I exercised! :D 1 mile WATP and about 15 min stretch :D I feel good.
I know I haven't been writing much and seem kind of down it's just that I really want to go back to school and I was applying and they gave me an app for the assesment test and I started to freak :( how am I going to fit in those tiny little desks :?: they are like enough for one cheek and I know for sure my stomach is going to fill out half the desk :( I had a hard time in high school and I was almost 100 lbs lighter :( I can't imagine me now trying to squeeze into one of those right now. So I applied to one of those Bryman colleges (they have office type desks)they seem kind of ify but I will be learning something in the meantime and that will give me 8 months to loose some of this weight and be able to fit in one of those other desks. are u sure they have the school type desks? I would call the counselor and let them know that u would like to have a regular chair in the class.. ya i know its hard to do... but dang it... schools have to make accomadations for people with special needs by law so u would not be out of line asking...
Be strong.. and make them get ya a chair made for real people!!!! geez even high school kids cant fit in those dang things.... :o OH HEY i just thought of something on my way home, seems to me when u are filling out your admission paperwork u get a form that asks if u need any special accomadations......... there ya go just write in u want a grown ups seat! :o |
I know I can try but, I mean like if it's not bad enough just being this big imagine having to have a special chair in all your classes :( some classes have regular desks, I was thinking of walking around the campus scoping those out and making my class decisions based on what classes have those desks and which classes I need out of those but that would be very few classes. I just know if I feel bad being in the class I won't finish it

Well i can tell ya .. when i was in high scool a zillon yrs ago the football players couldnt fit in them little desks.. and they had their own chair.. i was 320 when i went to college.. but a lot of my classes had tables & chairs .. its up to u, I dont think anyone is gonna notice and if they do so what??? just have the mind set.. u are there to learn.. u gotta get the KMA attitude! lmao id be like yeah im a larger person..... tell me something i didnt know.. I have mirrors in my house... hahahahahaha |
Wow, busy day here again today. So far, so good today, but have been in a pissy mood for most of the day. Not sure why. :?: My computer at home must have a setting change, as the emoticons are no longer animated. I've checked everything I know, and can't come up with a solution. *sigh*
Anywho, I did the 1-mile WATP this morning, and plan on doing some weight lifting after I get my butt off this chair. I'm really tired today. Not sure if it' the heat (only 84, but not used to this heat yet, as it's been unseasonably cold here.) I'm only at 734 calories so far today. Plan on the usual Raisin Bran for a snack. Am now drinking :coffee2: just to stay awake. ClipClop- Hiya girl. Wish my boss would ask if I wanted a day off! HAHA I 've always got tons of stuff at home I could be doing. :beach: :ebike: HAHA Also, I've been much more disciplined this time around in getting my exercise in. Last few times, I'd start to use excuses. Not this time, at least not yet. :crossed: Moonray- Hang in there. We are all here for you. It's only human to somtimes have bad days. Just keep telling yourself how much you want this, and how much better you'll feel. :) Also, great job on getting the exercise in. Those WATP are going to be my savior this time, I think. Plus my bike and weights. :strong: Momx- Only 5 days last week? I think that's a great accomplishment! :cheer: I think most people I know love Red Lobster. Sad though how most of their food is drenched in butter. :( Next time we go out to eat, I think perhaps Applebee's. The 3 new DVD's I bought were: * "Extreme Makeover Fitness - Weight Loss Workout for Beginners" " Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds - Walk and Kick" " Jane Fonda Collection: Complete Personal Trainer Series - Low Impact Aerobics and Stretch; Abs, Buns & Thighs; Total Body Sculpting" I needed something low impact and easy to learn. I have a Richard Simmon's (80's dance mix, I think) and it was too hard to follow. He doesn't give any instruction. :?: Deerod- Your post reminds me of the last time I attempted to lose weight. Last fall, and I fell off the wagon hard. I only realized a few weeks ago (while at my doctor's office) that I needed to gain control of my life. I realized that only "I" could make the changes necessary in my life, and so far I've taken it very seriously (minus one day with a few Rice Krispy snacks.) I didn't, however, let the guilt consume me after eating those either, as I would have done in the past. I just hopped right back on and never looked back. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you CAN do this. We are all here for you. *hug* Curly- Sounds as though you have an assertive attitude towards life. That's great that nothing lets you down. At work I tend to be more assertive than I do at home, but that's just because I'm an RN, and I don't think patients want to see a wimpy nurse caring for them. HAHA Sky- WOOOHOOO on the loss! :bravo: Once again, can't wait for my WI on Sunday. Hoping there's at least another 2. Well I'm off to pump some iron! Perhaps I'll be back sometime soon. OH YEAH! If anyone out there is a computer whiz, and might want to share some of that knowledge, I could use some help about my emoticons not wanting to MOOOOVE. They just sit there. Oh, my god!!! You are all have been so busy here today! :comp: I thought it was bad yesterday when I missed a day but today we had a page and a half of new posts!! Wow!!! I already know I'm going to have trouble keeping up, at least for the next week until my summer vacation begins. I'm looking forward to having 6 weeks off!!! :dance: :dance:
Work wasn't too bad today and summer school did seem to run alittle more smoothly today. Tomorrow will be a quiet day! Only our bilingual kiddos will be there for half a day so I only have to work until 11:30!! :cb: :cb: I'm looking forward to having a few hours to myself before I pick up the kids....maybe I can talk DH into picking them up!! :idea: They are really anal at work about using the computer for personal things so I don't get a chance to check in until the end of the day. :( I'm still trying to keep everyone straight. So I will probably have to write everyone's name down so I can keep track. Deerod- Please don't get discouraged! You can do this!! We all can do this!!! It is only natural to fall of the wagon. It happens to the best of us. But we just have to pick ourselves up and get back on. And I will keep my fingers crossed that you get this new job!!! Chin up. Moonray- Don't let a "desk" influence your decision. When I was in college and grad school there were students that simply got a chair from another room or found one where we were. And alot of my classes had tables and chairs anyway. I don't think you will find to many "desks" in your classes. Tomorrow I will have my cheat sheet with everyone's name and I will do better replying!!! Have a great evening ladies! |

