Howdy All,
What a beautiful morning in my neighborhood. Going to be a wonderful day in the 70's!! I went to the gym last night. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 40 minutes on the elliptical. I feel it in my legs and butt this morning. LOL I really pushed myself to increase my mph and my strides on the ellipitcal and my time. Cant' believe 3 weeks ago, I thought I was going to die after 5 minutes on the elliptical. My next goal is to be able to do it for an hour.

Deerod: The best thing about our wagon..it waits until you are ready to go!! SO jump on!! You are worth it!

Momx3: Yes, I love to exercise. It has become my addiction. Tonight should be a swimming night but I am trying to cut M down to one open swim a week. She is worn out and does so much each week. She won't be happy but we probably will go on a nice bike ride instead. I love the variety of my routine. I think piano is group lesson, so I will have an hour.I figured I would walk around her teacher's neighborhood. I really have to plan my exercise routine to go around her schedule and Dave's.

Jennie: I love swimming. I can feel it in my arms when I am done. What I do when in the shallow end is jump up and down and run in the water with Mallissa. I also do leg lifts too. It works for me. LOL I am sure I look funny but what the heck..I am moving.

Hotcup: You have you to stop you(remember you are worth it) and us. We are looking over your shoulder saying..U can do it!! Luckily the guys in my shop don't bring in food. LOL

Moon: Maintaining is good. Just mix things up this week and I bet you will see a loss. Take your measurements. I really need to do this but I can't find my measuring tape. I sew so I should have 1 or 2..but M loves my sewing stuff and tends to put it all over the playroom. I will find it. I did find her Easter dress 1/2 finished. I am going to try to finish that this weekend. I also have a sun dress I made she just needs buttons on it. Opps forgot about that. LOL I think I have enough material left to make my stepson girls dresses too. Might do that over the long weekend. I love to sew just have trouble finding time.

On the radio last night while at the gym..I thought of Petra. They were talking about the concerts she went to.. WOW, I would of loved to go. Hope she is having a great time.

How is everyone else? Amanda? Lolita? Clipclop, school over yet? Annie..where are you, we haven't heard from you in a while? Sunshine, check in with us! We miss you, same with you Angeleyes and L2L I know I am leaving someone out....don't mean too. LOL So if you haven't posted..POST..we want to hear how you are doing..the good, the bad..and the so-so.

Hugs and Blessings,

Lisa

Good Morning Partners !! Just a real quick hello to let you all know that I am still here.

I survived

The goodies that is (the evil goodies). How's that for an oxymoron? I just imagined they were all stale, full of raisins and maybe with some hair stuck on them. :smug:

I went to the grocery store on the way home last night and even with the two sweet ice cream treats I had once I got home, I came in at 26.5 points for the day. MUCH better than Tuesday. Kroger had wax beans on sale. Woooo practically ZERO points. Got fruit for the turtles and myself and stuff for lunch to pack for three more days of work before I have Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday AND Thursday off.

Okay, this day totally slipped away from me and it's time to get ready for work. I'll check in from work and address the PIC Chick's posts from the last day or so.

Smell that? It's the week end :D (no, not the grill)

Hi Everyone, Busy hectic day. I have been doing really well all week but I jumped on the scale which I shouldn't have and its says that I've gained. I am gonna shove that thing in the closet again. I get so upset when the numbers don't go down but really I have been doing well.
Hot cup, your post made me think of this book I read called She's come undone by Wally Lamb. I feel its totally unrealistic but part of the story line, this girl is over weight and she decides to get skinny by imagening all the food she wants to eat has mold on it. I'm glad it worked for the office goodies, I should try and applly it.

I have to run, I hope everyone is doing well.
talk to you soon.
Jennie

Well I did good today.. we had a big party at work and i stayed OP... went to my workout and walked after!!! hmmm wonder y my scale is stuck again??? :(

Lisa_WY 07-01-2005 07:58 AM

Howdy All,
Welcome to July!! Only 14 days to my vacation! Last night, I walked for 20 minutes while M was at piano and then came home and did RS Dance your pants off. Tonight is my free night of no exercise but I still might ride my bike. WHere is everyone? I checked yesterday and we were on page 2. I am sure everyone is busy with the holiday weekend coming up! Anyone else have plans? I am cleaning out my closet. ( I need to find my smaller pants. LOL ) I want to sew a little and I have some web work to do for my other job. We will be busy this weekend as usual. Y is closed for 2 days. :-( but I will ride my bike and walk instead.

Curlylocks: Good for you for staying OP!! Give yourself a pat on the back!!

Jennie: Throw away the scale! I have become obsessed with the one at work, I don't have one at home. I will weigh myself several times a day. Trying to break myself of the habit. IT is amazing to watch your weight go up and down in an hour. I just laugh it off. My official weigh in is on Saturday and that is the only one that counts!!

