Hello SB pals!

I am happy to report that I made it through a day and DIDN’T CHEAT! Isn’t that wonderful! Now, I have to make it through another day – one day at a time…baby steps!

My kids in my class are just precious! I have 15 girls (God help me) and 7 boys! I teach first grade and I always forget how little they are at the beginning of the year! I was really excited to see the kids in my class from last year. They were the big 2nd graders! They all ran up to me and gave me such big hugs! I just loved that class! They were definitely my favorite since I’ve been teaching. This year’s class seems like they will be great too! I’m looking forward to a great year with them.

Well, let me catch up on some posts:

BEACH: Best of luck on not putting things off. The only thing I put off is dieting! Everything else – I’m usually ahead of schedule!

WOOD: Yes it has sucked to watch the scale go up and up. But, I did it to myself. I don’t journal – I’m really bad about that. DEB has be after me to do that for years! But, I just can’t make myself!

DEB: I just can’t believe the GM situation. What GM wouldn’t tell a grandchild that she loves him/her. I can’t believe that! I know you are feeling bad and hurt but you know deep down, even though she doesn’t express it she loves you. Maybe since she’s been such a hard *** to you all her life she doesn’t know how to say something nice – it might freak you out! Haha! Well, I hope things get better – I know that’s tough on you!

ROSALIE: Isn’t it nice to see the scale go down when you think it will go up? You know that had you been home, you would have eaten better than you did. But, you did great despite the situation! Be proud!!

PANCHO: You must find pics and post them. I’m going to do the same! What grade is your daughter in? I teach 1st – they are so cute! I can’t believe that gas situation! I would just hate filling up my big SUV at those prices!! I definitely wouldn’t want to wait in those lines!! Hope it gets fixed quickly!

TONI: Just hop right back on my wagon – I’m trying to get going again too! I’ll be by to pick you up soon! When you hear the beeps…I’ll be backing into your driveway – just come on out and climb aboard!

JACK-K: I’m trying my hardest to join you on that challenge! I’m so happy with myself since I made it through one day! That is a big accomplishment for me! I do bring my own lunches and snacks. I went to the store tonight and bought some SB snacks – even Triscuits (which I hate!) But, I’m going to do it. We can do it!!

BASHFUL: I’m so sorry to hear that you were in that power outage! That must have just been horrible. I can’t imagine driving around, catching busses, cabs, trains, etc.! I’m so used to my small town living! Hope all gets better!

LIBRA: Oh yeah – I do WAY better while at work – I don’t really have time to even think that I’m hungry! Haha!

TV: Glad you are feeling better – that sounds like some crud you had! Hope all the others in the house are feeling better as well!

BOB: Don’t pass that worm along to me girlfriend! I just updated all of my virus stuff so hopefully it will catch anything that comes in that is bad.

Well ladies – I’m off to do some school work.. I’ll check in tomorrow evening. Have a great day tomorrow!

Default Monday evening....

I had eggs, and toast for breakfast, a pb&j (Polaner of course) with a glass of milk for lunch, and steak and broccoli for dinner. Snack was cukes out of the garden, and baby carrots with a bit of light ranch dressing for dip. I feel terribly munchy, and want to go find something to eat, but I am hiding from the urges in my room!

I worked this morning, then was supposed to go to a doctor appointment for lab results after work. Several things happened. First, one of my co-workers asked me to call the manager to the bakery from the front office because she was having chest pains. I called him, and got her settled in the office area in a chair. They called the paramedics, who came and checked her over. She was NOT having a heart attack, but the paramedics told her she had to go see a doctor right away. So, I took her with me to my doctor appointment. He has ordered tests for her, and we will find out more of what is causing her pain after the tests. After the paramedics left, I went to clock out of work, and found out I was supposed to leave at noon, not one. My manager was not very happy with me. I am going to have to work an hour short another day to even it out. Doesn't bother me...I don't mind leaving early!

Now for the bad news. My lab work was not good. I have been struggling with the sugar and staying away from the things not allowed on SB, and it showed. My insulin levels had skyrocketed. My doctor told me right now the single most important drug for me to take is my Glucophage! He was not happy with my blood work at all, so I am going to have to be really good to get the insulin levels back down. That said, I have been totally off sugar for four or five days now, and for two days, I have had no popcorn, no white flour. I need to get the insulin back down in order to lose, so I am hoping it won't take long!

