Hang in there Deerod and don't derail your great efforts so far!! What about trying Applebee's for your belated bday dinners? Even if you are not into ww's, the meals are well balanced and low calorie. The grilled tilapia is fantastic and you could also have room for one of their desserts. Just a thought. I would love a larger GF grill, the one I have is very puny. It grills 2 small chicken breasts at a time, not great if there's all 4 of us for dinner. hmmm, come to think of it....I haven't a clue where that is since our move.
I took ds out to lunch and Steak n' Shake was the place he wanted to go to. As I looked at the menu, I thought I took a pretty safe "grilled chicken sandwich" but when I looked it up on Dotties; found it to be 12.5 pts!!! There is no way it is that much, I think that was the points for the fried chicken sandwich. Other restaurants (Chick- fil-a and McD's) have it for 5-8 pts. That is gotta be wrong. boohoo if its not though!!! I mean it was a plain jane chicken breast serving on a bun....even the lettuce was on the side. Mom.....poor you and your dentist woes. I swear I will never eat another Big Mac. The last 2 I've eaten, there's been bone chips in the burger and I've cracked 2 of my teeth on them!! Definitely not good!! Annie.......thanks for the reminder about the Leslie/WATP dvd's. I'd forgotten I had that too!!! Gosh, I swear I could open up my own video store. .....The one I tried yesterday with the excercise ball wasn't very good. Well it was good, but I couldn't keep my balance on it as the ball needed more air. I would have hated to see myself in the mirror doing those moves!! haha |
Just wanted to drop and line and let everyone know that I won't be back for a couple of months. Summer break is here and we tend to stay very busy. I will be back but don't look for me until August.

Howdy, howdy, howdy! I have to say that I don't particulary feel the best since getting home from work. Actually, I started feeling fatigued around 1pm. After giving this some thought, I think it's because I did not get my workout in this morning. NO sweating or getting my hair wet. I CANNOT wait until Friday morning! HAHA Never thought I say I miss my exercise. ALSO, it's been raining and dreary here all day. BLAH I'm having a cup of:coffee: to keep me awake.
So far, so good on my calories. I think, however that some days I am way too low for my totals. 5/17= 1053 5/18= 1769 (no problem that day) 5/19= 1008 (hmmmm) 5/20= 992 (YIKES!) 5/21= 1297 5/22= 1642 5/23= 1687 5/24= 1174 (a little low) At any rate, I hope I see at least 1 lb gone for my WI on Sunday. Momx- I, too HAD very curly hair. I have been dealing with it since childhood, though it seems to have gotten worse as I've aged. :?: I like the job she did, but my hair STINKS from the chemical! They now use a Matrix product instead of the VaVoom. Summer is always bad for me with the humidity. I end up looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket. :yikes: On another note, I ended up getting 3 root canals and crowns last year. The poor fillings in my mouth from childhood caused my teeth to "internally fracture." Ugh! At least I'm not afraid of dentists anymore. HAHA Deerod- Counting calories helps me to see where I am at the end of the day. (as you can see quite low on a few) but I am one of those persons who needs visuals! HAHA I've been able to do pretty good eating lean meats, salads, and loadin' up on veggies for dinner. I'm not usually hungry until around 8pm. Then I just have either a bowl of whole grain cereal or a frozen fruit bar. I HOPE THIS LASTS! HAHA At any rate, keep your chin high and trust yourself that you can do this. :) Angel eyes- I don't know how many calories 12.5 points would be, but that does seem awfully high for a "grilled chicken" sandwich. We are having a lunch meeting at work tomorrow at PF Changs (chinese) and thankfully they have nutritional information on their website. This will help enable me to choose one lower in calories and fat. I wish more and more companies/restaurants would list their nutritional information online. I think a lot do, but not all. The WATP dvd's are good, as I've said, but I HATE the music! HAHA See ya'll later :dancer: |
Hi Everyone,
