I am back from vacation. Boy, glad it is over. It was kinda hard having our 8 month old and almost 3 year old sleeping in the same room. I stayed the same with what I weighed last tues. Hope to lose 3 lbs by next tues. Right now, I have a cold and I have not energy. I missed my workout on Monday, but plan on working out weds. Funny, I do not feel like eating much, sometimes, I can not even taste the food! I guess that is good for now. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!!
Haley: You are doing so well with your weight loss. I know it was very hard for me too lose weight when I was in school. We would study, study and study. And the stress of tests would make me want to eat. You are doing a much better job than I did when I was in school! Cheers to you!
Deanna: Welcome to our group! It has helped me in many ways. I liked looking at your journal. You and your hubby, are so much in What such joy you both have for each other.
Celeste: I am with you. When I was 155lbs, I was a size 8 and 10. I felt great! I did have a little tummy flap that I did not like and now I know that I will never be able to get rid of it on my own. It was excess skin. When I get down to that weight again I will get it removed. Anyway, sorry for rambling on...I looked and felt great at the weight of 155 and was very happy. Like you said maybe that is your weight. Are you happy with that Celeste?
Rikki: I asked myself the same ??? How can I keep the weight off for the rest of my life. I know that I need to do something like become a personal trainer or teach some workout class. And do it for a lifetime. Sometimes it is hard to keep going, by I have a major goal in april of going on a trip with just only my hubby and having me wear something really sexy. I hope you find something like a long term goal for yourself.
Melanie: I think that it is a great idea not to weigh. We all need to take a break sometime from the scale. Happy Annversity. Hope that you and your hubby made some fireworks!!!! It will be our 4th in april. BTW, I love fondue!!!! Happy 4th!
Nicki: Do you keep track of what you eat? That helps me...I know I hate it when the scale does not move....Love to see the new kitty!!! Is it a fur ball?
Debbie: How are you doing sexy mama???
2beautiful: How lovely are you. Good luck on your weigh in on Wed.
BTW: The biggest loser is on tonight, I love that show. It help me to be on track. But, I do not understand how they lose so much weight so fast. Maybe, it is longer than a week, does anyone know?
Cheers!
Karen

No weightloss AGAIN. I ate more protein, did something different with my running (I did intervals).
Karen, I'm trying to be happy with my weight. I talked to my mom and she thinks that 145 is a bit unrealistic for me. While I was talking to her, I did realize something. I think I've lost about 5 lbs since my birthday and now. But I've gone down a size! So, maybe I am trimming down but my weight isn't going to show it right now. And I think that I do have excess skin too, so maybe that's why I won't lose anymore weight.
So, what I am thinking of doing is just not weighing myself every week. Maybe every 2 weeks. I'm going to discontinue my subscription to WW's, because I've learned what my portions are and how many pts are for most foods.
OH! And my boobs shrunk!!! I went from a 38DD to a 36D!
BTW Karen, I really admire you for going on vacation with 2 small kids!! I went on vacation with my friend and her little girl who was almost 2 at the time.
O M G, it was NUTS!
Yes! It was very hard to vacation with two kids. We cut it a day short. I think that we will do only a two nite stay.
I know what you mean about the boobs. When I lost my weight before the kids. I lost my breast volume. I looked and felt like a man. After some careful thought and seeing about 5 different drs. I had a boob job. That was the best thing for me. I felt more like a women. But, now after breast feeding two babies in 3 years, a think i will need a lift. Funny, how I lose it in my breast first. Anyway, I admire you. You have kept the weight off for so long and did it the right way. Now, I have heard that the hardest part is keeping it off. They say that it is easy to get it off. I am not so sure I agree with that. For me it is hard too. But, I know that you can do it, you already have! I think you look great Celeste! And can not wait to be where you are at. See ya!
I am so low energy right now but thought I should check in.......I am also maintaining my weight and I really don't want to have to start eating 1200 - 1400 calories per day to lose more weight, ya know? Besides the occasional eating out, eating less calories per day is really the only thing I could be doing differently. Oh well, if that's what it takes I guess I will have to do that. The only reason I started eating between 1500 and 1800 cals per day was to kick my weight loss into gear because it slowed down when I was eating 1200 - 1400. Just feeling like I need to do something different in order to get different results. Well, I am off to force myself to exercise, haven't had much energy or motivation, but I am doing it anyways because I won't like myself if I don't!
Melanie: I can understand were you are coming from. Weight loss is a lifetime journey for me. There are times when I feel down in the dumps. But, I try to remember the outcome that I want and move on. Also, for me when I do not execise I get depressed. It gives me so much more energy when I do it. But, sometimes the trouble is to just do it. I hope that you get your back! You have done so well.