Dee-welcome back. We missed you. I'm with curlylocks on the taking your lunch to work thing. I take mine everyday or I would be in BIG trouble. We have drug reps who come in and bring all sorts of junk. When I fell off the wagon the last time, that was one of the first things that happened--I stopped taking my lunch to work. I can't leave my meals to chance. All you exercise divas, keep it up! Do some for me too. I'm buried under a pile of paperwork and phone messages. Moon-Don't let the desk size keep you from persuing your dreams. I'm sure the school will work with you on that. I don't remember too many desks in college, mostly lecture halls. Well this has also not been a good nutrition day for me. I am behind on my protein for the day, which I think is a first since I started protein power and I haven't even made 1000 calories yet. I don't really count calories as you know but I think that is the lower limit of reasonableness so I think I better go find something with protein in it to eat. TTYL |

Hi Everyone,
Well I decided to bust my butt today at the gym...I woke up early to do my pilates tape before my son woke up. Then I went to work. I ussally try to get to the gym at my lunch hour but today I couldn't and I made arrangements for my parents to pick my son up so that I could go after work. That doesn't happen to often so I decided to take advantage. I did 50min on the ellyptical and 35 on the dreadmill and then about 10 of stretching. I am tired now. but its worth it. I got to get back down before sunday's WI... I decided to switch things up a bit today I ussually have a small breakfast, 4 pts of ceral and a piece of fruit. Today I did an egg with veggies sandwhich and a little cheese. I just had regular bread so it was pretty high in point. It didn't really work well. I was so hungry all day! and now my stomach is growling. hmmm...I thnk I'll go back to my go lean crunch ceral tomorrow. Petra and Dee, I think food at work is the worst thing ever. I hate it when there is food around it is always the first thing that makes me fall off track. and when its all the time its so hard to get back on. Dee, you can get back on I know it. You have so much inner strength just concentrate on using it to be strong for you self. Annie, those tapes sound good. I love getting new work out tapes but somehow, I always go back to the old ones that I know by heart. I guess they are easier. let us know how you like them. Moonray, what are you going back to school for? I think it wouldn't be a big deal to ask for a desk but depending on what you are going for, some classes and majors have tables and stools. at my school I think only about 1 or 2 of my classes each semester had any kind of desk. but then agian I was a sculpture major. hehee. don't let your weight hold you back. I'm sure you will really regret if you let that choose your decisions. sky, 5 pounds! whoo hoo! and good job takeing those boys out. I try and make sure my son is active as much of the day as possible so that he will sleep long at night. and this in turn, keeps me active. angel eyes, I like your mind over matter approach. I love it when I have a fully stocked kitchen it makes staying on track so much easier. keep up the good work. one day at a time. mom, 5 days of excersising, that is great! I'm happy when I squeeze in 4, and its a tough squeeze. I bet you'll have fun with the jogging stoller. keep it up and keep us all going. Lisa, your bike ride sounds nice. nothing like a storm to get you moving fast. clipclop, those pics are crazy. I've seen her pic in her avatar but its so small you don't get the full effect of how FIT she is. I really should start lifiting. this is kind of off subject but I looked at the one of her son graduating and he went to the school my dad teaches at. small world. thanks for the skinny vibes, I hope they work. I had five days off and unfortunately, ate like I was on vacation. I don't think it's been disastrous, but it sure wasn't OP. I'm up in the middle of the night, (couldn't sleep) and I guess I'll go write a LONG journal entry and confess my sins. I've caught up on the thread here (you've all been busy) and say hello to everyone and a welcome to new faces. I hope to be seeing more you (and less in the weight loss way) soon.

Well ladies, I couldn't wait to share my good news. I have lost 7 lbs this week but you have to remember I reported a 3 lb gain last week due to TOM or whatever. So it is really only a 4 lb loss but no complaints here. That is still a brisk weight loss.

Howdy Ya'll!!!!.. I'm at work so this is going to be short... well last night we went to a buffet for my moms b-day.. and I pigged out.. I got it all out of my system and I woke up this morning and got back on track.. I weighed myself and in my two week pig out I only gained 4 lbs.. I know its alot, but it is a lot less than I expected.. and guess what.. this morning I went to H-E-B (our grocery store).. and for breakfast, I bought a small fruit salad.. bananas, organic carrots for snack, and I've been drinking water.. I've only been here about 45 minutes and I'm getting ready to go potty for the second time.. lol.. I'm back... and I will do this.. thank you all for your kind words and inspiration.. I'll get back to you all later.. hope you have a wonderful day..

Good Morning Partners ! I am happy to report that I survived my exam last night.. one question kinda stumped me because I couldn't get the darn thing to balance, but other then that I feel pretty good about it.
I am back at work again this morning.. feels like Monday, but it is Friday. YAHOO :D DEEROD ~ I am so glad that you found way back on track. We are all together because of you.. so just remember that we are always here to support you.. through all of the ups and downs. :grouphug: PETRA ~ 7 lbs.. you are the queen of the scale.. Great Job !!! :queen: HOTCUPOJAVA ~ we all get off track at some point.. it is getting back on track that is the important part .. go get em Turtle !! Most of our classroom at the college are table and chairs, there are a few tiered rooms that have the seats attached and swing out.. and even I fit into those :eek: Well I better get some work done.
