Hey girls! Welcome to all the new people - I'm still kinda new here too.

This weekend was cool and damp for the most part. Sun came out off and on today for a bit but it was still chilly. The dog loved it LOL...me? Not so much

Kinda went overboard a bit this weekend so now I need to get my butt in gear and get back on track this week. I hope to stay the same this week if I can use the next few days to undo what I did the last 2 days before weigh in wednesday night.

Hope you all had a nice weekend!

Welcome, eriluo! Where in Northern Ontario are you located?

Welcome Elaine! 5 kids! That's really great! You must have your hands full. I'm a teacher and love kids! It is really great to have that determination. I find without that and persistence my efforts would be futile.

Congrats on your weight loss, Christine!
Are you on a special diet. I'm on Weight watchers and I'm liking it a lot this far. I have my second weigh in tomorrow and I look forward to it. I have eaten more than last week, but Im still keeping on my points.
Buying a treadmill is a great idea. I'm thinking of getting an indoor stationary bike.

Snowbound, I can't believe you got snow!! It was very cold and damp here today and I thought it just might snow. About your weight fluctuating, could it be that it is your time of the month? I find I always bloat and fluctuate around that time of month. Salt can retain water for sure. Good luck!

Alannah, are you doing weight watchers? Do you weigh in daily or once a week?
---
Today was the first day that I ate out for lunch and supper. I read the nutrition guide online for subway, and I ended up getting a lower fat sub (6 inch roasted chicken, no cheese, veggies and honey mustard). 7 points total which wasn't too bad. I then ended up going to St. Huberts for supper, but had a greek salad. I did say, 'no' to the dessert that was offered, but I really did crave dessert tonight. Tomrrow is weigh in so I'll really watch what I eat tomorrow. I did a 30 minute walk this evening, but really want to increase my exercise next week. Have a great week everyone!

Jojo - not WW - I go to TOPS on Wednesday evenings. I am just calorie counting using the website myfitnessplanner.com. I like the way they have things set up. I have tried WW in the past but I don't like the point system so I'd rather just do the calories. I have the "official" weigh in on wednesdays but I usually check myself a few times through the week on my own scale so that I know if I am fluctuating much. I find it helps me stay more committed.

Well it's monday again. This is potentially going to be a stressful week at work so I am not looking forward to it at all. But I have no choice but to go so I guess I better suck it up and get off this thing huh?

Have a good Monday girls! I'll check in after I get home today.

Good Morning All!

Lots of post while I was away...Love it!!

Not a lot of time for personals but just wanted to chime in with hubby and I got married in Varradero! If my girls ever get married...I am strongly suggesting that...get married at a destination...cheaper and you have your wedding and honeymoon all rolled into one! Plus no b!tching from any relatives (why wasn`t so and so invited etc) ! lol

My weigh in is tomorrow and I feel like I am back on track. I still exercised and ate according to plan but the cravings were wicked!!! Yesterday and today are much better and it feels like my body is back on board.

Have a great day!

Jojo - We got snow again last night! But the sun is out today, so it's most likely going to melt. I'm 3 days past start day for TOM but I had an spotting episode 10 days ago. I think it's all wonky because of my weight fluctuations this month, I'm normally pretty normal and then every 2-3 months have a weird out of cycle one that changes my date. Sorry TMI.

Good for you doing so well with eating out.

Hi Jenny and welcome aboard!!

Equine - I hope you have a great day!!! I'm going to check out myfitnessplanner. Thanks for the tip.

Maddie - You have a great day too!!!

It's sunny today, it should melt all the snow we had the last two nights. I woke up at 6am to exercise and couldn't find my Wii Active and ended up cleaning up my room and started organizing in there, what I've been putting of. So now I've found my game and I'll make sure I have workout clothes laid our and my runners and my ipod ready to go. Time to get to it.

I'm not sure about the gym now, I don't know if I'd find the time so maybe I should commit to just working out in the mornings. I need to find a eating plan. I'm terrible with this unless I'm planned and I'm never planned!

My nurse was wondering or doing off my wonderings if I'm sabotaging myself on purpose or there is something deeper going on. Not sure. Since this morning I was 315.4 (I checked twice) but later before my shower is said 313.6, so I'm feeling at a loss. My hands are going numb again, so I'm thinking salt water retention again. I have to really watch what I'm eating.

