Saturday Night

HOwdy All,
Had another busy day! This will be short! I went to the later weigh in. I LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3.5lbs. So my offical WW total is 8 and my unoffical is 14.5(although my signature says 15!

Kidfest was great. There were no lines. LOL The girls had a blast on the inflatable rides. I walked and walked and walked all around the IKON center. LOL I also went back to the garage sale and walked and walked in there too. So my weekend is 1/2 over and I didn't get much done but walking.

I went grocery shopping today. Umm..Petra..I would of loved your grocery bill. Ours keeps going up. I can remember not too many years ago when it was just Dave and I...$50.00 a week was all it took...today we spent $250.00. I bought tons of fruits and veggies. Tomorrow I get to cut them all up. Note to self: don't go to the grocery store hungry again!! Didn't buy any junk food!! YIPPEEEE for me!

I surfed to amazon and bought 2 Richard Simmons videos for $11.00 total. They should be here next week.

Everyone have a great Sunday!

WoW busy thread today :D

ClipClop- I think I am beginning to look at the scale too much, I put it away and found another scale I had that only goes up to 330 and since I still have about 2 pounds to go till I reach 330 I will be off it for a while.

MomX3- Sweets will be the death of me, so when I saw the table my jaw dropped, how could they torture those poor women!! I'm sure they don't have that out all the time though, I didn't join at that time because I was like about 365 then, actually I think I was way more but I couldn't tell cause my scale didn't go up that high, anyway I saw the ladies working out and at that time I felt I needed to go slower. I think I'm ready now though they just opened up a new Y so I'm going to check it out.

Hope you are all sticking to your plan :D I kind of cheated a little but that was my weekend treat :D

Good Morning :coffee:

Well I have some bad news and some good news. We went to Macaroni Grill last night for dinner and I ate wayyyy to much, but the good news is I weighed in this morning and I lost 2 POUNDS! YIPPEE! I realized I can do this, but AGAIN, how darn slow this process is. The scale said 206 exactly. Last week 208 exactly. So I'm losing EXACTLY 2 lbs a week consistently. Not bad, right girls? 2 lbs a week is a good slow steady rate, yeah? I see some of you losing 3, 4, 5 pounds. Perhaps I'll bump down my calorie intake to 1200. I dunno, guess I should be happy with the 6 pounds I've lost so far in 3 weeks.

I just wanted to say to Jennie :bravo: on getting out of your funk. We ALL have days like those. Exercising is probably the best thing to do as it releases "feel-good" chemicals into our body.

Well everyone, I know this is short, but I'm going to clean up a little bit more around the house this morning. It's a beautiful morning here, sunny (for a change) and warm. Talk to you all later.

BTW, I should probably also start taking a MVI. I did the Weight Smart ones a few years ago, and really wasn't all that impressed either. :dz:

Have a good one, ladies!

Good Morning !! Got my :coffee: in hand and am ready to face the day. It is a rather dreary one out there, so good thing I will be inside all day doing homework.

I successfully managed to avoid it yesterday (bad me!), so today I will have to bust my butt. It was nice out yesterday though so glad I took advantage of the weather, got some running around done and took the dog for a walk.

ANNIE ~ yahoo girl !! 2 lbs is great. They say that is the average that you should look to lose each week. While some of us may be losing more than that, our average is probably around the same. You also need to consider our starting weights. The higher it is the quicker we lose it in the beginning. Keep up the great work, you are doing awesome :cb:

MOONRAY ~ I think you will be happy about your choice on the scale. I know for me I have decided that I can do a mid week check but that is it. Although my attitude about the scale will probably change once I have lost all of the weight that I want to. Then I will probably step on it more frequently because I will want to know if there is even the slightest increase so that I can do something about it right away !!

LISA ~ is it hot in here or are you on :flame: 3.5 lbs you go girl :cp: You need to give yourself some flashy flowers in your signature block !

CURLYLOCKS ~ sorry can't help you out with your vitamin question. I just use a generic brand that I get at Costco.

JENNIE ~ glad that you are feeling better after your work out. You got them endorphines moving :jig: Hope you have a great Sunday !

HOTCUPOJAVA ~ hope you had a good evening at the salt mines. How did the dreadmill go... did you go the distance again ?!?!? I am glad that you were able to get back on track so quickly. Kudos :cp:

MOMX3 ~ love the new avatar !! Are you a book worm ?? What do you like to read ?? Any good recommendations ?

Well that's about a wrap for me. Enjoy your Sunday and TTYS !

petra65 06-05-2005 12:22 PM

Congrats to Lisa and Annie for their losses. Annie, 2 lbs a week is great! I know it looks like I lost a lot this week but I gained last week so it really wasn't that much. FitDay says I'm averaging 2.3 lbs per week. It just hasn't been as consistent as yours.

Curlylocks-great link. Very inspirational.

MomX3-love the avatar.

Clipclop-hope you find time for some fun today.

For some reason I felt like a truck ran me over yesterday and didn't get a whole lot accomplished. Even took an afternoon nap! I'm feeling better today. Already got some laundry done, some gardening, cleaned up the dog poop in the back yard (I know, TMI) and took the boys for a nice walk. Kobe may even get his bath today that he didn't get last week.

Talk to you later.

momX3 06-05-2005 12:44 PM

Morning All :coffee2:. Just waiting for someone else to get up so I can exercise. Feeling really tired today.

Clipclop - Yeah, I love books!!!! My mom used to work in a library so she used to check out books for me all the time. Now when I go to a store I have to call her to see if I have read the book or not :dizzy:. I have not been reading much since the baby came because she takes up alot of my time
. When she get older I will get back into it. My oldest daughter is on a Dean Koontz kick right now so I have read a few of those recently. I just bought her the first book in "The Clan of the Cave Bears" series. I loved it when I was her age. One of my all time favorites was the Diana Gabalden series. Anyway I better stop  before I bore you to death.

