Well, today is our "Buffington Celebration" at our little school that's closing. The whole community has been invited and I'm anxious to see how many people show up. The school has been around in some form or another since 1868. There were a couple of older white wooden structures that burned back when they used wood fires for heat. Then the current brick building was built and it was added onto in the 50's and again in the 70's. It has quite a history! I'll try to post tonightor tomorrow and let you know how it goes!

sef-We go to Panama City Beach usually in September every year and the love bugs end up all over the front end of our car. They're everywhere!!

Good morning,

Did not make it to church, I am so stiff from yesterday, every moment is a pain.

DIL and GD went to premiere of GD's film last night. They had a grand time.

MONET: How frustrating with the kiln thing. Sometimes it turns out to be a simple solution, so let's hope that's what your's is.

THIN: I think the only thing worse than the lovebugs is Mayflies along the Delware. You can't see out the windshield and even with the windowasher all you do is smear innards all over. I think this year is one of the worst years for lovebugs since we've been here. Hope you have a good time at the celebration. They turned our old school in Milford into an Emporium, with antique shops, offices, and pizzeria.

Talk to y'all later.

May good things happen, Shirley

Default Good afternoon

Howdy ya'll! It is going to be a crazy week this week so if I don't get to post as much I'm not running away again, promise. I'll be away a couple of days but will try really hard to find a way to pop in while I'm out. Eating has been pretty good. I did eat a chocolate cookie in the middle of the night last night. Can I blame it on sleep walking? I didn't think so..LOL

Hope ya'll are having a GREAT weekend.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Hey everyone! I woke up early, slept poorly again. I hung around and waited for Tom to wake up and make the espresso. He finally did. I just got back from the gym. I tried some of the machines, did some bike, water aerobics, sat in the whirlpool, the sauna and then got dressed and came home. I am considering braving the cold and jumping in our pool in a bit.

I made a breakfast burrito this morning with two eggs, broccoli, cheese and a whole wheat tortilla. It was pretty good. I am hungry now, so I need to go find something to eat. I am trying to get in plenty of water...so I have had about two quarts so far today.

Default Good evening

Check it out..twice in one day . We are fixing to eat dinner so I figured I'd pop in first while I had a few minutes. You wouldn't believe how good the zuchinni smells. I layers it with diced red onions, sliced red peppers and olive oil then zapped it in the microwave. I grilled some chicken outside. This time of year is perfect for that. It is not too hot yet, though it was pretty warm today. Very close to 90.

((Everybody)) As you approach the new week know that you are loved. You are awesome and can do what ever you set your mind to. If you have a slip up or several you are still the best you there is. Good luck with the metal meanie tomorrow.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Hi Everyone

This is just a quickie before I head off to bed. I painted the ceiling and the one wall of my balcony this morning. That was hard work. The wall was easy but the ceiling not so. I didn't do a very good job but it will have to do for now. Maybe I will have energy later in the week to touch up the bad spots. The sooner the better as I want to put carpet down but can't do that until the painting is finished. I went lawn bowling this afternoon, the first day of the season. It was a good day for it as it was sunny and quite warm.

I've been feeling tired all evening and was planning on going to bed early as I have to get up early in the morning as I am going to Casino Niagara with the bowling group and the bus leaves at 8.15. Sorry I don't have time or energy for replies tonite. Will try to catch up later.

Morning! I have to leave for water aerobics in just a few, but wanted to pop on and remind everyone it is MMM! I am down one pound. Still above my low before my thyroid disaster, but I like the direction the scale is going again!

Later!

Default Good morning

I'm down 2 pounds this week. You guys are good for me. It really helps to have friends who are following the same eatig plan, have the same struggles and know where you are coming from. In the two weeks that I have been back on plan several people have innocently tried to sabbotage me. My biggest challenge this week is to start drinking my water again.

Bob...it is good to hear from you. Praying about your job situation. ((hugzz))

Rosalie...hope you are having fun on your trip this morning.

Monet...WTG the scales going down is always a good thing. You'll be back to that low in no time.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good Morning Ladies

Glad the busy weekend is over, but of course the next will be about as busy.

Didn't have a winner in 3 days at the track and parties. That sure makes it not as much fun.

MMM was up for me, water as usual. I will give it a couple days.

Country, congrats on your loss. You are truly going in the right direction. I wouldn't worry about that 1 cookie. At least it was not a bag full.

Monet, congrats on your loss too.

Bob, praying you will find a job soon.

Thin, how did your celebration go?