well its that dreaded TOM. This sucks. I feel so gross, bloated, and bad and, to top it off, I forgot my feminine products at home. :?: Sorry, I know that was a little TMI but its just one of those bad days for being a woman. I weighed my self this morning just to see if this bloated feeling translated into a huge wieght gain and it didn't really maybe 1/2 pound or so so I'm gonna just try and make it through with out giving into the fat feeling and eating like I want to be fat. That is what ussually happens, I feel fat so I think oh I might as well just pig out then I do gain like 3 punds or something. Plus, my WI this week is cancelled because of the holiday  so that is even more incentive to cheat, I have a whole nother week to go..... But I am going to keep my eyes on the prize and visualise my goal. My ultimate plan is to hit goal, go to a beach for my 30th birthday, and learn how to surf. I snowboard and skateboard but you don't have to wear a bathing suit for those but I really want to learn to surf so I have to be svelt. Last night, I did my step tape and a 20 minute pilates thing that is on cable. I hope to get to the gym at luch today. must keep going! Annie, Your calories are low. But not dangerous, some of the threads I see people are like is it ok to eat only 400 calories a day:eek: Isn't it weird that when you are watching what you are eating its hard to eat enough. oh and a WW point is about 50 calories so 12.5 is like 625 caloried for a sandwhich yuck, to many.... Angel Eyes, some times when I eat out and then look it up I'm like huh? what did they soak it in butter how could that little thing be so much. I wonder what could possible make it so high. Like Chili's nothing on the menue is under like 1000 calories, 20 points. well maybe not that high but pretty rediculous so I just don't go there. Deerod, jump back on that horse, so to speak, you can do it. Sometimes youjust need a little break, its good you have picked a day to get back going. I used to always say tomorrow and that never came.... Momx3- did you have fun with my friend Richard? Idid my step reebok tape, it is so not fun I wish he had a step Sweatin to the Oldies  Hotcup, 3.25 :D that is great! all that working out is working out. good job. some times we need a crazy excersise nut to keep up pushing are selves, but just not all day every day. I bet you are feeling good. Lisa, I'll have to try the fudge pops. I bought some popsicles for my son, they aren't sugar free or anytthing, they just aren't that big but they are like 40 calories, or 1 point. I'll have to shop aroung now that it is icecream, popsicle weather. allright, back to work, I hope everyone has a good day and keeps up the hard work. ttyl Jennie |
Howdy and Good Morning to my PIC friends!
The weather turned better, alittle cooler than last week but we are in the warming trend. Another very busy day for me yesterday. I am an evil mom because I "made" Mallissa practice piano last night. She loves to go to piano but like any normal child, she just doesn't want to have to practice. Not wanting to argue with her I sent her to bed because of the whines.(I hate whines...yell, scream, rant or rave at me..but never whine!) I never actually thought she would go to sleep at 6:30pm. LOL Then one of her friends mom's called me so i was on the phone way to long with her. Then I needed to do some things for my part time job and before I knew it...it was 11pm which is way past my bedtime. We are skipping piano today because Mallissa didn't practice at all and she also has a school program. We are going out to eat tonight so I hope we make a good choice in dining place and I make a good choice on what to eat. I felt awfult this morning and wasn't sure what was up. I had a stomach ache and after eating breakfast it still doesn't feel right. It just may be my body adjusting to better food. I don't feel as confident as I did last week at this time. I am not sure if I have lost or not. I might of stayed the same or only lost part of a pound. I didn't get to exercise hardly at all this week and that might really hurt me. Jennie: Best thing I ever did in my life was my hystro at 30! With PCOS I never was regular but when I got them..I felt like I was going to die. Don't stress about the scale. Think of all the posititves. (need to take my own advice on that one!) :s: Annie: If I do the WW calculations on calories I think you would be allowed 26 points which would be roughly 1300 calories plus you would get another 200 points in flex calories so basically 1500 calories a day. I wouldn't try to go under 1200 calories in a day. On a WW list I am on, there is a girl who is trying to "fast track" her weight loss. She is only doing about 10 points a day and wondering why she is not losing. (she would be doing 28) When others pointed out to her she wasn't eating enough, she said it was during TOM and she couldn't possibly eat anything. Basically