I am feeling rather crabby tonight, and have already bitten my poor hubby's head off once or twice. Thankfully, he is a patient and longsuffering man. Actually, he acts a bit amused when I get all huffy, which tends to make me laugh.

DEB: Go ahead and vent about your GM. My MIL is a very critical woman, and I can understand how you feel. She always finds fault with me. Its the " My daughter married the most wonderful man! He does the laundry, the dishes, and cooks dinner every night! My son, however, married a good for nothing woman! He does the laundry, the dishes and has to cook dinner every night! " Good that you are dealing with it. Can you tell her how YOU feel? By the way, what in tarnation has vacuum cleaners got to do with SB????

BOB: Sorry you got that worm. So far, I think our firewall has protected our network here at home. Why do people do things like invent viruses and worms to hurt other peoples computers? Its beyond me!

TV: Sorry you were sick...I think I know what you had! I had it the week before. Nasty stuff! I am still a tad congested from it!

GATOR: My doctor has never recommended Carnetine, but if I read about it, and bring it up, he would be interested. Tell me about it.... Is it supposed to help? He lowered my Unithroid again today, but did not increase my T3. He thinks the levels are ok, but wants to see what happens once I am better about taking my Glucophage again. I had gotten out of the habit of taking it as often as I was supposed to. Not good! I am about ready to quit my job so I can concentrate on doing the things I should, like getting on the treadmill, so I can get this thyroid and insulin stuff 'fixed'. I kind of think it never ends though.... sigh.

TONI: Wow! Good to see you woman! You can do it! Lets lean on each other! I was flirting with disaster by eating some sugar on vacation, and it snowballed. I did not gain weight, which was a blessing, but my insulin levels are shot all to heck.... Back on the straight and narrow!

JACK: Watch that soy stuff..... I wish SOMEONE would make a whole grain, legal waffle! I mean, how hard is it?

MELF: Have you ever seen those back belts that they wear like at Home Depot and stuff? They have them at Publix for the stockers, and supposedly, they really help to keep your back from hurting. Maybe one of them would help you??

BASHFUL: I am sorry you had a crappy weekend, but you are doing the right thing, jumping back on here. There is no reason to hurt yourself just because your life has some thunder storms in it. I think that is pretty bad that you have to shell out all that money for parking when you are out of work. People who set the rules never think of that, do they?

QUILTER: My daughter would say you should 'regift' those gift certificates! Give them to someone else for some occasion! I hate it when people promise you something, like money, and then don't do what they said. I had a woman who's daughter was a good friend of my daughter. I kept her kids while she and her husband went to Europe on a tour. She told me she was going to give me $100 for groceries, etc. When she got back, she literally picked a fight with me, and has not spoken to me in four years. I honestly believe she decided to sacrifice the relationship rather than hand over the money! <shaking head in disbelief>

I know I missed a lot of you...please forgive me. My hands and fingers are beginning to hurt...all day decorating cakes makes it hard to spend time typing.

Lets all make tomorrow a great success!

Fruit--Way to go!!! Do it again tomorrow.

Pancho--Yep, that's the book. It was very interesting. The Diet #1 reminded me of SB with its 2 fruits and 2 starches a day. My doctor recommended the carnetine and also lent me her book, which I have just finished reading.

Monet--See Pancho's post on page 2. I have started on the carnetine and will let you know how it goes. Good luck on getting the blood sugar down. Listen to that ole doc, now!

Gotta go. It's beddie bye time.

Monday night and there are already 32 posts!

I'm very tired. I was sent on the road this weekend to stump for our referendum and then had special activities at church all day yesterday. Today was non-stop from 9 am to 8:30 pm. Tomorrow--in fact the rest of the week will be the same.

I needed to stop in just to see how everyone is doing, but I'm too tired to reply to everyone. Just know I love you and it helps just reading your posts!

Default Howdy ya'll!

Today has been a great day. Eating has been pretty good. Got in 8 miles. We walked a little more than I planned this evening 4.5. I am tired. Seven is gonna come too early. I think Lawana wants to go for 2 walks a day for a bit. I love her dedication. Last weeks grand total was 34 miles We took Sunday off. It's so funny we both had to make ourselfs take a day of rest.