Just thought I would pop in to say hey!!! Seems I have been dodging hurricanes lol. We just got lot of our new citizens settled now seems they got to go so we can make room for Houston and Galveston. I live about hour half from there. We have been preparing for the storm. Say a prayer for us and I will holler to yall later. Diet still great inches going and walking harder and using more weight.
Hey guys! Just checking in, sorry I haven't been around much. I'll try and post tomorrow. My kitty is pretty sick. BUT he drank water on his own tonight, and that's very good news!
I'll talk to you guys soon! Welcome to the new members, also! Luv ya guys!
Hey Debbie - Please stay safe - we will say prayers for all our Texans!
Haley - Will you be affected by the hurricane? I hope not sweetie!
2Beautiful - Good job on the loss - 2 lbs lost is a perfect pace
Hey Nicki - Sorry about your kitty How are you doing on eating/excercise?
Hi Karen - Thanks for your encouragement the other day.....I am still keeping on, but I am just not expecting major results anymore.....it's too defeating to keep my hopes up and constantly get let down. I am thinking I may have to start working out 2 times a day (5X per week) instead of once a day? Something to kick my weight loss back into high gear. We'll see how my weigh-in goes tomorrow and then I will figure out what I need to do. How's your contest going?
Celeste - I really think that maybe you hit the nail on the head when you said your weight is staying the same because you are becoming more toned.....muscle weighs more than fat and you have continued to go down in sizes, so I would say that your weight doesn't matter as much as how you feel about your body now. You might be at your goal - imagine that!! I think you are doing wonderfully and I am so encouraged by all your dedication.
Hope everyone is doing well. Hum....Where is everyone????
Melanie: Good luck on your weigh in. I hope that it goes well. Looking forward to see how well you did. I am doing good at the contest. I have not workout for a week because I have been sick. So, I cut my cals back a bit. 1200-1300 a day. Funny, Sometimes I can not even taste the food. I have been losing weight. I think that I may stay on that level of cals if I do not get too tried, and workout too. I want to lose 30-35 lbs. My body fat was 46% and I want to cut that in half. I weighed in at 225 and now I am 213 and in the middle of week 3. But I had my monthly vistor at my weigh in. Hope too lose 2.5 lbs a week.
Nicki: Glad to hear that your kitty is drinking water. Hope that it will eat soon and feel better.
Debbie: Hopefully, things will get better soon and hopefully it won't too bad.
2beautiful: Happy weight loss too you! I like it when I lose weight and eat really bad. Good job!
Don't have much time to update right now. We will probably get some wind/rain from the hurricane (in Austin), but nothing too severe, or I'm hoping it's not too severe. In Houston, where my mom is, she decided to stay in the house and not evacuate because it was taking at least 12 hours to even get out of Houston (not even to get to Austin, just out of the city of Houston, the whole drive is normally a 3 hour drive). She boarded the house up and has lots of food and water for the next three days. I'm kind of worried the phones will go out and I won't be able to check in with her to make sure she's okay, guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Tomorrow is my weigh in, I think I'll be between 200 and 202 cause I haven't really exercised this week.
Melanie, dramatic changes will come, you just have to stick with it. It's hard to stay motivated when you want to see changes a lot faster than they are going to happen. I don't think you need to exercise twice a day. Stick with your once a day, 5x a week schedule and maybe mess with your caloric intake? Or have you already tried that? You've already lost a lot of weight, 16 pounds is a lot, it's like 3 bags of sugar! Those are heavy! Just think of how great you'll feel when you reach your weight loss goal, all of the hard work you put into it will be worth it. Keep going, we all know you can do it!
After missing a weigh-in from being on vacation (where I ate out a ton) and then coming home and skipping a weigh-in, I am finally getting back into the flow of things!
P.S. Haley - thanks for the encouragement, I know I need to be patient! I am so glad you are ok w/ the weather so far.....I will say a prayer for your mom!

Melanie: You did GREAT!!!!! I can understand how you want to lose the weight fast. By this time next year, there will be alot less of everyone! You have helped me so much as you have posted your weight loss each week. It helps me keep going.
Haley: Good luck on your weigh in. I know that you will do well. Hope things are okay with your mom and loved ones.
Nicki: How is the kitty doing? I hope better.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Karen - You are awesome! You have been a great encourager through this journey together! Also, the fact that you are working so hard for this contest also motivates me to keep my booty moving even when I don't feel like it!
I was concerned about my weight loss being at a stand still and one of the Mods (Meg) gave me a really great dumbell weight training routine to start out with to make sure that I am not losing muscle in my weight loss. Also she reminded me of the importance of muscle and how when you have more muscle you burn more calories each day. Since I have only been doing cardio, I am now going to incorporate the weights to see if that helps move things along. If anything, it will just make me more toned and tight......if anyone wants the link to the workouts Meg posted for me, let me know!