Donna - it's actually ************.com. I typed it wrong earlier.

For a Monday this was about typical. Not great but I've had worse LOL

The sun actually made an appearance here today but it won't for the rest of the week now. Makes work depressing especially when I have to go outside in it. Hopefully people will just stay home and wait to come in when it isn't raining!

ERILUO ~ I am from Northern Ontario too; I was born down south, but since I have lived here way longer than I lived there, my Dad says that I am now an official northerner ... I live in a small town near the city of Timmins, Ontario.

JENNYT ~ we have had so many newbies and Jenny's come to this site lately, that I can't remember if you are new or not? So, welcome to our thread, just in case ... Congrats on your summer marriage; so you are a Newlywed. STELLA just got married this summer also. Sitting by that fire sounds divine, I hope to get one someday too; pretty soon I hope ...

DONNA ~ sorry, you had some that ***snow*** already; it has been pretty cold here at night, but none yet, thankfully. Our landlord just cleaned out our furnace for us so we can now use it. The other night we had a cold, damp one and DH tried to put the furnace on and the fire alarm kept going off -- it was all the dust & dirt inside that caused that. We are good to go now ... BTW, you have a lot of stuff to deal with right now -- not so certain that you are sabotaging yourself as trying to deal with a lot of stressful stuff with your Dad being so very ill ...

We had gorgeous for two days in a row; really beautiful today. We went out to our lot (where our camper is parked) yesterday for the afternoon and brought some stuff back home. We do this in October until everything that shouldn't freeze is back here. We had a nice big ham with baby new potatoes, yams, baby carrots, and green beans in creamed corn for dinner ... oh, it was soooooooooo yummmmmmmmy!

Hope you all have wonderful week ... Rosebud

Welcome, JennyT! Congrats on your marriage!
I've always wanted to visit the west coast of Canada (BC), but haven't made it yet.

Alannah, I've never heard of TOPS actually. Counting calories makes sense for sure! I'll have to look into that website for sure.

Maddie
Congrats on your marriage! I'd love to get married abroad someday when I find my prince! hehe.

Snowbound, I can't believe you are getting snow! It is raining here very hard and it is supposed to rain most of the week!

Rosebud, your dinner sounds very yummy!

I got weighed in today, and was happy to see that I lost 1.5 pounds. Almost into the 220's now! I hope everyone has a great week!
(I can't wait to get my ticker!!!)

Thanks Jojo! and Congrats on your weight loss also! I am actually following an exchange plan, much like the old weight watchers plan (before points) except it's based on diabetic exchanges. I've tried the points system but had a hard time following it.

Thanks for the welcome Alannah

Welcome to Elaine, Eriluo and Jenny; I am still very new here as well (a few days only).

___
I don't know what happened with my notifications for the thread but somehow I stopped getting them. So I just happened to check it out today and saw so many posts since my last one - there's a lot of catching up to do lol

On another note...I did an hour and a half of workout today (wii fit plus and toning exercises combined); I can feel all my muscles aching now. I love that feeling. My next goal is to increase my work out to 2 hours a day.

The sun is shining, I was so jealous of those here who were having the nice weather. We often get snow this time of year but it doesn't usually stay until late October. But I live in the North, so it's to be expected. Just wait until I start posting about our -40to-50 weather!!

I'm home today with a sick boy and I think I'm still sick. I went to be super early thinking I'd get up and exercise early but I slept deep until 7am and then there was no time. Since I'm home I'm doing lots of cleaning and organizing, so that's a workout in itself. I cancelled my cleaner for this week since she could only come today and the boy is sick. She just does my floors and bathrooms, with 3 kids and a full time job I never have time for all this cleaning! So I finally broke down a few weeks ago and worked it into my non=existant budget and I'm much less stressed now!

I'm not a planner and I want to be. I used to be organized before kids because I had so much time but now.....I don't know how to get back to that place and I know I will be less stressed if I were more organized. Meal planning and that kind of thing. I'm thinking I might just plan dinners and put them up on my erasable calendar I just put up. Small changes, right?
