Ugh, my weigh in was not great. I just maintained (Actually I was up .2, but that's because last time i weighed in in socks, and this time i weighed in in shoes). I knew that would happen though, because of all the house stress.

Sarah - I know all about those kind of weigh-ins, hang in there girl and go for the gold next time

Hi Beth - I am so sorry about your father's passing, what an emotional time, I am sure! Welcome back again

Karen- Good for you for all the weight you've lost on this competition! I am so proud of you that you are still going for it

Nicki - How is WW going? I hope you are doing well on it.

Hi Haley - I am probably not much help with the detergent thing.....I usually get All Free & Clear because it is more gentle on sensitive skin. But, I know that if you add baking soda to your wash, it really brightens things up and keeps them really clean

I have been kind of hanging out at the same weight for the last 2 weeks.....I will probably have to get really strict with myself again about what I eat on the weekends and such. I have to! I still have another 30 lbs to go

Well, hope everyone is well......it seems that we are losing our enthusiasm and not checking in as much, huh? Let's change that girlies!

Cool

I have a couple of replies to go. I'm still here. I ordered two new books written by the "Biggest Loser" trainers. I really love Jillian so am interested to see what she says. I haven't weighed in for a long time. I'm rather nervous about it.

I have yet to put down on paper exactly what I should be doing. I feel like I'm in limbo without my new treadmill. I can at least drink my water and not eat after dinner though!

Anyhow, here are the replies:

Melanie, thank you for the condolence and the well wishes. Maintaining is much better than gaining. It's proof you can do it!

Haleys, I am not only budget-conscience, but I'm a clean freak as well. The difference between liquid and powder is enormous. Powder cleans better, is more economical, and lasts longer. The recommended amount of powder can always be cut in half. It still cleans, still suds, and doesn't clog up the washer or cause repairs. I prefer Tide w/ Bleach because if I use half of the recommended amount, one box gets me through two months. If I can't find it in the store, I like Gain w/ Bleach. It's like getting two products in one and I swear by the white of my whites. I also wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have a great one!

Hey Melanie, you can do it! WW is going fine so far. Today was my REAL day of starting, unfortunatly. It was supposed to actually be yesterday, but I didn't do too well. So today was it. I went to visit my sister over the weekend, so I knew I wasn't going to be starting until Monday anyways. Thank you for asking! Weigh in days are still Friday, so that's good.

Karen yeah, I try and eat every few hours! It keeps me from being hungry. Sounds like you are doing good on the BFL program!

Hiya girls! It's been a nutty long weekend. My Mum came into town to visit, so of course that meant days spent pigging out in Chi-town. I swear, Chicago has the best food anywhere! We didn't cab it anywhere, so hopefully I walked off all of those extra empty delicious calories. I don't guess I've shared why I'm trying to lose weight right now, but it is for a trip to HAWAII in February! I just want to lounge around on the beach and not look like a whale, so that's not a bad goal right? Now I just have to avoid McDonalds and Tacobell (my arch-nemeses) and exercise more. YAY! Easier said than done...
As for the detergent question, I go with Wisk with Stain Desolver. It's great, my clothes smell good too. But for great smelling clothes, buy fabric softener sheets for the dryer..they're the best!
Happy losing all!

Just stopping in again to say "hello"! I bought a book recently by Jillian Michaels, the trainer for "The Biggest Loser", and I really like it so far. I really needed to look at the mental side of losing and the first third of the book covers just that.

Still waiting on my treadmill, but at least I know it's coming!

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

Hey guys! I'm sorry I've been a stranger

Things are going well. I'm still losing weight. I lost the 2 lbs that I gained while DH's family was here.

Saturday, I am running the Race for the Cure. Then 10/29 I'm doing another 5K.

Okay, today was weigh-in day.

Here's what we've got:

7/30/05: 204
9/15/05: 197.6
9/22/05: 194.6
9/29/05: 191.2
10/6/05: 191.4
10/14/05: 189.6!!!!

I have finally dropped below 190. This is the first time I've been below 190 without help from medication since July of 2003. I am freaking out!

15 pounds down, almost. Well, for all intents and purposes.

Sorry to everyone for not updating often. Thins are just crazy for me because we're in the process of buying a house. Hope everyone is doing well!

Celeste, I hope your races go great. Congrats on the weight loss!

Suze, congratulations on your weight loss AND the new decade. Awesome!

I am reading Jillian Michael's new book. I love it. It deals with the emotional barriers of losing weight, then eating, then working out. You have to get through the emotional part first.

I think this is why I haven't been doing so well with sticking to anything. I'm trying to change the behavior instead of changing me.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Forgot to post my weigh-in Friday, I am down half a pound......yeah, I know, woopdie freakin' doo! It's not a big loss and I am tired of these tiny spread out losses, so I have no choice but to cut my calories......it's all I can do differently at this point. I got the exercise part down and I am good all week long with eating, but come weekends, I eat too much and it almost negates how well I ate during the week.

Celeste - Good job on the 5k - I hope to do one of those next year sometime - we will see!

Beth - Hope you're enjoying your book!

Sarah - Good job on the weight loss!

Nicki - How's it going chica?

Karen & Haley - Miss you !

Mel, you don't have a lot to lose so a half pound is great! Congratulations!

I weighed in today for the first time in a long time and am at my heaviest weight ever. Blech. I was shocked to see the number, but am working hard to change it.

I am loving Winning by Losing and used her workout plan today plus some additional time on the treadmill. All I can say is WOW! That woman's workout worked my whole body including the lungs! =)