I have the hiccups this evening and they are driving me batty...LOL

Deb...I am so sorry that your grand ma is like that with you.

(((((Toni))))))) WELCOME BACK! You can do it.

Monet....praying that your sugar gets lined back out soon.

Fruit....congratulations staying OP. I bet you are a super teacher. I still remember my first grade teacher...she was also my third grade teacher.

Bashful...hang in there lady. I don't think those people think sometimes. Seems like they should do something to defer part of the cost since you have to go so much.

Jack-K.....come on woman...on our way to goal. Good thing you aren't here I don't think it would take much to talk me into a piece of pizza. Actually a big juicy no no burger *smile*

Hey Kim! I bet you are gonna be surprised at WW tomorrow and have a great weigh in. WTG walking and riding your bike.

Melf...thanks for sharing from Tranquil. Please send my love if you hear from her again.

Praying you feel better soon TV.

Gator thanks for the snack tips. I sure wish I could eat eggs. I think they make a great snack. They just do not agree with me.

Poncho...I would love to weight 124 again..but I'm too skinny...but it would be fun to eat my way back up. *smile* WTG maintaining your loss. I sure hope you find those pictures. It's not only neat to share it's very encouraging for you to see the difference.

Sorry you got a worm Bob....I got one a while back and it was a pain to get rid of. But praise God it was one of those that had instructions all over the net and a patch to keep it from coming back.

Marilyn....you are such a sweetie. You are going to have all kinds of success stories to tell. Hello look how good you've done already...just sticking with it is the first step.

Well ya'll I need to get my tired booty off of here.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone

Should still be sleeping but my sister just called to tell me that my Grandmother passed away around 4:45am this morning. We knew it was coming and it came really quickly it seemed, esp. after seeing and talking to her on Sunday. My DM thinks the funeral will probably be on Thursday. Honestly, and I hope I don't sound like a *****, but I can only described my feelings of this as resined to the fact. I'm more worried about my Grandfather and his health and stability. They would of celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this year - and usually when you are with someone as long as that, I've seen it happen so often that when one goes, the other is not too far behind - but I hope, for my GF this isn't the case, he's such a sweet man, nothing like my GM, guess you can tell they weren't cut by the same cloth!

Thanks to you all for all your kind words, they really mean a lot to me. I didn't mean to spill my feelings for all to see, sorta wanted to convey where my off plan day of eating was coming from.

On a better note, I stayed 100% OP yesterday! I noticed when I lower my starchy carbs I tend to want to eat more and when I look back at old journals where I was losing, I was eating more than the 2-3 starchy carbs on most days, so yesterday I had 3 starchy foods but actually counted as 4, and I did great. They included a scant 1/2 cup cooked brown rice (haven't had rice in ages) a pot pie, & lentil soup. I'm hoping today will be another successful day. I'm going to keep the carbs up and will even go to the 5 that are suggested on the website link I posted last week. Unfortunately, I didn't drink but a couple sips of water - will work on that today.

Anyhow, I have to start to get ready to go in for my DM to work today. I managed to have her go tomorrow, I have a bunch of things to do with the kids before school starts and I have to work for her again on Friday. I am going to try and take my laptop with me to work on a post so I don't fall too far behind. I may try to get it up on the computer while I'm working but can't count on it as it's a business and they only have 1 hook-up for the phone. It gives me something to do to kill the time - it's so boring there!!!!!!

Have a great day y'all!

{{{HUGS}}}

Just a quickie,

I was trying to catch up from yesterday, but you girls were busy chatting so I will post what I can and finish later (I hope). Off to work at our job site for most of the day.

Melf, I hope your back is feeling better today. Don't over do it. Maybe one of those back brace belts would help. I know they say they are'nt too great, but it might help some. Thanks for the update on SErene. If you talk to her, tell her to hang in there and we miss here and Tranquil too.

Bashful, I'm sorry you had such a bad day and got so down. Next time, find another way to fight it. Get out an get some exercise, clean a closet, read a book. You are a special person and you need to realize that. Things willwork out, they always do, one way or another. Don't stay away from here, you could really get in trouble. We love you no matter if you are eating right or not.

