co. seems to want to just total the vehicle. I have been having a rough time of it recently. Sunday I had 2600 calories, Monday I had 1900 calories and today I had 2097 calories. I just can't see to keep that number down with my schedule the way it is now.
At this point I'm pretty much just maintaining my weight.. or possibly even gaining. I weighed in at 196 today. I'm just hoping that was a fluke and I'll be back at 192 or less on my official weigh day Friday.
Morning girls!!...How is everyone today? Well wonders upon wonders, I woke up to find TOM!!! blech! Hate him. Anyways, I'm taking today as a (much needed) day of rest. If anything today, I might get some good ol' walking in on the treadmill. Not much though..... Just did my 'Martha' for the day. We have these fabulous peach tree's in the backyard that we inherited a year ago (when we moved here) and the peaches ARE FABULOUS!! Nothing like the typical clingstone peaches in a can, these are much smaller and white inside. Last year unfortunately, we ate some but not knowing what to do with them, most spoiled or the birds/rabbits got to them. Well today I had the boys out peach picking and we blanched them, skinned them, pitted and sliced them....AND FROZE THEM!!! What a process, but now we have lots of yummy fresh peaches anytime. We probably did about 10 dozen with lots more on the trees still to ripen. It gives a new appreciation to DelMonte !!!!
Yesterday the electric company was doing some work and didnt get it fixed correctly and at 4:50 my landlord calls me at work and says..."i dont know if u are aware of it or not but the electric has been off since @ 2 pm and i am like OMG OMG. u see it was 103 here yesterday and even on a semi hot day with 3 ac's blasting my "shack" barely ever gets under 85 degrees.. now imagine what it would be like with all the windows shut and no fan or ac within 3 hours.... so i go flying from work.. thank goodness i am only a mile from my work i get home and its 130 degrees in my house... poor chai ( he's a nordic breed with tons of hair)& the kitties.. i get chai outside and take him in my car to my mom's house... then come back and put the kitties in carriers and take them up to cool off....
thankfully everyone was ok, chai had taken his gravity fed water dish and dumped the water all over the kitchen floor and rolled around in it to cool off..
so by the time the electric was back on and the house cooled enuff i got everyone back home... then
today i had to drive to annapolis maryland ( bout 80 miles each way)for an admin asst. seminar so i had to leave my house at 530 am, and i just got back home
i have about 1.5 hours and then i have to go take care of my grandmother... ummm shes not doing well she had a massive stroke on sunday... and she has a DNR (do not recesitate) which also means that she wants no medical attention (ems or hospital) the hospice ladies say she has maybe 1 week ... its sad but its to the point where .. if she passed it would be a blessing for her shes 95 .. and really has no quality of life right now...
sorry to be a bummer... if ive been quiet for a while i am just emotionally drained,, as a matter of fact i have taken off work tomorrow and friday
becuz i am just worn out...
tho i am very proud that today i ordered a crabcake for lunch and it came with bread and fries and ya know what? i ate the crabcake, the tomato slice, and the lettuce!!
P.S> I changed my challenge to Labor day!!!! so we have a labor day challenge!!!