Hotcup: Good way to view the "evil" food. LOL Your visual helped me. LOL WOW, you sure get a lot of days off. I am looking forward to my 3 days off. THen I work 4 days and then I am on vacation for a few days. Because of payroll it is hard for me to take a complete week off. I am taking my laptop for my mini-vacation but I doubt I will get online. I use it for movies for M in the car. LOL The one cabin we are staying has no phone hook ups but the KOA has internet access. SO I will see. I want to enjoy the great outdoors while I am gone.

Well, everyone have a great day and check in!!

curlylocks 07-01-2005 08:10 AM

isnt this pretty? i found it on ebay... tho it will create a lot of work for me.. lol cuz my bedroom is white with red accents... so now i have to paint and paper the room to match the quilt! lol :dizzy:

Happy Canada Day !

Good Morning Partners ! It is now July 1st and it is overcast and windy out.. .hmmm when will summer get here :?:

Have been busy busy the past few days. School finished up on Tuesday night, the exam wasn't too bad, although I always think that I could have done better. I have 2 months off until I am back at it.. so now I just have work to contend with and me time :D

I have been so-so on program, but now it is time to kick it into gear. I will attempt to get out each night for a walk and that should help.

Sounds like everyone is doing well and getting in lots of exercising !!

Long weekend for us; however, I don't know what we are going to do. Hubby already went to work.. no rest for the , and I think I may take the pooch for a walk down by the water. There is always lots going on for Canada day, so I will see what kind of trouble I can get up to.

Well I better get my butt in gear. Have a great day and TTYS.

Happy Canada Day!!!

Happy Canada Day, my fellow Canadians!!! :cb: :cb: Living in the States, most people aren't aware that July 1st is Canada Day, everything down here is July 4th!!! all the way!!! Anyways, I just love putting up our flag and having all the neighbours wonder...."what the heck?" hahaha

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile, it sure did take a long time to catch up with the 5 days of posts!!! Nice to see some new faces around here also. Hello to Amanda and Lolita. I've been feeling really run down lately with no energy and low and behold....I have a bladder infection!!! Maybe thats why the strange burning sensation when I go pee....hmmmm? what was my first clue? duh!!! I've had this for almost 2 weeks off and on. Again.... duh? :tired:

Not been making good food choices but now that I've been "HEALED"...I will certainly try to do better. :crossed: Too many posts to address each and everyone of you, but I've missed you all. tc

Gearing up for the Fourth!

I'm at work again. But it's only for two more shifts, then I've got some sweet time off. Did I mention where the President is making his Fourth of July speech from? I'm not on the list to work it yet, but I'm worried I may be. The money would be awesome, but I think I'd rather go through with my plans to be with my family at my brother's new lakeside house. We're celebrating the fourth at Jay's (Pooh's) parent's house on Sunday, so his Mom can be there, and then Monday is to be at my brother's. I'm supposed to bring a veggie platter and chairs. Works for me, I hope that'll be my salvation for staying OP.

No way to catch up with everyone I've missed, so I'll just wish you all the best of luck and to have a wonderful WONDERFUL Holiday week end. :beach:

I Jo-wuffled over four miles last night and although I'm feeling the effects of it today, plan to do it again tonight. :dancer: Go Turtle GO!

petra65 07-01-2005 09:39 PM

Well ladies, I see you have been busy while I was away. I am home early. You may wonder why. Well, have any of you ever been camping with 70,000 other people? Yes, you read right, 70,000. It isn't much fun. I sat next to a staff member on Wednesday night at the concerts so she was telling me the statistics. They are expecting 100,000 by the end of the weekend. The concerts and the speakers were awesome but you have to walk miles and miles and wait in lines everywhere. I have blisters all over my feet. I had to wait for an hour and a half for a shower yesterday. There were lines for the showers at midnight!! I felt like I was in a refugee camp although I'm sure the conditions we had were much better than most refugee camps. Maybe this would have been fun when I was a teenager but it isn't fun at 39. I really don't think it was the camping per se, I didn't mind sleeping in the tent, it was all the teenagers who stayed up making noise until 3:00 am that were a problem. I actually loved cooking on my camp stove. And yes, I stayed on program. I think my conversion to low carb has almost been like a religious conversion. The only thing I ate from a vendor while I was there was a turkey leg.