Libra, sounds like youare getting the hang of this WOE. Don't keep those chips in the house and you won't be tempted.

Toni, WTG girl, I knew you could do it. One day at a time.

Gator, good idea coming on board when you are tempted to eat. Loved the snack ideas.

TV, Congrats on that 3.5 lbs. That is great. That scale will move in the right direction. Sorry you were so sick. Hope you are feeling much better.

Pancho, I thought our gas prices were high here today. $1.70. They went up 30 cents due to the power outage in NY. Go figure. But $2-$4 is outrageous. I would stay in too or ride the bus. I love working out also. I use a weight machine and free weights almost every day.

Kim, glad you were back on track with your eating. I guess you will jsut have to make time to journal, it really seems to work for you. Good luck, keep getting those miles on the treadmill.

Fruit, congrats on making it through the day. But I knew you would. First graders, wow, I can remember when mine were at that point. I think my oldest cried every day. I think if I taught, I would want first or kindergarten. Let's make it 2 days in a row. I'm not a big fan of Triscuits either, but try the new cheddar cheese ones, they are really good.

Have a great OP Day!

Default Tuesday

Hello everyone.

My eating sucks! I know I'm not eating enough. Problem is when I get hungry, there's nothing that I really want. I hope this is just a phase I'm going through and that it don't last. I am going to get a bowl of cereal when I get done with this though.

Ok, you all know yesterday I was so excited about the girls going back to school right? I was in a pretty good mood, but that died out very fast. I had a rotten day yesterday. First when I got up TOM was here, then I ran the garbage disposal and it clogged one of the pipes somewhere and backed up in the drain in the basement, and as if that wasn't enough to ruin the day, I was on the net somewhere and got some weird message that the worm going around had infected my computer. I freaked out and turned the darn thing off and left it off till hubby came home and let him deal with it. I still have no clue what the deal was, but he was on it the whole night and had no problems. I know we have a firewall and all that security stuff on here, that was the first thing he put on it when we got it.

I think I got a little exercise yesterday even though I didn't get on the TM. The basement was in this horrible mess, looked like a tornado hit it. The kids had been down there and into everything. I had to clean that mess up before the guy came out here to unclog the drain. I picked up stuff and reboxed them, then moved all the boxes of crap to one side of the basement. Then I just couldn't stand the basement looking nice without the main parts of the house looking nice, so when I was done with the basement, I started in on the rest of the house. The only thing I didn't clean was the girls rooms. I just can't stand someone to come in here and see the house in a mess; and it doesn't matter if I've known them forever or if they're only here to fix something.

The girls first day of school was good, at least that's what they told me. They didn't come home in a bad mood anyway.

Ok, now I'm off for that bowl of cereal. I'll talk to y'all later.

Good morning everyone. I'm so excited I made it through 1 whole day. Theres some little things I can do better on like drinking more water and little more vegetables but just making it though one day is a real exciteing thing for me. Now to take this day and see what I can do. I know I couldn't do this with out you all so thank you so much.

Jack-K- Well of course the Missouri news has been spouting how gas prices went up here last night and my car is empty. Plus we use propane to heat with and I'll bet thats went up too..... Ugh!!! You sound so good and its so nice to read your posts...

Debelli- So sorry about your GM. And I do so hope your GF will be fine. Boy 68 years is sure a long time to be married. You were trying to get a job and had just had an interview at the library I believe when I quit coming here. Where did you get one at? You sure did great yesterday and I wish you good luck today on eating. Do you still do all the walking and running?

angehaley- Hello I'm an oldie coming back....

CountryMom- Its so good to see you. Wow you're really doing the walking now. GREAT!!!!

Fillise- You sounded really tired and busy. Hope you get some rest gal....

GatorGal- Hows it going? Good to see you...

Monet- Hi there GAL!!!! I'm so sorry about your blood work... Yes you've got to get that insulin down. Like me and my cholesterol. My heart doctor is having a fit. They put me on extra meds besides the one I was already taking. So yep we need to work on it. Went crazy this summer with the sugar, got off SB and everything got out of control. Boy is it ever hard to rein yourself in. But we can do it I know both of us can. Its good to have some one to lean on......