her body is thinking she is starving it and stores the fat. :dizzy: Kclay: have a terrific summer and stay on program and as WW says: we will see less of you later! ;) Angel: I am trying to be careful when eating out. Honestly, I don't like chicken so that wouldn't of been my first choice. I always go for the smallest portion of things, like a kids size cheeseburger. McDonalds is only 7 points compared to a Big mac which is 14. We have a new place here called Culvers. They were talking at WW the other day that their chicken strip meal is a whopping 50 points!! Deerod: THe best thing you can do for yourself right now is start anew. Start tracking today and go from there. There is no reason to kick yourself. Just tell yourself today is going to be different. :D Momx3: I used to have very curly hair...then I moved to Wyoming and it is staight as a board. LOL The non humidity does it for me. LOL I need a haircut, my bangs are down to my chin. I thougth I wanted a different style and was letting it grow out. I really just need to go and get it cut. LOL I hate going to get my hair cut. I can't sit still that long. Mary: send your sister to me. I need a kick in the butt to get going. Mallissa has a bday party to go to at the Y on Sunday. I thought I would get to exercise while she was there. NOPE...the Y is closed and the party is in the gym. :( L2L: where are you? Curleylocks: I will check out that site too. Speaking of exercise. Mallissa's gym coach told me that she needed to build up her arm strenght? Any suggestions? LOL I just can't imagine a 5 year old lifting weights. Most of what she is struggling on is the fact that she doesn't have the arm strenght and it will be awhile until she moves up again because of it. Everyone have a great day! I am going to quit being so hard on myself today and think of the positive changes I have made so far. :) Lisa Wyoming |
ARGGGG.. I just typed a real long message with replies to everyone and then lost it..

I'm sorry I have not had time to post and say hey to you all. I have a very, very sick kitty at home. Our 11-year-old cat has cancer in her jaw, and a tumor, and had some surgery. She is doing well, but it has been a rough week. :( :( :( Between crying, and work, and I hurt my foot the other day; I think I snapped a bone. I am not sure how I hurt it or what I did.
My doc appointment is today so I can 'officially' get weighed, and see what is going on and why I gain and lose 5 to 6 pounds per day, and what I did to my foot. Zoiks! Hang in there everyone. After this week, I will get back on the wagon (drinking water and doing RIchard SImmons from the cough though), still making good choices, and I'll let you all know how it goes. Take care all of you, Hugs to all. :grouphug: :cb: |
Morning to all my pic friends :coffee2:. I hope everyone is doing well today. I live in sunny California and yesterday it was 96 yes I said 96
:dizzy:. Today is supposed to by 94 and I wanted to walk with the baby again but I don't think that will be happening now :?:. Lisa & Annie - when I get my hair straightened I am in the chair for 6 hours. I have to go every 5 months or so. My hair stays straight but the roots grow out and I have to have them redone. Oh yeah and it cost my $300  but it is so worth it. I have always wanted straight hair. You know how you never get what you want . lookin - I am so sorry to hear about poor kitty :( and your foot. I hope you get some good news at the doctors office. Hang in there my friend. :grouphug: Sunshine - I also have disco sweat with Richard. I think I am going to give that a try this afternoon. I am so glad you found something you can live with :D. clipclop - I hate it when you lose everything. I try to copy it before I post now just in case. Have a good day!! Lisa - Maybe Mallissa could try to do some push ups. When my family first started dong taekwondo my son was 5 and he did push ups. Great way to gain upper body strength. Don't you dare be hard on yourself you are doing so good. Don't give up now you are just having some down time but you will get over it. I was feeling that way last week but feel much better this week. :D Jennie - Why can't TOM just leave us alone. I really hate the ba:censored:rd Annie - I hope you are feeling better today . Internal fracture :faint: that sounds so painful!! Angel - At least you tried to eat healthy yesterday. Good Job!!! :D Dee - We miss you here and look forward to your return. You will be back when you are ready and we will be here with open arms. Don't forget you are worth it. :grouphug: |
Hey girls....