It was also blazing hot, and not much shade. Then we would have these storms that would come out of nowhere and pour on us. Very annoying. I got sunburned. Anyway, this festival is held in a very small town in PA. so you can imagine the commotion it causes. Also, there were ambulances lined up like you wouldn't believe and you saw them leaving all the time. Mostly heat exhaustion I think, and few people got trampled. Despite the size of the crowd, people were amazingly polite and even the kids were pretty well behaved. You didn't have to worry about anyone stealing your belongings which was nice. I think I will want to attend the festival again but I will either camp off site or stay at a hotel. No more refugee camp experiences for me. In fact, I think I may want to go camping again later this summer just for a weekend to prove to myself that it wasn't the camping.

BTW, if anyone is interested (especially Lisa), the festival is being broadcast live over the internet at www.cmradio.net. It ends tomorrow night. There is an awesome band on tomorrow night around 8:30 or 9:00 called Audio Adrenaline. It is the one concert I am really disappointed about missing.

I'll catch up with you all individually later but wanted to tell you about this trip--it was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. I'll try to put some pics on my website over the weekend but it was hard to get the full perspective in a single picture. This was a sea of humanity like I've never seen.

jennie934 07-02-2005 08:51 AM

Hi Everyone, Happy Saturday to you all. Oone more day until WI and I am not feeling to good about it. I did well all week but for some reason, my body isn't showing it. We'll see what happens.

Petra, that camping sounds a bit crazy it reminds me of a Rave I was dragged to in the 90's at a camp ground but I'm sure it was a totaly different vibe at your concert. I didn't really enjoy the group camping part of it either. Sounds like you did well though staying on program.

Hot cup, have fun this weekend, hopefully you won't have to work on the 4th. I guess it would be a mixed blessing because you'd get money but you have to give up your holiday.

Angel eyes, happy canada day, I never even knew, but now I will. maybe bars can start celebrating it the way we do Cinco de Mayo,, nothing like another reason to have a party! Glad you found out and cured the bladder infection, those can get nasty.

Clipclop, have fun on your summer break, my summer vacation just started too! We've had the opposite here, we've had a heat wave its been over 90 and soooo humid, at least now I can go to the pool.

Curly, nice quilt, and keep up the good work with the WO, you scale won't stay stuck for long if it is.

Lisa, have fun looking for smaller clothes, isn't that the best! I can't wait till I'm doing that, i've been saaving tons of stuff.

Dee, the wagon is waiting, I do that all the time, have a good day and the blow it at dinner. I'm not sure how to cure that one yet bu I'll let you know if I figure it out.

Hi everyone else, Keep up the good work,
Jennie

Louie 07-02-2005 11:27 AM

GDay ! It is Saturday and I feel lost. Usually I get up on Saturday morning, make a coffee, check the computer and then hit the school books. Today.. no studying required.. and I don't know what to do with myself.

For the past 9 months I have had to study on Saturday morning... but not today.. hmmm... what did I use to do on a saturday ?!?!?!

Once the rain stops I will probably take the pooch out for a walk. Yesterday we went out for about an hour. They had the street blocked off just down from our house for Canada Day celebrations, so we walked all along the water and looked at the craft tables etc.

JENNIE ~ good luck with the WI tomorrow !! I hate those weeks that you do really well on program and then are not rewarded on the scale. Funny how much emphasis we put on that darn number !!!

PETRA ~ welcome home. Sounds like you needed to come home for a vacation !!

HOTCUP ~ hope you get to enjoy your long weekend with family.

ANGEL EYES ~ a bladder infection... ouch ! Especially when you are probably drinking tons of water to help with the weightloss

Well I guess I better go forge around the house and find something to do. I could clean.. but where is the fun in that ?!?!

Take care and TTYL

Lisa_WY 07-02-2005 11:55 AM

Howdy All,
Well....Saturday mornings mean WI and WW meeting. So I got up and went. I loss another 2.6lbs. Same amount I loss last week but I am not bummed about it. I am so happy!! I am now down 23lbs!! I finally can say goodbye to the 240's and never will be back there again!! I am 3lbs away from my personal 10% and 9lbs away from my WW 10%. I am hoping to do both 10%'s by my birthday! That is my goal!

Today we have to go to the mall to get Dave's grandson a bday present. Then him and M will take it over. Since I am not welcomed in her home, that feeling goes both ways, I am going to the Y to work out. My family is starved by the time I get done at WW so I have been going grocery shopping afterwards. It keeps me more focused on getting better foods. I have to mow the lawn today. (dave's feet still bothering him) and I might as a treat take M to the Y to go swimming later. They are closed the rest of the weekend. She loves to swim and becuase she was being a brat earlier in the week, we did't go on Thurs. night. Sometimes the attitude gets to be too much!

Hope everyone has a great day and a good 4th of July weekend and a great Canadian Day weekend too!

Petra: glad you had a great time! Sorry about all the people. LOL Didn't they know you wanted in the showers sooner! LOL