Fruitloupe- Thank you so much for bringing that wagon here. Sometimes its a real struggle huh! But we're sure not alone. LOL at least I'm not going to have to ride in this dang wagon alone!!!!! Yep you're right one day at a time.... Your class sounds wonderful... But those boys are sure outnumbered..... Good luck and know we CAN do it...

The Quilter- Wow I missed you so much.... I kept thinking when I was so out of control how great it was when I was chatting with you and all the great ladies here. Things are hot hot hot in Missouri. But always ahead is Sept. And better days.... Sounds like you're right on program and thats such motivation. I'm so proud of you. Got my notebook out and I'm on my way....

kittywillow- Welcome to the world of Sugar Buster's. Its a wonderful way of eating and a healthy lifestyle. I think you'll love all the friendship and support you get here.

Pancho- Wow you are the work out queen! I really envy you.... I can't imagine likeing exercise, now that would be wonderful.... Oh my gosh on the gas prices and lines. I heard about it on the news. And saw pictures of the horrible lines. And of course it couldn't have happened at a worse time when it is so hot. I don't blame you I would be staying home too.

The Big Orange Babe- Its good to see you still around. How are the health problems? You were having such a horrible time last time I was here. Hope things got better..

Bashful- Its good to meet you. I'll get to posting more to you as I get going here.

Hope I didn't miss anyone. Have a wonderful day and stay cool.....

jecrites- Hello I'm glad to meet you. Sounds like your day was bad and good. At least you came out of it with a clean house and basement and two happy girls at the end of the day. I hope today is a better one. Looks like we were posting at the same time....

I may have a minute for a real post. things are slow out at this site.

DD's had their volleball tournament last nite. They played the whole tournament in one noight. they played their first game at 7:3 and played 7 games to win the whole tournament. They came in 2nd in the league and then beat the first place team to when it. i was excited for them, but we didn't get home until 11:30 I didn't get my wt training done, but we did get a short mile walk in before we left. ussally we don't ge to walk on Mondays at all. Now that vb is over we should get to walk every night but Fridays and I plan on getting up early and doing it before work. DD leaaves for college tomorrow so we are taking her out for Mexican tonight. I am planning right now to get either the steak fajitas or a taco salad and not eat the shell. I got some pita chips at the HFS and I am taking them with me to dip in the salsa. Send some good thoughts my way to keep out of those chips.

Speaking of, that is another snack idea. these pita chips are 1 oz for 150 calories. not sure how many calories in salsa, but can't be too much.

Monet, Girl get yourself back on program and off that sugar. You are killing yourself. just keep in mind, you aare an important person and your needs should come first. Congrats for getting rid of it so far. Now just keep up the good work.

Fillise, get some rest so you are rearing to go today. You are so busy. I hope everyone appreciates all you do for them.

Crystle, 8 miles is awesome. i just hope you don't get burned out. it is nice to have someone to talk to while you walk. Makes it much more fun.

Anglehay, thanks for the reminderabout breast cancer. Actually access wt can contribute to many diseases. if we would only remember that.

Deb, I'm sorry to hear about your GM. but considering all the circumstances, she is in a better place. I sure hope your GF does ok. 68 years is a long time to be with someone. My DM & DF were married 60 when she passed. He grieved for her for 5 miseralbe years before he passed away. I always tell my DH that I sure hope we go together. I don't want to be left alone and i don't think he could servive without me congrats on being 1% Op yesterday. It's going to be a tough week for you so do the best you can. think about you first. I find i lose better when I eat more starchy carbs. I try to stay away from them totally if I'm up but the scale doesn't move. when I eat 2- 3 I see the scale move. maybe it's the not eating enough thing. Who knows.

Jecrites, so sorry your day turned sour. I'm like you with the clean house. Just can't stand it being a mess. After DD got married, that helped alot and the other one leavaes to morrow for college so even though she is very neat, it will stay a little cleaner. congrats on turning your bad mood into something productive. you got a clean basement, didn;t eat off plan and got some exercise too.

Toni, Hey you made it through the first day. take some baby steps, Add that water and veggies as you go. don't try to do it all in one day or you will get overwhelmed. It won't take you long to get back in to the swing of things.

kittywillow, Welcome. this is a great WOE and a great place for support. Please come here often.