Mom....are you kidding me? 6 hours in the chair? Holy Moly, you had better be gorgeous AFTER THAT!!! I would like to try that someday, but being a SAHM, I always find Walmart gets the money first!! Lookin.....poor Miss Meow!! That would absolutley be horrible to go through. {{hugs}} My kitty is 18 yo and she is on blood pressure meds. She also has a digestive problem which makes her pass blood sometimes. Its like anything I guess.....(myself included) the older you get the more aches you have!! Hope she feels better soon from the surgery. Jennie.....good luck with tommorow's new weigh in. I like Fridays also, but opted for Mondays to keep me 'legal' on the weekends. You are doing so well....keep it up!!! :cp: Clipclop.....I wish I could say "wink wink" dh loved the blonde babe, but truth be known....HE DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE!!! I must have done such a wonderful "salon style" job....mind you....the lights were off!!! :D LisaWY.....poor little Mallissa. I guess she was sooo tired to be asleep at dinner time!! Thats the thing though, they are so overtired and whiney, they can't even see straight some times. Gave you a nice break though!! I dream of a bedtime like that. Well I just got back from a HUGE grocery shop and got lots of ww legal stuff for the camping weekend and lots of other junky stuff for my snacky boys. They usually don't go for stuff like that, but if I don't have any....and the other family that we are going with ....does.....then they will just eat theirs. Can't have that now. Besides....I NEVER NEVER have chips and soda in the house, so it will be a nice treat for them. I am going to marinate some portobello mushrooms and make some ww coleslaw also. We'll be leaving tommorow afternoon and won't be back until late Monday. Hope everyone is watching their bbq grillouts and parties!!! :hungry: Have a great weekend, if I'm not able to check back in before I go. ta ta.... I'm off to the gym for my workout. :ebike: |
Hello gals! Thought I'd drop by as I finally have some time today. So far it's been a good day. Had a lunch meeting today and we ordered PF Changs. Fortunately, I only ate 1/2 my entree so that was only 300 calories. Haven't been particulary hungry since, but did force myself to eat a PB&J sandwich, which only brings me to 757 calories total so far today. I might make a salad later.
I haven't exercised for 2 days now, and am planning on getting a real good workout in tomorrow. 4 DAY WEEKEND! YAHOO! Jennie- I USED to hate that TOM. For the past 2 years, I've been getting Depo-Provera injections. I love them. I don't really bleed. Towards the end of the 3 months (I go in every 3 months), I bleed just a tiny, tiny bit. It was either than for a hysto. Also, I DO find counting calories a bit overwhelming at times, but it keeps me on track. Lisa- I've gone down that road of not eating enough calories. I felt sick and didn't have any energy. Plus, when I started eating again, I put the weight back on so fast, I didn't even know what hit me. Which is why I'm TRYING to get close to 1500 calories a day. Oh yeah, there are nights when I wouldn't mind sending my daughter to bed at 6:30! ClipClop- Thanks for the encouragement. It really helps me being accountable to others who also have the same goals as I do. Lookin2- SOOO sorry to hear about your cat. I'm a HUGE cat lover (have 2 myself) and I think I know how you feel. It's a very devastating thing when a beloved pet gets sick. Also, sorry for your foot injury. I did that myself several years ago mowing the lawn. I stepped into a hole I didn't see, and from the sound it made, I thought I had snapped my entire ankle off. I did end up having it x-rayed and they had to put an air cast on it so I wouldn't bear any weight on it. Hope things get better. Hang in there. Momx- I was in the chair for about 2 1/2 hours the other night when I had my hair done. I don't really mind going to the salon, as it's time just for me. WOW, $300? I only paid $140 and so far it looks fabulous. BYE BYE FRIZZ! HAHA Angel- Have fun on your camping trip. Been years since I've gone. Fun, but alot of work in the planning. Umm, also my bad, what's SAHM stand for? Well, I should go clean and shower. I was going to try and get a walk in, but there have been scattered storms here tonight. I'm tired. Maybe just pop a movie DVD in. How lazy is that? :o |
Watch out world L2L is back!!!