Annie - Way to go on the 2 lbs :cb:. Don't worry about how much everyone else is losing YOU are doing great for Annie. Everyone lose's at different rates and some of us have more to lose than you. It took me almost 2 weeks to lose my 6 pounds but I could'nt be happier!!! Also don't worry about how much you ate last night. Even though you feel like you ate too much I bet you made better choices than you used to. Am I right???? :D

Curly - I have been taking generic prenatal vitamins from target for 5 years. I started taking them when I was trying to get pregnant and just never stopped. They work well for me :).

Moon - The great thing about curves is that you can work at your own rate. The harder you work the machines the harder your workout is but you don't start out working really hard. I bet the ladies you saw have been going there for awhile. We have ladies that come in that must be in their 70's and they work at a pace that is good for them while the 20 year olds work at a pace that is good for them. I swear I don't work for Curves  and I'm not trying to push you into anything I just want you to find something you can be happy with and WANT to stick with :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Lisa - Great job on the 3.5 lbs gone forever :cp: :cb:. I think you will like your Richard Simmons tapes.

Jennie - Good for you on getting the workout in and feeling better ;). Good Luck on the weigh in :goodscale.

Hotcup - Awesome job on the treadmill :tread:. I know when I do mine I have to try to find something else to do besides stare at the time. It makes time go by so slow. I tell myself I can't look until the song is over or until I think 5 minutes have gone by but that does'nt usually work. I am so weak . Anyway I just want you to know how proud I am of you. You are doing so Great!!!

Good evening ladies. I've had a good day. Kobe finally got his bath. I did some reading on pituitary abnormalities(how exciting!), finished my laundry, and was looking for state parks that allow pets. Surprisingly, quite a few of them allow pets so I may get to take my boys camping at some point. It looks like my activities would be very limited if I took them with me which might be something to consider.

I went over my carb allowance a little today (by 3) but I didn't really make any bad choices. I probably shouldn't have had a snack today or something like that. Hopefully my increased activity level will help compensate for it. Also, I got a lot of fiber in.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

angel-eyes 06-05-2005 07:28 PM

Happy Sunday everyone!! Looks like we've got a great bunch of losers, congratulations to you. My weighin is tommorow so we'll see....I've been fighting the pantry all day and although my choices have been okay, boredom hit and I found myself with constant snack attacks.

Mom......I just LOVE LOVE Diana Galbadon!!! Isn't Jaimie a wonderful character!!! what a man!!! And Jean Auel is my other all time fave writer. I have read and re-read her series. Have you seen the movie with Daryl Hannah? Not bad, usually on very late though on the fx channel so I haven't seen the ending. I am into another writer now, Gilbert Morris. He is a writer who does a minimum of a 5 book series. "The Wakefield Dynasty" was my first series I read (I think there are 8 books) and then many more. You must try to look him up.

Petra.........Hope you can take your dogs with you on your camping trip. We took our dog recently and she had a blast. Most parks frown on dogs walking aimlessly, so I bought one of those leads that attach to a screw in the ground hookup. (??) I'm sure you know what I mean, anyways she loved it as I know your dogs would also. How much is your carb limit? I find I have to limit them also.

Hello everyone!! Hope all had a great weekend!! Wehad a festival in our town this weekend it was fun!! My oldest son was in the parade. I entered my baby in a baby contest and he won 1st place!!! Woohoo!! Today I went up and seen my sisters new baby! He is so little!! Well keep up all the good work girls!!

petra65 06-05-2005 08:40 PM

I'm supposed to stay under 40 net carbs for the day. I try to stay under 35.

looking2lose 06-06-2005 07:41 AM

Good Day All:

I am sooooooo sorry that I have not posted, I have been reading and trying to catch up, but my work PC got a worm in it (and about 350 others in our network), and taking care of our kitty (who I think by the grace of god is getting better), and my 1 cousin graduating, my grandma's knee replacement coming up, my other cousin's fiancee's bridal shower with baby shower combo to boot, helped make funnel cakes this weekend and a county-fair type thing (my mom co-chairs it) so.....there I am with 100 pounds of fatty frying donuts. I only ate 1, so I am really proud of me.

Anywhooo...I am still on track. Now I have lost 10 pounds total. I have been exercising with Richard Simmons everyday, now matter how lazy I feel. I just ordered a new 'Blast Off Mega Mix' which should be coming this week or next.

Sounds like you all doing WONDERFUL :bravo: :grouphug: :ebike: And I am proud of you all.

I will catch up ;) with ALL of you.

WELCOME to the newbies

Hugs to all. Hang in there loves!! TTYS

curlylocks 06-06-2005 07:50 AM

jennie934 06-06-2005 09:37 AM

Hi ladies, well I got out of my funk on Saturday but still proceeded to sabatoge my WI for sunday. I went over a friends house to hang out and they are all very slim but they eat a lot and it seems like anytime I go over they are having food I don't ussually eat like burgers and fries or in this case, bratwurst, burgers, chips, the whole picnic deal, and beer. WEll I had 2 beers not that bad but since I don't drink, I definatley felt the dehydration the next day and a bratwurst. so my WI was worse than I thought, I gained 1.8  I know I was still working off some of my indescresions from last weekend(this was my first WI since my little out of town trip) but drinking and eating food like that the night before your WI is just not good. :tantrum:

But, I am not letting it get to me. I put my scale away so I won't be weighing my self 10 times a day, and I am going to focus this week on eating the healthy food I had been eating, and working out consistantly. and, I know it will pay off.

I hope eveyone has a good monday. I ready to go back to bed but I know I can't. :p

see ya.
Jennie