Bob, Hope you have a great day. Get rid of that worm?

Please excuse the typos, this is a different keyboard and I'm not used to it. Have a great day. hope to check in before I leave.

Okay, I'm here and it's only been 10 minutes and I'm already bored! There's nothing for me to do here but take phone calls - but I have to do it as DM has some hospital tests to be done today - ditto for Friday.

Not much else to tell you guys, so I'm going to jump in with replies now...

ROSALIE, sounds like they trained you like horses! I hope they at least are paying everyone for the training. Despite all the foods you had to eat that weren't on plan you managed to lose a 1/2 pound - BRAVO I'm sure being back home you'll be eating well again.

PANCHO, seeing your numbers makes me realize that I was there once, for a little while, and how I really want to get back to that point again. I'm SURE that Starbucks has SOMETHING you could have, but no Frappuccino's When we go I usually get a Tall Non-Fat 1 S&L XHot Latte. Would love to see a pic or two of you. If you can't figure out how to load one on the sight just let me know, would be happy to help. Just make sure the pic doesn't hae too many bytes. I think it has to be under 56K, if I remember correctly. Garage sales - heat doesn't bother me, I'll go out when it's hot, but the rain is another story. I've bought so many great items at garage sales!! FLAX, so many great ways to use it, just look on the web and you're bound to find lots of info! Hadn't heard a thing about the gas trouble there - that's outrageous! Hope it eases up soon.

GATOR, liked your MM thought too. I appreciate your kind words relating to my GM and myself.

TONI, I know how you feel and what you are going through. It's hard to get back on track, I know, as so many of us do, that's just one reason why the board is so important as well as fantastic - we all understand, we've all been there, and we'll all be there for you, unconditionally. If you want to talk on the telly, just e-mail me your number and I'll call-maybe a 1-2-1 would help? You've got one day down, here's to today!

TV, sorry to hear you've been sick and hope you're doing better today. CONGRATS on losing those 3.5lbs!!

BOB, can't believe you got that worm, of all people. I can just imagine you *****ing!! What did it end up doing, if anything?

QUILTER, don't you fret about those 3 pounds - you know it's not fat, unlike me, you've been doing great and it's just flukey fluctuations of your body. I promise, I'd make sure I'd get you $$$ or a gift certificate to a restaurant you love if PAUL ever did any work for me!!!

JACKK, I'm with you on staying OP 100% this week, one day under my belt and going for 2 today. What brand of waffles did you find that are so low as that? What do they actually taste like? With my GM, it does bother me, but only because I never did anything to her, my only problem with her seemed to be that I was overweight. As I got older though, I realized that if you had a weight problem, whoever you were, she made sure she pointed it out, otherwise, she found something else to point out. That's when I stopped caring so much about her, I knew nothing would ever please her, so why even try. I should of never expected that she'd redeem herself, even at the end. Now that she's gone, I hope she's up in heaven and realizing what she had done. It's not something I'm going to dwell on or take over my thoughts, it was her loss, so to speak. I'm lucky we have a very loving family, she just seemed not to be in that part of the family, at least not with me.

MELF, I'm so sorry to hear you're back is bothering you. I understand what you are talking about with your patient though, as my Aunt who was helping with my GM was just saying how hard it was for 2 people to lift her, let alone one and she probably was around that weight at this time, maybe less. I hope there's a way you can do the job minus the backache.

BAHSFUL, geez, just anticipating going to NYC made me eat! If I had to go through what you had, along with the outage, I'd not only gained the 10 pounds I did, but probably 20! Hey, were did YOU find parking in NYC for $10 - that must of been an hourly rate? It was so outrageous for parking I was so happy I hadn't driven for that reason, among many others. Oh, money situation, I can understand that too, esp. after this past month and the car trouble - haven't worked in almost 4 years-need I say more? So, I too ate off plan as you did on Sunday-at least I was in good company, I see We'll both make better choices again, I'm sure!!!

TRANQUIL, will call you this weekend - I know things are crazy and I'm glad you were able to get MELF a message to post on the board to let us know you're still alive and kicking!