:cheer: :D :D :D Good Morning my PIC divas!!!
Thank you for all your kind words about my kitty. All 4 of our cats mean the world to me. She is doing really well, bouncing and pouncing around. I have not been able to do my morning exercise tapes, but she was sitting by that VCR and I did some yoga...which made me feel better. Doc told me I got a lot fluid weight. He is uping my water pill. My hormone levels are all off-balance so he did bloodwork to see what to do, and I have a mild tendinitis in my foot and need new sneakers. Other than that he is proud of me for losing 3 pounds since I was in, in January and with my changes to my 'diet' and paying attention to me. So I am now 280 by their scale. Which makes me very, very happy. I did tell doc one of the most wonderful things is the support of you gals, and he thought it was so wonderful that I found a group of people where I feel totally comfy and like I fit in. ;) I signed up for the YMCA Aquaerobics class last night. It starts on Tuesday, June7th and is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also, they are putting a fitness center in my building with all kinds of cardio equipment starting around the end of June for FREE. Thank you for hanging in there with me. I am so blessed you PIC angels. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Okay, now I am crying again. It is not impossible, especially with friends like you. It is like have a whole groups of sisters. TTYS HUGS TO ALL |
Mmmornin.... grumble grumble *yawn*
Morning PIC Chick Chicas
Looking2lose: I'm very proud of you for getting yourself to the doc and so happy for you for losing three pounds. I could see myself shutting down for the health problems, easily. But when you mentioned the kitty trouble, well, I felt so deeply for you all. You're a strong individual to "take care of business" and not just sit back and feel sorry for youreslf (which is exactly what I would have done). You're amazing! |
GDay Lovely Partners ! Another beautiful day on the island.. blue sky and looks like it is going to be another warm one. I am at home today having a study day. I have 2 tests next week  and work is pretty quiet so thought I would spend the day with my school books.
I had a bit of a challenging day yesterday, but came through it feeling pretty good. We had a branch party at work, so of course there were heaps of chips.. cakes.. cookies.. etc..etc..etc. I allowed myself to have a few chips, but that was all. Even though I should have resisted the temptation I came away feeling pretty good because I know how much I would normally have eaten and I counted the points. Huge victory for me :cp: LOOKING2LOSE ~ so sorry to hear about your cat :( but sounds like it is doing much better today :) I am glad that the doctor was able to provide you with some answers and sounds like he is very happy with the progess you are making... .as we all are :cp: Aquarobics sounds like fun. I think once school is done I am going to look at signing up for something like that.. something that will keep me motivated to move ! MOMX3 ~ sounds like we are both getting that warm west coast weather.. although much hotter where you are. Hope you are keeping yourself cool :hot: ANGEL EYES ~ have a wonderful camping trip !! Sounds like you are well prepared and will have a great time. ANNIE ~ Great job on your lunch yesterday.. you are really sticking with this. I know what you mean about not being hungry but feeling you should eat something. That happens to me frequently.. but gotta keep the body fueled ! HOTCUPOJAVA, JENNIE, DEE, LISA and MOONRAY ~ hope you all are having a great day.. hope to see you soon. Well I better get my arse in gear. Hope you all have a great long weekend !! |
Sorry Chicks
I went back in and edited that post. It went on way too long about cats, workouts, carbs and silliness... you all don't need to waste your time on that! I'll save that all for my journal entries. Have a great FRIDAY all!
Enjoy your week end. Your HOLIDAY week end! TTFN |