Sef, paint is tough enough, but ceilings are really hard. Have nice time on your trip.

Better get busy. Work is piled high as usual. Have a great day

The celebration was great with a nice turn out. We are down to the wire now with only 14 days of school left, after today!! My lead nurse came to go over some last minute details with me this morning and I won't see her again, for work reasons, till mid-late July. School starts here on August 6 next year, but our new building will be open for employess on July 16, so I'll be there setting up then.

Hoope everyone has a great day!!

all!! Hope the scale was nice to you today! I'm down another 2.2 lbs from last week. Can you tell I'm excited! It's been so long since I've seen these numbers & I'm pumped up to be so close to a new set of numbers!!

I have increased my I walked 6 days out of 7 last week, the least being 1.5 miles, & an average of 2 miles on most days, doing 3 miles on Thurs & up to 3.4 miles on Friday My walking buddy was out of town for a few days so I took the opportunity to do more! Today I just did my 2 miles since I didn't get out until past 9am & the sun was hot. Will hopefully get out earlier tomorrow.

has been good. If anything, most days I'm not eating enough. But I feel like I'm getting enough.

Well got to get ready to bring GS to a dentist appt. Then our ladies' group meets tonight & I need to find a gift for my secret sister. See ya!

I am excited! My H2Oman came today, as well as my new bathing suit! The H2Oman is a waterproof MP3 player to use in the pool. I looked for one last year and the only ones I could find were well over $100. This one is pretty nice and was only $35! The bathing suit could fit better... I think I should have ordered a smaller size. I may have to take a tuck in it to make it fit right.

I went to the bank, and the grocery store with Kaeleb in tow. He was a hit with all the cashiers both places. Tonight, I ran over to Trader Joes and got milk and coffee beans. Now we are set!

Off to check in with Tom. He had a session meeting tonight, and just got home. James is here, but heading up to Louisville in an hour or so for two days. (Solly, if you see a big tall dark haired guy installing ads on payphones, stop and say hello! )

I will try and check back in later!

Hi everyone

I didn't win anything at the casino to-day, then I didn't lose much either but it was a good day out. We only paid $10 for the bus and had a free buffet lunch which was very good. Needless to say I gorged myself but didn't eat anything for dinner except a few cheese and crackers. Will probably be starving in the morning.

Melf - I am very happy for you that you are seeing the scale go down. Maybe if I could curb my appetite I would see some good results too. I am just a miss piggy these days. .

Monet - Can you not return the bathing suit for a smaller size if it is too big? Enjoy your H2O man in the pool. Glad to see the scale is going in the right direction.

CountryMom - Congrats on your loss this week.

I just heard a short while ago that the guy is coming to do by bathroom tomorrow so I had better get off to bed. He will be here at 8 a.m. and I want to be up and have breakfast and showered before he comes and turns off the water to the br. Also my dil is coming to keep me company while he is here and at the same time she is going to paint my kitchen so I have just been in there taking down pictures, removing switch covers and cleaning behind the fridge and stove. Didn't want to prepare things before as I wasn't sure which day he was coming.

Will check in tomorow.

Good morning ladies.

Thought I would get this in before it gets crazy here. DH& DD went up to her old grade school to watch softball games. I stayed home. Fixed a meatloaf for tonight's dinner and made some frittatas (sp) for breakfast this week. Had a pair of pants to mend. I made it to the gym for 30 minutes of lower body. Ran to the tanning bed for a couple minutes. Then it was time for 24 and after that I fell asleep. I actually slept until 5:00 am. That is very unusual for me. I am normally up at least 2 times to potty. Guess I was tired.

The scale was down 4 lbs today. I need to see more by tomorrow to be happy. one of these days, I am going to get this water retention thing figured out.

Melf, You go girl You are doing fantastic. I am so impressed in your walking. I love getting into a new set of numbers on the scale. I am having a tough time getting there myself. But I know it is only my own fault.

Thin, I can't beleive you only have 14 days left. it will be a sad last day I'm sure.

Monet, I have never heard of an H2O man. What a good idea. I have been wanting to get some type of M3 player. I could have used it last night. I think I would send the suit back for a smaller size. What part of Louisville is your DS staying or working? I will keep an eye out for him. I didn't realize we still had pay phones. I would think they would basically go away with the cell phones.

Rosalie, sorry you didn't win at the casino. I think they don't plan on you winning. How long will your bathroom be under construction? What color did you decide on?

Better get busy. Have a great day.