LIBRA, sorry you too had a GM that went sour after being so nice, my GM though, I can't remember her ever really being affectionate to me and I can only say that I've seen one picture, when I was really little, maybe 3 years old, where she was sitting with me on the couch with her arm around me. She was the type that if you came to visit, and I went to kiss her hello, she'd turn her cheek and then turn around and continue on to whatever she was doing - so I stopped that, along with saying "I love you." Sorry, but things work both ways in my mind. That's awful about your Uncle-guess he has what I call Gert-itis (my GM is Gertrude, Gert - RUDE, if you get it). GM would say the same crap to me, "she's as big as a house!!!" Then again, she'd even say it about a newsanchor, like "look at Kelly Craig, she's gotten soooo faat." and if you heard her voice....I once said to her that I didn't like when she talked like that, her response was "I'm entitled to my own opinion!" It seemed she didn't care if she hurt you with her words, even if you told her it bothered you - need I say more?

WILLOW,
Glad you've decided to join us. Thanks for acknowledging what an awesome group of people on this board we have, you're one smart SB LEGAL COOKIE Okay, gooey stuff out of the way, here's some answers to your questions: AGAVE is a low-glycemic sweetener that you can use in place of sugar/honey. For me, I use it to bake with as it's so expensive-I make a killer crustless cheesecake with it, among other goodies. Hard to find, only HFS (health food stores) seem to carry it, if you can find ones that do. Comes in an 8oz bottle. Can be ordered on the web, but shipping may kill you. WW FLOUR, must be STONE GROUND WHOLE WHEAT, can't just say wheat flour if you are looking at ingredients in foods, ww pastry is a bit higher on the GI scale than regular due to it being finer. SB doesn't say you have to count calories or sugar grams, but I think calories should be counted and depending on your weight and other stats, that info would say how much you should be eating - you can e-mail me if you want and I can help you figure out how many calories you should be eating [email protected] Recipes, we have a ton on the recipe boards, just take a gander. Don't hesitate to ask any other questions you may have, we'd be more than happy to help out!!!

FRUIT, join those of us who had a OP day yesterday for yet another great day today - good for you Sounds like pigtails are dominant this year for you

MONET, I'm hungry, and after reading your post of the food you ate yesterday, I'm not starving and salivating!!!! I didn't bring anything for lunch here, don't have anything to bring and there's not really anything that I can think of to go buy and eat when I get out of hear at lunch time, though....I may try to get one of the kids to pop in a pot pie, rush home and then bring it back to eat, now that I think of it Sorry to hear about your lab work coming back so crappy. I'm sure your determination of getting it back to the right amounts will make it so. I see your MIL must of taken GERT lessons! So you can definitely relate. LOL-you know, it's hard to come up with polls week after week, esp. at my age when the brain doesn't work as well. Some weeks, it's just whatever comes to mind.

FILLISE, thanks for checking in, despite your busy schedule, you found time to send us a quick hello - that means a lot!

COUNTRY, OMG, 8 miles - that's awesome! You're just about there to do a half-marathon! You should try one day. You should definitely take at least one day off a week from exercising, even the experts agree, so you did well in doing so. When I was doing 6 days a week, my day off was on Saturday-garage sale day Now, I'd be happy just to get in a Saturday, or any one day. You're doing awesome - keep up the great work!!

ANGE, I don't know if we "met" or not, but if not, WELCOME! Hope you can get on the board soon, would like to learn a bit more about you.

Okay, from what I copied this morning from the board, I've now been able to get caught up. I'm going to attempt to get on line and at least get this posted and try to copy any posts that have been put up since then.

Later gals!

Debbie

Hi All...

Yesterday was crazy for me and then when I got home from work we had a horrible lightening and thunderstorm so the computers had to be off most of the night. Then the kids had homework so I couldn't get on. I really only have time for a quick HI before I get off now...

Debbie...I'm so sorry about your Grandmother. Sorry that she didn't recognize what a great person you are and that she missed out on a wonderful relationship. I'm sorry for you that she hurt you for so many years. Finally, I hope that you and she have peace now and that you can move on and not let her problems during life affect your future happiness. Letting go and trying to forget the hurt will make your future a happy one! God Bless.

Take care everyone.
